Trevor had no idea he was going to die that night. He had gotten plastered and drove out to the campgrounds where his brother and friends were hanging out.

They were telling ghost stories, and so to lighten the mood, he chucked the glass bottle at a tree. It shattered into a thousand pieces. The girls screamed.

He laughed, leaning against the truck drunkenly. “You should have seen your faces.”

“What the hell, Trevor that’s not funny man.” Chris looked at him annoyed,

“To you.” Trevor cackled.

“Yo—did you drive out here man?”  His brother, Ray, asked

Drunken Trevor stared at his brother, “Aah please,” He whined annoyed, “Look why don’t you take my phone—take my phone okay? Call dad—and bust me…why dontcha—”

“No, I’m just saying…your wasted.”

“Blah bla bla…I heard ya…what was that?” He looked around  in the woods. Only crickets were heard in the night. Chris and his friends looked around wearily.

“Why don’t you sit down—”

“Ssh! Don’t you hear that?” Trevor looked around.

“There’s nothing there, now let’s just sit down and  we’ll all just—“

Trevor’s eyes widened in fear at what he saw, “What the --you gotta run—you gotta!” He turned and began to run, weaving drunkenly around in the forest.

There was a scream…and by the time his brother got to him, he was dead., his insides and the fluff of his orange vest spilling out into the ground.

**

Can’t get it out of my head…

                   Miss, her Kiss her,

Wrong move your dead,

             That girl is poison…..

Poison….

Poison by Bell Biv Devoe played throughout the older antique vehicle. The car door was flung open, then white retro sneakers got out of the vehicle, then a scrawny boy with aviator glasses stepped out of the car.

There were a couple of women talking out on the deck when he stepped up there, his shoes creaking softly against the floor.

“Ladies.”

The darker skin girl from the campground looked at him and giggled at his appearance, “What do you want top gun?”

He took out his wallet, “For starters, I’d like a little respect.”

The blonde girls eyes widened, “Oh…sorry officer, we didn’t realize.”

“Alls forgiven, take a seat.”  Garth said, taking off his sunglasses, “Tell me about Trevor McAnn, other than he died at Widows Peak.”

“Okay, alright.” The one said and then they both began babbling at the same time.

All he caught was them saying something about someone being drunk.

"Whoa,” He said and they were both silenced. “You go,” He pointed at the dark skinned woman

“It was Jenny Greentree.” She declared.

“Shut up,” The blonde declared,  “She’s just a legend.”

“Whoa, hold up who?”

“Jenny Greentree. My dad said she really died in the woods, and she’s buried in the town cemetery.”

Garth nodded and put on his sunglasses, turning and he walked away.

***

Later that night, Garth threw the shovel aside, as it clinked to the ground.

He took out the salt, and began to sprinkle it over her bones. “Okay Jenny G., You’re ganking days are over.”

Then as he threw the match down he geekily added, “You’ve been Garthed.” The flames blossomed in the night, and Garth threw his jacket over his shoulder, and walked smoothly away.

***

That night Ray, Trevor’s brother, drank and walked out to Willows Peak, Gun in hand. He crept along through the woods and he heard something. He whirled and even though the trees and bushes were a blur, he saw one thing very clear, a woman with long black hair in a haunting white nightgown. He ran to follow her and stopped, searching for her. There was no sign. Suddenly he was yanked up into the trees, screaming in agony as she bled him out.

***

“yeah I clocked it out, put it to bed, problem solved, “Garth replied cockily. “And I’m headed your way…so fire up that hot tub.” He replied with a grin to his cell phone, getting into his car.

The girl on the other end of the line spoke. Garth chuckled at her reply.

“No, I heart you more.” He chirped and hung up.

The police scanner in his passenger seat beeped.   “Abandoned Vehicle out by Widows Peak…uh, we got another body up here, torn to shreds.”

The woman had killed again, “What!?” Garth replied in disdain, “No way, how is that possible! I Garthed her!”

***

The barlight flickered around us as I told Breanna my plan. She grinned evilly as she agreed. We needed the extra cash anyways.

It was midnight and the only reason we stopped by was because Dean was tired of driving while we tried to look for a hotel, therefore we stopped to ask the local townspeople. Unfortunately the majority of townspeople are usually asleep by midnight.

He sat up by the bar and chatted up the bartender as we watched some loser play darts. He kept missing the bulls eye and it would land in the outer ring.

Our goal was to rob him blind…legally. Granted, the time I’ve spent with Dean I’m sure I’d have quite the criminal record, if we ever got caught that is.

“The key isn’t to aim for the bulls eye, aim above it” I replied and the guy looked at me in annoyance, he was probably plastered so it was a miracle he could even hit the target.

He looked at me rudely, “And what would a pretty little thing like you know about darts?” He said as I walked up to him, removing the dart from his callused hand.

“I know how to hit the target,” I replied cockily, “Ten bucks says I can hit the bullseye.” The guy snorted, he didn’t know me, why would he even make such a deal?

Breanna cried out, “Wait Hope, you don’t even know how to play darts!

“Fifty!” The guy grinned and shook my hand.

I took the dart in my left hand and he watched me curiously.

“You’re left handed,” The guy observed.

“Yep,” I was left handed when it came to shooting, hunting, but not when it came to writing and drawing. I was right handed for that. I aimed, flinging the dart. It landed dead center. The guy glared at me as he took out his wallet, handing me the waded up bills.

“Thanks,” I replied and walked away to Breanna, discreetly giving her cut.

“You’re a pretty good actor you know,” I grinned, “I almost believed I didn’t know how to play darts.”

***

I met Isis out in the car, where she lovingly snuggled up at my side in the backseat. I scratched her ear while listening to the conversation Dean was having on the phone…with Meg.

That girl truly repulsed me. At first I thought maybe it was just me, but Breanna shared the same hatred towards her. Well, it was good to know my reaction was normal for a change. Dean and Sam seemed to have a tolerance for demons, which I found irritating since they seemed pro-kill-everything-else…well, kill everything but Interlopers and their pet husky mutt.

Dean wanted to know if Castiel had woken up, part of me really wanted to listen in to hear what Meg was saying, but I was so disgusted by Meg’s voice I hung up the idea. Besides, Dean would tell everyone. “All right, well call us if he wakes up…or you know anything. Fine thanks for your help Meg.” He said and flipped his phone shut. Sam had decided it was his turn to drive while Dean had to put up with Meg.

“What a bitch,” Dean said once he was off the phone.

“So, is Cas the same?” Breanna asked in the back seat.

“Yeah, down to the drool.” Dean says quietly, and then looked to Sam, “How’s your custard?”

“It’s alright,” Sam answered, “It’s getting better. Just wish it wasn’t like the damn tape from the ring. Man, I feel like I’m okay because I passed on the crazy”

“No you didn’t, you heard what Cas said,” Dean answered.

Sam shook his head, he didn’t want to argue, “No, lets not—”

To me and Breanna’s relief, the phone rang.

Dean answered it and to my dismay, it was a man’s voice, this time I listened, “Hey Dean, its Garth.”

“Wait—who’s this?” Dean asked.

The voice answered, “We worked together on that demon thing? You owe me one.”

“Oh yeah,” Dean remembered, to be honest I didn’t. Who was this guy?

“How are you doing?”

“I’m ready to cash in that chip, bra?”  I raised my eyebrows, bra? What is wrong with this guy? Is he really a hunter?

“There’s something brewing in Junction City Kansas,”

I looked at Breanna, who knew I had been listening in, “well, looks like we just found our next case.”

***

Sam and Dean walked in in the morgue wearing their tuxedos, led by a Doctor.

“Gentleman…this is corporal Brown.”

The scrawny guy turned in his army uniform, it was Garth.

“Corporal James Brown,” Garth lied convincingly. I’m shipping off to the A.F. maῆana.” He replied casually. “I’m here to pay my respects to my cousin because I will not be able to attend the funeral.”

The doctor replied, “That must be terrible for your family, loosing two relatives so fast.”

“Yeah, my aunt…she’s real broken up about it.”

Sam tried to speed this up, “Hey doc, can we see both files of those victims.” The doctor nodded and  handed him the papers as his phone went off. He walked into another room.

“You didn’t say they were brothers!” Sam said quickly to Garth.

“Dude—I just found out about the other corpse.” Garth replied, “And started moving quick, I’m just sucking up info as I go.”

Dean mocked Garth’s outfit, “What are you allergic to a suit?”

“No,” Garth replied, straightening his jacket out, “I just look good in a uniform.”

***

We had the passenger car door open, as Breanna laid sprawled out in the seat in boredom. Isis ran around outside, taking her time smelling each individual tree and branch.

“I can’t believe they made us wait out in the car!” Breanna cried, sitting up, grabbing a can of pop and cracking it open.

I shrugged while I leaned against the side of the car heavily, “Eh, you’re not missing much, mostly just a lab, and a broken body.” I replied.

“Then why are we here?” She harrumphed.

“Just in case there is some weird way the monster kills them, or carves a symbol into them or something.”

“Well,” She laughed, “At least you got to see Dean in his suit, other than his birthday suit.”

“Yeah,” I laughed in reason, “You know Sam isn’t that bad either, you should give him a chance.”

She laughed even harder, “Why, so he can  hug me with his side burns? Uh-huh!” She stated. I grinned.

“You know, that haircut of his kinda grows on you.” I smiled, “I really can’t imagine him without it.”

***

Garth told Sam and Dean all he knew of the case.

"The ghost of Jenny…whatever.”

“Yea that’s just it.” Garth stated, “I torched her bones.”

Sam scrolled through the doctors computer, “Yeah well maybe she’s still got something laying around.”

“Doubtful,” Garth replied, “The chick was homeless. Plus is it just me or is this less evil spirit and more monster chow?”

Dean nodded in reason, most evil spirits didn’t tear apart their victims. “Werewolf maybe?” He hoped not, Hope had just gotten patched up by Castiel before he traded places with Sam. The last thing Hope needed was to tango with another wolf, even though werewolf were just vicious humans with claws and fangs. They were pretty bad ass. But not as bad ass as Hope.

“The witness said that whatever was chasing victim numero uno was invisible,”

Dean chuckled nervously, “So uh, invisible ghost werewolf?”

Garth shrugged, “Why do you think I called in for backup?”

Sam replied, “Hey, did either of you hear of Thighslapper Ale?”

Garth turned, “Is that a stripper or a beverage?”

“Uh, number one Microbrew in the Northwest,” Sam answered uncertainly as he read the computer screen.

Garth looked at him in confusion, “But we’re in Kansas.”

Dean rolled his eyes, Kansas was part of the northwest. If Garth did not even know that it was a good thing they were there. He looked at Sam, what did beer have to do with this case?  “What’s your point?”

“The owner is the dad to the two dead brothers.”

“Right,” Garth says walking out. “I’ll can the uniform, go federal. See you at the brewery in 40.”

Sam shook his head, looking at Dean in annoyance. It was Dean’s fault they had to work this case with some annoying scrawny guy.

Dean chuckled looking at the swinging door. “He grows on you.” He stated.
