Chapter 5: Challenged
Tristen's P.O.V.
I don't want her to chose, because I don't know who she'll chose? I hope she see through his ego. He doesn't love anybody. The only girl he ever loved, died in my arms.
My sister, Bethany, was dating Elijah. They had been going strong for...two years? Then one day, Bethany and Elijah went for a run together. I didn't trust Elijah, so I followed them.
I found out that my assumptions where correct.
A group of rouges came out of no where and attacked Bethany. Elijah saw them and ran.
I ran to help Bethany, but was to late. I killed three, but the other two got away. I ran to my sister who lay bleeding on the ground.
I tried to save her, but she was gone.
Before she died she whispered one thing.
"Elijah?"
I snap out of my trance. Melanie was talking to me.
"Tris, I don't know what to do?" She whishpears. "It's okay, Mel. Just get to know each of us better."
Damn, why did I say that?
"Yeah, Tristen. That's a great idea!" Melanie says.
"Who do you want to get to know first, Mel?" Elijah asks.
MEL?
"Well...I guess Tristen. I've known him longer." She says.
Elijah looks down and smiles. What's his problem?
"You've known me just as long!" Elijah says.
"Actually...I feel like I...do. Is that wiered?" Melanie asks.
"Not at all!" Elijah says.
"Melanie, we should go to class. If you don't wanna be late?" I say.
"Oh, yeah, right. Lets go." Melanie says.
"What class?" Elijah asks.
"Socials." I answer.
"Cool, me too. Ill walk with you!" Elijah says.

When we make it to Socials, I sit in my seat. I then realize that the seat next to me is taken. Melanie has to sit somewhere else.
Mr. Goodwin walks into the room and slams his work on the table.
"Hello, cupcakes!" He yells.
Mr. Goodwin is a forty year old man with salt and pepper hair. His eyes are a dull green and he is 4ft. 1in.
"Mr. Goodwin, we have a new student." Elijah says.
"Yes, I know. Melanie Jones, front and center." Mr. Goodwin says.
Melanie walks to the front of the class room and turns towards us. She has a smile on her face.
"Hi! I'm Melanie!" She says.
"Melanie, take a seat next to...Mr. Barnes." Mr. Goodwin says as he looks at the seating chart.
Elijah looks up and waves at Melanie. His grin is evident, it's because I'm stuck with Elizabeth and he gets Melanie.
