"He's running a mild fever... I wish I could offer more insight right now... But I'll need to run some blood tests to get a clearer picture. Once we have the results, we'll know exactly what's going on with him." Said the doctor and left from there.
Jungkook went to jin and said "hyung...wake up please...you are scaring us". "He'll be fine jungkook" said yoongi.
Just then hobi and Namjoon entered the room with food while hobi saying "we are back....I made lots of food for you al-" he was cut off when he looked at jin laying on the couch. He continued "jin hyung...what happened?...is he sleeping "
"He is not sleeping...he is unconscious" said tae.
"What?" Said hobi and Namjoon together. They both kept the lunch boxes on the side table and went near jin. Namjoon caressed jin's head and said "what happened to him? Why did he faint?"
"We also don't know it yet... doctor said he has to check his blood report first" said yoongi
Namjoon who was still caressing jin's head said "he has a fever". "Fever?" Said hobi worriedly and immediately went inside the attached washroom.
In the washroom he took out his handkerchief from his pocket and filled water in the mug. He dipped his handkerchief in the mug and came out of the washroom. He put the mug on the table near the couch and squeezed the excess water from the handkerchief and put it on jin's forehead.
Observing Hobi's gesture, Jungkook followed suit, extracting his own handkerchief from his pocket and immersing it in the mug. After wringing out the excess water, he gently laid the damp fabric on Jin's hand.
It pained him deeply to see his hyung in such a state
After a while the doctor returned with jin's reports and said "he has iron deficiency his blood levels are too low...also it looks like he is overworked.. he needs plenty of rest and nutritious foods for a few days then he will be fine"
Jungkook's eyes welled with tears as he asked, "When will my Hyung wake up?" His voice quivered with desperation, longing for his Hyung to open his eyes as soon as possible
"Hey, don't worry, kiddo... I'll give your hyung an injection, and he'll be waking up in no time, not more than 15 minutes!" Said the doctor. His words were filled with reassurance, delivered with a warm and cheerful tone, aiming to ease the worry etched on jungkook's face.
The doctor injected jin and wrote some medicines on the paper while saying "give these medicines to his twice a day for a week".
Hobi took the paper and said "anything else?" The doctor again told them to give him plenty of rest and left from there.
Jungkook was not at all at peace. Jungkook felt really uneasy. He kept wetting the handkerchief, squeezing it, and placing it on Jin. His face showed how worried he was
Sensing Jungkook's distress, Namjoon gently guided him to sit beside him, enveloping him in a comforting embrace. 'He'll be alright, Jungkook-ah," Namjoon murmured softly, his words laced with reassurance. "Why are you so anxious?" he asked, tender concern evident in his voice.
"He was looking very tired and sick since few days... I asked if he was fine or not but he always said that he is fine...I told him to stop overworking but he never listens to me" said jungkook with a pout. Anger and concern for his jin hyung was clearly evident in his voice.
"Alright alright calm down....I am getting scared seeing your anger" said namjoon while laughing. Jungkook looked really cute while saying all that in anger and Namjoon couldn't help but laugh at his youngest brother.
"Why are you laughing, hyung... I'm serious," Jungkook said, his voice edged with frustration as he huffed in annoyance. Namjoon struggled to control his laughter, managing to choke out, "I'm not laughing"
They both were in the middle of their conversation when yoongi noticed jin trying to open his eyes. "Stop fighting you both... jin hyung is waking up" said yoongi
They both snapped their attention to Jin, witnessing his struggle to open his eyes. With a determined effort, Jin finally managed to sit up. Hobi swiftly offered him a glass of water, which Jin eagerly gulped down, then asked for more indicating how tired and thirsty he was. After downing another glass, Jin's voice trembled as he uttered, "What happened to me?" his confusion and concern palpable in the air.
In a blend of anger and worry, Jungkook exclaimed, "You didn't bother taking care of yourself, and look what happened – you fainted!" His words carried a sharp edge of frustration, yet beneath it, a deep-rooted concern for Jin's well-being was unmistakable.
"Woah! Calm down kid...stop scolding me...I am fine" said jin to reassure him
"You are not fine hyung... your blood levels are low and you are overworked... you need rest" said tae who was laying on his own bed
"And from now I will not let you eat the hospital's food...I'll bring lunch for you till you recover" said hobi
"Aish! It's not necessary hob-" said jin but was cut off by yoongi "Of course it is necessary and you will not work till you get well....you will take sick leave"
"But Yoong-". "No buts. What I said is final" said yoongi in a stern voice.
Jin sighed and said "Fine.. I will take sick leave happy?"
"Jin hyung... You really need to take some proper rest for a few days, or else Jungkook's gonna give you another earful," Namjoon chimed in, a mischievous glint in his eye as he teased Jungkook. "He gets pretty scary when he's angry," Namjoon added, unable to contain his grin.
Jungkook shot Namjoon a sharp glare, his eyes flashing with irritation as he retorted, "Stop teasing me, Namjoon hyung."
Namjoon gazed at him with his most innocent expression, his eyes wide and earnest as he countered, "I'm not teasing you, Jungkook... I'm just stating the truth. You really do look scary when you're angry," he emphasized the word "angry," his tone gentle yet teasing.
Jungkook's expression looked like he could throw punches at namjoon at any moment. Jungkook was really concerned for his jin hyung and seeing jin's carelessness towards his own health was making him angry. He couldn't understand why he was getting teased for it. It just didn't make sense to him.
Before jungkook could say anything jin pulled him towards himself and made him sit on his lap while saying "hey kim namjoon stop teasing my baby"
At night jimin came back from work. Since yoongi was not there, handling everyone alone at the office was very hectic for him. After knowing that jin fainted and was sick, he got mad at his brothers for not telling him anything.
Currently jimin was sulking because no one informed him about jin's condition. And he was not eating his dinner because he was angry.
(By the way they placed another bed in tae's room for jin and jin is currently sleeping due to medicines)
"Stop it Jimin just eat your dinner...we all are already very tired" said hobi getting fed up with him. He was trying for 15 minutes to convince jimin to eat.
"No!.. you all are so mean. Firstly You, namjoon hyung and jungkook get to stay with tae just after coming back from school, jin hyung and yoongi stay with him all the and I get to see him at night that too for 1 or 2 hours after that you all send me home to sleep...and now you all were here when jin hyung was sick but no one bothered to inform me....I am also your brother...I also feel like leaving all my work and staying with tae or jin hyung" said jimin while pouring out his frustration of few days.
Hearing this everyone understood jimin's feelings and felt bad for him. Hobi kept the plate aside and said "we are sorry....we should have informed you about jin hyung"
"What sorry?....I don't need your sorry...I am tired of handling everything at the office alone" said jimin finally. He wanted to Say this before but he couldn't because of the things going on
Yoongi sighed deeply and sat beside jimin, his voice tinged with self-reproach. "It's my fault," he admitted, his tone heavy with guilt and regret. "I was being immature and stubborn, neglecting my responsibilities at the office. Because of that, you ended up overworking. I'm truly sorry."
Jimin shook his head gently, offering a reassuring smile. "It's okay, hyung. I'm not complaining," he insisted, his words laced with sincerity. "I was just tired, that's all..... You can take as much leave as you need. I'll manage everything there" said jimin and he was not at all lying. He was not complaining about the extra work which he had to do because of yoongi's absense. He was complaining about not getting to stay with his twin.
"I know you're not complaining... And I know you have the capability to handle everything alone....but you also need rest so tomorrow, you stay here with Tae and Jin hyung, and I'll go to the company.... it's been so many days I didn't go to the company...I really want to go" said yoongi genuinely, showing concern for his brother
"Really?... Thankyou hyung...I really wanted to be with tae" said jimin with extreme happiness and hugged yoongi tightly. Yoongi chuckled and hugged him back.
Yoongi honestly didn't want to step foot in the office. Firstly, it was because of Tae. He couldn't bear to be away from him. But there was another reason – Minho. He regretted every harsh word he had ever spoken to him. The thought of facing Minho filled him with dread, and that's why he was avoiding going to the office altogether. The anticipation of seeing Minho tomorrow made his stomach churn with nerves.
