Chapter Fifteen
A day later ...
Brooklyn stood outside of Dricks house ringing his doorbell. She was the only one who didn't have a code to get into his house because she wasn't around that much and he didn't trust her all that much .
Drick opened the door for her and let her in . Brooklyn walked into the living room and sat down and he sat next to her and looked at wondered what she wanted . Him and Brooklyn weren't close and she didn't come over to his house to just chill with him so he knew it was something .
" Is anybody else here ? " She asked him .
" Just Khighia why ? " He asked .
" I have to tell you something but please don't yell at me and fuss at me " She said .
" Ok " He said .
" I'm pregnant " She said and he smacked his teeth .
" So what Brooklyn ? You want me to take care of this one too ? " He asked .
" No Kendrick " She said getting an attitude.
" So what is it ? " He asked .
" I don't want to have it ... I came to ask for money for an abortion " She said .
" Ask desmond , the nigga that got you pregnant " He said .
" I can't because he'll want me to have the baby . I don't even want him to know i'm pregnant " She said .
" Why do you want an abortion Brooklyn ? " He asked her .
" I can't do that to Sakani . I know i'm not a good mother I can admit that . But i'm trying to be better and i'm trying to fight my demons so that I can be there for her and the last thing I want to do right now is upset her with me having another baby and her seeing me give this baby everything I never gave her " She stressed . " That and the fact that I don't know if this is Desmond's baby "
" You think it's for Dantè ? " He asked and she looked at him wondering how he knew that . " I keep tabs on you Brooklyn . You think I don't care about you but I do . I love the fuck outta you same as I do Brianna so of course even when I don't see you everyday or every week or every month i'm going to make it my business to find out what's going on with you " He said and she smiled a bit .
" Why don't you treat me like you do Brianna ? You're always yelling at me and you're so hard on me but you always baby her no matter what . It's obvious she's your favorite "
" She is im not going to lie about that but every since we was young Brianna clung to me and wanted to be around me so yes we have a stronger and closer bond . After what her daddy did to you ... I was there for you as much as I could but you started wilding out and when I tried to tell you about it you always went off and didn't want to be told nothing so what was I supposed to do ? I'm hard on you or mean to you whatever you want to call it because you think I want to see you in the situations that you're in ? You think I want you to keep staying with a nigga that beat your ass and cheat on you ? You think I wanna hear about you fucking different niggas ? You think I want to hear Sakani crying because she misses you I don't .. I'm the oldest and I want the best for all of y'all ... I would do anything for yall and the fact that you act like you're so scared to leave Desmond when you know all you have to say is the word and he's in the dirt pisses me off " He said causing Brooklyn to cry .
" You don't understand Drick ... " Brooklyn said .
" I do and that's why I never judged you . You use sex as a way to cope with what happened to you , it's common . You're attached to Desmond because you don't think you can find someone to love you because you were touched . You think you owe him because he had your bad though tough times . None of that is true " Drick said .
Brooklyn remained quiet . " I'll pay for the abortion if you start going back to therapy " he said.
" I have an appointment coming up already " she said.
" talk to me brook ? how you feeling ? " He asked.
" It's just being pregnant right now is giving me flashbacks of when I was pregnant with Sakani and it's a lot . Those were real dark times for me " She admitted.
" I know and i'm here for you " he said as he pulled her into a hug and allowed her to cry to him . " I love you so much cousin and we're going to get through this I promise " he said.
" can I stay here for a couple days ? I don't want to see desmond until after I get the abortion " she said.
" My door is always open to any of yall . If you ever need somewhere to run too my door is always open and i'll never turn you away " he said.
Brooklyns phone started ringing and she ignored Brianna's call . " Why you ignoring her ? " Drick asked .
" I don't want to talk to her like this " She said and Drick sighed .
" Im not saying this cause Bri favorite but you think you helping her by pushing her away not wanting to talk about your feelings with her but you hurting her even more . She feels guilty for the shit that happened to you , she feels guilty that you took it so she didn't have to . She feels guilty that all she did do was lay next to you and cry while what happened to you happened and that shit is eating her up . I think if the both of y'all talked to each other it'll really help . " Drick suggested .
" I can't .. I already feel weak as fuck . All I wanted to do was protect her and Blaire and I couldn't even do that they all fucked uo and that's why i stay away . I see stories of other people who had the same thing that happened to me happened to them and they're fine but not me . I wish i was as strong as them . I feel so weak they I can't be around my daughter without getting flashbacks of being raped . I feel weak that I can't be around my brother for a long period of time without getting flashbacks of watching him get his ass beat for trying to help . " Brooklyn cried .
Drick sighed and tried to find the words to say to make her feel better but it was hard . This was Brooklyn's first time really breaking down and explaining to him exactly what it was she was battling . He pulled her into a hug and she'd a few tears his self .
He hated that she was going through what she was going through . " I'm sorry Brook " He said . " But you're not weak .. it takes a strong ass person to do what you did for Brianna . It takes a strong a person to make a decision to keep a baby of rape . You're trying and you didn't give up and that makes you strong as well . I'm here for you and i'm going to help you get through this " He assured her and she nodded .

Brianna and Jari were sitting outside on her porch enjoying the energy and vitamins they were getting from the sun as they ate popsicles.
Brianna smiled when she saw Corey sitting across the street at his cousins house . She still didn't like how he was a snitch who did whatever Drick said but she felt bad for what happened to him and she would text him from time to time to check on him .
" I'm coming back " She told Jari . She stood up and walked over to him and gave him a hug . " I see you recovering quickly "
" Yeah .. thanks for looking out for me and staying with me until the ambulance came and letting drick know who it was so now that problem is gone " He said .
" No problem " She said . " Why you not at home though ? I think you still need to be inside until you all the way healed ... you just got out the hospital yesterday "
" Moms put me out talking about she don't want me and my foolishness around my siblings so i'm staying here until I can find my own place " He said .
" Damn now you really gonna be snitching " She joked but she was also serious .
" Just don't be sneaky and I won't have to snitch " He said .
" That's ok i'll find a work around " She said . " I'm glad to see you up and moving around though " She said as she gave him a hug and turned to walk away .
" Aye bri " He said causing her to turn and look back at him .
" You looking a lil thick in them biker shorts " He said.
" Forreal ? " She asked getting hyped .
" Dont get too happy I said a lil thick not a lot thick " He said and she smacked her teeth and pointed her middle finger up at him .
" Gotta let me take you on a date first then we gon do that " He said .
" That'll never happen " She said as she sat back on the porch with Jari .
" You might as well talk to Corey . It's not like he ugly ... He cuter than Dmack to me " Jari said .
" It's not about him being cute he a snitch and I can't date no nigga that do whatever Drick says . Drick might tell him break up with me and he'll really do it " She said .
" I don't think so .. talk to him . Unless you trying to cuff Dmack . Got him giving you hickeys and eating you out " Jari said .
" Shutup for I tell Hasaan you fucked Wayne "
" I don't care ... I'm done with him ... This is the fourth the time a bitch done sent me some shit of him . It's not fair that he don't want me to talk to nobody else but he could fuck a bunch of bitches . Not saying i'm about to fuck a bunch of niggas but i'm not doing the double standard " She said .
" And you shouldn't and I know you're not going to stop talking to Wayne but be careful ok ? Older guys think just cause you young and they making you cum and giving you money that they have control over you and that you'll be easy to manipulate " Brianna said . She agreed with Shania and would rather Jari not talk to a twenty five year old man with three kids and two baby mamas one that he lived with but Jari's mind was already made up and she knew she couldn't tell no difference and she didn't want to yell at her be what then she'll be sneaky about it and she's rather Jari tell her what she was doing and who she was doing it rather in case something happened .
" ok " Jari said .
Cobys car pulled up and Jari rushed went inside because she hadn't covered her hickeys on her neck and she didn't want to get in trouble .
Coby got out of his car and Brianna smacked her teeth when she saw he had on Gray Nike shorts . He walked over to the porch and leaned on the stair railings and looked at Brianna up and down .
" Is there a problem Jacoby ? I ain't seen you in two weeks and you don't give me a hug or nothing " Brianna asked with an attitude.
" Why the fuck you outside like this ? " He asked her causing her to smack her teeth . She was wearing a sports bra with the matching biker shorts but of course he had to find something wrong with it .
" That hoe who picture you liked yesterday had the same thing like this on " Brianna said causing him to smack his teeth .
" Why you never called me back last night ? " He questioned changing the subject .
" Where you been the past two weeks ? " Brianna countered back .
" I thought you was sleeping by Niah for the next three days why the fuck you at home ? " He asked .
" You came here to question me ? " She asked .
" Brianna answer my fucking questions " Coby yelled .
" Me , Shania , and Jari got into an argument so we caught a uber here last night in the middle of the night when we got home I went to sleep that's why I ain't call you back .. answer my question " she said.
" I've been busy with work that's all ! I missed you though that's why I came over here . I'm not gonna be busy the next couple of days and I want spend them laid up with you " He said causing her to brush .
" Aww you miss me ? " She teased .
" Want me too show you ? Cause i'll tongue you down in front of everyday since you want play stupid " He said and she laughed .
"Come' on " She said .
Coby walked over to her and was about to really kiss her but she curved him causing him to start tickling her.
Brianna stood up and hugged him . He held her tight for a few seconds missing the feel of her body . " I really missed you " Brianna said .
" I know baby I missed you too " He said.

Brianna was looking around Cobys house trying to see if he had been messing around . She was looking for condoms , eyelashes , strings of hair whatever she could find . Once she didn't find anything she picked his phone up from the bed and typed in his password going through it .
Coby came out the shower and looked at her with his phone in her hand and shook his head . " What you looking for ? " Coby asked her as he got dressed .
" You know " Brianna said .
" Let me see your phone then " He said .
" It's on the sofa " She said knowing he wasn't going to find anything because she blocked Dmack for the time being and had all of their messages hidden in her " calculator " app .
Coby must've did the same thing because Brianna didn't find anything . She walked into the living room with his phone and sat next to him sitting his phone on his lap .
" Since when you get cool with Co ? " He asked talking about Corey .
" We not really cool . I just felt bad for what happened to him and I was just checking in on him " She said and Coby smacked his teeth .
" You know that nigga like you right ? " He asked .
" Yeah and he knows I don't like him like that " She said .
" Alright Brianna ... come give me some love a nigga miss you man . You come here and first thing you do is go searching to see if i'm fucking around " He said .
" Cause you know how you is " She said as she sat on his lap and hugged him . They stayed hugging for about ten minutes not saying anything but their body language said enough.
This was one of the reasons Brianna really loved Coby . They had intimacy in the smallest things like a hug .
" You hungry ? " He asked after a while .
" I'm always hungry ... you taking me on a date ? " She asked .
" Yeah ... where you wanna go and please don't say Big Mommas ? " He said .
" Let's go that place we went to last month that had the good lamb chops "
" Alright ... Go change out these shorts " He said as he smacked her butt .
Brianna went in his room and went to her side of the closet and changed before going back into the living room. He looked at her and smacked his teeth . " Bri I told you change out of shorts you come back with more shorts on and a crop top "
" Jacoby it's hot as hell outside i'm not wearing no jeans or sweatpants ... you already know how I dress why you acting brand new ? " She asked .
" You right ... let's go " He said as he stood up and grabbed his keys and wallet off of the ottoman.
They left out of the house and got into his car . They were halfway to the destination when Brianna spoke up . " You loosing feelings for me ? " She asked causing him to chuckle.
" Bri what the fuck is you talking about ? You know i'm in love with your ass " He said honestly.
" You didn't compliment me at the house when I got dressed like you usually do and you not holding my hand hand while you drive like you usually do ... is it somebody else ? " She asked.
" No baby ... it's not nobody else . I'm sorry to even make you think I was loosing feelings or it was somebody else and i'm sorry I was lacking in complimenting you or showing you affection like I usually do " He sincerely apologized .
" I accept your apology but what made you just not do that today ? " She asked .
" It's nothing deep phat ... I ain't compliment you cause I really ain't feeling the outfit you beautiful as always though and I wasn't holding your hand cause it's cold as fuck yiu can see my hand in my pants that's all though bae "
" Okay " She said .
" I'm serious Brianna but I could be asking you the same shit . You be taking long as fuck to text back now you always got a excuse as to why you can't get on the phone to go to sleep , you use to send me selfies of you all day I don't get that no more ... is you loosing feelings for me ? " He asked .
" No im still in love with you " She said . " I just be out with Jari or Niah so that's why I don't be answering or texting back ... i'll fix it though " She said.
" You still waiting on me ? " He asked her and she nodded . " You still waiting on me ? " She asked him and he nodded .
" I love you " Brianna said smiling at him .
" How much ? " Coby asked looking at her smiling as well .

" I love you too baby ... with everything in me " He said. " Let's go get matching tattoos after we leave the restaurant? "
" Okay " Brianna said as she went on pinterest to look at matching tattoos ideas .

" Phat that shit do not hurt that bad " Coby told Brianna as she squeezed his hand with all her might as she was getting her tattoo. After going out to eat they went to the tattoo shop to get matching tattoos like Coby suggested .
" Yes it do " Brianna said .
" You're almost done " The tattoo artist told her and she sighed or relief .
" You the one picked this detailed ass tattoo " Coby said . " You still trying to get your belly pierced ? " He asked .
" Yes ... It's gonna look soo cute with my crop tops " She said and Coby smacked his teeth .
When her tattoo was finished the took a picture of both of theirs side by side and then Brianna went to get her belly piercing .
" You like it ? " She asked coby smiling after the lady finished her piercing .
" Yeah baby I love it " Coby said happy that she was happy .
" Y'all are so cute " The lady who did Brianna's piercing said .
" Thank you " They both said .
Coby paid for the tattoos and piercing and held Brianna's hand as they left out of the shop . As he was walking out Shanti was walking in .
She knew her role and she knew they weren't officially and Coby made it clear that they would never been so she made eye contact for one second and continued walking but her sister was feeling some type of way that Coby didn't even acknowledge her .
" Hey coby ...you left your chain at the house " she said to be petty .
Brianna immediately let his hand go and stormed off to the car . " Really Gia ? " He asked.
" That's just your best friend anyways right ? " Gia questioned.
" Gia that was petty " Shanti said trying to stay on Cobys good side .
" What's petty is this nigga walking pass you in public like he don't know you and you carrying his seed inside of you " Gia admitted causing Shanti to palm her face .
Coby heart stopped for a second at the bomb that Gia just dropped on him . " Ashanti " He said looking at her. .
" She's telling the truth " Shanti said .
" But is it mine ? " Coby asked .
" It's yours " Shanti said .
Coby sighed and turned to walk away . " You're just going to walk away ? " Shanti asked him .
" I'll come swing by the crib " He said as he got into the car with Brianna .
" Take me home " She mumbled .
" Bri - " He started to say but she cut him off .
" I heard everything so please take me home and i'm really done with you . I wish I never got this stupid tattoo with you just now " She cried .
" Bri .. I haven't talked to her yet. Maybe she don't even want to keep it " Coby said .
" It doesn't matter Jacoby . You lied to me . I have good memory that's the girl from a year ago you swore you wasn't talking to anymore .. the same girl who picture you was liking on instagram I know you feel soemthing for her because you lied to me about her and you been fucking her for over a year unprotected at that " Brianna cried harder .
" Baby ... I don't . I only feel something for you I love you " He said .
" Please take me home or I will get out this car and walk there " She said .
Coby sighed and started the car driving into the direction of her house . He tried to grab her hand but she was scooted as far away from him as possible . His felt bad hearing her cry the entire car ride to her house .
" I love you Brianna " He said as he turned on her street .
" You might as well be a family with her because there'll never be an us after this " She said as she got out of the car and rent inside without looking back .
She went into her room and dived on her bed crying her eyes out into her pillow . She couldn't believe that Coby was about to have a baby with somebody else. She always thought they would be starting a family together .
