"Happy birthday!"
A series of poppers fired, followed by loud cheering from the crowd.
Each and everyone of the invited guests were bustling about how great their presents were while digging into their cake, ignoring, the birthday boy's constant yelling.
"Here you go, open it." ___ tossed Bokuto his gift which he easily caught. She was pretty confident that he would like it. He always had a thing for swords even though he knew almost nothing about them.
"..." Bokuto stared blankly at present which he held up with 2 fingers. "What is this? And it's so small..."
"Wha-" And poof, a bump appeared on his head. "Be grateful you owl head, that keychain was hand-made by me!" And poof, another bump.
She was disappointed, very disappointed by his reaction. He was supposed to love it. She even spent 2 whole nights, sacrificing her sleep just for that 'small' gift. It held all her heart and her effort. Or maybe she just got her hopes too high. It was a little out of shape but not too much to not be recognized.
She ran out of the house before she could hit Bokuto another time. It was pretty much her first time actually working hard. See? Nothing ever comes out from hard work.
Was she going to cry? Nope, just gonna keep punching that tree that took Bokuto years to grow. It couldn't possibly fall down right? It's a tree for goodness' sake.
"___? ___!" Bokuto called.
"Don't go searching for me like I'm your dog!" She shot. Her glare could've made a bullet go through his brain if she concentrated hard enough.
"And don't go looking at me as if I'm some sort of criminal!" He shot back.
"Actually, you just became a criminal in my book," ___ stuck out her tongue and Bokuto gave a small pout. "Why?!"
"You broke my heart! Not a heartbreak, more like a self-esteem break," Her eyes shifted to the ground. "I worked so hard on that..."
As she sighed, she felt long arms wrap around her body and warmth creeping up her chest. A red hue was soon seen on her cheeks. "I-it was a joke."
"No it wasn't. If you're gonna lie then tell a realistic one."
"Fine, I still don't know what it is but thanks anyways... Ouch!" Behold, the third bump!
"At least say sorry!"
"Sowwy..." He gave her his puppy eye look but he looked like a constipated cow which made ___ disgusted but she still giggled since he just looked too funny.
"Apology accepted. Happy birthday, you dork."
A happy birthday for Bokuto who just received 4 gifts from ___. 3 hits on the head and something which he wasn't sure about. Just like fat molecules being broken down into 3 fatty acids and 1 glycerol.

Someone please tell me what I just wrote in that last paragraph... I like biology but not to that extent.
