*The Next Day*
*Mia's POV*
It's Sunday afternoon and me, Langston, Taliah, Dashawn and Julian are outside coolin'. We've only lived here for 2 days and we got friends already. But tomorrow we both start our first day at our new school. Ughh.
"How is yall school?" I asked everybody.
"Its okay, i'll show you around tomorrow" Dashawn said winking at me.
"Thanks, Dashawn" I said smiling.
"You don't have to call me that. You can just call me DayDay. Thats what everyone does."
"Aha. Okay."
"We should walk somewhere !" Taliah said standing up out of the chair next to Langston &Pulling up her skinnies.
"Like where?" Julian asked.
"Umm i dont know. Did yall forget that this is only like my 3rd day in Cali? Ha."
"Oh yeah. Aha."
We ended up walking to some mall.
*Julain's POV*
We were walking around in the mall talkin' and i bumped into somebody, accidentally knocking all the bags out of their hands.
"My Bad!" I said reaching down to help her pick up her bags.
"It's okay. It my fault. I wasn't looking."
She picked up the rest of the bags &looked up at me and smiled.
"Umm Can i have the rest of my bags back?"
i laughed alittle ad handed them back to her. "Aha, sorry."
She walked away after that. Everybody else was way ahead of me. When i finally caught up with them they were walking to the food court. The entire time we were there, i kept thinking about that girl. She was gorgeous. Well she has to live somewhere around here so hopefully i'll see her again.
*Hours later at Liah &Mia's house*
*DayDay's POV*
"so yall in a music group, that jerks?" Mia asked us.
"Yeah. Yall never heard of us?" Langston said.
"No. Jerkin wasn't too popular in PA."
"Well we gotta take yall to one of shows. We gettin big." I said
"Hm . I see." Mia said smiling.
Her &Taliah's mom walked in and said "I think its time for you guys to leave. Its getting late"
"Alright. We'll see yall tomorrow." i said getting up &giving Mia a hug. "I'll text you"
"Okay."
She walked us to the door then we walked off.
*Liah's POV*
Me &Mia in my room doing our hair.
"I see you Mia, you like DayDay, huhh?" I asked as i straightened my hair with the instyler.
"Yeah. he's really sweet :) what about Langston? You like him?"
"I guess. I gotta get to know him more before i can actually say i Like him."
"Good luck with that" Mia said leaving my room.
I finished my hair then just sat by my window looking at the sky.
"Hey." I quickly turned my head to see Langston at his window too.
I juss smiled and looked back at the sky.
"I really like it here. I don't know if I'm going to like the school."
"Why you say that?" He said leaning against his window.
"Because, I don't wanna deal with being the new kid again. And you remember what happened yesterday with that girl."
"Look, I gotchu. All you gotta do is stick with me. It'll be okay."
I smiled and said "thanks :) You're a good kid."
He just laughed and said thanks back. "Goodnight, Taliah"
"Goodnight." i said as i closed my windows then crawled into bed and went to sleep.
*The Next Day*
I had the weirdest dream. i was walking and I got lost. It seemed like i was walking forever. Everything was grey and bleak. I asked people for help but it was like i was invisible. *sigh* i gotta get outta bed and get ready for school -.-
It took me an hour to get ready even though i wasn't trying to go all out today. I just wanted to get this first day of school over with. When i went downstairs, Langston was sitting on the couch on his phone. Mia, DayDay &Julian already left us.
"You ready?" Langston said
I just sighed and picked up my books. "Yeah."
After that we started walking.
"You remember what i said right?" he asked.
"Yeah. I know."
It only took us 15 minutes to get to the school and by the time we got there, everybody was at their lockers putting up their things.
"I dont have anywhere to put my extra books" I said pushing my hair back from my face.
"Here," he said grabbing for my books. "You can put em in mines until you get your locker."
"Thanks :)"
When he was putting them up a group of boys walked up on us.
"My Nigggaaaa !" ine f them said as they gave Langston a handshake.
"Wassup tho?" another one said.
I butted in and just said "Uhh which way is the bathroom?"
"Oh , it's straight down the hallway." Lang said pointing in the other direction.
"Okayy, i guess i'll see you in class."
"iight"
I walked into the bathroom to see one other girl fixing her make up.
"Do you have a brush?"
i was too bust fixing my hair to realize she was talking to me.
"Helloooo. Do you have a brush?"
"Oh I'm sorry. Yeah, here" i said as i passed her my brush.
She used it quickly then handed it back.
"Thanks. I'm Sierra by the way. Is this your first day here?"
"Hi. I'm Taliah. and yeah."
"Do you have your schedule"
I handed her the schedule they gave me in the main office and she looked at it.
"We have the same classes. C'mon I'll help you find them."
She grabbed my arm and basically ran and pulled me with her . lol
*Langston's POV*
"Yo, who was that?" My homie Freddy said.
"Ya girl?" Kev asked.
"Naw. Not yet anyway. She my new neighbor . she moved here on Friday." i said closin' my locker &walkin wit them to class.
"I see you are late, AGAIN. Take your seats." Ms. Ross said as we walked into the class room.
*sigh* this class need to go by fast.
*Lunchtime*
*Liah's POV*
I was withh Sierra but i was looking for Langston in the lunchroom so we could sit with him. Then i started thinking about that dream i had last night.
"What's wrong?" Sierra said interrupting my thoughts.
"Ohh nothing. i guess i just gazed off there. ha"
4 girls walked over to where we were sitting.
"Heyyyyy !" They all yelled at the same time.
Sierra got up and gave them hugs.
"Taliah, this is Alisa, RaeRae and Joely. Guys, this is Taliah. She's new here."
"Hi !"
I shyly smiled as they all sat down at the table.
"Um excuse me. I'l be right back I said getting up and going into the bathroom."
When i was in there those two girls from the ice cream place were in there. They stared me down, once again. I took care of my business then i quickly left the bathroom.
When i went back to the lunch room, i sat back down with Sierra and everyone else.
Langston and his friends were 2 tables away from us. Lang smiled at me and i smiled back. Sierra turned around quickly to see who i was looking at.
"Who you looking at?"
"Lang." i said blushing a little bit &pushing my hair out of my face.
*Langston's POV*
"Bro, where DayDay &Julian at?" Freddy said.
"They over there." i said pointing to the table DayDay , Julian &Mia was sitting at.
I was eatin' my lunch and talkin' and laughin' with the bros. Then Bri and her crew came into the lunch room wit McDonald's. They just stood in the doorway talking and then Bri pointed to Taliah and Tiara And Candace looked back smiling. They were up to something but i wasnt sure what. Tiara and Candace had McFlurries in their hands and they started walking towards the table Taliah was at Bri &she nodded at them and leaned against the doorway. The next thing i knew, they walked over towards Taliah &"accidentally" tripped and spilled their McFlurries all over Taliah. The lunchroom was dead quiet then everybody started laughing. Taliah ran out of the lunchroom crying. I got up and chased after her and so did the girls she was sitting with. When she ran out the door, Bri was laughing in her face. As i ran out the door behind her, i just shook my head at Bri. She took this jealously thing too far.
"Taliah ! Wait !" I said catching up with her &grabbing her hand and turning her towards me.
"Let go of me !" She snatched her hand away from me then i grabbed her arm.
"Stop, come here."
She looked up at me with tears in her eyes and said: "I thought you said you 'got me'. I thought everything would be 'okay'. If this is your way of being the person that 'got me' , you're doing a fucking horrible job."
She got out of my grip and ran to the bathroom, with those 4 girls right behind her.
