The Avengers knew about the secret between you and Stark. They knew that when he couldn't sleep at night, you were his go to.
After Pepper left him, Tony couldn't stand being or feeling alone in bed. So when he got his frequent nightmares he retreated to your room.
Today was one of those nights.
Tony shot up in bed, as sweat ran down his forehead. His pants filled up the silent room.
"Y/N?" He asked and looked around.
He got up and walked into the hallway. He had a blanket wrapped around his body. His hair was disheveled and his eyes were red.
He shivered with every step closer to your room.
Once he got to your door he knocked on it. His Anxiety taking the better of him so he knocked a couple times.
You eventually opened the door and your eyes widen at who it was.
"Tony. Come in." You said and let him in.
He nodded and walked into your room and laid in bed.
You got your pillow and blanket and laid them on the ground.
"No sleep up here with me. Please." He said.
You sighed and nodded. You got your items and slept next to him on the bed.
You whistled sweetly. This made Tony feel calm too. He loved the sound of you humming or singing. But if it was night he loved the melody you whistled.
His hand on your waist making sure you don't leave him. You hugged him, making sure he knew you were there next to him.
It always calmed him down. You calmed him down.
"Night Tony." You said and kissed his head.
His breathing calmed and he nodded.
"Next time I'll go to your room." You said and yawned.
"Promise." Tony asked.
You nodded and soon fell asleep into his embrace.

That's how it always was.
You would go into Tony's room and help him through his Nightmares.
Jarvis was there to regard you of Tony's special needs.
But One day, you didn't show up.
And it was all Clint's fault.
Partially.
Anyway, Clint thought it was a good idea to turn off Jarvis, to piss of Tony.
One of his pranks to make sure the Genius, Playboy didn't make anymore pranks on him. You thought the whole prank war was ridicule.
So Clint turned the AI off.
No one knew about Jarvis notifying you about Tony's nightmares. Everyone thought you just knew.
To make things Even Worse, Tony's room is completely sound proof. For many reasons.
So one night he was screaming loudly and calling out your name. Tears coming down his cheeks..
No Jarvis to notify you.
No screams were heard.
He opened his eyes, expecting to find you next to him. Expecting you to help him through his nightmare.
Expecting you to care for him and hug him and kiss his forehead.
But when he opened his eyes none of that happened. He waited and waited.
Tears finally escaped his eyes as he silently sobbed into his bed.
His Anxiety and nightmares getting the best of him.
His breathing fastened, he forced himself to sleep or to 'man up'.
But instead he sobbed into his pillow the whole night.
That's how it was for a couple of weeks.
And nobody knew.
Until one day,

You awoke feeling uneasy. You knew Jarvis hadn't notified you the whole week.
You smiled at the thought of Tony having no more nightmares.
The Avengers all gathered around the table and ate breakfast.
Then Tony walked into the room. Everyone looked at him.
Your heart sank at the look of him. His eyes were really red from crying. Tears still coming down his cheeks.
His hair was more disheveled from before.
Why hadn't Jarvis notified you?
"Woah your not looking so good." Sam teased.
You looked at Tony who avoided eye contact with you. He just nodded and sat at the breakfast table. His head down and not speaking to anybody.
The whole room went silent. Tony would've made a one liner. Or made a sexual comment. But Tony didn't do either.
This made you more worried.
"Tony are you ok?" You asked and placed a hand on his shoulder.
Tony growled and shrugged your hand off his shoulder. He left the table instantly not looking back.
Steve looks at you.
"What happened?" Steve asked worriedly.
You sighed and shrugged, Steve's still kept his glance.
"I don't know?" You said and looked at your team members.
Tony stopped in his tracks.
"You don't know?" He asked in a raspy voice.
His voice was filled with sadness and anger. Your turned to look back at him.
"Why are you mad Tony?" You asked. Tony turned back around and face the team and you.
Tears were now coming down his face again. He trembled with every word he spoke and he pointed an accused finger at you.
"You promised me you'd help me! You promised me you'd be by my side! You promised me you'd help me with my nightmares. You promised me to stay with me every night and meet me in my room!" He yelled at you.
His voice cracked at the end of each sentence. Your eyes widen and the Avengers were speechless.
His eyes filled with tears.
"You promised me. *sends you a sad look* and you broke that promise." He said, his breathing hardened.
You got out of your seat and stood up.
"Tony I didn't know." You mumbled. Tony sobbed harder as his nightmares sinked in.
"Do you know how many nights I was alone crying to myself. I waited and waited for you. But you never came." Tony said and tears blocked his vision.
No one has ever seen Tony this broken before. You sighed and looked at him.
Tony then walked back into his room and shut the door. You furrowed your brows together confusingly. It just doesn't make any sense.
"I don't get it. Jarvis always notify me about these things. Jarvis?" You asked the AI.
Nothing.
"What?" You said to yourself. Steve and Bucky exchange glances as you sat up.
"Who's been messing with Jarvis?" You' asked angrily. Everyone looks at Clint.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't know. It was supposed to be a prank." Clint said with a sad look.
"It's ok Clint." You said and excused yourself. You made your way towards Tony's room.
"Tony let me in." You said. The door never opened. You sighed and went back into the living room.

Tony didn't come out of his room for the next few hours. It was soon nighttime and you went to bed.
You finally got Jarvis to get back up again and he apologized about everything. You simply told Your AI it was fine.
At 2Am you got notified by Jarvis.
"Ms.Y/N. Mr. Stark is having a nightmare." The AI said.
You thanked Jarvis and headed towards Tony's room. The door was locked so you avoided knocking.
You heard Tony's panicked footsteps. You decided to lean against the door and whistle. You heard Tony's breathing hitch. Then his breathing calmed.
You felt the door open and you sat up. Tony's broken face came into view. You wiped away his tears and cupped his cheek.
You kissed his forehead and lead him to bed and slept next to him. You let him hug you tightly as he cried silently.
"It's ok Tony. I'm Here." You said and whispered into his ear. He sniffled and clutched you tighter. Making sure you wouldn't leave him.
"I'm right here."
