With Natalie and Leaf not competing in the grand festival, Serena goes out alone with just one friend. Unfortunately, Serena doesn't make it to the finals and does not become top coordinator. Her friend does and becomes Kantos first top coordinator. Serena comes 4th in the festival but makes everyone in Pallet town happy. She was close to becoming top coordinator.
