Chelsee's POV
I met the rest of the family during dinner. Roland introduced his wife Joan and his kids Laiken who was eighteen, Suzy who was sixteen. Lilly had Lindy who was seventeen and Zak who was thirteen and morgan who was eleven. They were very nice. It's not gonna be to hard to get a long with them. It's just so weird that I had so many family members I didn't know about.
"So Chelsee I hear you got into a fight with someone in the meeting today." Roland stared at me from across the the living room.
"Well, I really didn't mean to but, he was being a jerk and I couldn't control myself. I'm sorry I didn't mean to make trouble." I said and Rob grabbed my hand and held it tight.
"Are you kidding. It's about time someone put that kid in his place. I'm just surprized you did it the first meeting you ever went to. You did your dad proud." Liam gave me a smile. I have to admit that I was warming up to him but, it still doesn't mean that I completely trust him.
"Speaking of my dad. I would like to know why I didn't know about any of you until I came here?" I looked around as all of them look back and forth at eachother.
"Well it's a really long story." Liam looked down and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Well you better start talking. I'm sick of being lied to." He looked up and glared.
"You have no right to talk to me like that." Everyone in the room went silent and was looking between the two of us. Liam stood up keeping his eyes on me. I stood up and moved closer to him.
"Really I have no right? Well, guess what you have no right thinking that you can just come into my life and think that I'm going to accept it. All of you have lied to me and my brother. You're supposed to trust your family. The only people that I can actually trust is Rob and Luke. I can't believe that my own father lied to me. I don't even get to get mad at him because he's dead. What really pisses me off about all of this is that all of your kids got to grow up knowing who they were." I had tears starting to fill my eyes. "I don't want any of this. I was fine with the life that I have right now."
"You don't have a choice. Your the next person in line after me." He honestly thinks he gets to make this choice for me.
"Actually I do have a choice. I want nothing to do with you. I'm not going to take your place." I turned around to walk away and he grabbed my arm. "You're gonna wanna let go of me now." I turned back and looked at him.
"Or what? Last time I checked I'm the alpha and you obey my rules." He leaned down to my face.
"Dad." I heard Roland walking closer.
"Shut up Roland!" He quickly gave Roland a glare and whipped his head back at me. He looked right into my eyes trying to use his alpha authority but, it wasn't working on me. "Now you will listen to me. Not only because I am your alpha but, because I'm family." I hit his arm and he immediatly let go of my arm.
"You lost the right to call yourself family to me. You can't control me like you control everyone else." I turned around and Rob stood up and followed me. I turned back around and looked at Liam his eyes wide. "If you want me to take your place. You have to start showing people the respect that you demand from them. Or you will never see me again." I turned and walked to the door. Rob opened it and I walked out and he followed me. He quickly opened the door and and we hurried and went in the room. He shut the door quickly and looked at me. I had tears going down my face.
"I'm so sorry Rob. I don't know what happened." He came and wrapped his arms around me.
"Babe, you have nothing to be sorry for. I just have to know something." He looked down at me.
"What is it?" He looked down at me.
"How did you not cringe when he looked into your eyes. Everyone in the room did and we were surprized you didn't. That's why Roland tried to get his dads attention but it didn't even phase you."
"I really didn't notice anything happening I know he was trying to use his authority over me but, it did nothing." He looked at me wide eyed.
"Are you kidding me. I have never seen that before. I almost wanted to cry for you. I could barely stop from bowing my head to him." He gave me a half smile. "I'm sorry what he said to you. You're only mad at him aren't you?"
"I don't know anymore Rob. Everyone in my life has lied to me and I can't take it anymore. The people I trusted the most distroyed any part of me being able to trust anyone again." He gave me a sad look.
"You think you can't trust me?" He loosened his grip on me.
"You are the only one excluded from all of this. Rob, I love you and I know you would never hurt me." I rubbed the side of his face. He leaned down and put his forhead to mine.
"I love you too Chelsee." He pause for a minute. " What about your brother though Chelsee?"
"Oh my gosh I totally forgot all about him. He's going to be wondering what happened. Waite I bet you my mom told him. If she didn't I am going to be so furious with her." I turned to get my phone and opened it up. "Oh by the way Rob when we get back I'm staying with you for a while. I don't want to be around my mother right now." He smiled at me.
"I would love to have you stay with me." He went over to the bed and layed down.
I dialed Lukes number and he picked up quickly.
"Oh my gosh Chelsee are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm ok. I take it mom told you everything."
"Yes, I can not believe that they lied to us Chelsee. This really pisses me off. Mom wanted me to fly over there with her and meet them but, I didn't want to so I came over to Olivia's house."
"Mom actually was going to make you come here and meet them. They are all alike they think they can just force us into this without us having any say in it."
"So who exactly is all there?"
"Roland and Lilly brought there families and then there was Claire and then Liam."
"Everyone is there? Mom said it was only Liam and Claire."
"No they were all here. We just left there cause I got into a fight with Liam."
"Whoa really? What happened?"
"Well Luke he expects me to take over for him after he steps down." It went silent for a second.
"WHAT! Is that why they just barely came into our lives? Just so you could take over for him? Tell me what you said to him."
"Well Luke I told him I didn't want it. I told him if he wanted my help he needed to change and start to show some respect for people."
"OOOooo really? Way to go sis. Were the others mad that you yelled at him?"
"No actually they tried to get him to stop but, he wouldn't. He was furious, he tried to use his authority on me but, it didn't work."
"Yeah Mom told me that you are more powerful than he is. What was it like? Was it pretty freaky? Mom told me about the eyes that you guys share. I always wondered why when you told me to do things I would listen to you." He laughed a little.
"To be honest Luke I wasn't scared of him at all. I was so mad, I could have cared less of how he felt. Oh by the way speaking of power guess what I did today at the meeting."
"What?"
"I got in this fight with the alpha of New Jersey's son and I threw him over my head. I still can't believe it."
"Yeah right what ever."
"I am totally serious you can even ask Rob. He saw it." I walked over to Rob. "Tell my brother what I did at the meeting today." He had a smile on his face. He grabbed the phone.
"Hello."
"So, tell me what really happened during the meeting." Rob laughed and shook his head.
"She's telling the truth Luke. I've never seen anything like it. She just grabbed him by his armd and threw him over her head. It was actually freaking sexy I'm not gonna lie." Rob laughed.
"Ewww dude I don't want to know that you think my sister is sexy. That is just a creepy thought. But I am gonna have to test her when she gets home." Rob laughed into the phone.
"I'm gonna love to watch that. I'm pretty sure she could take you Luke. She could probably take me if she wanted to."
"Oh whatever you would just let her win. Any ways is she doing ok Rob? Be honest with me." Rob gave me a half a smile.
"It's not to easy but, she's trying to get through it." I layed down next to Rob and curled into his side.
"Well, I will let you guys go. Thanks for being there for her Rob. Oh by the way, I can't wait for you to be my brother inlaw. It's gonna be sweet."
"Thanks Luke we'll talk to you later. Bye"
"Bye."
Rob turned the phone off and put it on the night stand next to him. "Your brother is weird." He squeezed his arm around me and rubbed my shoulder. I laughed a little.
"Yeah he really is."
"Not as weird as the rest of your family but, he's a good guy. I can't wait til he's my full on brother inlaw. It will be nice to have a brother." I looked up at him and smiled.
"He really looks up to you Rob. You have no idea. I'm glad that your that influence for him in his life."
"He doesn't need me when he has you. But I'm glad you feel that way." He kissed the top of my head. "Do you want to shower first and I'll go after you?"
"No you can go in first. I'm gonna sit here for a little while."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure babe. Just go and shower I'm gonna go into the study for a sec." He got up and went into the bathroom. I went into the study as I heard the shower turn on as I was looking at the books that were on the shelves. Some were about wolf history, others state history and it continued on. Until I came to the book titled room history. That's weird. Why would they have history of people who were in the rooms? That is pretty weird if you ask me. I turned the book and there was people from California, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, Oregon, and then it came to the council. I looked through all of them and then I came to councilmen 1. I wanted to see who was before Rob. I flipped through the pages and found Robs name Written in his hand writing and the bottom of the paper. I turned back one page and I saw my dad's name. My heart started to speed. My dad was in this position and he didn't even tell me or my brother. How could he have done that to us? He pretended to be a beta to Jason's dad when he was Liam's right hand man. I shut the book quickly and put it back as I heard the shower turn off. I walked to the closet and got my pajamas out. Rob came out wrapped in a towel and came up behind me.
"Hey are you ok? You look a little sad sweetheart." He grabbed my shoulders and leaned down and kissed my neck.
"Rob, did you know that my dad was the last person who had your place on the council." I turned around and he looked at me nervously.
"No I didn't. I'm sorry I had no idea. Are you okay?" He searched my eyes for a moment.
"I guess. I just can't take anymore surprises. It seems everywhere I turn there is something new that I don't know. My family has so many secrets and I just don't want to hear anymore from them." Rob wrapped his arms around me.
"Honey I am so sorry. I know everything seems bad right now. It will get better though. You just have to give it time." I shook my head.
"I'm just gonna go shower now and see if I can get a little less tense." I turned to the batheroom.
"Do you need my help?" I turned and looked back at Rob who had a great big smirk on his face. I shook my head at him. I jokingly laughed at him.
"Really funny. I think I can handle that on my own." I shut the door and I heard him chuckle.
