Mikasa woke up with red circles around her eyes.
Yes, she has been crying last night ever since her first breakup with Jean. And this is very rare to see, seeing Mikasa cry...
(well except on that episode in aot)
Eren noticed her crying but decided to leave her be. Even though he really wanted to comfort her.
Mikasa sat up and sighed heavily. She got out of bed and rubbed her eyes as she walked down the hall. Once she was by Eren's room, she decided to check on him. Mikasa opened the door and saw Eren on the floor.
She chuckled and quietly picked him up and placed him on his bed and pulled the covers on him. Mikasa looked at Eren and smiled. "Don't go falling off the bed..." She said still smiling as she left the room.
Eren opened one eye and looked around. When he noticed she was gone, he wrapped himself and said, "Mikasa..."
He stood up and opened the door and walked down the stairs. He saw Mikasa eating bread and sitting down on a chair. "Mikasa?" Mikasa looked up. "Oh, morning Eren." She greeted a bit hoarsely.
"Are you okay?" Eren asked.
Mikasa placed on her smile and replied, "I'm fine. But i'm just gonna stay home for today. I don't feel like coming to school..." Eren nodded.
"Should I stay home too?" He asked.
Mikasa shook her head.
"No, you have to go to school. I'll be fine alone." She replied.
Eren thought for a moment.
"No, i'm staying home. I just want to make sure you're okay." He said. Mikasa stood up. "Eren, you have to-"
"Please Mikasa! You have been protecting me for years...now it's my turn to do the same thing to you." Eren begged. Mikasa stared at Eren, she saw care in his eyes. Mikasa sighed.
"Okay then.."
Mikasa handed him bread.
Eren took the offer and sat down in front of her, his cheeks started to heat up. There was a moment of silence between the two until Eren spoke, "I um, heard you cry last night..."
"You did?" Mikasa asked.
Eren nodded in response. "I'm sorry if I bothered you. This was my first love in life and now he's gone..." Mikasa sighed. Eren shook his head. "No, I completely understand you. I hate Jean but I supported you two all the way. But dating for a few days? I think Jean isn't the one for you.." He said.
"Then who is?"
Eren stared at her.
'This could be the chance to confess my love for her...' He thought as he opened his mouth.
"I-I..."
His heart started pounding rapidly.
He can't.
He can't confess yet.
"I...don't know. But I know you will meet the person you will truly love one day."
"One day.." Mikasa repeated.
"One day.." Eren whispered to himself. "What'd you say?" Mika asked. "Oh, nothing. Are you feeling better now?" Eren asked. "Just a bit." Mikasa replied.
Eren nodded.
"You know...how about we hangout?" He asked. "Huh?"
"Hangout. Like, you and me together hanging out. Would that make you forget Jean?" Eren asked. Mikasa thought about it for a second.
"I guess so. Let's get dressed though."
"Agreed."

"What do you wanna do?" Eren asked.
Mikasa shrugged. "I don't know.....how about we go to the park?" She asked. "Good idea. Parks are always fun." Eren replied. The two walked out and walked towards the park. "What do you like about the park?" Eren asked.
"I like the swings. They go so fast that I can feel the fresh wind blow in my face." Mikasa replied as she sighed dreamingly. "What about you?" She asked. "Me? I like the swings too. They go so high that I feel like i'm flying." They both chuckled.
Once they arrived Eren and Mikasa walked to the swings and sat on them. The park was empty, like, EMPTY.
They started swinging and began to start a conversation.
"The park is really empty huh?" Eren said as Mikasa nodded. "It really is. But we have it to ourselves." She replied as she smiled facing towards Eren. Eren noticed and blushed and smiled back.
"Yeah.."
Mikasa started to swing higher and higher until she started to laugh.
Eren widened his eyes.
'She's laughing...' He thought.
'Her smile...' Eren thought. He started to swing higher as well and laughed filled with joy.
Mikasa noticed and saw Eren's smile and heard his laugh.
'He's laughing...' She thought.
'He's smiling too...'
BA-DUMP
Mikasa widened her eyes.
Her heart just pounded. They both swung higher and laughed with joy.
After they swung they decided to take a break and sit on a bench. "That was so much fun! I never had this much fun before..." Mikasa told. "Same here. Wanna view the lake?" Eren asked. "Sure."
They both walked to the lake.
Once they did, they kneeled down and saw turtles and gooses and ducks there. "So beautiful.." Mikasa said.
"Yeah.." Eren replied as he looked at Mikasa.
BA-DUMP BA-DUMP!
Mikasa's heart pounded again, but twice. "Hey, look!" Eren pointed to an old lady selling bread. He grabbed Mikasa's hand which made her blush as they both stood up and ran to the old lady.
Once they did, Eren asked, "Hey, can I have two breads?"
"Do you have anything for me?" The old lady asked. Eren gave her a bottle of milk which was in his bag he brought (wow why didn't I mention that earlier '-') and the lady gladly accepted it.
Eren handed Mikasa the bread as he smiled. "Here."
Mikasa looked at him and blushed again as she took it.
'What am I feeling..?' Mikasa thought. They both ate on the bench peacefully.
"So, are you over Jean now?"
"Yes, I am. Eren, I cannot thank you enough but thank you so much..you're the best friend I ever had." Mikasa replied as she hugged him and Eren blushed.

Mikasa pulled away showing a smile on her face.
"Let's get home." Eren nodded in response as they both stood up and started heading home.

Once they arrived, Mikasa told, "I'll be in my bedroom for minute."
Eren nodded.
Mikasa walked up the stairs towards her bedroom as Eren sat down rethinking of what happend in the park.
'She hugged me....'
Mikasa sat on her bed rethinking of what happend in the park and touched her heart.
"Why does my heart beat so fast when i'm around Eren..? My heart only beats fast when..." She widened her eyes immediately.
".....when I fall in love."
