The bells chimed a second time as I stood outside of the classroom door. An unmistakable frown wafted over my facial features as persons flooded the corridors in pairs and groups chatting away loudly. Hailey was one of them. I had forgotten we shared this class and I rolled my eyes and grimaced in annoyance at sharing another class with her. She had an I-dare-you-to-not-stare-at-me sort of air about her. The false grin she wore and the way she was batting her long eyelashes as if she was on a catwalk with a thousand cameras on her, made her seem hugely egotistical, like Blade. I wasn't buying her supposedly friendly act. Hailey was nothing short of conceited and her horrible pretences otherwise were dead giveaways. Her seven cronies had joined her and she tossed her hair to the side and flung her head back in laughter, at something someone said. The other girls mimicked similar actions. Hailey spotted me standing by the door and waved. I looked away and entered the classroom scoffing. The blonde guy Ross, that had sat next to me the class before said hello awkwardly.

"Hey," I utter flatly.

A minute later Hailey came modeling into the classroom with her pack behind her. They sat in their usual seats, with Blade's throne in the middle. Persons started filing in after that. Ossey was among the last set to arrive before the history teacher. Oswald fell into his seat with a sigh and glanced over at me. I pretended not to notice.

"I see, you're upset with me," He says with creases on his forehead.

I didn't reply and he sighed again loudly and mumbled something incoherent before sinking back into the seat.

"You know Cece, I think you suffer from multiple personality disorder," He adds turning to me.

"Thats a nice way of calling me a brat," I note and he frowned.

"Atleast it's better than being the asshole who doesn't reply to his friend's texts."

"I was busy," he replies modestly after clearing his throat quietly.

"You don't get to be busy."

"You know you're a terrible friend Cece, not really but you sort of are."

"Just as you are," I point out again suppressing a snicker, "guess we're a match made in heaven."

I stared at him searchingly and he looked uncomfortable but my stare was relentless and Ossey grimaced then spoke.

"The girl from the party, Amethyst, I was with her."

I rolled my eyes. I should have expected that.

"Don't sit there silently judging me," Ossey says with a scowl.

"I am judging you," I respond with a snicker.

"Right, like you don't have a thing for that neighbour of yours," He argues, "What's his name?... Emmett?"

Blade appeared at the door at the exact moment and his eyes flickered to Ossey and I. He smirked and I knew he must have heard Emmett's name but how much did he hear? Ossey was about to speak again and I cut him off and hissed quietly.

"Point made."

Oswald furrowed his eyebrows and my eyes followed Blade as he walked to his throne. He wasn't wearing the bandage from last night but I couldn't see his hand that was hidden by his jacket sleeve. Blade sat and the girls broke out in a whisper around him. His backpack made a clunk when he set it down and I snorted with quiet laughter. The moron hadn't even taken a seconds notice to the change in weight apparently.

Ossey sunk back into his seat without another word after seeing me watching Blade. The history teacher cleared his throat once more and greeted the class heartily and they murmered a collective incoherent reply.

"Glad to see you're all energized and excited to be back," he quips, "now if you don't mind, books outs."

Dozens of bags were noisily being unzipped. I got out the history book from my satchel, and dropped it on the desk, flipping it open to a random page. Blade remained seated and he was the only one who hadn't moved to get his books out.

"Mr. Collins books out," Mr. Dean orders.

Everyone turned and stared at Blade the attention loving asshole. With every eye on him he slowly unzipped his backpack and a heavy silence hung in the air. Apencil slipped to the floor with a clunk causing some persons to jump then snicker.

Blade ripped open the bag angrily almost ripping it apart in two and the class went silent again.

"Who did this?!" Blade demands in a surly huff.

People were craning to see what had happened and I sat back enjoying his angery outburst. Bricks were packed into his bag in place of his books thanks to me. I managed to maintain a straight face but I'd soon rather be smirking. From the look Mr. Dean's face he too was trying really hard to hold back the laughter. A few persons snickered covertly and Blade looked ready to do the next guy in that so much as moved a muscle. The tension was high and Mr. Dean feigned a cough and cleared his throat before addressing Blade.

"Ah, that's quite a reputation you're trying to build for yourself Mr. Collins," he jests.

Chuckles rang out and died almost instantly. Blade turned in his seat frigidly and stared right at me. His green eyes bore into mine and I stared back at him with the corners of my lips quirked up mockingly.

"So you think this is funny?" He questions trying to get the anger out of his voice but it was too late.

I shrugged then have a brusque response, "and what if I do?"

Blade glared at me for a moment before responding coldly.

"Better watch your back Tink," he warns.

He turns his back and I scoffed and sank back into the seat showing little concern. My back doesn't need watching only his does.

Mr. Dean commenced his lesson on a high note, while a pissed off Blade sat not very far from me. Every few seconds I caught the history teacher's eyes flickering to Blade and less than a minute later Blade got up and left the class to go and get rid of the bricks, and retrieve his books. By the end of the lesson Blade still had not returned and Mr. Dean taking no notice, issued reading assignments.

"Meet you at class," I mutter to Ossey out in the hallway.

Oswald nodded and I turned in the opposite direction. The restroom walls and floor was covered in pink and white tiles, and was partially empty except for a few girls when I walked in. On the wall was a giant mirror and I stared at my reflection. My hair was coming loose from the hair tie and I frowned. The ombre tresses fell around my shoulders after I removed the hair tie. I looked a lot like a regular girl. That was why I had a preference for buns, that and the fact that it was simpler than coming up with new ways to style my hair.

A girl came sauntering into the restroom and I recognized her immediately. She was one of Hailey's cronies but onlike Hailey she didn't have the whole fake nice girl look locked. She just looked bitchy no matter how many layers of makeup she was wearing. She sauntered over to the sink swinging her hips in her skinny jeans and crop top and turned the faucet on letting it run while she applied pink gloss to her lips. Once she had finished the tube on her lips she puckered them at the mirror and blew herself a kiss before turning the faucet off and leaving.

I didn't realize I wasn't alone, until a tanned girl materialized out of one of the stalls. She sauntered over to the sink and washed her hands while staring at her own reflection in the mirror. I watched her from the side of my eye as I pulled my hair into another bun. A couple seconds afterwards the tanned girl shouldered her bag and left. I washed my hands, then dried them on my jeans. Of course they were out of paper towels, how could they not be?

I retrieved my satchel and walked towards the door and seized the handle. It opened a centimeter before it was snatched from my grasp and slammed shut locking me in on the inside.

"What the hell?"

I gripped the handle and pulled until the satchel slipped from my shoulder and I fall to the floor. The door wouldn't budge even as I was pulling with all my strength.

"Who's out there?!" I demand hotly.

My fists hammered down on the door loudly and I called again at the top of my voice to deaf ears. The door threatened to break under my fists as I pounded it. Angered I drove my foot into the door and for a split second my eyes caught sight of a shadow moving down by the bottom.

"Answer me dammit! I know you're out there and you better have a damn good reason for me not to bury you when I get out."

For a second no answer came and I thought whoever it was had left until I heard them respond.

"Big threats from a tiny person Tink," the mellow voice calls mockingly.

I should have known. My jaw clenched and I hissed quietly to myself trying to play it cool.

"Should I take it that you're no longer mad?" I ask out of curiosity.

"You know I can never stay mad at you sweetling," Blade replies, "where's the fun in that?"

My lip twitched and I could almost see his mocking grin through the door that separated us.

"Open the door Blade," I order cooly.

"You really don't think it'd be that easy sweetling," he says with a chuckle.

My jaw clenched and I drove my foot into the door violently almost smashing my toes and he responded with another chuckle.

"You better open this door before you make me angry Blade."

"I like you when you're angry," he teases.

"You honestly don't want that," I scoff, "or maybe you just haven't seen me angry enough."

Blade chuckled softly.

"You know what your problem is Tink, you're all bark and no bite."

"Then open the door and you'll see how hard I bite," I snap.

Blade chuckles, "sorry Tink, but I'd be giving you what you want. This is my play I'll let you out only when I'm ready."

I ushered a string of profanities at him and gave the door one more kick but the asshole only chuckled again.

"Don't worry, I won't keep you long,  Emmett might miss his little princess."

I was about to drive my shoes into the door again but stopped myself.

"Are you jealous Blade?"

"Maybe," he responds nonchalantly.

My lip twitched.

"Jealousy looks good on you Blade," I mock.

"You know what'd look better?"

"What?"

"You."

The muscles in my jaw tightened as my cheeks grew warm. I couldn't think up any witty retorts or sarcastic comeback to shoot at him. Does he really think his stupid lines can get me falling head over heels like all his other stupid brainless girls? There was nothing in this world that could make me stop hating Blade Collins.

"While you're in there," Blade says breaking the silence, "don't die of boredom sweetling."

There was no need to waste time trying to pry open the door. I looked around the restroom but there were no windows. Blade was standing guard on the outside and I sauntered over to the sink and hopped up onto it. I sat with my back against the mirror and pulled my knees up to my chest with the bitter taste of defeat in my mouth. My cellphone was in the pocket of my bag and I removed it and tucked the ear buds into my ear.

Music played and I grimaced and looked up at the ceilings attempting to drive Blade's voice from my mind. I scowled at the song playing and I pulled the ear buds out. My thumb clicked the first app I saw and in that instant an idea found it's way to the front of my mind. I searched Blade's name and my eyes hurried over the screen as I scrolled and grimaced.

A picture slipped pass and I caught the slightest glimpse of hope and I shuffled to find it again. It reappeared and I stared at it. Of course it was that egotistical son of a bitch, who else would take a photo shirtless sitting on a mustang. I bit my lip until the taste of metal was in my mouth. The last thing I wanted was to befriend that retard but I had no other option and the sick sweetness he had spoken with wouldn't escape my mind. I punched away at the keyboard and closed my eyes and hit the send button.

-Let me out you ass.

No response came in. Pissed off my fingers slid across the keyboard again and I hit send.

-You piece of egotistical, self-centered dimwit open the door.

I knew he read it. I could hear him chuckling outside the door. The phone screen almost cracked from my tight grip and my jaw clenched. A reply came in not long afterwards and I held the cellphone up to my face.

-Ask nicely.

An angry hiss escaped my lips and I punched away at the keyboard once more.

-**** off.

-Then no.

Blade wasn't going go let me out no matter what I said, so arguing was pointless. After what felt like several hours I looked down at the cellphone and only thirty minutes had passed. The only thing I could think of to occupy my time was to devise multiple plans on how I was going to get back at him. Fifty odd minutes had passed and I let my eyes close, trying really hard not to go hammering on the door again. Footsteps echoed outside for the first time and my eyes opened. My stare was fixated on the door and a few seconds passed before I quietly I hopped down and walked to the door. Slowly I turned the knob and the door slid open, cautiously I peered out to make sure it wasn't a trap. Blade was gone. The hallway was empty. I frowned and opened the door widely and walked out looking in all directions for him. So the asshole had left it seemed. Jaws clenched, I marched down the corridor with only one thought in mind, Blade Collins and what I was going to do to him. Without paying attention to where I was going I walked headlong into someone.

"Watch where you're going," I hiss without bothering to look at the person.

"Excuse me young lady," he responds in an authoritative tone.

I stopped fussing over Blade and glanced at him.

"I said watch-" my voice trailed off mid sentence as I was seeing the person in front of me for the first time.

"Who are you?" The voice came stumbling out before I could stop myself.

He looked at me crossly with eyes the colour of charcoal.

"I would like to think you recognize the head of the school when you see him," he responds firmly and my eyebrow furrowed.

"The head of who?"

He pointed a long index finger down the hall and my eyes followed it to a set of doors down at the end. He didn't look the way I pictured him, honestly.

"Now if you don't mind," he orders, "this way to my office."

I scowled and spat under my breath and he stared down at me like a hawk and I was left no choice but to do as he ordered.
