see i had an original idea for this, but then it turned into a whole different thing.......
so i hope you like it :-)
"Start from the top!" The choreographer yelled over the music. You wiped your forehead, getting into position for the beginning of the number.
You started out smoothly, doing the easy beginning that all of your group members do, then moving into the verse. Then, it was your solo bit.
You stepped forward how you were supposed to, but then you moved too far left and ran into f/1 (friend #1).
"Stop!" The choreographer yelled. He looked at you, crossing his arms. "What's the deal, y/n? You're never this bad."
You sighed and bowed. "I'm sorry, I really am. I'm just having trouble picking up from the previous part."
He nodded. "You're lucky I'm in a good mood. You've been here all day, girls, it's late. Head to your dorms."
You all thanked him, bowing as he left.
"I'm sorry guys," you sighed. "I've been so worked up-"
"Hey, it's okay, y/n. You'll get it down." F/2 said, patting your shoulder.
"Plus, we got out of practice early. Now you can see Jackson." F/1 said with a huge grin.
You were lucky to be in a girl group with four amazing friends who always knew how to cheer you up.
"Thanks guys, I'll be up in the dorm later, I'm going to work on this part." You tightened your ponytail.
"Sure you will, why don't we send Jackson in here?" F/4 laughed.
"Yeah, he'll help you out if you know what we mean." F/2 wiggled her eyebrows, elbowing you in the side. You pushed her away, feeling your face heat up.
"Stop guys. I don't want to bother him." You whined.
They eventually headed out, leaving you in the dance room alone. You rang through the choreography again and again, narrowing down what you were struggling on, but you were out of focus.
Jackson was your boyfriend, well, he was your boyfriend. He was in a much more popular group than your group and due to management, you two were not supposed to be together. It had only happened recently that you two were not allowed to be in a relationship, and it broke your heart. Your friends haven't heard about it yet, since you were too sad to tell them and burden them.
You slipped as you were dancing, falling forward and catching yourself before you fell.
"You two will not be allowed to see each other in a relationship setting," your manager said as you and Jackson sat across her in the office. His manager nodded in agreement.
"What? Why?" Jackson sat forward in his chair, his face turning angry.
"Got7 is very popular, the fans wouldn't want to see their 'oppa' with a girl." Your manager said simply.
You felt your heart ache. "But-"
"It's unprofessional. You two need to break it up and only talk to each other about business related things. You're here to work." His manager added in a strict tone.
You both sat there, knowing arguing wouldn't get you anywhere. The managers left to leave you two to your goodbye.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know this would happen." Jackson said quietly, resting his head in his hands.
You were silent. You couldn't think of what to say. Jackson had stood up and offered you a hand, but you stare forward. He leaned down and grabbed your chin softly.
"I'll always love you, jaigi. They can't stop that."
And that was the last time you talked to Jackson. You began running through your dance again so you wouldn't think about him.
---
"Knock knock." You heard a familiar voice say. You looked up to see Jackson. It was almost bittersweet; happy to see him, but knowing that you couldn't love him anymore.
"Jackson," You said with relief, turning around to him. "I feel like I haven't seen you in so long."
"I agree," He said with a sad smile. "What are you working on?"
"New choreography for our comeback. It's just really hard." You looked down at your feet.
"Do you need help?" He steppe forward.
"Are you allowed to help me?" You questioned.
"There's no one here to tell me I can't help my friend." He said with a light chuckle.
Friend. He had never called you a friend before. You looked down again, fighting back tears.
"Yeah, of course." You muttered.
He stood in front of you. "Show me what you got."
You nodded as he pressed play. You started it nicely, but once you got to the transition, you tripped on your own foot and fell to the ground.
"Ah!" Jackson ran to you, grabbing your hands to pull you up. "Are you alright? Y/n?"
You stayed silent, sitting on the ground. Your eyes traveled up his body until they met his eyes, and you felt yourself breathe heavily. You pulled your hands from his grip, covering your face and beginning to sob.
"Y/n, y/n, why are you crying?" Jackson's voice got softer as he fell to the ground beside you, lightly grabbing your arms.
You continued to cry, leaning lightly onto his chest. It was painful, it was so painful, but you did it anyways.
"Hey, is this because of the dance?" Jackson said quietly, running his fingers through your hair. "You'll get it down, you're a great dancer."
"I-It's not that." You nearly whispered. Jackson sat down and turned you toward him.
"I know. I know it's not." He tenderly wiped your cheek.
"D-Do they even realise how much this hurts? Physically? Emotionally? To just throw you away like that? And then I have to see you, in the hallways, on posters?" You continued crying. "They can't just control how people feel. I can't just not love you."
Jackson stayed quiet, drawing circles on your leg. He was so quiet, and you noticed how tired he looked.
"I haven't been sleeping well. I knew you'd be heartbroken, and-" his voice cracked. "Seeing you, so upset, it really hurts."
You cried even more once you saw a tear stream down his face. Jackson never cried, believe it or not. He wasn't ever sad, never truly upset about anything.
"Jackson, don't cry, please." You said, moving forward to wipe his cheeks.
"I'm trying not to, y/n, but it sucks. This is all shit. I love doing this, it's my dream! But," he took a breath. "How am I supposed to live my dream if I can only have one part of it?"
"One part?" You sniffled.
"Yeah. This is so cheesy, but my other dream was to have someone love me as much as I loved them. A-And you were that dream for me. Because I know you love me." Jackson rubbed his face.
You smiled, reaching out to grab his hands. "Surely there's a way, there has to be a way."
"I can't be without you. Mark and BamBam said they were worried about me, my health and all. What am I supposed to do?" He sighed.
"I don't know, Jackson, but we've got to do something." You squeezed his hand.
"They won't change the rules for us. We'll have to wait for years." He rested his head against your shoulder.
"Maybe if we follow their rules and stay on the good side of things, we could slide them a deal?" You rested your head against his head. "I'll make our comeback super good. I'll nail this dance if it can impress them enough to let me be with you."
"I'd sell my snapback." Jackson said into your shoulder.
"You wouldn't." You laughed, tickling his neck. He giggled, pushing you lightly.
"Maybe I would. I kind of dig you." Jackson said.
"Ditto." You smiled back.
"Now let's get those dance moves crisp and clean, shall we?" He jumped up, grabbing your hand. You gladly grabbed it and got to your feet.
Jackson helped you out a lot that night, dance wise and emotionally.
I'm upset retweet if you cry every time
Alright adios muchachos <3
