This is a bonus chapter, rushed to celebrate Teen Hopeline's victory on the Writer's Struggle Awards. Thank you so much for everything, I wouldn't have been able to do this without you!

I've also added a special detail that relates to Sophie's book, "The Library Agreement", for the record it's literary perfection.

15. Pókemon Madness

Tessa's POV

Chelsea and I decided to have a girl's night out today and she's being the gentleman today, meaning she's picking me up, taking us out for dinner and a movie, plus she's giving me flowers (that's a joke but it would be nice, a girl can dream right?).

We got dressed up, me in a baby blue dress that flattered my curves and Chelsea in a black romper that made her look taller and sexy. Dinner went by with ease, no problems whatsoever besides a slow service and a loud chewing monster on the table next to ours.

After leaving Spork, the restaurant I had been in two days ago with mum and Pat, we headed to the movies. Silly enough, we did so on foot, despite being in heels.

It was a nice walk, the weather wasn't too cold, allowing us to wear mid-season jackets over our outfits and having our hair move as the wind blew. We chatted about the usual girl stuff, boys included, as we made our way there.

We got to the 100-year-old brick building in about 20 minutes, you could tell by looking at the façade of the building it had some work done but its former glory was partially removed, at best,  with the big and modern signs and ticket booth that didn't suit the feel of the building at all.

Halfway through the movie, there was a 5-minute break and I decided to hit the head since I drank a tonne of Diet Coke and "half" a bucket of popcorn. When I finally pulled my dress's skirt up and my panties down my phone starts ringing.

"Perfect timing," I sigh but still do my business.

It wouldn't shut up even when after I finished and washed my hands so I dried them on my legs and answered the damn thing.

"Hello, this is a teen help-"

"Hey Tessa," It's James, again. "I have a confession to make." Oh, crap... He seriously does have the best timing, when I'm busy he calls yet, this time, it's for something big. Another big problem...

"What's on your mind?"

"I-I've been doing something bad lately." What the heck can someone as sweet as him do that's sounds so awful? He seems pretty damn serious.

"James, you are scaring me," I mumble quietly.

"Lately..." Last time he made a pause like this after a simple word like that he admitted he wanted to kill himself, I smell trouble. "I've been playing Pokémon Go."

"OH MY GOD, YOU PRICK! What the hell, dude?" I shout into the phone's microphone. "Don't scare someone to half to death for freaking Pokémon!"

All I hear is him laughing and all I see is the women in the ladies' room staring at me like I'm a freak. It's so not right to do something like that, then my frustrated self starts shouting at him. "Shut up, stop! Damn it, James."

He tries to apologise between laughs but then claims his younger brother made him play with him since he's too young to walk around alone. It's an admirable choice to go along, a waste of time but he still got to bond with his little bro.

"Talk me through it," I say genuinely interested in this godforsaken activity that everyone seems to love.

"Wait, what?"

"Talk me through Pokémon, that silly little game everyone seems to be playing."

After 5 minutes of geeky jibber jabber, I still don't understand the sudden addiction between youngsters and an app. The good thing is it makes people get out of the house, that reason alone should be good enough to make me download it. Yet that's not going to happen anytime soon.

"Jamie?" I call him.

"Yes, young Jedi Theresa?" I made one little joke about Star Wars and now I'm young Jedi Theresa? What the heck? I don't like this but...

"Touché, little JJ."

"Now I'm JJ," he giggles.

I think I should start the conversation with something light, just to break the ice. "So how's your day been? Anything different happened?"

"Everything's the same, I guess." He replies quietly, "do you want to know the highlight of my day?"

"Now that's my boy." I cover my mouth immediately after saying that and start laughing nervously, just like him.

"I had pizza for lunch instead of going to the all-to-overrated canteen and my mum is taking us to Burger King later."

"Your whole world is around food, isn't it?" I'm secretly jealous but let's not go there, plus my stomach is already full so... "Besides a happy stomach, what's up with you? How have you been?"

I don't have to wait a long time for an 'I'm ok' but that still leaves me with a question, what is 'being ok'?

Only God knows how many definitions that and 'I'm fine' have had over the years but that doesn't comfort me. I need concrete information, not a vague one. This isn't just doing my job anymore, it's caring for a friend. One who desperately needs and deserves help.

"Hey, James, can I ask you something weird?"

"Uhm, ok sure," he says suspiciously.

"Could you call me tomorrow or something? I'm having a blast with my best friend and I'm pretty sure I'm missed the best part of the movie." I say thinking about the six-packs I'm not seeing because of this phone call. Call me whatever you want but mama likes so toned stomachs, plus I need a day off. "We are the movies, it sort of like a date between the two of us but just as best friends."

"Oh, alright. Sure, what are you watching, though? Letting me guess someone with abs?"

"Hey!" I whisper-yell somewhat offended, "For your information, we're watching Neighbours 2 and yes, Zac Efron is hot as shit but we aren't pervs! We simply know what is good and what isn't as good." That sentence made me get a guilty/naughty looking grin on my face.

"Ugh, Lauren's got a crush on the guy. She won't shut up about it, do I look like I want to know what he was born in '87 in Saint Louis, no it was in Sain Luis Obispo??" He asks genuinely annoyed by it, to be honest, isn't it better to be crushing on a celeb like him than jacking off to some chick whose name you don't even know? Guys' logic is flawed...

"I did not know that and please don't say anything else!" I do think he is hot but I'm not really interested in crushing on someone that I'm never even going to meet! It's pointless and will only end in heartbreak.

And I don't like having my heart broken, ever and by anyone.

"You should get back to your girl's night out," he said in a happier tone.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay, James? I could talk for a little while longer," I genuinely don't want to blow him off but at the same time

"Go," he says promptly.

"Ok, thank you, sweetheart." Temporary freedom, not that I really want to be separated from either friend...

I storm out of the bathroom and into room 4, where my film is. The second I walk in all I see is Zac's naked chest and holy cow Chelsea was right! Abs for days!

After standing there for half a minute with my mouth wide open I race up the stairs and throw myself in the seat next to my beloved friend. She squealed and jumped in her seat, wasting God knows how many popcorns in the process. She must have been blinded by his chest.

"What the hell is wrong with you? God damn woman," she whispered-yelled at me, half pissed half pleased with my return.

Instead of replying, I steal a handful of popcorn for our almost empty bucket and start staring at the screen again. When we finally make up, in a non-verbal way, I set my head on her shoulder and sigh my frustrations out as she sets hers on mine.

{AN}

This is only a filler chapter, plus I couldn't really talk much about Pókemon since I'm not obsessed with it.

Today's Question: Pokémon Go or Pokémon No?

Don't forget to vote and comment your opinion ;)
