Chapter One Hundred & Fifty

Stefan Salvatore had come to New Orleans, and Klaus was not happy about it. Mostly because Stefan had thought it was a good idea to come to Klaus' beloved city when he had Rayna Cruz's mark on his chest. While we wanted to deal with Aya and Marcel, who had stolen Jackson's heart, we also had the issue of Rayna in the back of our minds. Now, Aya had the opportunity to sever the sire link. Of course, we were all wary of the fact that Stefan Salvatore had brought Rayna to town, but we also needed to deal with Aya.

"Stefan Salvatore is not the problem," Klaus stated as myself, him, and Elijah walked down the stairs and towards the exit of the compound. "But if you are so determined to find foe amongst friends, then look no further than Marcel. After all, did he not steal Jackson's heart and deliver it to the very people bent on harming us?"

"Marcel is the least of our problems." I was rather impatient with him. "He is the reason why Hayley is alive. Not only did he save her once, but twice. He saved her from Aya at the church and he saved her by bringing Jackson's heart to Aya. Though I wish that there was another way, it was the only way."

Elijah nodded. "Indeed. The Strix would still be clamouring over Hayley's heart if it weren't for Marcel."

I could practically see Klaus' eye twitch, even from my spot standing behind him. "And now Aya and her mob are free to break the sireline. You know, we've had many glorious enemies over the years, but if they sever their link to us, then they will all come for our heads!"

"Not without the white oak," Elijah added.

"Which Aurora has," I continued.

Elijah looked over at me with a sinister smirk. "Then she dies first."

"Elijah, you once told me that you wanted to use her head as a footstool. Why wait?" Klaus asked, the same smirk mirroring on his own face.

My phone suddenly rang, and I answered it after seeing the contact. "Ah, Hayley. What is it?"

The two brothers looked at me expectantly while Hayley relayed her message to me.

"Thank you, Hayley. We'll be there in a little while," I told her, then hung up and grinned at them both. "The Crescent wolves. They've found Aurora."

With that, we headed to the bayou, directly to an abandoned train car. The sign on it suggested that it used to be a post office car. Strange place for Aurora to be plotting, but at the same time, a smart one. We probably wouldn't have thought she would even set foot in any abandoned place. She liked extravagance.

We came across an SUV, where Aurora's unconscious body was being put inside by two Strix members. Aya came around the car, and did not seem at all surprised to see the three of us.

"Hello, gentleman! And lady, of course," Aya said in a sing-song voice.

Klaus smirked as we came to a stop in front of the vehicle. "I had planned on taking a different head tonight, but yours will do just fine."

He moved forwards, only to freeze when Aya raised Aurora's gun at him. We could only assume that it had the bullet in it. Aya would have been an idiot to come without it.

Klaus was glaring at her angrily, while Elijah and I looked at each warily.

"I am getting so tired of having that vile weapon pointed at me!" he shouted.

Aya was amused, and shrugged her shoulders before pointing it at Elijah instead. If I had a heart, it would have stopped out of fear in that moment. Elijah was, of course, angry, but covered it with a fake smile and an amused demeanour equal to Aya's.

"Creator destroyed by his own creation," Elijah hummed. "I suppose there's a certain poetry to that, wouldn't you say, Niklaus?"

Aya was still aiming the gun at Elijah, but by this point, he was actually getting annoyed.

"Shoot me, and you die," he reminded her in an irritated tone.

"True," Aya shrugged. "For now."

One of Aya's witches suddenly came out from behind the SUV, and her ands were raised. She thrusted her ands forward as she chanted, and all three of us were taken by her spell.

I tried to fight it, but she had gotten to us too quickly. It was too difficult to do now.

Our muscles seized up, and we collapsed as we all began to moan and groan in pain. The pain was everywhere in my body, and I could only assume that it was the same for them. The wind howled around us, whipping at my hair and at your clothes. Finally, we all collapsed to the ground, and I saw the brothers both fall unconscious before I did the exact same.

I opened my eyes again, startled, and took a great intake of air. The two Mikaelson brothers did the same, and the our eyes all darted around to see that we were in a rather large room. One that I had never seen before. However, it only took me a mere moment to realize that this was a chambre de chasse. That was the only way that I could possibly be seeing Aurora and Tristan right now.

Aurora was giggling. "Oh, Nik! The funny faces you make when someone surprises you."

By then, we all were on our feet, and Tristan was looking at me with an amused and somewhat relieved expression.

"So good to see you all again, especially today."

Aurora cooed, sounding like a child before she linked her arm in Tristan's.

"How the hell are we here?" Klaus growled.

"Ooooh! I know the answer to that one! It's-"

"Don't embarrass yourself," I growled, cutting her off while she sent me a death glare. I ignored her and looked to Elijah and Klaus. "It's a chambre de chasse. We're in a hunt room. An object here represents us. We need to find it."

"Such a smart woman, you are," Tristan grinned. "Apparently, it's what allowed Aya's witches to drag you here to this chambre de chasse that they created for me."

"Perfect," Klaus said, his lips tugging into a smile. "We find what represents us, we break free."

Tristan chuckled. "You can certainly try, but until then, my Strix are preparing a spell that is like no other in history. We are going to sever the link which binds your lives to ours."

"Are we, now?" Elijah asked.

Aurora was smug, and nodded.

"Our second-rate Napoleon, desperately trying to leave his mark on the world with those filthy little claws," Elijah scoffed.

I looked to him with a grin. "I wonder if he realizes that, in the end, he will be left with nothing but the scars of his failures. Oh, and also," I turned to Tristan. "The thousands of gallons of water that he will breathe in and die from every day for the rest of eternity."

Tristan's smirk faded, but he was determined. "Oh, my darling Roseia. It will work. Soon, our fates will no longer be tied to the family that you appear to love for no particular reason."

Aurora's grin widened. "And, once that's done, as your bodies remain helpless, and your minds remain here, Aya will use my white oak to fulfill the prophecy."

Tristan dared Klaus to hurt him, walking so close to him that they were nearly touching.

"So you see..." he hummed, smiling. "Today, you die. And, with your sidelines torn from you, you die alone." He turned back to Aurora. "Until then, how shall we pass the time?"
