The two then reappeared where the rest of the team was at, Jackson looked a little drained.
“You alright Jackson? You don't look super great.” Lloyd asked
“I'll be fine, my powers can grow a bit tiring at times.” Jackson replied with a grin
“His smoke is able to be use a bit as a quick means of transportation. It grows tiring depending upon the distance which is cover.” Zane explained
“Gotcha.” Cress said with a nod
“Let's get moving again then.” Cole said
The team then went on walking. Another half hour later, they then found it.
“Guys! It's the temple!” Jay said eagerly
There, several feet away, was a midnight blue temple, made out of different layers. The lowest layer stone was covered in midnight blue earth. The layer above it, had dark blue flames licking the chunks of stone. The layer above that one, was made of pure, midnight blue ice blocks. The second layer to the top was cackling with blue lightning. The final layer at the top was pulsing with midnight blue energy.
“Let's get the stone then.” Kai said
The team then headed into the temple, preparing themselves for the traps that soon awaited them.

All of them walked through the twists and turns over the different paths that were within the temple.
They then walked into a large cavern. The wall then shut suddenly behind them.
“What the!?” Kai exclaimed as they were then trapped in the cavern, having the lit lanterns as their current source of lit.
“How do we get out?” Lloyd asked as he looked around the room, trying to find a different route.
“May this is one of the temples traps?” Loriah suggested as she walked around.
She then came across writing carved into the wall. With there not being enough light, she lit up one of her hands with fire.
“Guys, check this out.”
There was a riddle carved into the wall.
Fusion is about the unity of the main elements.
Similar to that of a family.

“What the heck does that mean?” Cole asked a loud, after reading it
“I have no idea.” Loriah mumbled, trying to solve it
“Well, we would rescue them of course.” Kai answered
A large spike then appeared out of the ground.
“I don't think that's the answer.” Jay said with a gulp as the spike was mere inches away from him
“Well then how do we answer it?” Cress asked confused
“Well if you wouldn't rescue them, would you warn them?” Kai then asked, causing another spike to appear, this time right in between Lloyd and Loriah
“I don't think that's it either.” Lloyd said hastily
“Hmmm if it were to be that, there would still need to be the two…” Jackson mumbled to himself
The team kept on trying to solve the riddle
“Hey guys, check this out.” Nya called for an opposite side
“Is it an exit?” Jay asked
“No, it looks like two... Instruments?” Nya said confused
The rest then went over by her to see what she was talking about.
Sure enough, there was an acoustic guitar and a trumpet leaning up against the wall.
“What are we supposed to do? Toy around with them?” Kai asked, causing another spike to appear
“Kai...For the sake of our life's….shut up..” Cole said as he pulled his hood off the spike, gaining a glare from the red ninja
“I have an idea of what it might be.” Jackson then spoke up
“Oh really? Going to throw a wrench at the wall?” Kai said with a scoff
“Keep going and you'll find yourself with it at your head along with a black eye.” Jackson growled
“Noted..” Kai said with a gulp
“As I was saying,I might know the answer to the riddle.” Jackson stated
“What's the answer?” Lloyd asked
“Well it's not like a simple answer. I think the answer is a song that Zane and I know quite well.” Jackson replied
“What's the name of the song?” Loriah asked
“It's called 'Hey Brother’.” Zane answered
“Wait, hold up. You two can sing?” Jay asked with raised eyebrows
“Yes, quite well actually.” Jackson said as he folded his arms
Kai rolled his eyes
“Yeah right. I doubt it.” He stated
“Is that a challenge?” Zane asked with a grin
“Seems to be so.” Jackson replied as he went over to the the two instruments.
He tossed the guitar to Zane, who caught it perfectly, and he picked up the trumpet.
“Ready?” Jackson questioned as the others watched
“Of course.” Zane replied as he pulled out a pick and started playing
The two then sang in perfect unison.

The second they said the last word, Jackson started to rhythmically play the trumpet as Zane clapped his hands in rhythm. Keeping to the beat, the in incorporated tapping his foot.
A moment later, Jackson ended and Zane started back up on the guitar once more.

The two then repeated what they did prior to the second verse, going on a bit longer than before. Jackson stopped, at the same time as Zane, ending the routine.
Both boys were breathless. The rest of the team looked at the in shock and amazement just as a wall slid open.
“That was amazing.” Loriah said first
“Glad you thought so.” Jackson replied with a grin
They all then saw a wall retract into place, making a doorway. The team then when through it.
“Got any thing else to say wise guy?” Jackson said with a smirk at Kai before he followed behind the others.
Kai sighed heavily before following them rest of the team

Another several minutes later, they arrived within another part of the temple.
“Now where are we?” Lloyd asked as he looked around
“Look! There's the stone!” Cole said as he pointed upwards.
They all looked at where Cole was pointing at and saw a midnight blue and silver swirled stone, sitting on top of a tall grey column.
“Now the question is, how do I get it?” Loriah said as they walked towards it
“I might have an answer to that for you.” Zane said with a playful grin
He then walked ahead of the others before making a ramp out of ice.
“Don't worry. Seeing as you can control ice as well as I, it won't be slick.” Zane said, answering Loriah's concerned look.
The ground then shook slightly.
“Go, quick, grab it before the dragon fully emerges.” Zane said as he looked around
Loriah nodded before she made her way up the ramp. She made it to the top and reached out towards the stone.
Suddenly, before she grabbed it, there was the sound of energy being charged while forming.
“Lloyd...What are you doing?” Jay asked with a nervous chuckle
“That's not me.” Lloyd said as he raised his hands, showing he wasn't the maker of it
There was then the flash of light, like a small explosion of energy, and a dragon then appeared.
It was midnight blue, with multiple markings on it. Red flame marks on one back leg, cyan ice markings on the other back leg, brown earth markings on one of the front legs, and yellow lightning markings on the other front leg. There were silver swirls on it's wings and silver streaks on its head and neck.
“Shoot!” Loriah yelped, she then grabbed the stone and slid down the ice ramp as the dragon roared in anger.
The dragon then roared again before it started firing several lightning bolts.
The ninja managed to duck and Dodge then, minus Jay, who got hit by one. Luckily, since he was the Master of Lightning, it didn't affect him much.
“We need to get out of here!” Nya called out
“Cress, freeze it in place!” Jackson yelled
“I've never used my powers on something so big!” Cress snapped back
“There's a first time for everything!”
Cress shot him a look before she stood her ground and faced the dragon. She raised her hands and concentrated hard.
The dragon then froze in place, unable to move.
“We need to go, I'm not sure for how much long I can hold it for!” Cress called as she steadily walked backwards, keeping the dragon frozen.
They all managed the make their way back to the corridor that Jackson and Zane had unlock. Cress then released the dragon, and they all heard it roar.
“That was a lot.” Cress said as she stumbled forward and Jackson caught her
“Yes, but you did it.” Cole said with a slight grin
The dragon then gave another roar, that sounded closer this time.
“Judging by the echo of the roar, we have about nine and a half minutes before it catches up to us.” Jackson calculated
“Well which way do we head out?” Kai asked as he looked around the room
“I know the route to get us out of here.” Zane offered
“Lead the way Zane.” Lloyd said with a grin

Within a few minutes, Zane had them all out of the temple, leaving behind the angry dragon.
“How come you couldn't do that when we went into the temple?” Jay asked annoyed
“Because I didn't know our way around. Going out, I knew which turns to take.” Zane replied
“Well we have the fusion stone now, so we can head back.” Cress said, just as she finished recovering and managed to support herself.
“Let's head home then.” Nya said
All of them then agreed to just form their dragons and fly back. Jackson rode with Loriah for the ride back.
They all then took flight.
it was smooth sailing until it then happened
Kai’s dragon got hit first in the wing, having it give off a loud, painful roar.
“Ow! Shoot!” Kai groaned a he did his best to keep his dragon materialized and in the air while holding his arm, which was the same as the wing that was shot
All of them looked around for what had made the shot.
“Cmon! Don't these guys ever give us a break!?” Jay cried out as then a couple dozen of shadows appeared, using a winged machine to stay in the area.
“Avoid getting hit!” Cole called out as he and his dragon did a barrel roll to avoid two shots.
“Oh really!? You don’t say!” Kai shouted in anger.
His dragon then blew a breath of fire, making two shadows crashes
“We can’t let them get the stone!” Nya called as she fended off three shadows of her own
Loriah’s dragon then swerved suddenly, avoiding another shot from a shadow.
“Nice.” Jackson complemented her from behind with a grin
Loriah chuckled in response as she avoided fire again, this time however she didn’t get as lucky.
A shadow appeared from behind, without a winged-machine. It realized it’s mistake and grabbed at the thing nearest to it, which was Jackson.
Jackson yelped as he was then pulled off Loriah’s dragon.
“Jackson!!” Loriah screamed as he fell
Hearing her yell, Zane whipped around with his dragon
“Jack!” Zane yelled, seeing his best friend fall.
Serval shadows then jumped in front of him, preventing him from going to the rescue.
There was another shout, before a new dragon’s roar was heard.
Zane shot a final blast of ice at his surrounding enemies,and looked around hopefully for Jack. There was no sign of him, except for some rustling within the trees.
Suddenly, a dragon appeared out of the jungle.
“Yee-Haw!!” Jackson laughed as he rose up, doing a roll to avoid a blast
The team cheered happily, knowing their teammate and friend was safe.
Loriah studied Jackson’s dragon for a moment.
It was rather…….peculiar
Its body and head was literally split between two colors. The left side was light grey, and the right was dark grey. The light grey part had yellow smoke markings, while the darker grey part had bright red smoke markings. The dragon also had two tails, each matching one part of the
the body.
In Loriah's opinion, it had looked like two separate dragons combined into one.
Before she could ponder any further, a shadow shot at her dragon's leg. The dragon roared in distress, shooting a lightning bolt at the attacker, before it vanished.
Loriah screamed in surprise as she then fell.
She fell for a few seconds before she was caught by another dragon.
“Falling for me now, are we?” Jackson questioned playfully as he caught her
Loriah sat up breathlessly in Jackson’s lap.
“Not a word.” She replied, having a faint smile, before she rubbed her lower leg which was where her dragon had been shot at.
“Still have that stone?” Jackson asked then as he flew past another shadow that was about to attack Lloyd. He then skillfully threw a dagger, Loriah had no idea where he got it from, at the attacker's machine. It landed within it and the shadow fell down into the jungle.
“Yeah, it was close though.” Loriah said, still having the stone clutched tightly in her other hand
“Let’s drop it off then, shall we?” Jackson said as he gripped the reins
“What do you-” Loriah started but never finished
Jackson’s dragon had vanished, with the two on it. It felt like traveling through a portal or vortex. A few seconds later, they reappeared hovering over the bounty.
Loriah held the side of her head, dizzily.
“Sorry.” Jackson said as they then lowered slightly
“Echo!” he then called
Within a minute, Echo and his new cub friend came running out onto the deck, by then Loriah felt less dizzy.
“What’s the matter?” Echo asked as he looked up at them
“We’ll explain later buddy, but we need ya to put this with the others.” Jackson quickly said, as Loriah tossed the stone
Echo held his hands out to catch it, but he never could.
Halfway to him, a shadow appeared.
“Gotcha!” It cackled as it caught the stone
“No!” all three shouted
Thinking fast, Jackson shoved the reins into Loriah’s hands.
“Jackson, what are you-” Loriah started in surprise, but she never finished.
Jackson disappeared, leaving Loriah on his dragon. Loriah was shocked to see that his dragon was still fully materialized.
She frantically looked around for him.
Jackson then reappeared, mid air, holding onto the arm of the shadow.
“Let go you pest!” the shadow roared as he stayed in the air unsteadily
“You want me to let go?” Jackson mused with a flash in his eyes
He then reached behind the shadow and grabbed a handful of wires.
“Let’s go then.” Jackson said as he then ripped the wires out
The machine then broke down
“JACK!” both Echo and Loriah yelled
The shadow and Jackson fought midair, both free falling towards the jungle.
Growing closer to the trees, Jackson ripped the stone out of the shadows hand.
“Have a nice flight!”Jackson said with a salute before he vanished, reappearing onto the deck of the bounty
He was greeted by Echo hugging him tightly around the waist, and his cub friend brushing up against his leg.
“You did it!” Echo said with a grin as he let go
“‘course I did bud. Now quickly, take this and stick it with the others.” jackson ushered
“You got it!” Echo said as he took the stone and ran off
Jackson chuckled as he then once again disappeared and reappeared, this time on his dragon.
Loriah grabbed him and held him in a tight hug.
Jackson grinned in surprise.
She let him go, and then lightly smacked the top of his head.
“Don’t you ever do that again mister. You scared me half to death!” Loriah gently scolded
“Trust me….I give no guarantees.” Jackson replied lightly
“Let’s get back to the rest of the team.” Loriah said with a smirk and an eye roll
A few seconds later, they were back with the others.
Only they all weren’t there anymore.
The shadows were gone, but Zane, Cress, Jay, and Kai were no longer in the air.
“Where are the other four?” Jackson called, looking around.
“They fell, we couldn’t get them.” Lloyd called back miserably
“Did you guys still have the stone?” Nya asked
“Yeah, we just sent it back to the bounty.” Loriah replied
“We better go find the others. Night time is coming soon.” Cole said looking at the sky, as it turned late afternoon
Sighing, all of them glided down for a landing, before heading to find the rest of their teammates.
