So what did I do to pass the time? Many times I dwelled on the past, especially if I was by myself for too long, so I attempted to distract myself. I was a veterinarian’s intern, I was unpaid up until a couple months ago, where Dr. Bronson caved and deemed me worthy for the job, but she only let me work three days a week. Now she was on vacation so her office/home closed for the next week. So I hunted.
My friend Breanna was the only one who knew about my hunting, because she was the only one I knew that would believe me. She didn’t know about my abduction last summer, but she knew something was different. She was unique, that was for certain, ever since we were kids. She had long blonde hair and olive green eyes, she was thin. With a flower in her hair she was one who always surprised me.
A couple of months ago she decided we’d have a girl’s night out, shopping, and food. I was in her room changing out of my scrubs when she walked in to grab a hair brush. A white eight pointed scar was on my back, a result of Crowley’s stabbing. When Balthazar brought me back home, all of my scars I had received with the Winchesters were gone, except that little prize, an eighth of an inch crater in my back.
I saw her eyes widen in the mirror when she saw it. “Oh my god what happened?”
“I don’t think you would believe me if I told you.” I said, pulling my shirt on.
She sat down on her Hello Kitty bed and crossed her arms. “Try me,”
“It was last summer,” I sighed, “How far will you go on believing me?”
She stuck her upper lip out, “You’re my bestest friend,” She said in a pouted tone.
I really did want to tell her, but I was afraid of her reaction. She was so unpredictable sometimes. She's either think I was delisional, or angry I hadn't told her sooner.
So I lied to her because I was pathetic and wondered about her reaction what I told her. I spoke of hunting and how when things got a little shady I had been stabbed with a kitchen’s butcher knife. I told her about the ghosts. She asked why wasn’t I dead, I tried to tell her that I didn’t know why. Of all awesomeness, she had believed me completely. She was a great friend, and even though it was hard to lie, I felt it was for the best.
