One day, while Renée was wallowing in the depths of sadness, a surprise came knocking at the door.
It was her father.
"Renée, my daughter, look at you, you've grown so much" he said staring at her while his brown eyes, now lined with wrinkles, softened. "Look, can I come in, we need to talk"
Renée was dumbstruck, no words came to her mouth, her mind froze, it was as though her body had forgotten the very sense of functioning.
"Who is it?" Nathan asked as he came towards the door, a brief silence followed before he pushed his father back.
"How dare you come back here? get out of here!" he said as he gripped his collar and threw him to the pavement. Renée snapped into action.
"Nathan! What did you do?" she shrieked and then performed the action she regretted the most.
