"This is the fifth time this month that you've been here.What's gong on?"I asked.I was at the precint doing my detective work.
Carter has been coming here constantly for three months because he keeps getting in trouble with the law.He keeps hanging out with those friends of his.And he's a good kid.We've talked a little while he's been here and when I drive him home.
"Nothing.I've just been a really bad boy is all"He smiled,looking down.
I don't believe him.
"Tell me the truth Carter".
He sighed."Its stupid."
"Come on Carter."
"I come here because I'm lonely.
Your nice to me and I just wanna spend time with you."
I raised my eyebrows.Is he serious?
"Well you need to stop getting in trouble to see me.If you wanna talk just visit me.OK?"
Carter grinned,nodding.
"Thanks Yasmin.Your the best."
"And don't come here so much.The boys are starting to get suspicious. They think something is going on between us."I giggled.
Carter remained serious.Okaaaay..
"If that's all,you can go"I returned back to my work.This case is driving me nuts.
"I've seen that guy around."Carter said,his breath tingling on my neck.
I turned around.
"I thought you left.And you have?"
"Yup.He's one of my friend's uncle's cousin.His name is Marco".
He leaned close to my side.
I moved away,typing this information in my notes.
"We've been tracking him for weeks.The guy is good at hiding.He's stole from three of the Chase banks in the city.We think he's heading to Westfield next."
Carter laughed.What's so funny?
"For a detective your not so smart ".
"Excuse me? "
"He obviously know that you guys are looking for him.He's not going to go to another Chase bank.His next target is TD Bank.I don't know which one ."
"How do you know all this stuff?"
Carter reached for the computer and began typing.
He pulled up a map.It was all the banks Marco robbed.
He connected the dots.It formed a triangle.
"Crap!Your good."I said shocked.
Carter grinned.
"Which bank was first to get robbed?"he asked.
"The one on Flatbush.Why?"
"Each bank is in one borough.He's been in Manhattan,Brooklyn and Queens.The closest bank is TD Bank in the Bronx.If you wanna catch him.That the one he'll be at.But I'm not exactly sure if I'm right."He shrugged,
Woah.I quickly typed up the info and sent it to the rest of the team.
"Thanks.Your really good at this. "
"My dad is a detective."
"Really?What's his name?"
"Lance Wills"he mumbled.
"The Lance Wills !?! He is literally my idol. He's the best in the business!"I was so excited.I can't believe this!I was talking to the son of my idol.
"Yup.Which is why he has to travel the world solving crime.And why I'm stuck here all alone."Carter sighed,sitting next to me.
"Oh right.Sorry."
"Yeah.I miss him but it doesn't matter because he has better and important things to do.And BTW the bank opens at 10 and closes at 9.If you wanna be there in time get there exactly 8:45.He'll come when its about to close and stay when everyone leaves.That's why he's so good.And remember bring backup but that's only if I'm right of course."Carter got up and walked out the door.
I will never get that boy.

"Estimated time of robbery: Friday night.The day when nobody will really be there.You have to get all your police guys ready."
I nodded as I jotted down the info Carter was giving to me.
"I hope you get him."Carter half-smiled.Something was bothering him.
I put down my pen and notepad.
"Whats up Carter?You OK?"
He looked away.
"You remind me of my Dad.Which makes me annoyed and frustrated".
"I don't get it"
"He always forced me to help with cases.We never hung out or did stuff together. But I love him and I don't know what to do."
I sghed.I put my arm around Carter and hugged him.
Poor guy.
"Yasmin?"
"Yes Carter?"
"Do you think that I'm a good person?"
"Of course I do."
He stared at me.
Um okaaaaaaay.
"Well thanks for the help Carter."
"Yasmin"He leaned closer to me and rested his head on my shoulder.
"Carter.What are you doing?I have work to do.And don't you have school? "
"Yasmin.I'm confused.I just wanna spend time with you.And I don't know how I'm feeling.I think I ..."
"Carter you have to go to school "I got up and walked to the door.
He followed me.
"Fine.But I'll be back"
"Of course you will"I rolled my eyes laughing.
