Authors note: I'm thinking about putting contests and gym battles in the same chapter but I need to know if you guys would like that.
"And the winner of Cerulean city's Pokemon contest with a resounding battle is...."
Ash was smiling. He was waiting for the official announcement.
3 hours earlier......
"Hurry up guys!!" Serena shouted at Ash and Brock.
"We're coming! I know your excited but your running a lot faster then before!!" Ash shouts backs
"Stop being a baby!"
"Just wait up!"
"But I want to win my first ribbon!"
"Ok sure go ahead! We'll be cheering you on!"
"Guys wait up!" Misty shouts from behind.
"So there's the gym leader!!" Ash yells at her.
"W-whaaaat?! I don't know what your talking about!"
"Mhm! Explain that to your sisters!"
Her face goes from smiling to frowning.
"And there's the proof. You'll be explaining this to me on the route to Vermillion city!!"
The group of three including a slightly angry Ash go and find a seat in the building.
"Mom. I'm nervous again!"
"Don't worry Serena! I know you'll do great!"
"Thanks mom!"
"I'll be rooting for you honey! Bye!"
"Bye mom!"
The screen turns black. She hasn't seen Leaf yet.
She finishes getting ready. For this she's using Eevee then Absol.
"Alright guys! I'm ready to go! What about you guys?"
"Eepaa!"
"Ab! Absol!"
"Alright guys we're next!"
"Serena Yvonne please make your way to the stage!"
"Ok! Absol and Eevee return!"
She returns the two excited Pokemon and runs off towards the stage.
Before she gets there she runs into Leaf.
"L-Leaf? Your late!"
"And? Have fun Serena!"
"I will Leaf!"
"Now please welcome the runner up from the Pewter Contest! Serena Yvonne!"
Ash and his friends started cheering. Ash was the loudest.
"Eevee! It's your time to shine!" She throws Eevee's Pokeball and stars appeared with the Eevee.
"Eevee use swift!"
Eevee jumps around doing its dance shooting stars in groups into the air creating a massive star above it.
Serena holds her arms down low.
"Eevee use swift again!"
Eevee shoots a last group of stars while jumping onto Serena's arm. The Stars hit the massive star. Sparkles fly everywhere.
Serena then throws Eevee in the air. The Pokemon keeps doing twists when it's thrown. Once the sparkles disappear Eevee does its last flips and lands on its two front paws.
The crowd bursts into cheers.
"That was amazing Serena!!" Ash shouts making eye contact with her. Serena stares at him. She gains a little blush and she hurried off the stage.
"Huh..... The feeling again." Ash says to himself.
Brock looks at Ash because it's true. Ash does love Serena. He just doesn't realize it yet.
After the remaining Coordinator's finish their routines.
"This time ladies and Gentlemen there will only be 2 finalists! This will be the only contest to do this but enjoy! Look at the screen to see if your favorite has made it!"
Two pictures show up. One is Serena another is one with purple hair.
"We did it!!" Serena says hugging Eevee.
"May the best Coordinator win." A girl says behind Serena.
"Oh hey! Your that girl that I'm going up against!"
"That me alright! My name is Alexis!"
"Hi! My name is Serena!"
"Well it's nice to meet you." Alexis says holding out her hand.
"You to!" Serena says shaking it.
"These two Coordinators please come to the stage!"
Both trainers nod and run off to the stage.
"For today's final we have Serena Yvonne vs. Alexis Ro'Meave!"
The crowd bursts into more cheers
"Begin by calling out your Pokemon!"
"Vaporeon go!" Alexis shouts.
"Absol lets do it!" Serena responds
"Oh my! Serena has brought a Pokemon from another region!"
The crowd cheers again. Alexis stares in awe.
"The time starts now!!"
"Vaporeon water pulse!"
"Protect!"
Absol makes the protect a little half bubble in front of it. The ball of water goes into the half bubble making it go right back to Vaporeon.
"Aqua tail!"
The tail of Vaporeon gets covered in water and it hits the ball causing it to explode with sparks. Serena's point barely go down.
"Shadow ball!"
"Aqua tail again!"
"Checkmate!" Serena says. Alexis realizes her mistake.
"Get away Vaporeon!"
"To late! Night slash!"
Absols horn turns to shadows. It smacks into Vaporeon with a huge amount of power. Alexis's points go down to less then half.
"That was a very powerful move!" The announcer shouts. "There's only 30 seconds left! Can Alexis bring this back?"
"You can do it Serena!" Ash shouts.
25 seconds later.....
"Dodge it Absol!"
Absol jumps to the left causing Vaporeon to miss it's last attack.
*beep beep*
"Times up! The winner of the Cerulean contest with an outstanding battle is...."
Ash is smiling. He's waiting for the final call.
A card shows up on screen. It turns showing Serena.
"The winner is Serena Yvonne!"
"Alright!!!" Ash shouts.
"We did it Absol!" Serena yells.
"Good Battle Serena." Alexis says holding her hand out again.
"Thanks. You to!"
After that Serena receives her ribbon. She gets into her normal cloths and talks to her mom. And after that She heads outside to be tackled into a hug by Ash and Misty again......
Serena has received her first Contest ribbon the day after Ash received his badge. Now Ash knows he might have feelings for Serena. The group now heads off to Vermillion city where the S.S Anne is docked and where Team Rocket have a plan for Ash and Serena. Find out what happens next as the Journey Continues.....
