lies
maybe you & i
were both meant to lie,
lied to one-another
lied to the world,
In between those lies
we forgot to have a life.
even we smile just to hide.
just so no one could catch us
stuttering in the daylight,
In the beginning we had our fun
when the lies had just begun,
but before we could realize
we got caught up in this labyrinth
of lies . . .
There was no way out we decided,
so, only way we saw was to keep up the act
of lies & never to be caught
after one to many lies
we had nothing to fear
we thought as we could conquer the world
with only just lies in hand.
"we weren't wrong."- that is a lie i just slipped
"but it does no longer matter,"- another lie it is.
as we lie now, six feet underground,
"I can't think of a single truth i ever told," - maybe that's a lie too . . .
but now you will never know.
