Look at my precious child i love him so fucking much.
Phil ended up staying all night, he sang a bit off key in my ear and played with my hair until I fell asleep. I felt completely at ease when I woke up to my alarm clock, my head resting on Phil's chest.
"Turn that stupid thing off. Let's skip today." Phil said, sleepily.
"I'd love to, but I still have to take Ade... Adrian to school. So might as well get the day over with." Phil gave me a sympathetic look, knowing how hurt I was about the whole situation with my brother.
"Well... Can I take a shower here?" Phil asked wearily, unsure if it was okay to ask,
"Of course! I'll let you use some clothes as well. Black okay?" I chucked at the thought of Phil wearing only black. He always wears such bright, fun colors, and it suits his personality very well.
"Yes, black is great." he smiled and I handed him a clean towel.
"I'll be downstairs, I'll you make breakfast, what do you want?"
"Oh, no. Please don't go out of your way to make breakfast for me."
"Why? You went out of your way to be here." I looked down at my feet, noticing that one sock was inside out. I don't know how I didn't feel that before.
"I wanted to be here. I missed you." I looked at his serious facial expression before giving up and sighing.
"Fine, but can I buy us breakfast, Dunkin' Donuts? " He smiled really big before shaking his head yes.
"i really love donuts."

"Adrian do you want anything?" I looked in the rearview mirror at him. His headphones were on and he didn't hear me. The better part of my brain was telling me to ignore him still, but I couldn't do that. No matter what he said or did, he's my baby brother.
I reached behind me, hitting his leg to get his attention. "What?" he asked, his voice horse.
"Do you want anything from Dunkin' ?" He looked a bit surprised for a spit second before he shook his head no, and put his headphones back on. I would probably still get him something anyway.
Phil walked in front of me as I held the door open for him. He smiled wary, and nudged me with his shoulder, a "thanks" but a little more meaning behind it. As we waited our turn we just kept making funny faces at each other, until Phil completely derped, and i lost it, my laugh probably annoying everyone in the store. I put my head down in shame, still laughing at the situation.
"I can help whoever is next!" The nice old lady behind the counter said. I stepped up, my hand lingering on Phil's back. I thought he would reject me, but instead he completely leaned into me, not even trying to make it subtle.
"We'll take 3 chocolate long johns, and 3 large french vanilla iced coffees." I said, taking my parents credit card out.
"Alrighty then, that will be 9.72" She smiled warmly at us, her eyes telling a story. She just seemed to be the happiest person on the planet, and just seeing her in such a good mood brightened my own mood.
She gave the card back and yet again, smiled so big at Phil and I.
"She is the nicest old lady in the world." I whispered in Phil's ear. He nodded and somehow brought his body closer to mine. To an outside viewer, it would be quite evident to them, that we were together. But they wouldn't know how difficult the whole thing is. We aren't "together" in the sense that a couple, dating, would be.
We're simply... together. I feel happy when I'm around him, and I would be lying if I said that i didn't enjoy how needy he was acting right now. I liked holding him. I liked him being this close to me. I enjoy his presence, and I think he enjoys mine.
