"Why didn't you come looking for me?" Becky asked and the question caught Freen off guard. She had thought about it so much over the last few years. So frickin' much. Yet here she was, lost for word, unable to come up with answer that might sound remotely justified.
"I almost did. A week after you left. I told myself that it was ample space and I should come looking. I knew the first place I had to look was P'Mind's house. P'Nam told me it was too soon. That I was being selfish thinking I could just waltz right back to you now and expect you to forgive me. And I realized that I had to fix myself up. I had to clean up my act before begging you for forgiveness, lest you accept it and come home to the same fucked up me..." Freen sighed, and tugged on Becky's shoulder, letting her know she can lean back against her again.
Becky did as she was signaled to.
Freen buried her lips into her hair and spoke, "God! I ruined so much for us. In a months time I got to know about Beckett and I freaked out. I couldn't come to you with that news until I had the paternity tests done. More as proof to you and everyone else, because I could feel in every cell of my body he was ours. But then it was a year and a half, and I thought to myself that you hadn't reached out to me, or to P'Nam. And I thought to myself that maybe that was it for you. Maybe you weren't coming back to me. Maybe this was what it was going to be now. All of those thoughts added to my post-partum depression, but me in a horrible place."
"That's when you started seeing a therapist..."
"Ka." Freen said and continued. "The news that you had reached out to P'Nam came to me just around the time I was finally in a better place in my head, finally off the pills."
Becky exhaled deeply and slowly then. Freen allowed herself to focus on the feeling of her body getting heavy against her front.
"Are you okay?" Freen asked her after a while.
"I am... I'm happy you're here..."
"I'm happy we're here, bebe..." Freen said in response and kissed Becky's temple. "It's more than okay... and I'm so happy Beckett is your son."
"Our son, babe..." Becky corrected.
"Ka, our son..." Freen acknowledged.
Becky then reached for Freen's hand, looking for the infinity tulips tattoo that Freen and her had gotten together as soon as they turned 18. Becky got it behind her neck, and Freen had gotten it on her wrist. She brought Freen's wrist to her lips and kissed over the little tattoo, it sent shivers down Freen's spine.
Becky then got bold, she took Freen's hand and placed it on her breast and guided her to touch her, she herself let her free hand wander back, up into Freen's hair, angling her face so that their lips could meet in a kiss.
The kiss got heated so quickly, Freen finally moved her hands of her own accord, letting Becky's other hand come up to hold on to the rim of the tub. Freen's hand boldly, yet slowly moved lower down her stomach.
"Are you okay?" Freen whispered at Becky's lips, needing to make sure Becky was okay with this.
"Touch me, babe..."
Freen let her fingers find Becky's soft folds. Becky let out a sharp exhale. That feeling. It was so familiar. Freen's touch was engraved in her brain. She knew it by-heart.
"Don't stop okay?" Becky whispered breathily against Freen's lips. Freen nodded and began to tease her folds with her fingers.
Becky felt a shock run through her body. It was familiar and new all at once. Becky could feel Freen's heart racing on her back, she could hear in Freen's breathing how much this meant to her. And it flooded her with joy that they had reached a place where this was okay now. This was going to become their new normal again. It was just like before, just like all those years ago....
*knock knock knock*
"MAMI!!!"
Came Emily's voice loud, yet with a sleepy grogginess to it from outside the bathroom door.
Becky flew ahead, away from Freen's body, Freen herself let go of Becky so quickly. Like teenagers who'd been caught.
Becky was still trying to catch her breath when she said out loud, "I'll be right out, honey. Why don't you wait for me in the bedroom?"
"Okay, Mami." Emily said, and they heard her soft footsteps fading away.
Becky turned around, and let her back rest on the other side of the tub. She let out a long exhale, finally having caught up with her breath, and looked at Freen. Her eyes were still dark, and her chest was still breathing heavy.
"You okay? She asked Freen with a slight smile.
"Ka, ka... no, yes. Just, was caught by surprise."
Becky laughed out loud then. "This is the second time Emi walking in on a situation like this."
"Well technically she didn't walk in..."
"That's for the better..." Becky said. Emily is still at an age when the idea of sharing saliva with another human being is disgusting.
"Sharing saliva na?" Freen teased. "Is that what we do?"
"Okay now I'm just grossed out!" Becky said and Freen laughed.
They were silent then.
"How soon do you need to be out?" Freen asked shamelessly, as her foot began to trace up Becky's leg.
"Oh now you don't. Freen, you know I need my time..." Becky said, sitting up straighter.
"I think I can make you come faster this time... it's been a long while for us... And I know how badly you want it..."
"No, babe!" Becky warned, even as she couldn't bring herself to stop Freen's wandering foot and teasing toes. Becky's blood rushed through her veins. The anticipation that was never satiated, growing within her again.
"We could do it really quick na..." Freen's voice dropped 2 tones lower, the bedroom Freen. That's the voice.
Becky closed her eyes as she listened to Freen's voice. Her body wanted it so bad. She didn't know when Freen moved from her place at the other side of the tub, suddenly she was leaning over her and kissing below her ear, sucking on her pulse point, a wandering hand now finding her folds between her thighs again.
Becky's reflex was to tangle her fingers in Freen's hair, her thighs moving further apart to grant Freen entrance.
"Make it quick, babe..." Becky said when Freen's finger entered her in one swift motion and she gasped in shock.
"MAMAAA!!!" came Beckett's voice from outside. "Are you back? Are you in there with Becbec? EWWWW!"
Freen's hands came up in the air, as if she'd been caught by the cops. Her body now straight, kneeling between Becky's thighs.
"Nong! Come back here! Mami said to wait in the bedroom!" came Emily's voice, seeming to have held Beckett by the hand and dragged him back towards Becky's bed.
"Okay ka... I officially think our kids hate us!" Freen said with frustration in her voice.
Becky playfully wacked her side and then took a deep breath. She was high strung. Horny. Needing release. But it wasn't going to happen now. "Stay here na. Finish your... bath... I'll rinse off in the shower, get dry and start breakfast."
"Ka..." Freen said, a tint of sadness in her voice and yet an understanding smile.
Becky got out, leaned in to place a soft kiss on Freen's lips, and then grabbed a towel and stepped into the shower. Freen watched through the frosted glass as Becky rinsed off any remnants of soap on her, dried herself off, put on some inner wear, picked up a robe put it on, and walked out.
Freen sighed, took a deep breath and slipped into the water completely.

"Emi and Fin did what?!" came Nam's exclamation after Freen narrated to her what happened in the morning.
Freen told her about everything that happened that night, about all that they spoke about, about how far they've come now, and how the kids chose the right moment to come knocking on her bathroom door.
"They have impeccable timing, both of them!!"
Nam laughed. "I swear!"
"But I'm not feeling too bad. I anyway couldn't wait for Beckett to wake up, I missed him so much while I was away."
"Uhh! Mothers..!"
"Oi... you'll know once you have a kid of your own, P'Nam." Freen told Nam.
"Tiirak ka, Freen suggesting we have kids na..." Nam spoke to Mind who may have been sitting right next to her.
"She wants more little ones to walk in on her sharing saliva with my sister?" Mind asked, feigning horror.
Freen laughed.
"But you know... given that you and Becky are finally working towards fixing everything now, maybe you two should get out of the city together for a while. Leave the kids here with us na... or with Khun Mae and Khun Phom. I'm sure they wouldn't mind that for a week." Nam said, a little more seriously.
"As much as we could use the privacy, I'm not sure how Becky would react to a suggestion like that. I mean, she did freak out when we tried to be intimate with each other last night..."
"But then she also let you get between her legs in a bathtub!"
"Oi! Why do you have to be so outright, phi?" Freen said even as she could hear Mind laughing behind Nam.
"What?? I'm saying it like it is..." Nam said.
"Anyway, all I'm saying is, maybe I should wait a while before suggesting we go on a vacation together."
"Dai ka, but give it some thought na. Maybe talk to Becky about it, tell her you'd like to do something like that in the near future. I know someone who knows someone whose cousin owns a Toscana Valley's place in Khao Yai that's maintained really well. And he doesn't mind lending it to friends for staycations."
"Wow... I've never been more proud of your networking skills." Freen said. "Thanks P'Nam, I'll let you know na?"
"Okay ka.. got to go now, the girlfriend's getting impatient...."
"I don't even want to ask for what. Baay!" Freen said with laughter and cut the call.

It was noon. Beckett was fast asleep in his room. They had done breakfast at Becky's place itself. Beckett was clinging to Freen like his life depended on it. He's missed her so much, and Freen had missed him too. So she decided she needed a day of Beckett time.
Just her and him at home. He may have gotten overwhelmed with all that time spent in another home. However much Becky and Emily made him feel at home and comfortable.
Freen went back up to his room, and snuggled in with him. She kissed his forehead and he wiggled a little in his sleep. That's when Freen got a text on her phone.

Freen smiled to herself and replied.

Freen replied. And just as she hit send, she was alerted of a message from an unknown number.

Hi, Khun Freen. This is Baifern na ka. Mei's birthday's coming up, and we're passing by your neighborhood this evening, she insists she wants to drop by to personally invite Beckett for her party. Just checking in to see if you'll be home?
Freen thought about it. She thought about this real hard. Was Seng going to come too? Or would it be just Baifern and Mei. Then she thought about the discussion she had with Becky about how their past shouldn't affect Beckett's friendship and social life.

Freen kept her phone away and closed her eyes, she'll talk to Becky, let her know beforehand that they're coming over. It'll be fine.

Freen and Beckett were just done with dinner, when Becky knocked. Beckett ran to get it.
"BECBEC!" He exclaimed and hugged her knees.
"Hey my little Beckbeck! Missed me na?"
Freen walked into the hallway wiping her hands on a napkin.
"You had him for a whole week! I don't understand how one day could make him miss you..." Freen said.
"You don't understand the special bond we share, na ka baby?" Becky said, carrying Beckett in her arms and kissing his cheek.
"Kub!"
Becky laughed and put him back down.
"Baby ka, why don't you go clear up the toys in the living room. Mei's going to be here soon na?" Freen said and Beckett rushed to the living room.
Before Freen could explain anything to Becky, she felt Becky's sweet lips meet her own and a gentle soft "Hi!" breathed against her lips.
Freen stood there stunned. They were doing hello kisses now. Wow. They've reached there. She couldn't move or say anything.
"Oh come on, I've given you better kisses than that one!"
Freen finally laughed. "You have, you just caught me by surprise is all."
"Get used to it na." Becky said. Then she raised the bag in her hand letting Freen know she bought wine.
"Aww...? I already had wine, why did you buy a new bottle?"
"Wanted a specific one..." Becky said with a glint in her eyes. Freen smiled giddily. She took the bag from Becky's hand, then took her hand in her own and led her to the kitchen.
"I got to talk to you about something before we get to the wine." Freen said.
"Ka, sure, what is it? I heard you tell Beckett something about Mei coming over?" Becky asked.
"Cai... about that. Khun Baifern texted me, they're coming over to give us an invitation for Mei's birthday party."
"They're?"
"I know Khun Baifern and Mei are coming, I don't know if..."
"Okay..."
"I just wanted to let you know, in case he does turn up, so that you're mentally prepared."
"Ka, makes sense." Becky said, deep in thought.
Freen walked up to her, getting into her personal space. Caressing her cheek with her hand. "We talked about this na ka? We won't let our past stop Beckett from having a friend. He really admires her company."
Becky nodded. "Cai ka, of course. I know."
"Are you okay?"
"I'll be fine." Becky said with a smile. Placing her hand over Freen's to reassure her that she's okay.
"We don't even have to entertain them long, they'll be gone before you know it, and you and I can get to our glasses of wine and..." Freen said, her voice falling a few tones deeper, her lips drawing closer to Becky's.
"And...?"
"And we can make love on our couch..."
"Ummm..." Becky made a face. "I was hoping we'd reach our bedroom."
Freen's heart felt warm, Becky was finally referring to this place as her own. Now all that's left was for her to move back in, for them to start this family the way it should be.
"We can make love wherever you'd like, bebe..." Freen teased, nuzzling her nose against Becky's.
"Even here on the kitchen counter?"
"Even here.." Freen said with laughter in her tone.
A knock on the door interrupted them.
"THEY'RE HERE!" Beckett squealed as she ran towards the door.
"Baby! Wait na!" Freen said as she ran towards him. Becky got up off the bar stool she was sitting at and stood by in the hallway.
Baifern greeted Freen with a hug and behind her was Seng. He simply waved with a "Hi" as they entered in, Mei holding his hand.
"Come on in..." Freen said. "Beckett ka, why don't you show Mei your room."
Beckett didn't need to be asked twice. He grabbed her hand and they ran upstairs.
"Don't run on the stairs, baby!" Becky called out after them. And that's when both Baifern and Seng noticed Becky there.
"Khun Becky! It's good to see you again!" Baifern said. Becky smiled. Seng acknowledged her with a curt nod.
"It's nice to see you two together again na. You'll are... dating?" Baifern asked carefully.
"Something like that..." Freen began to say when Becky interrupted.
"Ka, Freen's my girlfriend."
While it filled Freen's heart to hear Becky talk about her like that, it also worried her if Becky's over-possessive side was beginning to show again.
"That's wonderful news na! The both of you should come for Mei's party. We'd love to have you'll there." Baifern said as she handed the invite to Freen.
"Wait, isn't it like a kid's only thing?"
"Mai cai... actually, we've invited some of the parents and friends over too. We're having it at our new house and it would also be alike a house warming party, and we'd love to have you'll there na!"
"That's... great! Wow congratulations na ka!" Freen said and Baifern beamed with joy.
There was an awkward silence then and Becky spoke up, "Can I get you anything, Khun? Water? Something to eat?"
"Oh no, thank you na ka. We should be getting on our way now, we were just passing by in the neighborhood and thought we might as well come by."
Just then Beckett and Mei came downstairs holding hands, swinging them along.
"Come on baby, it's time to say goodnight to Beckett. We got to get home." Seng said.
The kids aid goodbye. Becky once again waved bye to them as they left, coming to stand beside Freen, and putting an arm around her waist, pulling her into her side.
"Thanks na, for the invite." Becky said to them.
"Hope we'll see you two there." Seng said and left.
