Raven's POV
I wake up at 1am walk downstairs holding my phone in my black silk shorts and black silk cami top. I go to the kitchen set my phone on the counter grab a cup and apple juice. I make me a cup someone walks in I hover my hand over the knife in case then the lights turn on it's Cole. I sigh he raises a brow as I move my hand away from the knife. I sip my apple juice and phone sitting down on the floor. I hear paws hitting the floor it's probably his English bulldog. My dumb self forgot to tell you about him.
" Pudge!" I coo
He comes walking around he spotting me and getting excited running over to me. He flops in my lap and I rub his belly. Cole peeks over the counter.
"What on earth are you doing?" he asked I look up at him with my big eyes
"I'm playing with Pudge." I said he sighs shaking his head
"Too damn cute for her own good" he mumbled
"I can hear you." I said standing up holding Pudge who's actually really heavy
He raises a brow at me as I walk to the living room plop on the couch with Pudge. I play with him Cole gets something from the kitchen and shuts off the lights. He sits beside me Pudge looks at him pushes his head against my chest while staring at Cole as he reaches for me. Pudge growls at him.
"You know you have to share her right?" Cole asked
Pudge snorts Cole picks him up puts him on the floor and lays on top of me kissing me all over my face I giggle
"S-s-s-stop that tickles!" I giggle he continues to do it I scrunch my nose
"Cole stop it that tickles." I said laughing he stops and looks at me he kisses my nose I scrunch it childishly. He laughs he helps me up I pick up Pudge
"Come on babe let's go to bed." Cole said I waddle up the stairs
"You're sleeping in my room." he said
I nod ok and go to his room get on the bed with Pudge and cover up. Cole walks in closing the door he crawls in the bed and cuddles into my side. I play with his hair till I hear his soft snores he hasn't slept in a while I just stay up because I know I can't go to sleep. I check the time 1:30am. I turn on the tv and watch The Simpsons I start doing some digging you'll find out what for. . .eventually.
*8 hours later*
I actually ended up falling alseep I just woke up 30 minutes ago and I feel fully rested. You're not really supposed to go back to sleep, but if you do only for 25 minutes because if you sleep longer you'll wake up and still be tired. I feel good anyway I go to get up, but I can't I look down and see Cole. I stop moving and his eyes slowly open I stare at him with wide eyes as he looks up at me.
" You want up?" he asked in his morning voice
I nod he let's me up I get up and go to my room shower and wax. I get out putting dark greyish black underwear and no bra. I change (outfit above) going downstairs and they all look at me.
" What?" I ask
"Nothing."Cole said I nod and sit of a stool on my phone the door bell rings I look at them they don't move
"Go get the door please Raven. Okay how nice of you to actually ask." I mumble to myself getting off the stool
I hear them laugh I roll my eyes and open the door I see a woman with dark hair.
"Um is Cole here?" she asked
"Who's asking?" I ask
"His ex Crystal." she said I notice the car seat in her hand
"Come in." I said
"I'm assuming you know where the kitchen is." I said she nods and goes to the kitchen I follow her I lock eyes with the baby and the facial features look like Cole
"Here." she said handing Cole the car seat
I look at Cole with big eyes and try not to laugh. He turns the car seat to him he looks at her with a scowl. I can already tell he's going to be a dick about it.
"So are you going to explain why you didn't tell me sooner." he growled I roll my eyes
"Okay enough of mister big and bad. It takes two to tango and it takes two to create one. Can't get mad simply because she didn't tell you." I said
"Yes I can." he said
"Have you met you something goes wrong or interferes. You turn into a asshole. I'm sure while she was pregnant you had some crap going on and she didn't want the stress." I sassed he opens his mouth
"Not a word this is your child. Stop focusing on the fact she didn't tell you plus what you do isn't actually something a child should be around." I said he closes his mouth
"So what made you decide to tell him?" I ask her
" I don't want him and he doesn't have a name either. He's 3 months old." she said simply
"Okay so that means now you can leave and not come back ever again." I said harshly she leaves I take the baby out the car seat Cole looks at me dumbfounded
"So now you need to step up on your daddy role. Eventually you're gonna hear him ask where his momma is and you're gonna have to tell him." I said
"What the hell do I know about being a fucking dad." he said
"Well first you all are going to have to bring the cussing to a minimum. Second you need to baby proof. He's also gonna need a crib and changing table in your room until he's out of the waking up in the middle of the night stage. Lastly you need clothes, food, bottles,diapers,bubs, puke towels, formula,baby wipes,baby powder,baby lotion,baby shampoo, baby body wash, baby oil, and utensils specifically for him to use until he's able to use silverware. You still gotta name him and make sure you are prepared for when he starts teething." I said he stares at me blankly
"All that for one kid?" he asked I look at him
"He's not just a kid. He's your kid and he's a baby be happy he could be stuck in an orphanage and never know who either of you are or worse." I said
"Stop guilt tripping me." he mumble
" I'm not it's the truth" I said
"Okay fine let's go get all this bullshit." he grumbled
"You need to name him." I said he looks at me
"You do it." he said
"Fine his name is Jasper Oliver King." I said I put him in the carseat and head out to the SUV I put him in I run back in
"Are you just gonna stand there let's go!" I said
"Okay, okay we're coming." Cole said
"That's what I thought." I mumble
I get in the SUV passenger seat I make sure to put a little air on him cole gets in and the others take two vans he looks at me I don't look at him we head to the closest crib store we get out and I take Jasper out his seat and carry him we walk-in and I see the perfect one already
"It's that one right there." I said
"How did you? what in the?" he stammered
"It'll fit in with your room and it's the perfect for him because he doesn't have to go far to get his diaper changed." I said
"Fine okay we need a changing table for the living room. So we'll get another changing table like it." he said he makes a call really quick
"I have mom and dad baby proofing." he said
"Okay, thank you." I said he hums
"Okay so now a baby store which lucky for you is next door." I said
We go buy the crib and the changing tables Drake, Ty, and Axel take it to the van. Jason and Nick each grab a buggy. I start grabbing things I have a mental list in my head filling both buggies the lady easily scans everything because the way I have it sorted. She puts it in cute bags we leave and head back to the house. I mean I did good got everything that was absolutely needed. Jason and Drake put the crib and upstairs changing table together. Ty puts together the changing table down here together Axel and Nick put everything where it needs to go. I sit on the floor playing with Jasper.
" Peekaboo!" I said uncovering my face he giggles and does baby talk and falls back giggling holding his feet I laugh and start tickling his feet
"Who looks just like their daddy? You do!" I coo he yawns
"Is his crib ready?" I ask
"Yea." Jason said I sit him in his crib I tear up
"Sleep little you'll never end up like my Lucas." I said he falls asleep I close the door go downstairs. I see Lucas scared as they tossed him in and I fix myself.
"What's wrong?" they asked
"Nothing I'm fine." I said smiling
It took years of investigate and I found out my parents were behind the killing of my baby that I had when I was 16. I found out while Cole was asleep I did my research and everything lead back to them. They got me kidnapped while I was 8 1/2 months by some other gang I called them myself and they said they have proof and they sent it to me. Jasper looks like Lucas in the eyes crystal blue /green eyes and they took him away.
I gave birth on concrete and they made me watch and listen as they poured gasoline and set my poor babyboy on fire. As if he did something to them. He was a baby who's father wanted nothing to do with him and his momma wanted everything to do with him.
I wanted him to have a better life and they took it away from him, took my son away from me Cole looks at me with narrowed eyes. And yes I know I said Ricky took my virginity, but that was so traumatic for a while I acted like it never even happened. I never told a soul about what happened to me. Then Ricky did what he did it was like he did take my virginity. After what happened Lucas and I. I had stayed away from men then Ricky somehow manipulated me into thinking different.
" Somethings wrong. . . very wrong." he said
"They took him from me they took my son." I whisper
"WHAT!" he exclaimed
"Shh. . ." I said they look at me
"6 years ago I was pregnant with a baby boy who had eyes just like Jasper. For 6 years I've been trying to figure out who was cruel enough to get me kidnapped ,induce his birth with beatings ,and get him burned alive right in front of me. Making me watch and listen to his cries. His dad didn't want anything to do with him, but I wanted everything to do with that little boy. I had almost lost him during birth, but I didn't he made it healthy and alive. That's when it all started they even put cuts on his little body for when they were pouring gasoline on him. They set him on fire and the fucked up part is while you were asleep I found out it was my parents. They were behind all of it he would've been 6 today and the only thing I have is the ultrasound photos of when I was 7 1/2 months. They even sent me a recording of his heartbeat I've kept it all put up and hidden. That's why you don't know they erased everything that had to do with Lucas except for what I kept hidden." I explain crying which turned to sobbing thank you waterproof makeup
"Why didn't you say something sooner?" Cole asked
"I needed proof and I got it everything leads back to them." I said as I wipe tears
My makeup is smudging waterproof tear proof either way it's a life saver.
" It's haunting to know today is his birthday and today is the day he was murdered. He never did anything he didn't deserve any of it. He was so sweet and innocent. . ." I mumble
I remember holding his scorched body to mine and just telling him to wake up. Just wake up and in my mind I knew he was dead, but in my heart I wanted to believe he was alive. That dark room still haunts me I went to college because I wanted my son to have a mom who was successful and loving. Who always wanted the best for him and gave him the best. Always know that if no one else had his back I did. Cole pulls me to his lap, but I feel so angry right now. My sadness is replaced with anger.
"Me and Drake will watch Jasper." Jason said I get up Cole gets in the car we go to my hell I walk in
"YOU BASTARDS!" i yell they jump I see the gang that helped. I grab a knife throwing it hitting my mom so called mother in the shoulder she gasps.
"You fucking bastards took my son from me!" I growl
"No.. no- we didn't." she stammered I look at the other Mobster Greyson Knight who is the 2nd most feared in the world
"Did they or did they not pay you to kidnap me, induce my sons birth, and kill him in front of me?"" I growl him and his goons look at me and simply nod I grab them both
"You're going to experience EVERY FUCKING THING I was put through." I growl
I cut them everywhere I pour alcohol and gasoline. I make my mother watch in a chair and I hope she feels everything I've felt.
"You feel that feeling in your chest that aching? That need to just grab him tell him everything's okay you're both going to live?" I whisper in her ear she sobs
"That helpless feeling not being able to do a damn thing as he cries out in pain." I said I grab a lighter flick it open causing the flame to start
"Keep your eyes open!" I growl
"No! No please stop don't-"
I cut her off by throwing the lighter on him he screams and screams. The flames travel up his body I watch and feel more anger.
" You see that. . . now imagine him being your grandson. So helpless , so little, and so innocent and pure.-" I whisper I make her watch just like I did
"-and the only difference is your next." I growl I stabbing her in the stomach
" I'm honestly no better than you two, but what can I say I learned from the best. I promise I'll do way better to my future kids than you ever did with your kids." I said twisting the knife
She screamed as I pour gasoline and alcohol on her. She screams in pain and it's like music. I set a match on fire and put in her lap.
" I'll see you in hell. . ." I whisper
I go upstairs to my room pry up the floor and take out the box. I pour gas on my bed, the floor ,and make it last the whole upstairs. I get more gas do the same to the bottom floor I trail it outside.
"Get your asses out unless you want to get a little taste of what hell is going to feel like." I hiss
They get out as I get a match lighting it throwing it on the trail. I watch as it spreads and the fire grows and grows and grows. I just get in the car and sit down.
Cole's POV
"That woman right there is as strong as all get out. Literally and even I would hate to face her wrath."Greyson said we look at her
"Yea she's strong alright." I said we watch as she look at the ultrasound photos she smiles
"She's at peace and that's what matters most." I said
"Here." Greyson said
"What's this?" I ask looking at the folder
"They paid us to keep Lucas's documents away for 6 years. They thought she would forget and I want to give her something apart of her son. I mean it has everything from maternity photos to his birth certificate we made." he said
"Okay I'll give it to her." I said we go our separate
"Greyson." i said he turns
"You ever mess with what's mine again I will end you." I growl he nods
I notice she fell asleep holding the photos of her ultrasound. I take us home and put her in one of my shirts and let her sleep. It's been a long day and my baby has been through a lot.
