"What's up?" Simon asked at lunch time when we went to the bathroom, I can't believe how easy everything is for him.
"Nothing."
"Your a shit lier Josh so tell me what's up." Simon sat on the sink next to mine as I scrubbed my hands.
"I'm just terrified." I shrug, it's not a lie, it's a half truth.
"No shit we've been thrown into a completely new place where everything's different your gonna be terrified." Simon seemed so care free, I don't get how he's just able to fit into whatever situation he's thrown into.
How does he do it. It's rare I've seen his nerves shattered yet it seems that I'm close to breaking all the time.
"I know but you fit so well. You do everywhere." I continue scrubbing my hands even though their clean, "I always thought a normal life would be easy but I was wrong."
"I'm not too sure your wrong, I guess it would be easy if you grew up with it." Simon sat and thought for a second, "We was thrown into this having grown up getting whatever we wanted so that's what we're used to. It's adapting isn't it. It's easy for them to adapt to our life but we can't the other way round."
"I used to imagine what all this would be like." I admit, "It wasn't like this."
"We've only been here half a day. We don't even know that many people, honestly you should join in this while friend making part. It's so hard how do you get people to like you without bragging because we're poor now?"
"Throw a party?" I suggest, that's what we usually do, we should throw the best fucking party their sorry asses will ever go to.
"We're poor." Simon laughed, "You hate party's anyway."
"Yeah well it's a way to get people talking and then everyone would wanna be our mate because of our killer party." I keep forgetting we have no money and prison cell for a home, "Let's get ourselves invited to a party then."
"Who's?" Simon asked, while he's been socialising I've been listening in, "You know that small kid who asked us who we were earlier, well apparently he's meant to be throwing a killer party next week. We just need to get ourselves invited."
"Guess it's time to become Vikk's new best friends."
