A/N: Ayyyoooo that's Dylan (you don't know who that is yet)

~

I pulled into the parking lot of my school, taking the key out of the ignition. I was using Michael's car right now since he was on the tour and I needed a car so it actually worked out quit well. I sat back in my seat and let out a sigh, I was not mentally prepared for this.

Not that I ever am.

After my visit to the eye doctor, it was concluded that I did need glasses. I had gotten my prescription filled over the weekend and now officially had glasses and was to wear them all of the time.

I looked in my rear view mirror, smoothing out my hair and adjusting my glasses before gathering my book bag and opening the car door. I slung the heavy object over my shoulders and locked the car before shoving the keys in some random pocket of my bag.

I made my way to the school building following the sea of all of the other teenagers getting out of their cars. I passed Colby and his group of friends as they stood leaning against their fancy cars, gossiping about something. I just knew they were going to give me hell today.

"Hey Jasey," Kayla smirked sarcastically. I quickly glanced at them before adverting my gaze else where, leaving their snickers in the back ground.

"Four eyes!" One of the girls called, I'm pretty sure it was Brooke.

I snaked my way through the corridors on my way to science. When I finally arrived to the classroom, I was shocked to see that I wasn't the first one in here today like I usually was.

A dark headed boy with shaggy hair and pale skin sat on the stool next to mine. Mrs. Baker finally noticed my presence and then informed me who the boy was.

"Jasey," she spoke as we both made our way to my lab table, the boy finally looking up at us, "this is Dylan, he's new to the school. Would you be interested in showing him around?"

Of course I couldn't say no because that's just the type of person I am.

"Yeah, sure." I smiled at both of them before sitting on the stool next to him while Mrs. Baker walked back to her desk.

He smiled at me shyly before I decided to speak even though I felt like my heart was in my throat and I don't even understand why.

"What's your schedule?" I asked.

"Hang on," he mumbled, moving his messy hair from his forehead and turning around to reach into his back pack then handed it to me. When he spoke I had noticed that he didn't possess an Australian accent like myself.

I looked at the sheet of paper before me, "oh we have history and lunch together."

"Cool."

Was he American?

"Yeah," there was an awkward silence, "so where are you from?"

"I'm from America."

I fucking knew it!

"Oh wow. That's a long ways away," it was like a 22 hour flight. I can't imagine packing up all of my stuff and moving half way across the world.

"Yeah, the flight over here was crazy long," he chuckled showing off his dimples. I wanted to ask why he moved but I didn't want to be nosy or ask a question to something that might be a sensitive topic.

"What part of America?" I asked instead.

"New York," he simply stated.

"Really? I've always wanted to go there!" I said with a little too much excitement and instantly regretted it on the account of the embarrassment I was feeling right now.

"Sorry," I mumbled feeling my cheeks burn a crimson red.

"You're fine. Yeah, it's nothing like Australia," he sighed, "I already miss it."

I went to respond to him but the bell rung rudely interrupting me and signaling the start of class.

~

I took my usual seat in Literature and of course I was the first one in there. It was because I didn't waste my time talking to anyone in the hallways, not that I had anyone to talk to.

"Alright class, settle down!" Mr. Bolton shouted over the loud noise of the classroom.

"Today before we start anything, you will be receiving a new seating chart."

You've got to be kidding me. I like my seat, I don't want to move. I hate this class and I hate Mr. Bolton.

"Alright Jasey, you and Colby will be at that table." Of course. Of fucking course. I quickly picked up my things and moved over to the seat that I was just assigned as the jock followed.

I listened as the teacher finished off the new seating chart and tried to ignore Colby as hard as I could even though he was doing everything to be noticed.

Throughout the whole class all Colby did was poke me and copy answers off of my paper and asking inappropriate questions.

God, so many inappropriate questions.

The bell finally rang and I wasted no time getting out of there. I made my way to the cafeteria, kind of hoping Dylan would sit with me since he was new and we had lunch together.

I sat down at a random table where nobody was sitting and pulled out my lunchbox to get my lunch out but was saddened when I saw that my peanut butter and jelly sandwich had been squished, I know exactly why though. Colby sat on my lunchbox because he thought he was being funny but I knew he was just a dumb fuck.

Well I guess I'm not eating lunch, it's alright though cause I'm not that hungry anyways. I looked around the cafeteria for Dylan but saw him nowhere so I decided to retrieve my book from my backpack to read a bit.

"Is this seat taken?" A familiar accent filled my ears as I looked up to see him setting his tray of school food down across from me.

"No, go ahead."

"Thanks," Dylan smiled, "so how's your day going?"

I put my bookmark back in my book and closed it before answering, "it's alright. And yours?"

"It's better than I thought, honestly." He said taking a bite of his food, "the school food is way better too."

"Really?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah-"

"Look it's faggot and four eyes!" Brian shouted as him and Colby walked by our table.

Dylan's cheeks flushed a soft shade of pink as he pursed his lips. I felt bad for the kid, starting a new school was hard enough especially a new one across the county and the way those bullies were treating was no help. I pushed my glasses up on the bridge of my nose trying not to let the immature comment affect me, although it was a lot more than I would've liked to allow.

"Don't feel bad, they do that to everyone," I said trying to give a reassuring smile, while silently hating my glasses.

"Well they have a reason to call me that, I guess."

"What do you mean?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Well," he sighed, "I'm gay."

I didn't know what to say.

"Oh."

~

As soon as I got home I traded my stupid school uniform for some sweats and Luke's old jacket.

I wasn't proud that I had brought the thing out again but I've been missing him and this is the only thing that mildly helps. It was loosing his scent and I just wish that i could give it back to him so it would smell like him then he could give it back to me. It was also comfortable as hell and it gave me a sense of security, it made me feel at home.

I have been doing homework for the last two and a half hours and I finally decided to take a break when I heard my laptop make a 'bing' noise.

I opened it to see that I was getting a Skype notification and I got so happy when I saw who it was.

"Jasey!!" They all shouted as their faces popped up on the screen, only three, as usual.

"Hey guys!!" I cheered back so fucking excited to see them.

"Holy shit Michael, your hair is fucking purple!" I laughed taking in the change of my brothers hair.

"Yeah I just did it today."

"I helped!" Calum chimed in.

"And I cleaned up the mess," Ashton jokingly glared at the two other boys.

"Aww poor Ash," I chuckled.

"So how are you?" Michael asked.

"Uh, great." I hesitated.

"Wait," Calum said causing us all to be silent, "when the fuck did you get glasses?!"

I touched the glass frames on my face honestly forgetting about them, "oh, I got them over the weekend. I also got my license!!"

"Oh, my baby is growing up!" Ashton joked.

"Yeah, yeah whatever," I smirked.

"How's school?" Ashton asked. He was always one that took an interest in how smart I was.

"It's school."

"I mean how are your grades?" He pressed farther.

"Easy dad," I chuckled, "all A's except for one B in fucking maths."

"Ugh that is one thing I don't miss!" Calum said exaggeratively.

"Same," Michael agreed.

"So how are you guys?" I questioned.

"Fan-fucking-tactic, there are so many babes here," Calum said slyly, "they're all over me."

"Oh Cal I forgot you were always such a ladies man," I swooned jokingly.

"Yeah you know me, Mr. Steal-yo-girl."

"Oh please they wouldn't even talk to you when we went to the club on Friday," Ashton said bringing Calum back down.

"Shut up," he murmured.

"Your room is a mess Jasey," Michael said.

"You're one to talk, I bet your bunk is a mess. Your room still is," I shot back at him.

"Oh it is," Calum and Michael said in unison. And I just gave Michael a point as if to say I rest my case.

There was a small silence before Michael spoke up, "hey guys do you mind if I talk to my sister for a minute? Alone."

"Oh, yeah sure." They mumbled before walking out of the room they were in.

"Is that Luke's jacket?" He asked cutting straight to the point.

"What? No!" I stated in shock that he had recognized the old thing.

"Jasey," he said sternly.

"Fine," I rolled my eyes, "yeah it is."

"Why?"

"Cause I miss the little fucker," I pouted.

"He misses you too," I perked up at that, "I don't understand why you guys don't get back together."

"We can't Michael," I sighed sadly, "it just wouldn't work."

"You're so complicated," he rolled his eyes.

"It's what I'm good at," I shrugged.

"He's a mess."

"God, don't tell me that Michael." I said subconsciously tugging at the ends of my hair.

"Sorry but he is and you obviously are too!"

"Well we'll get over it!" I snapped.

"Alright," he said holding his hands up, "sorry."

"Me too."
