Guy I just really quick want to say that I just hit 1k reads on this book and you guys don't know how happy I am right now! Ah! Anyway. Sorry for the long wait. Here is the update.
Becky's POV
I looked out to see a blanket laid out on the grass in a field by the lake. Floating lanterns were floating around in the sky while lighting up the area. There was a basket on the blanket which I'm guessing had our food in it.
"Oh my god. Damon. This. This is beautiful." I whisper.
"Not as beautiful as you." He smiled down at me making me blush.
He grabbed my hand and led me to sit on the large blanket.
"You shouldn't have." I said looking around the area again.
"Only the best for you." He whispered into my ear making shivers run down my spine. He grabbed my hand in his and kissed my knuckles.
"So. What do you have planned for us?" I smiled and got closer to Damon slightly.
"Well. We are going to eat this delicious food I have prepared for us. Then we are going to look at the stars and cuddle." He smiled cheekily.
"Awe. Ya know for a bad boy you are pretty mushy." I giggle.
"I am not mushy." He gasped and puffed his chest out to look more masculine.
"Oh yes you are." I chuckle and he turned facing me with an evil smirk spread across his lips. "Damon. Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You have three seconds to run." He said.
"Wait. What?" I said scooting away from him.
"One."
"Damon!" I said kind of scared as to what he meant by run.
"Two." He said crawling closer to me.
"Shit." I said my eyes wide. I scrambled to my feet and took off towards the woods.
"Three!" I heard Damon yell and get up to run after me.
"Damon! What are you doing?!" I squeal to him over my shoulder.
Suddenly I don't hear his footsteps behind me and I stop. I turned around and didn't see him. I didn't even know where I was.
"Damon?" I called. I started to get worried when I heard a twig snap somewhere around me.
"Boo!" I heard in my ear and it made me scream. I turned around to see it was Damon.
"Don't scare me like that!" I smiled hitting his chest lightly.
"Am I mushy still?" He whispered into my ear.
"Yes." I giggle and he grabs my waist lifting me over his shoulder.
"Damon!" I squealed and lightly started hitting his back. "Put me down!"
"If you insist." He chuckled and set me on the blanket. He crawled on top of me and straddled my waist. "You're gonna wish you didn't call me mushy."
"What are you-?" I was cut off when Damon started to tickle my side. I squirmed around laughing. I was running out of breath.
"Damon- please- stop-p- that- that- tickles!" I laughed trying to get him to stop. He suddenly stopped.
"Am I still mushy?" He smiled at me looking into my eyes.
"Yes." I challenged.
"Fine then." He said starting to tickle me again.
"Okay! Okay! You aren't mushy!" I squeal through my laughter. Damon stopped and smiled down at me.
"That's what I thought." He smirked.
He was still straddling my waist as I caught my breath. We just kept looking into each others eyes. His hands were still on my waist.
"You're so beautiful." He smiled making me blush and look away. He put his finger under my chin and turned my head to look at him. He didn't say a word. His eyes just flickered from my eyes to my lips. "I mean it. You're breathtaking."
I smiled as he looked back down to my lips. His hand cupped my cheek as his thumb rubbed my lips.
"I really want to kiss you right now." He whispered looking into my eyes.
"Then what's stopping you." I replied.
He pulled my face up to his and crashed our lips together. The instant sparks were intense. Our lips moved in sync and I thought that I died and went to heaven. He pulled away and put his forehead against mine. Both of us catching our breath.
"Wow." We both whisper at the same time.
After a few moments Damon got off of me and sat next to me. I looked over at him and he was staring at me.
"Why are you staring at me?" I giggled making him blush. Really? The Damon Richards blushing? Who knew.
"Cause you're breathtaking." He whispered. My turn to blush.
"You said that earlier." I laugh slightly.
"And I mean it every time." He whispered coming closer and putting his hand on my cheek making me shudder. This whole time Fern has been flipping out and I'm trying to shut her up.
He lightly kisses my forehead and I smile.
"Now. Shall we eat?" He smiled and pulled the basket towards him.
"We shall." I giggled.
He pulled out two plates and a large bowl. He pulled the lid off of the bowl and got some silver wear out of the basket. He scooped the food onto my plate and handed it to me and smiled.
"What is it?" I asked slightly laughing.
"Try it." He grinned.
I took a bite and I was in instant heaven. I moaned and took another bite.
"So you like it?" He chuckled.
"What is this?" I moaned in delight.
"It's a family recipe. It's my great great great grams pasta." He chuckled and took a bite of his own food.
"This is amazing." I moaned again. "You need to show me how to make this."
"It's only for my bloodline and their spouses. So one day I'll show you." He smiled sweetly. I mentally awed. He is so cute.
"Good. I can't wait for that day." I smiled and lightly kissed his cheek.
"Oh. That's all I get for practically feeding you heaven?!" He smirked.
"Ugh. But I'm eating." I groaned. Damon quickly snatched my plate from me and hid it behind his back away from me. "Hey! I was eating that!"
"Give me a real kiss and you'll get it back." He smirked.
"Damon." I groaned.
"Right here." He said tapping his lips. I gave up after a few moments and kissed him quickly. Reaching for my plate behind him.
"Awe come on don't tease me." He whined.
"Hey. You got your kiss." I said taking another bite of my food.
We sat and ate our food in silence for a while. Once we were all done I was full. I laid back on the blanket and looked up at the stars. Damon put the plates back in the basket and laid next to me.
"It's beautiful up there huh?" I whispered looking over at him.
"Yeah it is." He smiled and looked at me.
"Can I tell you something? But you have to promise not to laugh." I sighed.
"Anything. And I promise not to laugh." He smiled taking my hand in his.
"This is the first date I've ever been on." I whisper and he smiles at me.
"It's okay. It's mine too." He whispers in my ear and I smile.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer as we looked up at the stars. This is probably the best date I'll ever have with Damon.
