After getting into a rather fancy Mercedes, Jack turned on the radio.
"So, where are we going?", I asked him nervously. I mean, I should be nervous. This is my first date! Ever!
"That's a secret.", he replied.
"You could be taking me to my death for all I know!", I tell him, hoping that he will just tell me where we're going.
"Oh darn! You figured out my plan!", Jack said jokingly.
"Just tell me. Please.", I begged.
"Nope.", he replied with a grin.
Why must he be so cute yet so unbelievably stubborn?
I guess I'll just have to wait.

About a half hour later, after a lot of talking, the radio announcer announced something quite hysterical.
"This next song goes out to all those lovers out there. I give you "Kiss the Girl", from The Little Mermaid.", the radio announcer said cheerfully.
Oh. My. Goodness.
"There you see her
sitting there across the way
She don't got a lot to say
But there's something about her
And you don't know why
But you're dying to try
You wanna kiss the girl.", The radio sang.
I looked over at Jack. He looked so alarmed. It was hilarious. I was trying not to laugh.
"Sing with me now
Sha la la la la la
My oh my
Look at the boy so shy
Ain't gonna kiss the girl...."
Jack was redder than a tomato.
"Sha la la la la la
Don't be scared
You've got the mood prepared
Go on and kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la
Don't stop now
Don't try to hide it how
You want to kiss the girl"
I fought to keep a straight face as Jack blushed uncontrollably.
"Sha la la la la la
The music play
Do what the music say
You got to kiss the girl
You've got to kiss the girl
You wanna kiss the girl
You've gotta kiss the girl
Go on and kiss the girl."
I couldn't hold back my laughter.
I laughed uncontrollably as Jack looked as if he was about to melt from embarrassment.
I sang along to the song teasingly.
He looked so mortified.
Then Jack finally joined in,
"Sha la la la la la
Don't be scared
You've got the mood prepared
Go on and kiss the girl,"
We sang The Little Mermaid song together until it ended.
We erupted into laughter together.
It was hilarious seeing Jack singing a Disney song. But it was even more hilarious that he knew the lyrics from memory. He must have listened to that song a lot.
The ironicalness of situation was also comical.
But this little mermaid didn't get her kiss.
Which was surprisingly disappointing.
I would have never thought that, I, Kendall Hanks, the used to be nobody nerd, who never had a crush, or boyfriend, or any type of love experience or desire of one, wanted to be kissed.
But she did. I did.
"How did you know the lyrics?", I asked out of curiosity.
"My sister is obsessed with The Little Mermaid.", He said, smiling.
"I didn't know you had a sister.", I say.
"Well, there's a lot you don't know about me.", Jack says mysteriously.
"Well you don't know everything about me either.", I say.
"So let's make a game of it. We try to get to know each other better, and at the end of this date, before I drop you off, we see who knows each other better.", He says.
"Okay, but what does the winner get?", I ask curiously.
"Loser has to do whatever the winner says for one day.", He says mischievously.
"Bring it.", I say, thinking about all the things I would order Jack to do once I won.
"You are going down.", Jack says confidently.
I roll my eyes.
"What's your favorite television show?", Jack asks me.
"I don't like TV. I prefer books. There's much more adventure in a book than a show.", I tell him, scrunching my nose at the sound of the word, television.
"You're kidding me. Have you ever heard of Doctor Who? Or The Walking Dead? Or any other amazing show? The Big Bang Theory? How do you not watch TV?! If you ask me, television is better.", He says.
"How can you say that?!", I ask in mock terror, "Books are always better than the movies. Books are incredible."
We continue to argue until Jack finally gives up the fight.
"Okay. Fine. Whatever. Just ask me a question.", He says.
I grin in triumph. "What's your favorite color?"
"Green.", He says immediately. "What's yours?"
I thought about it for a minute.
"Teal."
"Okay, pick one word to describe yourself.", He says.
"Umm, I'd say that I'm independent.", I say.
"I think you're more stubborn, than anything.", Jack says.
I punch him playfully on the arm.
"Yeah right. Then what are you?", I ask.
"Easy, Rebel.", he says.
I raise an eyebrow.
"Relax, I'm just joking.", Jack said laughing. "I don't know. I don't know what I am."
One word that defined Jack in every single way possible floated in my mind.
Wonderful.
We asked each other all of the questions known to man, and I was feeling confident that I would win.
Before I knew it we were surrounded by skyscrapers and city lights.
"Where are we?", I ask.
"Arland.", He answered.
Arland was a middle sized city where most of California's banks and business head quarters were located.
"What are we going to to in Arland? Rob a bank?", I asked, completely confused.
Jack laughed.
"No. You'll see. We're almost there.", he said.
We turned a corner and I saw the most ginormous amusement park that I have ever seen.
A big bright sign that read, "Arthur's Amusement and Fun Park" guarded the entrance of the Park. Colorful roller coasters of all shapes and sizes could be seen from the road.
"An amusement park!", I said excitedly.
Jack smiled.
"Yep."
"I never knew they had an amusement park in Arland.", I said.
"Some rich business man named Arthur built it for his kids because Arland didn't have many fun things for kids to do. But he wanted to make some money off of it at the same time, so he made it open to the public, with an entrance fee of 50-100 dollars.", Jack said.
"Wow. And how do you know all of this?", I ask.
"Google mostly. The other part is just me.", He says with a small smile.
Jack found a parking spot, not to far from the entrance. Then he opened the car door for me and helped me out.
Jack is such a gentleman.
Then we walked to the entrance.
"Two tickets please.", Jack said to the guy behind the counter.
"I can pay for my ticket.", I tell Jack, digging in my wallet.
"No, I got this.", Jack says handing two fifty dollar bills to the ticket man.
I scowled at Jack. I could pay for myself.
"I can pay for my own ticket, thank you very much.", I say, after we entered the amusement park.
"I guess you are independent, now that I noticed.", Jack says smiling.
I rolled my eyes.
"I'll be right back. Wait here.", I tell him.
I walk back up to a ticket stand.
"Two VIP passes please.", I tell the ticket man.
He hands two wristbands over in exchange for eighty bucks.
"Thank you.", I say in a singsong voice.
I walk over to Jack and hand him a wristband.
"Thanks.", He says sounding surprised.
"No problem. Let's go ride some roller coasters.", I say, fastening the wristband around my wrist.
We walked over to a roller coaster called "The Death Trap."
"The Death Trap" was lime green and had several loops.
Since we have VIP passes we don't have to wait in line so we just got onto the roller coaster.
It went really fast and you were upside down for the most part.
It was really fun, and Jack kept me laughing the whole time.
After a few roller coasters we were hungry so Jack went to the Snack Shack to get some food while I found us somewhere to sit.
After a few minutes, I found the perfect place.
A beautiful picnic table secluded by shrubs and trees.
I texted Jack where I was and took a seat. The calmness and silentness made me relax.
Too bad it only lasted about ten seconds.
"Kendall Hanks?"
Oh no. Go away. Maybe if I don't say anything he'll leave.
"What are you doing here?", He said.
Nope. Definitely not going to leave.
I sighed and turned around.
"What do you want, Will?", I asked, feeling extremely annoyed.
It seems like I can't avoid Will even if I travel to a different town.
"What, I have to want something to talk to you. I just want to engage in a perfectly normal conversation with my gorgeous friend, little Kenny Hanks. Is that too much to ask?", Will said taking a seat next to me.
"Yes, and yes. So what do you want?", I replied.
"I want to know, what you are doing in my theme park?", He replied.
"Your theme park?! Wow, I knew you were conceited, but this amount of hubris is shocking.", I say, even more annoyed now.
Please let Jack rescue me. Hurry up.
Will laughed. "Did I ever tell you how hot you look angry. And I do own this park, ya' know."
I was about to respond when Jack finally came.
"Kendall? Who's tha-,", Jack stopped.
Jack dropped the food on the ground. The drinks spilled everywhere.
His face was pale.
"Jackson Matthews? Boy have you changed."
