"Taehyung, I don't understand." Jungkook sighs as he sits in front of the latter, a menu from the diner sitting in front of him which is still untouched, only because of what Taehyung is confessing.
Jungkook sees what's happening; and although he would've been ecstatic over this very scene in high school, maybe even last month. As of now, this wasn't sitting right with him.
Taehyung gives Jungkook a smile, reaching out his hand to hold Jungkook's. The younger boys eyes were open wide and doe like as Taehyung plays with his hand. "Jungkook, I like you a lot and I don't like you being with Hoseok." He admits.
The words that come out of Taehyung's mouth only has Jungkook becoming furious.
"Taehyung, we're friends." Jungkook retracts his hand from Taehyung's, "I've been through so much, I literally used to help you get ready for dates with the girls from school. Every time I did, I-I gave you date ideas for what I wanted. I wanted that with you, Taetae, but you used it on those girls."
Jungkook starts tearing up and Taehyung licks his bottom lip instinctively. "I'm sure the date you 'planned' for us today was the one I helped you with when you asked out Jeongyeon back in senior year."
The boy stands up from his seat with a tear running down his cheek that Taehyung wants to wipe away for him so badly, but he can't move. It feel like his whole body is being weighted down by something and he can't even move a muscle.
Guilt.
"Not only that, but you had to have the worst timing ever." Jungkook laughs incredulously, wiping away his own tear with one of his sweater paws, "You had to do this when I just started getting over you, when I finally started to move on and find someone who actually might like me back. Are you sure you're not just doing this because you're afraid I'm replacing you?"
With that said Jungkook hiccups a little and grabs his phone to leave the diner to which Taehyung stands up, "Kookie, wait!" Doing as told, Jungkook stops dead in his tracks, his back still facing the older boy, "I drove you here, at least let me take you home." He says, but to his surprise the boy shakes his head no.
"Don't." He says, "I'll take the bus home. T-thanks for what-whatever this was. I-I guess." He squeaks and pushes the door open, running away as fast as he could.
