Heyyyyyyyy guys. :D
So I wanna dedicate this chapter to the amazing squigglesquirrel. He's one of my closest friends at my school, and he just got Wattpad a few days ago. If any of you guys are into Doctor Who, he has a fanfic about it called 'Timelord; Alone'. I don't know ANYTHING about Doctor Who, so I can't really explain it all that well. :'D But anyway, here's the description:
The Master is back from the dead and back at his old antics; trying to get the Doctors attention, the only way he could. The Master didn't want any old attention from the Doctor. No. He wanted special attention, and he was determined on getting it.
You should definitely check it out. :D
I hope you guys like this chapter. I felt strangely happy while writing it. :')

Chapter Eighty-Four
By the time I had found a department store, bought the crib and a few other things, and had set the whole thing up in the house, Rebekah was at the door. I set the thin mattress down into the crib, then sped down to the door.
I grinned as soon as I saw Rebekah standing there, holding Hope in her arms.
"Bekkers!" I squealed, hugging her tightly, and making sure that I didn't crush Hope in the process. I pulled away and looked down at the child, and it was absolutely amazing what I felt when I saw her. It was as if every piece of guilt that I had about killing those witches the night of her birth simply vanished, because I knew that everything I had done was to protect her.
"Here," Rebekah smiled softly at me as we both walked into the house. "Hold her."
I quickly nodded to Rebekah, feeling tears of happiness pricking at my eyes. It was remarkable how happy this child made me, when this was the first time I had truly seen her with my own eyes. I took Hope in my arms, holding her carefully, as if he she was a porcelain doll.
All of this, all of the battles that we had fought in the past year, it was all for her. And in this moment, I knew that it was worth it. I knew that she would grow to be strong and loving, just like her mother, and intelligent and courageous, just like her father.
"She's beautiful," I whispered, my voice cracking a little bit.
"Yes, she is," Rebekah smiled. "I'm going to go get Elijah," she told me, then turned and walked back to the car.
I held Hope carefully while she hummed and babbled, and walked up the steps. I went to the spare room I had set up for her, I turned on the light, smiling at the squeal that she let out when I did. Children were amused and surprised at the smallest things, which was only one of the reasons why I loved being around them so much.
Hope yawned loudly, so I took her over to the desk that I had converted into a changing table. I changed her diaper and put on some pajamas that I had bought for her, then picked her up again and took her to the crib. I laid her down, and she yawned again.
I smiled down at her and put my hand down close to hers, and she grabbed the end of my finger in her little palm.
She slowly began to fall asleep as I stayed by her, and her hand went limp around my finger. I removed it gently, then leaned on the edge of the crib.
"I will always protect you, Hope," I whispered, then turned and shut the light off and left her alone to sleep.

Elijah was very angry with Rebekah for snapping his neck, but he wasn't one to hold a grudge against his siblings. So instead, he just stared out the living room window in silence while I played with Hope on the floor.
I handed Hope the rattle I had bought her when I got the crib, and giggled when she started to squeal and shake it wildly.
I glanced up at Elijah, then over at the doorway when I heard Rebekah walk in. She was holding a bottle of wine, and was quite excited about it.
"Well isn't this place rather nice!" she said. "Nik must have compelled a wine lover to keep it up because I found a 2005 Bordeau. Fancy a sip?"
"I do appreciate the sentiment, Rebekah, but I do recognize when I'm being handled with kid gloves."
Rebekah sighed and set the wine bottle down on the coffee table. "How are you feeling?"
"Patronized," he stated, then turned to face her. They both looked down at Hope, who was now sitting in my lap comfortably while shaking her rattle. "I am here to protect you."
"We know you are, Elijah," I told him.
"And yet, Rebekah found it necessary to render me unconscious before bringing me here?" he said.
"Well, you weren't yourself!" Rebekah insisted. "And I needed to get us out of that diner. What happened back there?" she asked.
I saw Elijah's jaw tense up. "I don't know," he said, then pushed the subject to the back of his mind. "Niklaus sent me to protect Hope. My job is to keep her safe."
"And you will," I said, then looked down at the child in my arms and held her a little closer. "We all will."
I decided to pick up Hope and take her outside for some fresh air. She was dressed in warm enough clothes, so she would be fine out there. I put her into her baby seat, and brought her out onto the porch. Rebekah followed after me, and before long, I saw her walking around and gathering wood.
Elijah came out behind us, and sat down on the edge of the porch beside me. I smiled at him, then placed my hand inside of the baby seat. She held tightly onto my index finger, the same as she had the night before. I saw Elijah looking down at her with a soft smile on his face and joy in his eyes.
"Why don't you hold her?" I asked him, smiling at him again.
He tensed a little again, and Rebekah looked back at us, agreeing with me. "It's alright, Elijah. She won't break. Everything you did was in the name of protecting her, I'm not worried."
Elijah was finally convinced. He reached down and picked up Hope, holding her gently and delicately. He seemed to have a way with children, specifically Hope. He looked at her like she meant the world to him. It seemed as if we felt the same way about her.
"Hi, sweetheart," Elijah said, smiling softly at Hope. He looked back at his sister with a questioning expression. "Is that what I think it is?" he asked.
"It's bonfire season," Rebekah said, standing up with a grin on her face. "And I am reviving a family tradition, especially since we're all going to be together."
Rebekah walked over to us, and Elijah sighed. "Only because we're fleeing from one of our deranged parents, another Mikaelson family tradition. It's a peculiar thing," he said, standing up and walking over to Rebekah. "Never to be tired, yet forever exhausted by the sameness of things. Why is our family always at war?"
"I don't know," Rebekah said. "But being away with Hope made me see things differently. We're not so bad," she said, taking Hope's hand in her own. "Not the monsters that our parents think we are," she kissed Hope's hand, and I smiled at them all.
"After every bit of pain and darkness, there is always happiness and light," I said, looking down at Hope. "She is that light."
"Yes, indeed she is," Elijah smiled down at her, and kissed the top of her head. Then he looked over at me with one of the happiest expressions I had ever seen form on his face.
We all looked over at the road when we heard a vehicle speeding down the dirt path, and I knew it was them. Klaus was eager to get here, of course he probably broke a few speeding limits on the way here. That was just how Klaus worked.
The SUV pulled to a stop, and Hayley practically jumped out of the car before it did. She ran towards us, with Klaus following behind her. She stopped when she was a few feet away, just staring at her daughter with a look of pure relief and almost disbelief at the fact that she really is seeing her child.
She slowly walked towards us, as Elijah did the same. She took Hope into her arms. "Hi," she whispered, smiling and holding her daughter as close to her as she could. She looked at us with a thankful expression, then turned and moved over to Klaus, who seemed just as awestruck as Hayley.
Klaus held her, a wide smile on his lips. He pulled her slightly closer to him as Hayley grinned, and Klaus kissed Hope's forehead.
As I looked at them all, I loved the happiness and feeling of serenity that formed around us.
We would find a way to be happy. We would find a way to be safe as a family, whether Kol and Finn were involved or not. We would find a way to live together and in peace.
We will thrive. No matter what, we will find a way.
