Today I woke up in the best mood ever, and I think the fact that I havent thrown up since yesterday helps. Me and Tae were gettin ready to head over his grandmas house, but I was kinda of nervous though because most if not all of his family was gonna be there. Apart of me wanted to go with Reggie so I could be wit my own family, but he was gonna come get Lora later so I'll just go with them then.
Tae: U ready shawty?(he asked comin back in the room)
Yatta: Yea just let me put my belt on.
Tae: Why u pullin that shit so tight like that?
Yatta: Oh my god.(I sighed)
Tae: Forreal bae loosen that up.(he said pullin at my belt)
Yatta: Would u stop.(i laughed)
Tae: Nah u up here chokin my baby move yo hands.(he said adjustin my belt)
Yatta: Jermaine if this is how u gone act I swear im gettin my own apartment.(I said lookin at him and he just laughed)
Tae: Well actually I was kinda thinkin we could do that anyway.
Yatta: Huh?
Tae: Im sayin do u want to get an apartment together? We basically already live wit eachother, and I know u dont wanna go back home for Christmas break soo...(he asked lookin at me waitin for an answer)
Yatta: That sound like a good idea to me.(I said smilin)
Tae: Good cuz I already been lookin and its a nice ass two bedroom that we can go check out tomorrow.
I just laughed at him as he kept goin on ramblin about it all, and then he stopped to look at me.
Tae: Whats so funny?(he asked smilin)
Yatta: I never thought u would be this excited about it.
Tae: Why wouldnt I be?
Yatta: I mean u not scared at all this shit aint exactly normal?
Tae: Hell yea I am, but thats not gone change the fact that this is about to happen. I know this might not be easy shawty, but we got eachother so everything gone be cool.(he said wrappin his arms around my waist givin me a kiss)
Yatta: I hope so.
Tae: Aye but check this out.
Yatta: What?
Tae: Yo ass lookin right in them jeans boo.(he said lickin his lips and grabbin my butt)
Yatta: See thats how we got in this situation in the first place.(I laughed)
Tae: So.(he said kissin me and walkin me towards the bed)
Yatta: Bae stop.(I said laughin as we fell back on the bed and he nibbled on my neck)
Tae: Shawty I got somethin to tell u.(he said lookin in my eyes)
Yatta: What did u do?
Tae: Why u think I did somethin?(he laughed)
Yatta: Nigga because I know u. So what is it?
Tae: Well I kinda told Pat, Marv, and Angelo about the whole baby thing.(he said smilin sheepishly)
Yatta: U know thats funny cuz I told Quan.
Tae: What he say?
Yatta: Surprisingly he was happy, and he even said he would be the god daddy.
Tae: The what?(he said twistin his face up)
Yatta: Please dont be mad bae. I just thought it would be a good idea.
Tae: Its koo shawty if u think its a good idea then I aint got a problem wit it. That and I did the same thing wit Pat, Marv, and Angelo.(he laughed)
I just smiled and kissed him for that comment. I hope everything plays out smoothly, but im still confused about certain stuff. Its one thing I do know my mind is made up about though, and thats being ready to eat. I been snackin on little stuff here and there all day, but the only thing its been doin is pissin me off. We had finally stopped messing around and made our way to be wit his family. As more and more people showed up I was being pulled back and forth to meet them all by Tae's mom, and gandma. The way they were showin me off to everybody u would think I was their most prized possession. Everyone was really nice, and they all seemed to be a really close family for the most part. I tried to get Tae and Lora to help me, but they just found it so damn comical that I was being pimped out. After a while I started to get irritated as fuck for one because i was hungry, and two because i was simply tired of talkin to people. I was almost at my breaking point, but once again some how Tae picked up on it just like that.
Tae: Iight ma can I have my shawty back?(he asked laughin wrappin his arms around my waist)
Ms.Jackson: What u mean he aint goin no where, and yall be around eachother all the damn time. Besides he dont mind do u sweety?
All I could do was smile and laugh to play it so I wouldnt have to give her my real answer.
Ms.Jackson: See he havin fun wit me take yo ass on somewhere.
Lora: Ma granny said she need some help in the kitchen.
Ms.Jackson: Oh ok. I'll be back for u.(she said lookin at me)
I held my smile as she walked off until she was out of sight then turned to look at Tae.
Yatta: Boy if u dont keep they ass away from me im gone lose it. Im fuckin hungry as hell, yo grandma done pinched my cheeks I dont know how many time, and if one more person-
Tae: Bae I get it.(he laughed) Everybody just happy to meet u thats all cuz I talk about u a lot.
Lora: U finally catchin a break boo?(she said laughin comin from the kitchen)
Yatta: Oh my god yes. Is the food ready?
Lora: Almost fat ass calm down. U been smashin since yall got back from that lil trip is it somethin I should know?
Me and Tae looked at eachother for a second then laughed.
Lora: Whats so funny?
Tae: Nothin Lo.(he laughed)
Lora: Nah fuck that dont leave me out I wanna laugh too.
Yatta: Trust me u wouldnt believe us if we told u.
She was about to keep pressing the issue until this guy walked up that I havent seen yet. I was the first one to see him though and we locked eyes as he approached.
Kelly: I knew yo ass was gone be gay.(he said nudgin Tae)
Tae: Wussup nigga!?(he said pullin him into a bro hug)
Lora: KELLYYYY!!(she said huggin him at the same time)
Kelly: Whats goin on yall?
Lora: When u get here? Where is Mya , and auntie Jen?
Kelly: We all just got here, but they in there wit granny.
Tae: How long yall gone be in town?
Kelly: They leavin tomorrow, but im gone be here for a week.
Tae: Thats wussup.
Lora: Where u gone be stayin?
Kelly: Shit at a hotel, but enough about me wit yall rude ass. Who is that?(he said pointin at me standin behind them)
Tae walked over behind me wrappin his arms around me.
Tae: This my boyfriend Kenyatta. Bae thats my cousin Kelly.
Yatta: Nice to meet u.(I smiled)
Kelly: Like wise.(he smirked)
I dont know what it was, but I dont like the way he looked at me. Maybe im jumpin the gun, but this is the same way the shit started of wit Angelo. I felt Tae's grip tighten around my waist and met his stare as soon as I turned around. Its crazy but I could tell exactly what he was sayin to me without him sayin a word. He gave me the "stay the fuck away from him" look, and thats all I needed to see. Finally the food was ready and everybody was sittin at the table stuffin their faces especially me. I dont know if its this whole pregnant thing or what, but i've never been this happy to be eating in my life. What I was about to hear next though almost made me choke on my food.
Granny: So I had a dream about some fish lastnight.(she said smilin lookin at Lora)
Lora: I dont know why u lookin at me?(she shrieked twistin up her face)
Mya: It aint me either granny so dont even look this way.(she laughed)
Granny: Well somebody up in here got some explaining to do.
Ms.Jackson: Lora u sure it aint u? I know u and Reggie engaged now so yall prolly goin at it like rabbits.(she laughed)
Lora: Unh unh I aint ready for no kids. Thats just not on my list of things to do right now, and beside children are the devil.(she laughed)
Mya: I agree.
Granny: Kelly?(she said lookin at him wit her eyebrow raised)
Kelly: Whoa granny dont be throwin salt on me like that.(he laughed)
Auntie Jen: Well if it aint none of yall who is it? They cant have no damn kids. No disrespect babies.(she said lookin at me and Tae)
Tae had started smilin as everybody kept goin on about who they think it is. He looked at me grabbin my hand while standin up, and pullin me up wit him. I shook my head no and tried to sit back down, but he made me stand back up.
Tae: Well actually we got somethin to tell yall.(he said smilin)
Ms.Jackson: Ooohhh yall gettin married!!(she said beaming wit excitement)
Tae: Nah Ma not yet.(he laughed)
Lora: Well then what is it cuz I knew yall was hidin somethin from me.(she said wit an attitude)
Tae: Well..
Yatta: Bae I dont know if this is a good idea.(I said concerned and afriad of how they would react)
Tae: Its cool shawty chill out.
Granny: Well come on and spill it baby whats the big news?
Ms.Jackson: Thats what im sayin Ma cuz now I wanna know.
He got behind me and started rubbin my stomach smiling with pride.
Tae: The reason u had that dream granny is because we the ones havin a baby.
Ms.Jackson: Where the hell yall get money for a damn surrogate mother?
Yatta: Its a little more complicated than that.(I laughed)
Lora: So what u sayin one of yall had sex wit a girl?
Yatta & Tae: HELL NAH!!
We looked at eachother and laughed because we had the same reaction.
Granny: Well then what is it suga?(she asked impatient)
Tae: Yatta is pregnant.(he smiled)
Everybody looked at one another and them burst into laughter. It wasnt as bad as the reaction that I was expecting, but I guess this isnt so bad.
Lora: What?(she laughed)
Ms.Jackson: Sit yall ass down I thought yall had somethin serious to announce.
Tae: Nah Ma im dead serious. Yatta is really pregnant?
Ms.Jackson: Boy the joke is over let it die.(she laughed)
Granny: Baby do u hear what u sayin?
Tae: Granny I swear to god im dead serious.
Granny: Boy u betta watch yo mouth before I snatch them damn lips off. U know betta than to be sayin that in my house, and in front of me.(she snapped)
Yatta: Actually everybody. He really is tellin the truth.
When I said that everybody looked at me wit a more serious look this time. His grandmother got up and walked over towards me lookin into my eyes. She put her hand up to the center of my throat like she was feelin for a pulse. The next thing u know she started to fall backwards but Tae caught her.
Tae: GRANNY!!
Yatta: Oh my god is she ok!?
Lora: Why did she just faint like that?
Ms.Jackson: I cant believe it...
Kelly: Believe what auntie?
Ms.Jackson: Well this just a lil trick the old folks use to do back in the day. See they feel for a pulse in the middle of ya throat, and if u got one it means your pregnant. She did it to me when I was prenant wit yall, but that's just a superstition cause everybody has a pulse in the middle of their throat.
Lora: But Ma what about granny?
Ms.Jackson: Put her dramatic ass on the couch she iight, but u come wit me.(she said pullin me to the bathroom)
She was fumbling through the cabinet until she pulled out a prenancy test then handed it to me.
Ms.Jackson: Here.
Yatta: What am I suppose to do wit this?
Ms.Jackson: Pee on it boy dont act retarded.(she laughed)
Yatta: But-
Ms.Jackson: No buts. Piss on that stick so my mama wont lose her mind. I'll be right outside sweety.(she said kissin my cheek and closin the bathroom door)
After lookin at the test for a minute not believin I was really about to do this shit I pee'd on it. I read the directions to it after to see what meant what, and sure enough it came back positive. I opened the door to her wit a smirk on her face still amused from all the commotion, and handed her the test. She took it from me being careful not to touch the wrong end and started to walk off.
Ms.Jackson: Ok baby now lets go show this to my-
She stopped dead in her tracks as well as her sentence and just looked at the test. The next thing I know she was fallin backwards just like granny did earlier, and i caught her then screamed for Tae to come help me. Well...So much for everybody being so understanding about it.
