Jungri pov
Those goons just dropped me off in this mansion. I was surprised to see it but hell, the people who seeked for me are chaebol.
They brought me to a room and left me there.
"Welcome back!"
And old man appeared infront of me.
Who was this guy again?
"Who are you?"
"Seems like you've forgotten me already."
"Obviously."
"I'm Kihyun's father, Yoo Sanghoon."
"Aah. But why do you have to keep on bothering me? It was your son's plan to let me run away!"
"What?" He looked surprised.
"Of course you wouldn't know. Please tell your son that he sucks! How can he leave me alone!"
"Wait. So you mean you went back to Thailand because he told you to?"
"Well apparently yes. But I also liked the idea so I agreed. I never wanted to marry him in the first place! I never wanted to live here!"
"That idiot..!"
"Kurae. You're son is an idiot for saving only himself. But I heard he still got married."
"She's your substitute. She has been living as Park Jungri."
"Kurae? He threw me away to marry another woman?"
"He didn't know. We planned everything out. Me and your father."
"So that was why he has forgotten all about me. Because he married another."
"I will return you to your father tomorrow. But for now, stay here and rest."
"NOOO! I don't want to go to him! He's a loser for selling his daughter off! He only needs me for business purposes. He never wanted to have me in the first place!"
"Shut your mouth." He then left the room and slammed the door.
Just how much more will they destroy in my life?
I see.
So he abandoned me because she was there? He don't know how much I suffered because of him. I lived like a criminal in Thailand.
And since I'm here, why don't I give him a taste of his own medicine?
Sohee pov
Last night was so unforgettable.
Kihyun's kiss made me feel needed and loved. Knowing that he is jealous because of me, it made me realize that my existence in his life is important.
It was not JUST a kiss. It was a WONDERFUL kiss.
"Are you awake?" He rolled over towards me and wrapped his arms in my waist. My back was facing him.
He pressed his nose on my neck. It gave me a tingly feeling.
"I am. Aren't you getting up for work?"
"I don't wanna get up. I want to stay in bed with you."
"But you have to work. Don't be such a bad boy. Go on."
"I already am a bad boy." He then bit my ear with his lips.
"Ya.." I turned around and faced him. His arm is still wrapped on my waist.
He then leaned forward and kissed my forehead.
"Go use the bathroom first. I'll drop you off in school."
"No, you go first. I take time in the bathroom."
"Well then.."
He leaned closer.
"Let's take a bath together." He added.
My eyes widened. He is playing with me early in the morning.
"I'll use the bathroom first then." I said as I smiled.
He laughed.
"Arasseo. Go ahead." He said.
He took a bath after me and we both ate breakfast.
"Would you like to visit your mother and brother?" He asked.
"Really?! I can?!"
"Ne. I will bring you to them after school. Is it okay?"
"Of course!" I am so happy!
The more we get closer, the more he becomes nicer. I know this is the real him.
After breakfast, he dropped me off in school before going to work.
"Thank you for the ride." I said as I took the seatbelt off.
"No goodbye kiss?" he pouted his lips.
I giggled.
I then leaned towards him and gave him a peck on his lips.
"Done." I said. I pulled out but he suddenly grabbed my neck and he kissed me passionately. I could not refuse. Instead, I kissed him back.
"That's how you do it." He said.
I just smiled and got out of the car.
When I arrived in the classroom, I couldn't help but keep on smiling. I feel like an idiot, smiling by myself.
"Is she alright?" Honey asked Channy. I could hear them, but I am too happy to talk.
"I think she's going crazy." Channy replied.
"Ya, what are you so happy about? Did you and Kihyun..?" Channy asked.
My eyes suddenly widened. My mini daydream was interrupted by that incomplete, yet meaningful statement.
"..made a baby?!" Honey continued the Channy's statement.
"Ya! Of course not!"
"Finally. Welcome back to the world." Honey said sarcastically.
"What are you so happy about?"
"N-Nothing. Can't I be happy?" I said with a smile.
Our teacher arrived so they didn't have time to bully me further.
After class, Kihyun texted me to go to his office. I already miss him.
I wanted to see him soon.
And finally, I could see my mother and brother again.
It's been so long since I last saw them.
I took the bus and went to his company. Unlike last time, the guards greeted me with respect and the other female employees too.
They bowed their heads the moment I pass by them.
I took the elevator and went to his office. His secretary looked bothered when he saw me.
"J-Jungri-ssi.. I mean, S-Sohee-ssi.."
"Why are you stuttering? Where's Kihyun?"
He could not speak and he just looked down.
This is making me nervous as hell. I walked straight to his office and when I opened the door, I could not believe what I saw.
Kihyun pov
I quickly finished my work for this day and asked Sohee to come to my office.
It's about time I finish everything when she arrives.
As I was seriously working, the door on my office suddenly slammed open and an angry Jungri directly went towards me.
"You moron!" She yelled as she slapped me.
That effin hurts but I have to endure. I admit I failed her. I'll have to accept that slap as a punishment.
I caressed my cheek.
"Oh. You're back." I said.
"Yes, I am. I bet you would like this surprise."
"I don't. And I never will."
"How dare you abandon me and let your father treat me like a criminal! I lived the worst of my life in Thailand. I spent days and weeks hiding and running away from your father's goons whom I thought were the fucking police!"
"Look, I know nothing about what my father is doing. I also did what I have to do for you. I gave you money, ticket for Thailand, not marrying you, isn't that what we agreed on? Anything that happened to you beyond what we agreed on is not my concern."
"Kurae? But you promised to protect me!"
"I never did. You were hallucinating things."
"I don't think so. I suffered things I never imagined I would because of you. I should have just married you."
"Be happy you didn't marry me because I will never love you."
"Is it because of your wife? The fake one? My substitute?"
"Don't you dare touch her."
"And if I do?"
"You will regret that."
"Really? I'll touch you instead then."
She moved closer to me and kissed me on the lips. I pushed her away but she kept on coming back and kissed me again.
Before I could push her again..
"K-Kihyun?"
My eyes widened.
Jungri stopped and wiped her lips as she faced Sohee.
"Hello, Mrs. Fake." She said.
"J-Jungri? You're Jungri?"
"Yes I am, dear. And I'm back to take what's mine." Jungri walked towards Sohee. "Be ready to return what you borrowed." She said to her.
"And Kihyun, get ready to get married again. Bye!" She then left the office.
"S-Sohee.."
I went to her and held her arms but she shoved my hands off.
"I'm going home."
"But we're going to your--"
"I'm going home to them."
"What?"
She then dashed out of the room. I have to run after her.
I never wanted things to end like this.
Sohee can't leave me.
I can't lose her.
