General P.O.V

To her surprise, Weiss was having fun of her own as she walked with her company. People looked at her direction but none really did her any harm. Although it did disturb her, Weiss was paying no attention to them and instead were placed on to the three girl she walked side by side with, Ruby assisting her as she walked.

"So! Did you like the first stop? Blakey here likes that cafe a lot. I happen to like the shakes there too." Yang enthusiastically said. Weiss nodded to agree, liking how her coffee was made in the said establishment. Ruby seemed to like the cookies from there as well as she was still munching away happily with her last piece of the largest cookie the mermaid has seen.

"Do you want to see anything in particular here, Weiss?" The faunus asked, eyeing the silent girl next to Ruby.

Weiss has certainly seen a lot of things, marveled how life went on in Vale and how it has been no less fun for her. It mused her that life wasn't so different in Vale than the one in her town at the kingdom where her family ruled. It has been so educational for her as to place it in simple words.

Even if she hasn't exactly visited all establishments there was in town, she at least knew where to go when needed to buy something. She need not to buy anything as well, so lon she saw what she needed to, it was fine as it is.

"Vale is quite amazing. It's so lively and it's a good change of...atmosphere." Weiss smiled as she looked around the streets they trotted about.

"I bet it is. Not so similar to countryside yeah?" Yang asked, grinning as she narrated her thoughts. Weiss couldn't help but agree.

"I'm glad you're enjoying your stay here." Blake said so as she ate a tuna sandwich. Ruby had a new jar of cookies to herself and it was amazing the mermaid how Ruby ate them in a fast rate.

"I've seen most of Vale in less than a day. Tell me, are there forrest here?" Weiss asked and this seemed to perk up the young cookie lover next to her.

"Oh dear.." This was all Yang and Blake coukd say once Ruby heard of the suggestion. More of like the question..

A high pitched squeal came from Ruby and when she jumped in front of Weiss with a huge grin on her lips, this made Weiss quite  a bit nervous as she was sensing something out of the ordinary with the girl's actions.

"Can we please go to the Emerald forrest? Please? Please?" She asked like an excited puppy.

Her sister wasn't a girl who could refuse the girl's requst as she rarely went anywhere and she didn't see Ruby in such a mood for ages. For a while, she's been sick and stayed at home mostly but now that Weiss came in the picture, she looked like she was feeling better. Two days and Weiss already got her little sister good company. The number of things she feared and was gleeful about in this situation were a handful but she had to handdle the situation given to her.

Yang couldn't resist those pleading eyes--puppy eyes, no less-- as Ruby asked for permission. She then surrendered. "Alright but you are not to use Crescent Rose unless it's necessary, okay?"

"I promise! Yang, you're the best!!" The silver eyed girl jumped for joy and hugged her sister. This was going to be quite something. They just hope Weiss won't faint.

Weiss was puzzled as to what or who id Crescent Rose and why Ruby had to ask permission to go to a forest. Was it something bad? She hoped not.

"Come on, princess. Time to check out a Grimm-infested forest." Blake told her and pushed the girl back to where they came from, following Yang and Ruby as they walked ahead.

"Excuse me. Did you mention Grimm?" The mermaid asked and paused upon coming to realize what the word meant. Blake nodded and looked at Weiss with the most peculiar of all expressions, wonder.

"You haven't seen one before?" The fauness asked.

"I have but...in a form of large serpent." The surprised Blake. Weissto see a large serpent by the country?

"A king taijutu?" Blake asked and continued walking with Weiss to catch up on the two up front who were on their way to the ports.

"No. Nothing in comparison to that. Much bigger." Weiss tried to recall her last encounter of an underrwater grimm that coiled almost her tower. Blake tried not to think of something bigger of a king taijutu.

"Did you fight it?" That was the quetion Blake has been meaning to ask her. She certainly had aura, used semblance and had something in her sleeves but could she fight?

"I...did. After--Nevermind. I did but I got injured trying to defeat it on my own."  She said, at least hoping that her words would be suffice to answer Blake's question.

"Defeat it by yourself..?" Turns out, she had more questions to ask the girl. "How exactly..?

Before Weiss started to rattle, Ruby called her up front. That saved Weiss some effort to answer more dangerous questions.

"Weiss!! Come on! You'll love the forrest! And I bet you haven't rode an airship yet!" The girl waved by the front which made Weiss sigh. A childish girl for a young teen. It was rather...refreshing.

"I'm there. No need to shout out loud. Everybody will hear you." Weiss couldn't be more relieved despite her childish actions. Ruby saved her from answering questions from Blake who was curious. Weiss jogged her way to the airship...

...until she tripped.

"Weiss!!" Ruby called out but Weiss was already bracing herself forimpact until Ruby came to her rescue once more, catching her before she fell to the ground.

"R-Ruby!" the mermaid was surprised to feel Ruby's arms around her. She wasn't used to walking just yet and they were starting to get alittle painful but tripping? It was unprecceded.

"Just in time. You okay?" Weiss stood on  herown, flustered and embarassed. She could only nod. "Good. Are your legs alright?"

"Pshh! Of course they are, Rubes! She's not a baby. Come on or we won't catch the ship." Yang called upon entering the ship and waited for company. Weiss nodded once more but before she could start walking, Ruby took the liberty to carry the girl without as much of a notice. Before the mermaid could protest, she was already at the airship and Blake followed not long after. Once all were aboard, the ship left the ground and was on their way to the Emerald forrest.

Blake could only wonder what Weiss did to defeat a grim bigger than aking taijutu. She shivered with the thought.

===================

"Finally! I thought tgat ride won't end!" Yang brushed off  her clothes and fixed her hair once they got off the airship. Blake listened to everything around them, hoping it was safe and Ruby was once more holding Weiss in her arms.

"It's fun!" Ruby couldn't help but say before she let Weiss stand on her own. After resting for quite a while, Weiss felt better than earlier and was certain that she won't trip anytime soon.

"This is certainly something." The mermaid started walking around in wonder of what might be in-store for her little adventure around the new land she was about to discover.

"Just be careful of Grimm around the forest." Yang warned as she got her gauntlets ready. Ember Cilica was soon ready for a fight.

"And noone told me about this? I didn't get to take Myrtenaster with me!" The girl protested, now quite fearful that she mightjot be able to make it out of a battle with a grim when they soon encounter one.

"No worries, Weiss. I'll protect you." Ruby assure but Weiss was having none of it. She was earlier warned by her sister and when she had her sight on the metal by Ruby's hands, she knew that it was Crescent Rose.

"No you won't as much as I appriciate your kindness, I do not want anymore trouble once we encounter one." The mermaid clarrified and suddenly placed her hand at her necklace. She wasn't going to use anything that were not needed. Her rapier wasn't available so she had the rest of her elemental powers to save her so it wasn't so bad. Not unless her aura runs down in the middle of a fight...she hoped it won't come to that.

"Ruby, be a good girl, okay? We'll avoid bad paths as much as possible." Blake assured her with a smile. Ruby could only nod.

She understood why they were stopping her and avoiding to let her fight and it was quite complicated. Good thing she had her medicine all night. Thanks to Weiss.

"Okay, okay. Let's just go for a stroll, please?" And so they did, taking paths with less probablility of having Grimm or having none at all.

Weiss was enchanted with the forest as she knew that the trees were diffirent. Everything was. Especially when the rays of sunset entered the forrest floor, everything just got magical.

For a while, their stroll was quite uneventful. No grimm attacked them, no one showed itself until the sun started to set, until Weiss was startig to get tired, and Ruby a little too lax.

Before they knew it, they were surrounded by beowulf all around them and they were in trouble when they are to be trapped in the forrest at night. More trouble for them.

"Yang! Beowulves..." Blake armed Gambol Shroud by her hands and didn't think twice in attacking and cleaning up the crowd they've gathered. All of them looked at the girls with their beady glowing eyes and snarled, obviously unhappy.

"Gotcha, kitty!" Yang soon followed suit, punching all enemieson her way, protecting Weiss and Ruby as they stood together.

For both girls, they were frustrated and it got to their veins. Sure, Blake and Yang were holding their ground but they won't hold it long enough. They watched in horror as they gathered more grimm of thenight than they were supposed to. Weiss was shaking in panic and want to fight. Ruby was no better.

"Weiss! Ruby! Run away and find a wide open area! We'll contact the school for help so evacuate!" Yang advised as she punched an ursai's skull, killing the monster.

"Yang, we're not leaving you and Blake!" Ruby yelled, lunging towards Yang to join the fight but Weiss stopped her.

"Just get to open space and we'll follow! Weiss, leave and run! We'll follow! You can use Crescent Rose! Go!" Yang yelled and sure enough, she delved further away from the girls to get the grimms' attention on Blake and her but some were eyeing them. Weiss grabbed Ruby and ran.

"We'll see them there. I'm sure Yang and Blake will hold their ground." Weiss told her and tried to run faster but Ruby was faster and soon, she was once again in the girl's arms. Weiss was always flustered when she was being carried evenin this situation.

"You're gonna trip when you keep running. Hang on. It's not far from here." She hoped Ruby was sure where she was headed to because she was new to this place. They didn't pass through here earlier so she left the navigation.

They arrived on an open area and temple ruins were scattered everywhere. This must be what Yang was reffering to. So...deserted for a ruined temple. No breeze, no crickets singing, just silence and the last rays of the sun illuminating the grounds. Soon, moonlight will be the only source of light. They had to leave fast.

"Ruby, let me down." Weiss requested sternly, eyeing the dark shadows by the trees. Ruby let go of Weiss but she held the girl by her waist, knowing she might fall down. "Ruby..."

"Pleeeaassee? I feel better feeling you next to me." That made the mermaid flustered, wanting to protest with what she wished.

"Why now, Ruby? You stayed by my side last nigt as well. Why doyou need so much contact? From me no less." Weiss wondered and braced herself. Although, before she could hear an answer, an ursai came to ruin the moment but before Weiss could attack it, a sound of a blade sliced through the air. Soon, all was left was a carcass of a grimm thay soon evaporated to nothing.

"Because, hugs and cuddles are my medicine. I though I told you that last night?" Ruby grinned. "I know it's unWeiss to say it now but, it's Shneeded." The nerve of the girl to say puns in the middle of it all was unnerving Weiss. Did she just--

Before she could retort, Ruby was off to slay more grimm with a smile bigger than she's ever seen the girl wear before.

"Ruby Rose!"

"Yes, Weiss?" The girl jumped back, slidding from her last attack to finish a beowulf. She grinned.

"You...yooooouuu!!!" Weiss couldn't say anything else but she stood up, agitated. She soon found herself bathing in the shards of a frozen barbatusk she froze together with another beowulf.

"Sooo cool!" Ruby marvelled with how the girl faught on her own without any weapon and relied solely on her semblance and aura alone. It was amazing.

"Stop the puns, Ruby. I seriously will use this and I'll drag you underwater." Weiss made a shard of ice in her hand and crushed it. She was clearly unhappy of the puns. Ruby just giggled and hugged Weiss once more.

"If you say so, Ice queen." Ruby giggled and hugged the girlonce more before holding off a swarm of beowulf and ursai once more, not too far from where she left the flustered mermaid standing.

"Ruby!" She made quite a friend and she can bet on her fins that she was just starting and this was nothing she expected.

Nothing at all.

"Weiss, don't get your snow in the oven. She's just...clingy. UnWeiss but it's nothing you can't handle." Yang said, appearing out ofno where by her side.

"Do something fishy though, you'll be sliced in a sushi plater. Figuratively speaking."  Blake placed a hand on the mermaid's shoulder, grinning.

That made her tense. It was waaaaay off what she expected.
