It's been 4 weeks since I met Fabian and 3 weeks since I became Luna just as Tavi became Beta Female and Serena became Gamma Female. We're all happy that we're here and we're here together.
To say that the pack's accepted us would be an understatement. They've been so warm and welcoming, they make me feel at home. The past three weeks have been smooth. Everything's fine and well. No rogue attacks, no robberies....everything's just been...peaceful. Kinda weird but at the same time relieving.
I know for a fact that Tavi, Serena and I were quite nervous to take our positions, but I guess we got through fine. Darius helped us a lot with coping with the history of the pack and introducing us to pack members as well as getting familiar with the pack itself. When he's off duty, he usually comes over to our place (We all live under the same roof. I amn't even kidding when I say it's the best thing to be so close to each other and have some privacy) to play some video games with us in the game room or watch a sappy movie in the movie room just to comment on it. At other times, we're mostly busy with pack work. Me helping Fabian with the paperwork, Tavi helping Tyler with the patrols and making sure everything's under control, and Serena helps Will with the training. To say I'm proud of the two of them would be too little. Serena especially. She's 17 and she's been a great Gamma female. Sometimes, I tend to go around wearing a long hood, kinda like Princess Jasmine's, to get away from the paperwork for a while. I like being in the market. Always so lively and cheerful, it rejuvenates me. Fabian knows that I go out on small prommenades like these and he's fairly content with the fact that I'm quite comfortable with the people here.
Speaking of Fabian and me, we've completed the mating process now. His mark lies on the spot where my neck meets my shoulder, like mine on his. Seeing the fact that Tavi is happier now, which is really weird to say, because she's mostly onto the dark side, both of us are, I believe that she's marked as well. She's been wearing a lot more turtle necks....hmm. Looks like someone's hiding something.
Speak of the devil and the devil appears.
Tavi walked into the kitchen holding an empty cup in her hand. "Coffee?" I asked her. She shook her head, "No, thanks. I'm good. I just had one. I'd rather have a beer or something right now." She said.
"Tired, I presume?" She nods.
"It is quite stressful, you know. We have to take care of the whole pack and this one's huge. Besides that, I haven't really had a chance to just sit down and think about it all, or even enjoy some time with Ty. And we share the same bed." She finished by rolling her eyes. She took a seat on one of the stools at the dinning table and put her head on top of her folded arms.
I sighed. "I get it. It's been tiring. But on the bright side, we don't have to deal with rogue problems."
Serena entered the room and asked us "Hey, you guys wanna go for a run? Willow really wants to get out and about. She's annoying the crap out of me." I chuckle at her annoyance at her wolf. I nodded nevertheless, while Tavi said "Yeah, I guess we could use that. It's been some time since Noor's been let out."
We all went to the nearby woods on foot and then put our clothes away to phase. Once I had shifted into my white coloured wolf, Tavi into her auburn wolf, and Serena into her blonde one, we let them play tag with each other and chase squirrels.
Out of nowhere, a twig snapped and we all stopped. We turned around to find a big greyish-silver wolf standing there. I relaxed and went forward to nuzzle Fabian.
'Hey. What are you doing here? Is everything okay?' I asked through our link.
'Yeah. Everything's fine. We just came here to get you. We were thinking of going for dinner outside. You okay with that?' Fabian answered and questioned.
'Of course.' I said
Just then I noticed Will and Tyler make their way over to their mates. After they nuzzled each other, us girls made our way to the spot we left our clothes at. We changed back and got dressed.
"So where do you think we're going?" Serena asked us. I shrugged as did Tavi. I looked at Serena and saw something on her neck.
"So. Will grew some balls, huh?" I asked with a smug look on my face. Serena's face blared red. Tavi 'oohed' and then started to sing "Serena and Will sitting in a tree, F-U-" but before she could continue, she was stopped by none other than Serena who said "Shut up! It's not like Tyler didn't mark you. I saw his mark when we changed. And please, the next time you guys are doing 'it' use the spare bedroom. My ears bled yesterday. It was so cringey that I almost moved out." Now it was Tavi's turn to blush and she did before muttering "Whatever." and looking away.
We met up with the guys and made our way to our SUV. Fabian climbed into the driver's seat while Tavi and Tyler sat right behind us and Serena and Will in the last seat. "So where are we going Fabe?" I asked.
"A restaurant." He answered.
"Oh thanks so much Ian. I totaly didn't know that before." Tavi said sarcastically. Fabian just chuckled and shook his head.
I frowned and said "Ce n'est pas juste, Fabian!" (It's not fair Fabian!)
"C'est vraiment. Tyler, aidez-moi. J'ai besoin de savoir!" (It's true. Tyler, help me. I need to know!) Tavi said and then placed her wrist on her forehead and continued. "Est-ce trop de drame?" (Is it too much drama?)
"Un peu." (A little.) Serena said from all the way in the back.
Tyler and Will just blinked. "I just undestood Tyler and Fabian." Tyler spoke.
"Well, some things are for us to know..." Tavi said while Serena and I continued "...and for you to never find out." We burst out laughing together. Fabian shook his head again, smiling while he pulled up in front of an Italian restaurant. "Italian? Seriously? Why not French?" I ask him. "'Cause you guys always speak in french and we've got tired of France. So we decided to take a break and come to Italy instead." Will answered. I just stared at him. "Wow. That was so funny, I forgot to laugh." I say just as Serena flicked his forehead and Tavi kicked his left foot.
"Ow. Stop! Why gang up on poor little me?" He asked.
"Well if you didn't notice," I started
"We're French!" Tavi, Serena and I said.
"Well I don't know about me, but I grew up with a french mother. It still counts right?" Serena asked and I nodded.
Just then, a loud crash sounded from beside us. My head whipped to the source to find a...a...something. Something which looked like a bird, a vulture perhaps, but it had a human's head...and torso I guess. "What the hell is that thing?" Tyler exclaimed. "Harpy." Tavi said studying the creature. "Half vulture, half human. A creature from ancient Greece."
"But that's not possible. They're supposed to be extinct. Hell they're fictional!" Serena cried out as Tyler and Will agreed.
"We're fictional to humans as well." Tavi said with a shrug. Suddenly I noticed the sign board being thrown our way. More specifically, at Tavi.
"TAV! Look out!" I yelled as I lunged at her, bringing her to the ground, right beside the sign board. Tavi groaned from under me.
"Tav. Tav are you okay?" She groaned but nodded. Tyler and Fabian was by our side in an instant. Fabian pulled me up as Tyler pulled Tavi up. "Nothing broken?" Fabian asked me. I shook my head. "No. But we need to get out of here. Fast." He nodded and yelled for Serena and Will. I saw the harpy switch its target to Serena. "SERENA! WILL! DUCK DOWN!" I yelled to my sister and her mate. They did exactly that, hence the harpy missed them by an inch.
Then two other creatures joined in. One, I could recogonise. A griffin. But the other, I couldn't. It was similar to the griffin, but different as it had a front half of an eagle and the rear half of a horse. "Hypogriff and griffin." Tavi said from beside me. The two creatures went straight for the harpy's throat. It was a tough fight, but they got hold of the harpy and ripped her apart. Now she lay on the ground in a pool of her own blood.
The griffin and hypogriff descended to the ground and walked into the woods. A minute later, two people came out from behind- a male and a female. Mostly the griffin and the hypogriff.
"Hello. My name is Lucas Cleeton and this is my mate, Xana Azure." The male, Lucas apparently, said. Then the girl, Xana spoke "I assume you are Fabian, Alberta, Tyler, Tavi, Will and Serena?"
We were shocked. Just shocked. Fabian spoke after a moment. "How do you know us?"
"Well that's a long story. We can explain when we reach your pack." Lucas answered.
"No way are you stepping foot into my pack!" Fabian said protectively. I put a hand on top of his shoulder. "Maybe we should listen to them. They saved us afterall."
Fabian pondered over the thought for a while and then said. "Fine. Just tell us a little bit about yourself before you get in to the car."
"Well for starters, you already know our names, so I'm 18 and Xana's 17. We're mates. And we're originally werewolves. Lone wolves, until we found each other." Lucas said.
"Woah, dude, back up. Originally werewolves? What the hell is that supposed to mean? We just saw you fly across the sky. And as far as I know, we don't fly." Will said.
"Luke..Lucas told you that we'll explain once we get to your pack. This actually involves you lot. And all of you play equally important roles in it. It's getting dark now, so we best head back." Xana said.
We all got in and drove back to the pack in silence. Once we were at our home, we all went straight to the kitchen. "Okay, now we're at our pack. Now please tell me what the hell is going on." Fabian said. The next words that left Lucas's mouth were unbelievable.
"The moon goddess wants us to save the world."
