“The eagle is landing, going radio silent.” She chimed to the Bluetooth as she headed for Dick’s office.

Dean set down the cell phone that was on speaker, “All right, let us know when you’re out.”

“So do we just wait now?” Breanna asked spinning around in the chair.

“Yep.” Dean answered.

*********************************************

Within a few minutes she had the information she was looking for.

The door clicked shut on its own accord and she jumped, how did that happen.

Time for Plan B. She thought. Rising from her chair and heading to Dick Romans’ bathroom.

The security guard unlocked the door and stepped into Dick Roman’s office, looking around. He saw Charlie’s bag sitting on the table. He heard the flush of a toilet and she walked out, wiping her hands on her jeans.

“You said first door on the left right?” She asked innocently.

“No,” The security guard corrected, “First door on the right.”

“Oh silly me,” She said curtly, and took a pen off of Dick Roman’s desk, “Always forgetting things—like I forgot to give you my digits.” She began writing down an imaginary phone number.

“Dick doesn’t like people in his office,” The guy reasoned, “We really shouldn’t be in here.”

“I’m sure, have you seen his bathroom? She whipped around, grabbing her purse and smoothly pulling out the flash drive when she set the pen back down. “Got to go.” She smiled and walked away from the guard, back into the halls.

***************************************************************

“Well this is awesome,” Dean said boredly, drinking the mountain dew I had brought in since Bobby ran away with his flask and beer contents. “Let’s always do this,” Dean said sarcastically, “We’ll sit in the van and send in the 90 pound girl.”

I grinned, “Well, looks like you’re up next time Breanna.” I said and she shot me a look. She wasn’t really that skinny, just about Charlie’s build to be honest.

Sam was busy pouring Borax into a container, “Dean, every Chomper in the book knows our faces, how many do you think are in that building?” He screwed on a cap. “We wouldn’t make it past the lobby.”

“Yeah, we know,” I said bitterly, “It doesn’t mean I enjoy being a sitting duck.”

Dean scoffed, “We sent in a genius version of Veronica Mars to do our dirty work.”

Sam set down the borax, “She’ll be fine…or we’ll go in.”

His brother nodded his head, “We’ll get as far as we can, damn right.”

I knew what he meant, we would kill as many evil S.O.B.’s as we could, or die trying.

********************************************************************

Charlie sat down at her own desk now, and took another swig out of the flask. Not quite so fast, she reminded herself thoughtfully, you don’t want to get wasted when you’ve got work to do.

She plugged in the USB Flash drive, cracking her knuckles out of habit. Time to kick it in the ass. She thought with a smug grin.

“Hey guys,” She said quietly to the Bluetooth.

“Hey,” Dean replied back, a hint of relief in his voice.

She grinned, “Sending you all the flagged Dig Files now.”

******************************************************************

Back in the van we cheered, “Charlie—you are a genius!” Sam praised, and Breanna grinned, not caring that Sam praised Charlie now that we found out Sam wouldn’t even be her type. She wouldn’t admit to it, but she liked that giant, broad-looking hunter named Sam.

“I know,” Charlie replied, complimenting her intelligence.  She hears a door open and footsteps approach. Her face falls as she peeks up out of her cubicle, the blood draining out of her face once she sees who it is.

It was the Leviathan Pete.

“Damn it.” She swore, minimizing what files she could. “Hey Pete.” She said merrily, “Guess we’re both on deadlines huh?”

“How’s it going?” He asked.

She looked at the computer, “Good, good. I’ll give you a full progress report in a few hours.”

“Great,” The leviathan smiled and patted her on the shoulder, “Gotta meet that deadline right?” Charlie refrained from flinching at the touch of him, “Well, holler if you need anything.” He said and she gave him a smile and a thumbs up, breathing a sigh of relief as he walked away.

She sat back down in her chair, “What was that about?” Hope asked, sounding genuinely concerned.

“Oh just my manager, the monster.” Charlie said, eyes wide.

“Leave,” Dean ordered and she shook her head.

“I can’t. I got to act normal. I told em I was working, let’s just finish this.”

She clicked a file and her eyes widened, “Are you seeing this?”

Breanna scrolled through the documents, “Dick Roman stopped the archaeological digs days ago.”

“Why?” Charlie questioned, perplexed.

Sam’s brow furrowed, “I guess he found what he was looking for.”

Dean looked at the screen, “Can you—”

“Way ahead of you—” Charlie chimed, “Looking at travel reports, expenses. Here we go, something in his suitcase was left in Iran, spent the last 72 hours in armored cars and private planes. Whatever it is, its coming here for Dick, tonight. So…what the hell is it?”

“I don’t know,” Dean answered, “Whatever it is, he wants it bad.”

Hope’s eyes narrowed, “which means we do too.”

“Well,” Charlie replied, “It’s landing at a private Airport near here—crap—right about now. A courier’s set to pick it up.”

Dean looked at his watch, “What the exact landing time?”

“42 minutes. Can you make it?”

“Damn well try.” Dean replied as Sam looked up coordinates on the GPS. “Uh Charlie one more favor, then get the hell out of there.”

Charlie listened patiently, nodding her head in agreement.

“What do you need?” She asked.

“More time for starters.”

She grinned, hacking into an email, sending it directly to Dick Roman, informing him his package would be delayed a half hour do to weather conditions.

“I’ll finish walking you guys out of the drive and get the hell out of dodge.”

“Call us when you’re out.” Dean replied.

“Sure, I’ll text you from the border bro.”

********************************************************

Dick Roman sauntered along, talking on his cell phone, “Outstanding,” The Leviathan declared, adjusting his black bowtie connected to his tuxedo. “And you’ll call as soon as the package is in hand?”

“Absolutely,” The Leviathan by the name of Victor replied, watching people walk in and out of the airport.  “I’m here waiting. In fact I’ve got time for a light snack.”

He hung up the phone, walking along in his brown leather shoes into the parking lot, into the crisp cool night.

*************************************************

Charlie unplugged her flash drive, and tucked it into her pocket as she adjusted the strap on her backpack that was slung over her shoulder.

She turned to leave and smacked right into Dick Roman.

She gasped, “Hey Charlie,” He said in his twisted pleasantries, “I was hoping I’d find you here.”

*********************************************************

Breanna had stayed behind, trying to assist Charlie in any way she could, while Dean, Sam and Hope checked out the airport.

They had sent in a one man squad, Sam.

He had been bountiful, swapping out the suitcase with another suitcase similar to the one  snatched.

They threw the suitcase in the trunk, and exchanging glances.

Sam, feeling rather uncertain asked, “Now what?”

“See what we’ve won.” Dean claimed and opened the case. Hope’s breath caught in her throat as Dean  unfolded the blanket it was wrapped in.

She frowned, unsure of what she was looking at now that she saw it. Hope looked at Dean in surprise, “What the hell, we stole a block of cheese?” She asked looking at the dark orange smooth surface.

“No,” Sam replied, “I think it’s a hunk of red clay?”

“That’s the key word,” Hope retorted, “think, not know.”

“Why don’t we answer that a few thousand miles away from here?” Dean replied closing the case.

“Sounds good to me.” She said as they slammed the trunk door shut.

“Come on, let’s see how Charlie and Breanna are doing back in the creeper van.”

******************************************

Charlie hadn’t even left her office, Dick hovered next to her as she browsed Frank’s hard drive for any information. Luckily she erased it all before she ran into him.

“So there’s nothing on here about me, or my company?” Dick Roman asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.

“Mnh-mnh.” Charlie answered in reply.

“How about a Sam or Dean? Or a couple of pesky girls?”

“I’m sorry who?”

“Sam and Dean Winchester. There would also be some information on a wolf perhaps? Give it a little peek, would you?” Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she searched.

Bobby stared at the Leviathan with an intense hatred, this was the man that had killed him, and tried to take him away from his boys, “Dick Roman,” He loathed under his breath, then caught himself. “No, come on, the girl’s right there. Worry about her.”

“Is it me, or did it just drop 10 degrees in here?” Dick Roman commented.

Charlie nodded in agreement, “It is a bit nippy, yeah.”

“I’ll have maintaince check the A/C. I can’t have you cold now can I?”

Bobby glared, “You  miserable….” He froze in his tracks before he could charge himself at him, “Damn it Bobby come on.”

The computer beeped, No Results.

“Nothing about those Winchesters.”

“If items were deleted from the drive, would you be able to tell?”

“Not if they were deleted properly,” She admitted, and caused Dick Roman to scowl.

“Well,” He admitted, “They’re crafty, have all the data sent to me.

Charlie’s clicked the keyboard a few more times, “Of course.”

Dick Roman paused, “So really…how did you do it?”

“D—do what?” Charlie stammered, looking at him with uncertainty.

“You broke the unbreakable, what’s the thought process?”

Charlie realized then he truly did not understand humans as well as he thought. “Walk me through it and ix-nay the jargon.”

“Uh, nothings unbreakable really.” Charlie tried to explain, “Nothing’s safe if you poke at it long enough.”

He nodded, “Nothings safe, I like that.”

Charlie gave a fake smile in return.

Dick Roman stood, towering over her, “But that’s not what I’m asking Charlie. You’re spark, its one in a million. Believe me, when you’ve got it you have it. You invent guns, ipads and viruses; and holy crap you can be crafty. What is that Charlie?”

Her smile faltered, “Um…”

“’Cause I can feed every fact in your brain to someone else, and they still wouldn’t’ be able to be you.”

She remembered Pete being killed in the parking garage, and she restrained a shudder. “I guess you can’t clone me.” She whispered softly.

His eyes narrowed, “Don’t think that doesn’t piss me off.”

It was silent until a cell phone rang, it was Dick Roman’s.

He flipped it open. “Yes? Fantastic bring it up to my office. I’ll be right there. ”

He hung up and looked at Charlie in contentment, “I think we’re on to something here,”

Charlie knew she needed to leave and she needed to do it now.

“Stay here will you? I’ll be back in two shakes.” He said and left walking down the hall.

“Ew.” was all she could reply.

**************************************************************

Charlie quickly stuffed her bag full of her equipment, slinging it over her shoulder.

There was noise on her Bluetooth. “Girl, you need to get outta there!” Breanna urged, “Soon as our little surprise goes off you’re on their most wanted list.”

“I know, I know.” She said, “Are the others back yet?”

“Not quite, they’re on their way.”

“Okay.” She answered, some relief flooding into her voice, all she needed to do is get out of the building in one piece and she’d be golden.

*********************************************

Dick Roman was led into a room by Victor, who held the briefcase tightly.

“I’ve been looking for this for a very, very,  long time.” Dick said with a smile as Victor opened the box. Inside it did not reveal the item he expected. Instead it was a borax container rigged to a bomb.

“Now who could have done that?” He said darkly as the borax exploded.

His comrade, Victor fell to the ground, his face burned off. Dick Roman moved, taking a napkin and using it to lift up the phone, “Apparently nothing is safe.” He said darkly. “Lock the building down, now!”

Charlie ran, and gasped as she tried to pry open the glass door. It wouldn’t budge. Her heart began pounding even faster as she saw Dick Roman trailing down the steps, his face twisted into a snarl.

***********************************************************

Bobby had to get the girl out, he knew that. He looked at the glass doors and pushed onto them, the glass cracking and spider webbing across the building. Charlie gasped, unsure of what happened.

Pete, her Leviathan boss surged forward. “Hold on there Charlie,” He growled.

Bobby’s eyes narrowed at the sight of Dick Roman and he threw Pete aside, right into Charlie, she smacked into the floor with Pete.

He grabbed Dick Roman by the collar, and hurled him into the step railing. Dick Roman staggered back onto his feet, a sadistic smile on his face.

******************************************************************

Charlie was laying on to the ground, clutching her arm in pain.

The glass window shattered, as a russet wolf barged in, her eyes glowing like blue coals. Charlie looked up, her eyes widening as Sam and Dean were behind her, eyes narrowed.

A security guard lunged forward, along with a few other men. “Dean—” Charlie cried, “he’s one of them.”

At that same moment Pete lunged forward and with a snarl Hope jumped, shoving him across the room, away from her and Charlie.

Dean threw borax at the Leviathan, Pete and he screamed as boils covered his face from the heat, smoke rolling off his body. Sam punched the security guard in the face and the Leviathan. Sam jumped backward and took Charlie and her bag, in his arms.

Dick Roman smiled once he realized what had happened, that Charlie had deceived him, “You’re hanging with the wrong crowd kiddo.” He snarled walking forward. Sam and Dean began backing up alongside the wolf wearily, who had flattened her ears against her skull, baring her teeth in warning. She backed up as well.

Dick Roman started to pull out his 45-pistol. “NOT SO FAST DICK!” Bobby growled throwing the politician into the wall. He appeared in front of the others, wanting to protect them as much as kill Dick.

He disappeared again, just as Dick pulled himself into a sitting position. A smile played across his face, “All right, show yourself. Let’s do this like real monsters.” He went to stand and he was slammed back into the wall. He let out an evil laugh, “You gotta do that again, that tickled.” He mocked.

Hope swished her tail as she turned and lunged out of the building, “Come on,” Sam urged stepping over the glass, his leather workman boots squeaking. Dean quickly followed him, leaving Dick Roman behind.

*****************************************************************************

Sam threw Charlie in the backseat of the old junker, while Hope shifted, flinging open her side of the door, jumping in. Charlie shouted in surprise at Hope’s abilities and with a squeal of the tires, Dean raced off.

Hope sighed, brushing glass off her coat. Charlie stared at her, her jaw dropped. Hope ignoring her as she said. “Sam you got the bag with Bobby’s flask in it right?”

“Right,”

“Good that means we didn’t leave him behind then.” She stated, rolling down the window, she took a shard of glass out of her hand, wincing in pain before throwing it into the street behind them.

“Are you okay?” Dean asked sharply turning a corner.

“A few cuts from the glass,” She replied, “Nothing that can’t be dealt with later.”

Breanna drove the creeper van a couple of blocks down to our new rendezvous point. Her and Isis paced around the van, waiting impatiently for us to arrive.

After switching some of our equipment from the van to the doorway we began driving down the road, Charlie was jammed next to me in the seat, she stared ahead but her eyes kept falling on me.

Looking at her arm, I couldn’t smell any blood coming off her, but that didn’t always mean anything.

I asked, “Are you okay?”

“No!” Charlie spat, “Why didn’t you kill him!?”

“We can’t yet,” Sam said quietly, but I saw she wasn’t looking at any of them when she had asked her question, she was staring directly at me.

My eyes narrowed, “I can’t, I can only hold them off so they weren’t getting to you. I’m really reluctant to draw blood on Leviathans, because their blood is so…toxic.” I had never tasted Leviathan blood, and I was worried what would happen if I did.

Charlie nodded, “The really evil ones always need a special sword, maybe that’s why you can’t do it.”

I blinked, surprised at her reaction.  What was wrong with this girl?

She winced in pain, clutching her arm, “Okay, I think…I’m gonna pass out now.” She leaned heavily against me, and her eyes closed as she sank into unconsciousness.

“Wow,” Breanna said, “She wasn’t kidding.”

I shook my head at Charlie, lifting her off me and gently leaning her against the window.

************************************************************

“They have it!” Dick Roman spat, fury in his eyes and he snapped into the cell phone, “NOW GET IT BACK BEFORE THEY FIGURE THE DAMN THING OUT!!”

The Leviathan rose wearily, “Please sire, don’t bid me,” He begged,

“Bid you!?” Dick Roman spat, “Why would I waste a perfectly good meal!!?” He snarled, fangs coming out from all sides of his face as he grabbed the frightened Leviathan.

********************************************************************

We walked out of the free first aid care, they had tended to Charlie’s broken arm. We headed to the bus station, waiting with Charlie to take her leave. Breanna sat next to me, looking at my bloodstained hands.

“Are you sure you don’t need a doctor?” She asked, looking at my hands which had traipsed through glass the night before.

“I’ll be fine, besides, I got the glass all out already.” I said and I lowered my voice, “Plus, if they went to help me by plucking glass out with tweezers, you know very well what those are made out of, and they would only do me more harm than good.” The only tweezers I used were some that were dipped in a clear coat of paint awhile back, to prevent me from getting burned from the inside out. Yes, that was a literal statement.

Dean looked at me and wrapped his arm around my waist. “You did good, you know.”

I grinned, “I know.”

He stood up, “Can you walk with me?” I nodded and stood up following him outside for a moment, out by the buses.

Dean stopped and turned towards me, “You still have the knife of Faint, right?”

I nodded, “Yes, why?”

“I need you to use it, I realize how you stand just as bad of a chance getting killed by those Leviathan’s as I do—”

“Dean—”

“—and I want you to go home, and live a safe life, when this Leviathan mess is over, I will come for you.”

I literally growled, causing Dean to take a step back. I was hurt, he wanted me to leave? Tears of frustration filling my eyes, “What the hell makes you think I will leave on my own accord!? You’re such an idiot—I’m not leaving you here in your own world that’s being turned into a meat market so I can go home and twiddle my thumbs. I love you, and you’re stuck with me.”

Dean raised his eyebrows, “You…what?”

I glared at him, “You heard me, I love you—you ass!” I crossed my arms in frustration, “Don’t try to get rid of me again.”

His gaze fell away from me, “I’m sorry. Its just—I don’t want to lose anyone again.” My heart caught in my throat, when I realized again how many people he had lost.

“I won’t leave you…I promise.” I said placing my hand on the side of his jaw, turning his gaze to me. I managed to give him a genuine smile. “I won’t die without a fight, because we have something to fight for, unlike Dick.”

“What would that be, a polluted earth?” Dean said bitterly. “Sometimes I look to see what it is we’re trying to save and I don’t always see something worth saving.”

“We’re fighting for more than this big old giant rock we live on.” I reminded him, “We’re fighting for our future. I want you to come with me home. To the closest thing we’ll ever have to peace in our lives. We are fighting for our paradise.”

I wasn’t much for being sentimental, but I truly meant what I had said. I loved him…and we were fighting for more than earth, we were battling for paradise.

**************************************************************************

Breanna and Charlie walked out alongside Sam, “Thanks so much for helping us—and teaching me a couple of new tricks.”

“You’re welcome,” Charlie grinned. Dean and I walked up, his hand wrapped tightly around mine.

“We couldn’t thank you enough,” Sam added and Charlie smiled, now seeing Hope and Dean.

“Actually you can.” She replied and we paused, “Never contact me again, like, ever, deal?”

“Like totally.” Breanna mocked.

“Keep your head down okay?” Dean advised, knowing she should try and remain as discreet as possible for a while.

“This ain’t the first time I’ve disappeared,” Charlie said with a smile.

We all raised our eyebrows, “You think my name is really Charlie Bradbury? Please….So good luck with saving the world. Looks like you’re gonna need it. Peace out bitches, ” She replied and gave us the live long and prosper vulcan hand sign.

I grinned, doing the same thing with my free hand, earning a look from Dean. Charlie was so weird, but she was kind of awesome, in a geeky kind of way. She reminded me of a geeky red headed version of Breanna.

“She’s kind of like the little sister I never wanted.” Dean said with a smile as she jumped onto the train.

Breanna laughed, “She’s like the lover Hope never had.”

I blushed fiercely smacking her arm.

“Ow!”

“Do you really think that’s cute!? How about we get a Trekie down here to start flirting with you!? Or even better, if we ever run into the Ghostfacers—”

“—God help us we don’t—“ Dean chimed.

“—then I am absolutely sicking Harry and Ed on you!” I hissed.

Sam chuckled, as we walked along the bus station. “Uh listen we gotta talk.”

“You mean before we get back to the car and the flask,” Dean asked, not wanting to talk about Bobby that much.

“What in the hell happened back in the lobby?” All I remembered was Bobby getting worked up and saving our hides, by slapping that Levi around a little bit.

“Man—” Dean shook his head, “If I had a free shot I’d bitchslap the hell out of Dick.”

“Me, too.” Breanna agreed.

“Yeah, but I mean. Charlie got her freakin’ arm broken.”

“Because of Bobby,” I said and Dean frowned.

“He didn’t mean to do it.”

“Exactly. He’s not in control, not about Dick. That was vengeful spirit crap.” As much as I didn’t like Bobby going vengeful, I wasn’t exactly one to be talking about temperament control. The first time I had shapeshifted I had ripped the throat out of a hellhound. So I didn’t know exactly how to respond.

Even though I knew it was wrong for Bobby to lose his cool, I couldn’t help but feel he saved us.

“I know but it’s still Bobby.”

“But if he really goes there, he wont be anymore.” Sam stated. “And then we wont be able to pull him back and then what are we supposed to do?”

“I know.” Dean answered, his eyes falling on his brother. “Look, let’s just figure out what it was we stole and then figure out what the hell to do with Bobby.”

Dean walked ahead, past gate 6. I followed him, knowing Breanna and Sam had paused, talking amongst each other.

Now we had to figure out a few things, how to handle Bobby, finding a way to successfully kill Dick Roman, and figure out if what we stole from him in that suitcase was actually useful or not.

I sighed, and took Dean’s hand, I couldn’t wait for this Leviathan mess to be over with.
