Summary: Red Arrow breaks up with (Y/N) with no explanation, leaving her heart-broken. She joins the team a while later, only to see Red Arrow again. How will he react?

You took out your phone and scrolled through the pictures. You smiled at the selfies you took with your friends. You suddenly stopped at one picture. Then another. Then another. Your smile faded as you looked at the photos sadly.
--Flashback--
Your eyes lit up at the card in your purse. You quickly snatched it and hurriedly opened it.
To (Y/N),
Come to the rooftop. I have something to tell you.
From, Roy.
You slightly frowned at the lack of excitement, but shrugged it off. You quickly slipped on your jacket and grabbed your purse. You started to walk up the stairs to the rooftop, your heart pounding with excitement and nervousness.
Your hand trembled as you slowly opened the door. You saw Roy standing at the railing, back facing you.
"Um, hey, Roy! W-What did you want to tell me?", you said as you walked towards him.
You gently placed your hand on his shoulder but he shrugged it off, making you hurt and confused.
"Roy! Talk to me!", you said desperately.
"Do you love me?", Roy suddenly spoke up, back still facing you.
"What? O-Of course!! What is it?", you said nervously.
"We... we need to break up.", Roy said.
You slowly processed his words and burst into tears.
"W-Why? Why, Roy?", you whispered.
"We can't... we just can't be together.", he said bluntly, seeming to show no emotion at all.
You wiped away the tears on your face and raced down the stairs.
You immediately grabbed the card and ripped it into a million tiny shreds as tears fell from your eyes.

You sighed and deleted the photos of you and Roy.
You suddenly noticed a blinking red light flashing in your purse.
You immediately smiled with excitement.
Today was the day! You were joining the Young Justice league!!
You quickly grabbed your purse and walked over to a nearby alleyway. You stepped inside and you teleported to Mount Justice.
You walked into the locker room(?) and changed into your supersuit. You walked out and scanned the area.
Wow... swanky! You thought to yourself, grinning.
Suddenly, Batman himself walked over.
"Hello. You must be (Y/N) (L/N), (S/H/N).", he said.
You nodded, smiling brightly at him.
"Follow me.", he said. With that, he turned around, not bothering to check if you were following.
You followed him to the the Mission Room and you gasped at how big it was.
You saw the other members looking at you.
You nervously gulped.
"Team. This is your new member. (S/H/N).", Batman declared.
You timidly waved, "Hi."
A green girl flew over to you and smiled widely.
"Hi! I'm M'gann M'orzz, also known as Miss Martian! Nice to meet you!", she said cheerfully.
Suddenly, a boy with ginger hair flashed up to you.
"Hey! Name's Wally West. Also known as superhero, Kid Flash. Nice to meet you, beautiful.", he smirked and kissed your hand.
You pulled your hand away from him and gave him an amused smile.
A girl with blonde hair walked up to you and slapped the back of 'Wally's head.
"Don't mind him. He's a flirt.", she said as Wally rubbed the back of his head, glaring at her.
"Artemis Crock.", she said, softly smiling, "Nice to meet you."
The other members introduced themselves and smiled.
"Soooo... you know our real names, so what's yours?", Wally said.
"Oh, I almost forgot! My name's (Y/N) (L/N).", you smiled.
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl.", Wally said, and winked at you.
Suddenly, another ginger haired boy with sunglasses walked in.
You squinted at the figure as his jaw dropped.
"(Y-Y/N)?", he said.
Your eyes widened. You'd know that voice from anywhere.
"Harper.", you hissed, narrowing your eyes at him.
He shifted his feet uncomfortably and looked down.
The other members looked at the scene in confusion.
"Umm... you know eachother?", M'gann said, breaking the silence.
"Yeah... yeah we do...", you said.
Batman cut in, "Alright, team. Artemis. You show (Y/N) around."
Artemis nodded and Batman walked out of the room.
You hurriedly walked away with Artemis.
"So... how do you know Roy?", Artemis asked, making you sigh.
"Bad history.", you simply said, looking down.
Artemis sensed that the subject was uncomfortable for you and dropped the subject.
"Sooo... this is the Hanger.", Artemis said, pointing at a room.

Roy couldn't believe his eyes. It had been so long since he last saw you...
"Roy? You know her?", Robin asked, curious.
Roy sighed and nodded.
He quickly left the room before they could ask anymore questions, leaving the other members confused and puzzled.
He quickly made his way outside to the Rhode Island coast. He sat down and took his sunglasses off.
He remembered that horrible, terrible day like it was just yesterday.
--Flashback--
Roy knew he had to do it. He knew he had to. To protect you. He had no choice. He left a card in your purse and walked up to the roof.
As he walked he felt his heart grow heavier. Every step he took he felt like turning back. But he reminded himself that he HAD to do it. Even if it meant breaking your heart.
He walked over to the railing and leaned on it, closing his eyes.
"Um, hey, Roy! W-What did you want to tell me?", he suddenly heard your soft voice say. Oh, how he would miss your voice.
He felt you place your hand on his shoulder and shrugged it off, closing his eyes tightly with regret.
"Roy! Talk to me!", he heard you say desperately, making his heart break.
"Do you love me?", he said. His throat felt dry.
""What? O-Of course!! What is it?", you said, and Roy took a deep breath, holding back tears that were threatening to come out.
"We... we need to break up.", Roy said.
He heard you burst into tears and resisted the urge to comfort you.
"W-Why? Why, Roy?", he heard you whisper in a broken voice.
A tear fell from his eye.
"We can't... we just can't be together.", he said bluntly, hiding his sadness and regret.
He heard you turn and race down the stairs, the sound of your shoes on the hard stone.
He slowly kneeled down and let the tears fall.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N). I'm so sorry!", he sobbed, gripping onto the metal railing.

He sighed, hiding his face his his hands.
And now you were back. He never stopped loving you. He didn't want to let you go. He never did. He just wanted to protect you.
And now... he wanted you back.

You walked into the lounge, where you left you purse.
As you picked it up, a piece of paper fell from the purse.
You slowly knelt down and gently took it.

A smile took over you and you quickly hurried over to the entrance to Rhode Island coast.
You opened the door and gasped.
On the ground were a thousand rose petals. Candles lit a pathway to a stage with a piano. Sitting at the piano was a figure you couldn't quite make out.
You stood still and flinched when the figure started to play the piano.
You gasped when you saw the figure's face.
Roy.
He started to sing:

I thought that because you and I were a couple, villains would go after you. So I broke up with you so that you wouldn't be in danger because of me. But I didn't want to. I never did. I never stopped loving you, (Y/N). I still love you, and I'd still love you even if you reject me. But I love you, (Y/N). I love you.", he said, cupping your cheeks.
You gave him a small smile as he wiped away your tears.
"I love you, too.", you choked out, truly moved by his song and his words.
You both slowly leaned in... and connected once again.
