Alex POV
"C'est la fucking vie! Do your job! Gusto mo ba mawala sa Empire?! Damnittt!!! Don't contact me unless you find some information got it?!" I said then slammed the phone on the desk.
I closed my eyes and remembered what her father said to me the day after she went missing. I received blow by blow but I couldn't feel a thing.
"You will find my daughter Alex. Unless you want us to be enemies yet again. She's still from the Jupiter family. Remember that."
It's been 9 days since. I'm so frustrated. Just by thinking if she's okay or not. No leads. We have no idea were Samantha is. Where Charmaine is. Even her family suddenly disappeared. Kahit si John ay nawawala daw. That bastard. I have a feeling he's involved here.
It's past my birthday even. I didn't even celebrated it dahil wala nga si Samantha. I didn't care. Ang gusto ko lang ay makabalik siya sakin. Yun lang yung hiling ko nung araw na yun.
Lagi nalang nakikidnap si Frances. Bakit hindi nalang ako? Damn them. Mas maganda ng ako nalang kesa siya.
Wala din naitulong ang letter ni Charm. Di naman din niya kasi ako sinipot. Para akong tanga maghintay sa ulan nung araw na yun. Isang bulaklak lang ang nandun sa lugar na yun. Na may note. I will never regret making you crazy. For you made me this way. That's why this time, it's your turn.
Pagkabasa na pagkabasa ko nun ay napasigaw nalang ako. I don't know if mapipigilan kong patayin siya pag nakita ko siya.
Nababaliw na ko kakaisip kay Frances. Lalo na ngayong araw. I felt something. Something is not right. It's been clawing me all day. Di ako mapakali.
May biglang tumunog. Phone ko pala. Unknown number calling. Napataas ang kilay ko dun.
"Hello?"
"Is this Alex Benevotta?"
"Yes. Who is this?"

Naningkit ang mata ko sa mga narinig ko and agreed to meet. Pumunta ako sa isang resto kung san nandun ang hinihintay ko.
"Alex, long time no see."
Pero bago pa siya makapagsalita ulet ay na surround na siya ng mga tao ko. He was about to open his mouth pero I put my hand up.
"Save it." I said.
"What is this?!"
"Getting what you deserve?"
"I'm trying to help you."
Pero tumalikod na ko at hinayaan siyang magwala. Not that I'm not trusting him with his words. I just need to make sure. May pagdududa ako kasi close kami at alam kong never pa niyang nilaglag ang kapatid niya. It is necessary kahit na against sa law ang gagawin ko.
Kelangan ko lang naman siyang I torture para malaman kung totoo ang sinasabi niya sakin. Kelangan kong makasigurado dahil kapakanan ni Samantha ang nakasalalay dito.
Frances POV
Pagkagising ko ay nasa isang kama ako. Nagpanic ako at agad agad na napaupo. Thank God too na may suot ako. Pero pagtingin ko sa paligid ay si John lang ang kasama ko.
"Shh it's alright. You're safe now."
"No. It's not."
"Frances."
"Don't."
Now that... that happened to me. Will Alex ever accept me now? I'll never be safe here. I don't even think this will be the last time I'll have to go through this. I have this gut feeling.
"She'll still love you. I still love you despite that. It's not your fault." As if he was reading what I was thinking.
"Is he still here?" I shuddered thinking if he was.
"Unfortunately yes." Kumalabog ang dibdib ko.
"Where?"
"Nandito lang siya sa bahay, the last time I saw him was he went to Charmaine. Di lang kita kayang iwan kaya naman pagtapos ka nilang bihisan ay binantayan na kita."
"How many hours has it--"
"It's been 4 hours since."
I shuddered. Nagbaba ako ng tingin. Naramdaman ko na naiiyak nanaman ako.
"Don't cry."
"I feel so dirty."
"You aren't. I feel so useless here. I'm so sorry Frances. That I couldn't protect you." He said and hug me. I didn't know how many minutes we were in that position. But as I hugged him back. We both cried our hearts out.
Alex POV
Two fucking weeks! Wala parin kami mahanap. I've been going crazy. Lalo na ngayon kinontact ako ni Charmaine.
"Cha."
"Little Bird. Namiss mo ba ko?" Sabi niya pagtanggal ng shades. She stepped inside sa bahay.
"Micah! How about you? Did you miss me?" Si Micah naman lumapit sakanya pero bigla nalang etong nang angil at umalis.
"Let's cut to the chase. What do you want? Where is she?"
"Chill Alex. She's fine... I guess."
Naningkit naman ang mata ko. Something doesn't feel right.
"What did you do?"
"Uh uh! Lay one hand on me and you won't ever see her again. " She said with a smirk.
"Fuck you." I said with so much venom in my voice.
"Gladly." She winked and went to the sofa.
Before long ay pinagusapan na namin ang gusto niyang sabihin. Ayoko man kausapin siya pero it was only the way I can get her back.
Pagkatapos niya magsalita ay binigay niya sakin ang papel kung nasan ang terms niya. Which are pretty ridiculous by the way.
"Now come to these terms and I'll return her back. You know how to contact me. Ciao! Oh and don't follow me. I'll know."
Napasuntok nalang ako sa pader. I clench my fist more tightly. Blood was flowing.
Frances POV
The water was making it go away. The blood was going down the drain. When I was satisfied ay lumabas na ko. I wrapped the towel to my body.
I wasn't crying anymore. Nor was I be able to laugh anymore. I felt nothing. No one was going to save me here. Not even Alex.
"Miss what have you done?!"
"I cleaned myself." I said in a tone that sounded dead.
