Takeshi shakes his head with a small grin.
He is sitting on his desk,
I'm on the windowsill.
"She's the one who approached me," I say.
Her slim fingers,
tapping at my shoulder,
her smirk,
How does a loser like you know Takeshi?
I chuckle. Everything is so different now.
"What's so funny?" He asks.
"She still likes you. You know that right?"
Takeshi's grin fades slowly.
"I wanted to talk to you about that."

Takeshi exhales, shaking his head.
The late afternoon breeze
messes with our hair.
"I can't be with her."
His words ring throughout the empty classroom.
"Why?" I realize my voice has an edge to it.
"I..." He grimaces. "I hurt her more than anyone."

"She'll tell you if she trusts you."
He stands, to leave.
Suddenly, I feel anger pounding in my head.
"You're scum, you know that Takeshi?
I did it because I was lonely.

What about you?
Do you get seriously off from playing with all those girls?
I know you were hurt by someone you cared for.
But that doesn't mean you can..."
I trail off.
I don't feel anything anymore,
like flat soda.

He turns his back to me and waves.
