~when you're 5~
Your mum was holding your hand as you two left the house. Your dad had been cheating your mum, both financially and physicaly, for some time now and now the government was giving you guys a new place to stay. The thing that annoyed you was that your father didn't have the smallest bit of sympathy for you or your mum. He never cared. He'd be taking you out shopping then leave you in the middle of a crowd, alone, to hit on women. You've hated anyone like him. Someone who would play with people's hearts. You could never like them.
~years later : 13th of February~
You were a third year student at Aobajosa. You were part of the art club and you didn't have many friends that were girls. Why? Because that jackass Oikawa. You were coming out off the club room when someone yelled your name. "(Y/n)-chan!" Oikawa jumped at you and engulfed you in a hug.
"Get the hell OFF ME!!" You shout. You flipped that piece of trash onto the floor and growled. "Aw come on (y/n)-chan, don't be like that."
"Don't add 'chan' to the end of my name." You stomped off and Oikawa runs after you.
"Can I walk you home?"
"No." You say firmly. "But why." He whines. You stop and put your hands on your hip and glare at him. "Don't you have some fan girls to play with. Go bother them." You walk away and Oikawa pouts. "Oikawa-senpai!" Some of his fan girls yell. "Hello ladies." He winks. Your eyebrows twitch and you had to resist the urge to run up to him and punch him. "Your as bad as my dad." You mutter.
You walked home and grabbed some food on the way. You then got a call from a random person and decided to pick it up. "Hello?"
"(Y/n)-chan!"
"HOW DID YOU GET MY NUMBER YOU PIECE OF TRASH?!"
"Well that wasn't very nice."
"I don't care. Bye."
"Wai-"
You hung up and sighed. "What an ass hole." You groan. "Hey you didn't let me finish." You turn around and see Oikawa come out of a bush. "What the-are you following me!?"
"Well..." He scratches the back of his head. "Stalker." You turn around. "W-wait. (Y/n)-chan." He walked next to you so that he could talk. "I wanted to ask you something."
"WHAT!"
You stop and he smiles down at you. "Tomorrow's Valentine's Day so I was wondering if you'd go out with me somewhere."
"No." You walk around him but he catches your wrist. "Wait. Hear me out." You turn to look at him with one eyebrow raised. "Go on a date with me tomorrow. One date is all I'm asking for. If you still don't like me I'll stop bothering you."
"One date?"
"One date."
"...fine. If it means you'll leave me alone."
His face lights up with joy and he hugs you. "Thank you thank you thank you. I'll meet you at the fountain near the mall at 4:30 ok."
"Hm...fine"
"Great." He jogs off. "Oh and wear something casual yet nice." You roll your eyes and walk away.
The next day Oikawa didn't come to school, which surprised everyone. All the girls were really upset. They all had chocolates for him and that made you feel sick. Your phone vibrates during lunch and you looked to see what is was. Oikawa was texting you.
'Hey (y/n)-chan! I'm looking forward to out date tonight. Just because I'm not in school doesn't mean I'm gunna miss our date. Don't worry I'm not sick, I just didn't want to be bombarded with sweets before our date is all. Love you! (♡ε ♡)'
"Ok seriously, how'd he get my number?" You murmured to yourself as you continued to eat your bento.
~time skip~
You were getting ready for your date. You told your mum and she understood your situation. She laughed a bit too. But that meant she could have some time with her boyfriend, who she'd been with for the last 3 years. You were happy that she found someone else to love. You did threaten him that if he hurt her you would go ballistic. He understood completely.
You wore a black skirt with a white and (f/c) stripes long sleeved top. You wore some shorts underneath your skirt incase Oikawa tried anything. You wore brown boots, knee high socks and some jewellery, applying a bit of makeup too.
You left the house and made your way to the fountain. Once there you heard Oikawa calling you. You saw him and walked up to him. "Hey. Sorry I'm late." You said with a strait face. "D-don't worry about it." He looked at you with a blush spread across his cheeks. "Why're are you blushing?" You said with an eyebrow raised. "Y-you look really pretty is all." You blushed a bit at the compliment but shook it off.
He took your hand in his and dragged you away. "So where are we going?" You asked. He grinned at you. "We're going to an amusement park. There's gunna be a fireworks show at 8 too."
"Alright. But if you try anything..."
"I won't. But I do want this to feel like a date. This may be the last time I ever get to go on a date with you."
You rolled your eyes and trailed behind him. Once you got there thought your eyes lit up. Everything looked amazing. You guys walked by a shooting stall that caught your eye. There was a huge (f/a) plushy. Oikawa noticed and went up to the man at the stall. "What do I have to get to get that giant (f/n)?" He asked the man. "Oo, that's the hardest one to get friend. You have to get 5 bullseyes."
Oikawa's smile turned into a frown. "Sorry (y/n) looks like I can't win it for yo-"
"Hand me a gun." You said as you slam the money on the counter. "Good luck." The man handed you a gun. '5 bullseyes'. You shot the five bullets and Oikawa's jaw dropped. You got five bullseyes. The man at the stall clapped his hands and whistled, then handed you your prize. You skipped away. The man looked at Oikawa, grinning. "You have quite the woman there." Oikawa smiled. "I know."
He left to catch up with you. "So where do you want to go next?" You wanted to go somewhere where he would make a fool of himself. "I want to go on that." You pointed at a huge rollercoaster. Oikawa went pale. "T-that?"
"Yep. Or are you too scared." You smirked. "No. Let's go." He walked up to the rollercoaster and payed.
You sat at the front with him. As soon as the first drop came he screamed. "AHHH!!! I WANT MY MUMMY!!!" You laughed your head off. Both because of his cowardice and the adrenaline. Once the ride stopped you went up to Oikawa. "Man you're disappointing. You can't shoot 5 bullseyes and you can't even take a silly rollercoaster."
"Y-you made me go on that on purpose. Didn't you?"
"That's what you get for making me go on a date with you. I might as well have fun and make a fool out of you. I have to admit that was fun though...thanks Oikawa for bringing me here." He blushed and took you to play another game.
A few rides, games and funny moments later you decided to get some food. You sat at a table together. "I'll go order." He said and walked off. You sat there smiling. 'I guess he's not so bad. He's really sweet to me. Maybe I'll give him a chance.'
After 6 minutes you got concerned and went to look for him. You walked around the restaurant. You turned a corner and found Oikawa in a booth with 4 girls, laughing a flirting. You stood next to a plant so that they couldn't see you, but Oikawa did. His eyes widened and you went red with anger and embarrassment. You grabbed all your stuff and ran away.
Oikawa excused himself and ran after you. You were by the riverbank outside the amusement park, alone. He grabbed your wrist and turned you around. "Please (y/n), it's not what it looks like."
"Really because what is looks like is that you ditched me to flirt with some girls. Am I wrong."
"No but-"
"You honestly don't get it! You're the reason why no girls in our school like me! Grr! Your just as bad as my dad!"
You started tearing up and he stared at you. "You don't give a single shit about my feeling and you ditched me to go hang out with girls. Just like him. Your a sleazy bast-" you stopped once you saw his face. He was crying. "I...didn't know you hated me because of that." He fell to his hands and knees. "I'm such a jerk to you. No wonder you hate me."
"O-Oikawa."
"Please (y/n)," he looked up at you. "Don't leave me. I don't blame you for hating me. I'm having the time of my life on this date. But please know that I only flirt so that I don't break anyone's heart. Anyone can be ripped apart by a broken heart. I mean look at me. I don't want this to happen to others. And please know that I love you. You're not like other girls. Your unique and your the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. You're funny, smart, confident, you seem to shine every time I see you. Please don't leave me."
You were shocked. You bent down and cupped his cheeks, wiping away his tears with your thumb. "After that performance, how could I not fall for you." His eyes widened. You leaned in and kissed him. He kissed back in a matter of seconds. It was sweet and passionate. "I love you so much." Oikawa sniffed and jumped on to your lap and hugged you. You gave out a small giggle. "I love you too. Promise me you won't flirt so much with girls."
"I promise." Suddenly the first firework went off and you to watched the show together.
~Next week~
"So ladies wanna hang out with me at lun-"
"YOU BASTARD!" You yell and kick Oikawa in the face. "I'm your girlfriend."
"Sorry (y/n)-chan."
