𝐇ᴇʀ 𝐓ʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs 𝐖ᴇʀᴇ 𝐍ᴏᴡ 𝐒ᴏʟᴇʟʏ 𝐎ɴ 𝐄ʟɪᴊᴀʜ...

While watching Rebekah and Gabriel not saying anything to each other but letting their eyes speak instead, she remembered the day of her and Elijah's encounter.

By the Angel Raziel!

Gabriel was the next after her and met his soulmate, who was her own soulmate's sister!

She wondered who Fate had chosen for Nathaniel...

And speak of the Devil!

"Gabe!" He drew his brother's attention off the Original. "Don't you have someone else to greet?" He nodded towards their sister with a pointed look, which made the middle Bloodwood release Rebekah's hand - the blonde already missing his warmth on her skin.

Gabriel slowly walked up to his little sister, his heart tightening upon witnessing the sadness and slight disappointment in her eyes.

He stood before her, raising his hand to caress her cheek and once he did so, a trembling yet relieved sigh escaped his mouth and he brought her in his arms, their eyes closing simultaneously.

"Δεν μπορώ να πιστέψω ότι σε κρατάω στην αγκαλιά μου," he whispered in her ear and tightened his hold on her as tears wetted both of their cheeks. [I can't believe that I'm actually holding you in my arms.]

Alexandra sniffled. "Ούτε γω." She hid her face in his chest, having missed his scent terribly. [Me neither.]

Rebekah on the one hand was rather moved while watching the siblings in such a heartwarming scene, but on the other hand, she felt her stomach doing flips as she heard her soulmate speaking in his Cretan dialect, not caring for not understanding what he and his sister were saying.

"I want to give something to you both," the sister muttered softly and pulled away from her brother before wiping her tears with the back of her hand.

"What?" Wondered the oldest brother.

The Bloodwood lady let a small beam take over her quivering lips before throwing a punch straight to Nathaniel's eye and using her elbow to hit Gabriel's eye as well, both males falling to the ground with loud, painful grunts.

Rebekah's eyes widened as she let out a gasp of surprise.

Ocean-blue eyes met umber-brown ones and Alexandra quipped, "Family drama is not only a Mikaelson thing. Us Bloodwoods have our dramas as well."

"I guess we deserved that," grunted Gabriel, quietly.

"I think we deserved a lot worse than just a black eye," replied Nathaniel, in the same way.

"Who are you calling?" Questioned the blonde as she watched the brunette across her pressing her phone to her ear, eyeing the two brothers in worry - and who? Rebekah Mikaelson!

"A very good friend of mine," answered the female Nephilim as she expected Bonnie to respond. "I believe we have a ghost problem."

"Alexa!" The Bennett witch finally replied, her voice laced with utter relief. "You have no idea how right on time you are! We have a problem."

"Has Vicki Donovan magically come back to life?" She went straight to the point, causing her brothers' eyes to widen and the Original to frown.

"How do you know!?"

"A magical letter suddenly appeared in my house," informed the Shadowhunter, picking the paper up from the marble floor and reading it again. "It's Vicki, Bonnie. I'm certain of it."

"And you're doing good by being certain of that," mumbled Bonnie, breathless. "Matt just called me and admitted that he was the one who actually brought her back! Vicki told him the spell, which she was told by the witch who was helping her all along!"

"Wait, Matt!?" Exclaimed Alexandra, in shock. "He knows-?"

"Yeah!" Her brothers simultaneously replied, both holding their aching eyes.

Overcoming the shock, she continued, "Yes, the letter mentions a witch, here." She looked in the direction of Rebekah, a certain thought crossing both their minds. "Bonnie, you must stop her! Otherwise, Elena will die!"

"I know! I'm heading there right now, I'll see what I can do."

"Bonnie!" The half-Cretan stopped her before she could hang up, not breaking her eye contact with her brother's soulmate. "Before you send her back, I want you to tell her that I have a message for that witch..."

𝐓ᴡᴏ 𝐇ᴏᴜʀs 𝐋ᴀᴛᴇʀ...

Gabriel and Nathaniel were sitting in the kitchen, enjoying themselves with some Whiskey and a frozen package of peas over their now black eye.

"I told you that I knew something that could replace ice packs," said the dirty-blond half-Cretan and raised his glass towards his brother.

"Yeah, because you were always the immature one," the younger Shadowhunter rolled his eyes.

The older Bloodwood laughed and shook his head. "Yeah, I guess I was." His laughter fainted and he looked over Gabriel before pointing first at his own black eye and then his brother's. "I think we should not heal this time. It's the least we can do for what we did to her."

The brown-haired male nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, I agree." He used his sleeve to wipe his sweat off his forehead and placed his frozen package over his chest. "God, why is it so hot in here?"

Nathaniel's mind worked fast to remember what Alexandra was feeling every time Elijah was around and his eyes snapped directly to the door, detecting Rebekah's half-hidden figure behind the wall.

The Original wasn't looking at them, she was only eavesdropping on their conversation, so she did not take heed of the older brother's awareness of her presence there.

"Hey, blondie!" He called out for her, making her freeze due to being caught, her cheeks heavily flushed as she locked eyes with her newly-encountered soulmate. "You can join us if you like, you don't have to stand there all alone."

"I have a name," she diverted the subject, voice and expression serious as she walked over to them, trying very hard to hide her shyness.

"And I have eyes," pointed out Nathaniel and stood up from his seat, placing the frozen peas back in the freezer. "I could easily see you there. But even if I couldn't..." He went to leave the kitchen but halted for a moment as he turned his head to face her. "We're Shadowhunters. We can sense when a vampire as powerful as you is around."

He walked off, leaving the destined duo alone in their awkwardness.

"Is he always acting like that or... he just doesn't like me?" Rebekah spoke first, breaking the silence.

The middle Bloodwood chuckled and downed his drink. "We're Cretans. We rarely let ourselves open around strangers." He noticed that the word 'strangers' seemed to unnerve her and he proceeded to change that. "But if we get to know them... everything changes."

"In what way?" Half-smiled the Original and took a seat across him.

"It depends," worded Gabriel, using his throatier voice. "For example, I might not have met your paranoid brother, but once I see him, I really want to beat his arse for taking my sister away for so long."

Rebekah didn't say anything on that matter, knowing how sibling love worked. But she did ask about her other brother, "And what of Elijah? What of him?"

He didn't reply immediately.

"I haven't met him, either... but as long as Alex is safe and happy with him, I... I guess I'm okay with that."

"Even if it is due to their Soulmate Bond...?"

"Alex is a big girl," mumbled the half-Cretan. "She can control her emotions just fine. I will not get involved with their Soulmate Bond. Unless..."

"Unless?" Queried the blonde. "What?"

His face took the most severe expression he could master.

"Unless he breaks her heart," he drawled, threateningly, causing the vampire to bite her lips hard, her urges one step away from taking the best of her.

While upstairs...

Nathaniel entered his sister's bedroom, finding her sitting on her bed and speaking on the phone with someone while fingering the necklace Elijah had gotten for her.

"Okay, Lexi," she smiled through the phone. "Thank you so much."

"You don't have to thank me. Dealing with a non-humanity Stefan Salvatore is what I do. Tell his girlfriend I'll be there by morning."

"I will... Have a nice night and... we might cross paths tomorrow, who knows...?"

"Yeah... I'm glad you're okay, Alexandra."

Her smile got wider. "Thank you."

"Who were you talking to?" Asked Nathaniel once she hung up.

"Lexi Branson," replied Alexandra and set her phone aside. "She's an old friend of Stefan Salvatore. And uh... she's the only one who knows how to restore his humanity. She's done it like... fifty times in the past." When he hummed and closed the door, she spoke again, "I see you didn't heal your eye... Why?"

"We decided to not heal this time," sighed the brother and shoved his hands into his pockets. "We... deserved it."

"You did," the sister bit her lip and didn't meet his eyes as he crawled into her bed, laying beside her.

"Are you going to forgive us?" He batted his eyelashes, giving her a puppy-eyed look. "Hmm?"

She looked at him and she couldn't help but giggle, shaking her head.

"I've already forgiven you, idiot."

He moved faster than she expected and squeezed her in his strong arms, spreading kisses whenever he could just like when they were young...

𝐓ʜᴇ 𝐍ᴇxᴛ 𝐌ᴏʀɴɪɴɢ

𝐎ʟᴅ 𝐖ɪᴛᴄʜ 𝐇ᴏᴜsᴇ.

Sheila practically demanded Nathaniel and Gabriel let Alexandra come to the Old Witch House with her, Bonnie and Caroline, so she and Bonnie could perform the spell that would send all the (probably) released ghosts back to the Other Side.

John Gilbert may have been able to speak with his nephew, but he couldn't be seen by anyone else or was able to touch and move anything.

Yesterday, all that changed.

He appeared in the Boarding House and didn't hesitate to show Damon how angry he was with him, for many reasons.

The first thing Damon did this morning, was to find Bonnie and tell her to fix this.

The Forbes and Bennett ladies were long ahead of Sheila and Alexandra, which gave the older Bennett a perfect opportunity to ask the Nephilim whatever she wished.

"So, how did Klaus manage to keep you unharmed while he had Elijah daggered?" She quietly asked her, making her frown.

"I-I thought you and Bonnie did something," whispered the Shadowhunter. "That's why I wasn't surprised when I appeared in Elijah's in-between."

"You were with him all this time!?" Queried the witch, in utter shock.

"Yeah..." Nodded the Bloodwood lady. "If it wasn't you and Bonnie, then... who was?"

"Hey, what are you two doing back there?"

Bonnie's voice gained their attention.

"Come on, we're here."

She turned around and kept walking with Caroline.

"We'll speak of this another time," said the older Bennett witch, decisively, before taking Alexandra's hand and following her granddaughter.

They entered the house and then began descending some stairs before Caroline addressed Bonnie, "So, this is where you brought Jeremy back to life?"

"Yeah," exhaled the younger witch, not very pleased with her boyfriend lately. "Sorry, I know it's creepy, but we needed a private place around here to do the spell."

"Every old building has a story to say, honey," stated Sheila. "Now, either it is good or bad... it's a whole new other conversation."

"There's no chance it's haunted by the hundred dead witches who were horrifically burned to death in this very spot, is there?" The blonde nervously laughed.

"They're not here anymore," her friend informed her. "And they made it clear they were never coming back."

"Right," nodded Caroline and took a step further. "You pinkie swear?"

"There is nothing to be frightened of, here, Care," Alexandra smiled reassuringly at her, which calmed her down. She then turned to Bonnie, "As for you, Brownie, you were warned. Bringing someone back to life has very similar consequences to taking it away. There is always a price."

"What's done, is done," toned Sheila and waved her hand over some candles, causing them to light up in a millisecond. "Now, we must focus on this spell and send any loose ghosts away for good."

"Any idea of what could really have happened, Mrs. Sheila?" The Forbes lady crossed her hands, in nervousness. "I mean, Jeremy has been seeing Vicki and his Uncle for a very long time, but neither of them could be seen by anyone else or do anything. Then, Vicki was brought back to life by Matt, that's how she almost barbequed Elena and Stefan. No one brought John back to life, how on Earth could he attack Damon this morning!?"

"Well, if I were to hazard a guess..." She handed her granddaughter the Grimoire before kneeling down across from her. "I would say that when Vicki Donovan was sent back, something or someone from the Other Side kept the door between the two worlds open."

"The witch who aided her to get here," said the Nephilim, with every confidence.

The older Bennett nodded her head and turned to look at her granddaughter. "Ready?"

"I'm ready," nodded Bonnie and they joined hands, their eyes closing simultaneously as they started chanting the spell.

As their chanting grew louder, a breeze began to blow through the place when it turned into a strong wind, causing everything to move like an Earthquake was taking place.

"I don't like this," Caroline confessed, in utter worry.

"Don't worry, Caroline, I will not let anything happen to none of you," assured the half-Cretan, her eyes not abandoning the two witches.

Out of nowhere, someone grabbed the Bennetts' hands and the duo stopped chanting as they opened their eyes, only to feel them wide upon recognizing the woman before them.

"Oh, my God!" Breathed the blonde of the group. "Is that-?"

"Emily?" Gasped Bonnie.

"Emily?" Frowned Alexandra. "Like Emily Bennett? Your ancestor!?"

The ghost turned her head to face her with a smile on her face, letting go of her descendants' hands. "It's good to finally meet you, Alexandra Bloodwood. Us Bennetts, have been looking after your bloodline for almost two thousand years."

"Emily..." Bonnie drew her attention and her smile disappeared.

"You've made a very serious mess, Bonnie," stated Emily. "The witches told you there'd be consequences to bringing your lover back to life and you ignored them."

"I didn't have a choice, Emily!" The youngest Bennett cried. "I love him and I... I couldn't just let him go."

"The things we do for love, right?" Grinned their ancestor, sadly. "But your Grandmother's assumption was right; the door to the Other Side is now open because of that. There's an old witch, there. She's very powerful. She took advantage of it and of you, Bonnie. When you performed the spell to send Vicki Donovan back, the witch kept the door wide open, allowing anyone with unfinished business here, to pass freely."

"How do you know this?" Questioned the granddaughter.

"Witches talk, honey," smirked Sheila, locking eyes with Emily.

"Even on the Other Side?" Breathed Caroline, shocked.

The ghost glanced in her direction, smiling wickedly. "Who do you think makes all the rules?"

"What does the witch want?" The youngest Bennett heir raised another question.

Emily turned serious. "That's not of your concern. The Original Vampires must deal with this..." She trailed off and let her eyes shift in the direction of the Nephilim. "And you." She finished, making the brunette gulp.

"What do you mean?" Asked the only vampire in the room before her friend could.

The dead witch rose to her feet, walking up to Alexandra and halting her footsteps once she stood before her. "I think it is better if you heard it from the source."

The half-Cretan frowned. "Wha-?"

Emily touched her forehead and the half-celestial's eyes rolled back to her head as she collapsed on the dirty ground, unconscious.

"What did you do to her!?" Exclaimed Caroline and went immediately by her friend's side, Bonnie following her action.

"She must learn what she's dealing with at first hand, Caroline," replied the oldest servant of nature and then looked at her descendant. "Bonnie... You must not get involved with the Original Vampires, especially with that witch. She will try and draw power from our bloodline, and you two-" She waved her finger between her and Sheila. "must not let this happen. Us Bennetts have always protected the Bloodwoods and we continue to do so. Now, the reason for my arrival here is simple. I shall offer you my guidance and you will correct the mistake you've made and upset the balance of nature. That door must close at any cost, Bonnie. And you must be the one who closes it."

"How exactly are we going to do that?" The grandmother stepped forward.

"The witch is using her talisman to draw power from this side," informed Emily.

"Wait, isn't that Elena's necklace?" Queried the Bennett girl and looked at her grandmother.

"And a very evil witch's too, sweetheart," added Sheila and faced her ancestor. "So, what? Do we have to destroy it?"

The dead woman's expression went blank. "That's precisely what Bonnie must do."

𝐓ʜᴇ 𝐎ᴛʜᴇʀ 𝐒ɪᴅᴇ.

Alexandra awoke and found herself in a forest.

Not a usual forest, no.

She knew that she was in another dimension.

The air was filled with sorrow and loneliness that could reach even her bones.

The colours of the atmosphere were not light, the sun was nonexistent and it was cold, even for her.

She slowly stood up from the ground and dusted her clothes off.

Where had Emily Bennett sent her...?

"My God, you look just like her..."

A female voice behind her whispered and Alexandra let out a yelp as she whirled around to face the owner of the voice.

It was a middle-aged chocolate-skinned woman, with brown eyes and black hair, that looked similar to dreads. She wore a reddish-brown dress and a necklace with medium-sized beads.

"Who are you?" Enquired the Nephilim, alarmed.

"You look just like her," repeated the woman and drew nearer to the heavenly creature, who took a step back.

"Who?" Breathed the brunette. "Who are you? Do I know you?"

"You don't know me, but I certainly know you," smiled the older female, who Alexandra sensed was a witch. A very powerful witch.

The Bloodwood heir froze for a moment, a lightning thought crossing her mind but it disappeared as fast.

That woman could not be Esther...

"I'm Ayana," the witch finally revealed her identity. "I come from the Bennett bloodline. I am actually the one who mentored the witch who's currently causing trouble to you and your friends."

The Bloodwood female's eyes widened. "You know Esther?" The woman nodded. "So, you know of what she's capable of."

"I do," sighed Ayana. "And I must tell you to tread carefully, dear. She's a very powerful witch and if she puts something on her mind, then nothing can stop her."

"You said that I looked alike with someone..." She changed the subject once she remembered the moment. "Who were you referring to?"

The Bennett woman beamed.

"Angelique."

"Angelique?" Repeated the angelic beauty, remembering the name directly. "My ancestor?"

The dark-skinned female raised her eyebrows in astonishment. "You do know your history."

"Not really," she admitted. "Elijah merely mentioned her and told me of our relation."

"Elijah..." Mused Ayana and pursed her lips happily. "What a fine young man he was."

"What do you mean 'was'?" Wondered Alexandra, brow-knitted. "You don't consider him 'fine' enough, now?"

The witch's expression fell. "A lot changed after he and his siblings were turned into vampires. I had warned their parents when they asked me to perform the Immortality Spell, that nature would act against them if that spell was done. That was the reason I declined them my assistance. But... Esther acted on her own and turned her own children into immortal beasts before she suppressed her son's werewolf side with a curse."

"Klaus'..." Whispered the brunette. "I thought the Immortality Spell was her invention."

"No, honey," the black-haired woman shook her head. "That spell was created by the very first Bennett witch, and as the bloodline carried on, so the knowledge of that spell was passed on. After her youngest son's death, Esther and Mikael were determined to not let another child Klaus'..." Whispered the brunette. "I thought the Immortality Spell was her invention."of theirs die. They had already lost two of them, so they wished to make the rest of them unkillable and with skills that would overpower the ones of a werewolf."

"And what will she succeed if she kills my friend, the doppelgänger and stop her son from creating more hybrids? Why, would she try and kill me!? I'm her son's soulmate! She's responsible that my soul is linked with Elijah's- She's responsible that Rebekah's soul is linked with my brother's!"

"I'm afraid I am not aware of her current motives," Ayana pursed her lips. "But I can warn you of what she's capable of doing and many other things. But, I believe it's preferable if I told you more about... your Soulmate Bond with Elijah."

Alexandra took a step closer to her.

"I would truly appreciate that, to be honest."

Nathaniel had come and acquired his sister's unconscious body from the house, almost four hours ago.

Bonnie was now igniting the fireplace and the candles above it with a wave of her hand and her grandmother smirked proudly from the other side of the room, both of them awaiting Jeremy to bring them Elena's necklace.

Footsteps were heard descending the stairs rapidly before the young lad's voice followed, "Bonnie!"

He entered and walked over to his girlfriend, in utter regret. She shouldn't have learned the truth about him and Vicki.

He showed her the necklace, hoping to erase the cold look on her face but it didn't do anything.

She had just found out that while she was gone during the summer, and Jeremy had just started seeing Vicki and his Uncle, he didn't hesitate to give his dead girlfriend a goodbye kiss... or two.

The witch took it from him and threw it in the fireplace and started chanting.

The Gilbert boy didn't perceive Sheila's presence in the room and got startled when she walked past him to join her granddaughter in casting the spell.

"You are a very strong witch, Bonnie," Emily appeared and saw the necklace now entirely melted. "But keep in mind that by trying to break any of the Soulmate Bonds between the Bloodwoods and the Originals, you will breed more consequences than good."

And with that, she disappeared, for the spell had worked perfectly, leaving behind a beyond bewildered Sheila and a pursed-mouthed Bonnie.

𝐎ʟᴅ 𝐋ᴏᴄᴋᴡᴏᴏᴅ 𝐂ᴇʟʟᴀʀ.

Damon and Rose were sitting in silence, waiting for Alexandra to arrive since Alaric had adamantly declined to go and help him.

The older vampire was so bewildered by her newly developing feelings towards the Salvatore male and started feeling awful every time she brought a certain memory of them to her mind...

𝐒ᴀʟᴠᴀᴛᴏʀᴇ 𝐁ᴏᴀʀᴅɪɴɢ 𝐇ᴏᴜsᴇ

𝐀 𝐂ᴏᴜᴘʟᴇ 𝐎ғ 𝐌ᴏɴᴛʜs 𝐁ᴀᴄᴋ.

"I don't understand why you're still here," said Damon while pouring them some Bourbon. "I mean you're free, Klaus is not your problem anymore. Why would you come back and not travel the world with Trevor and live your life?"

Rose sighed and put on a sad smile. "Because the reason of me and Trevor being free and alive, is Alexandra. That girl gave us a roof when we had nowhere to go. She gave us the only thing we needed to walk under the sunlight without getting burned, and she barely knew us!" She let out an impressed chuckle. "And instead of blackmailing us to do something for her in return so she would not send us away or just expose us to the sun and kill us, she only asked us to be there and help her friends in case she couldn't. And now, Klaus has her and... I don't even know if she's alive or not, I... I feel like I owe it to her. To be here and help you now that she's not here."

The Salvatore firstborn just stood there and observed her in awe, with their drinks in hand.

"You're a good friend, Rosebud," he finally spoke and handed her her alcohol before joining her on the couch. "I'm giving you that." She smiled and he took a sip of his Bourbon, facing down at his glass.

The older vampire noticed the sadness in his face and quickly processed to change that, not forgetting that trying and be friends with him, was the second thing Alexandra had asked her to do after calling Jonas Martin to confirm his identity almost two months ago.

"I could be your friend too, Damon," she told him, quietly, earning a surprised look from him. "I mean... if you want me to."

Damon was looking at her for a while, trying to think of a reason for him to deserve someone like Rose by his side.

"To be honest... I could use a friend right now," he finally admitted, seeing the grin appearing on the female's lips.

It wasn't like he had no friends, he had Alaric.

But Alaric didn't always see eye to eye with him and then it was Jenna, he couldn't have all the time he wanted with him.

They clinked their glasses and drank.

After spending a long time drinking, the younger immortal could say that he was one step away from calling himself 'drunk'.

"I'm not going to be a good friend you know," he murmured and took a big sip of the bottle he was holding.

Rosemarie frowned. "Why do you say that?"

"Because I might put my needs above yours, sometimes," he confessed and finished the bottle. "Especially if I'm heartbroken."

"Well, I might put my needs over yours too, sometime, who knows?"

"Why are you so willing to be my friend? Only because Hotness told you to do so?"

"No, not only for that."

"Then, why?" He turned his head to the side, gazing at her beautiful features.

"Because I like you," admitted Rose. "I believe in friendship. I happen to have a vacancy in that department, and you can use all the friends you can get."

He moved closer to her and used his erotic voice as he glanced down at her lips. "Just friends?"

The female creature of the night perceived his aroused state and replied in the same tone as his, "Just friends."

Damon leaned forward and joined their lips, feeling her returning his kiss after a moment.

"Are you sure you can do that?" He queried after they broke away.

"I don't love men who love other women," stated the five-hundred-year-old woman. "I think more of myself than that, but that doesn't mean I can't be your special friend whenever you need me to be. As long as we don't catch feelings for each other."

They laughed.

"Agreed," told her, Damon, before placing his lips over hers once again.

Rose didn't sleep with him that night, no matter how badly Damon's drunken self wanted to and the next morning, he actually thanked her for that.

But what tormented her more now, was that she herself had broken her promise and started to have feelings for him.

She had never fallen in love truly, and now that she was free to live, her heart realized that it was free to take action too and let someone enter it.

She hated to admit that that someone was Damon Salvatore.

"Cat got your tongue?"

Her head snapped in his direction, at her immediate right.

"W-what?"

"What's bothering you and you're not even listening to what I'm saying?"

She evaded his wondering gaze. "Nothing important."

"Rosebud..." He put his finger under her chin and turned her head, finding her eyes. "Don't lie to me. Tell me, what is it?"

"Well... I guess I can't avoid it forever," she nervously laughed and stood up, twiddling her thumbs in anticipation. She took a deep breath. "So, here it goes..." She turned around and looked at him. "I think... I kinda fell for you."

Damon gaped upon hearing that and stood up as well, not breaking their eye contact.

"Rose..." He began, finding it beyond hard to speak. "We talked about this... remember? We're not supposed to catch feelings."

"You don't think I know that, Damon!?" She threw her hands in the air. "I was the one who told you that I don't love men who love other women, and that's exactly what I did!" Her eyes glistened. "I couldn't control it, alright?"

Sadness clouded the Salvatore male's face.

When he went to speak, Rosemarie didn't let him, "No, you know what? We'll pretend that nothing happened. Like I never told you about it. I'll find myself somewhere else to stay too, so you won't feel any discomfort when you're around me." She wiped her tears off her eyes and started walking up to the cellar's exit. "Tell Alexandra I shall visit her soon."

"Rose, no, wait!" He was fast to grip her arms and stop her. "Look, I didn't want to make you feel bad, I was just... shocked. I expected to hear everything from you, but not this... You were the one who clarified that we would be friends as long as we didn't fall for each other. And... since you already knew what I feel about... you know who... I never imagined that someone like you would actually fall for someone like me."

His hand moved up to her face, stroking her wet skin gently.

"And now, what?" Whispered Rosemarie. "What friends will we be if I have feelings for you and you have feelings only for our common friend?"

She didn't expect him to say this...

"Who said that I have feelings only for her?"

Ice-blue eyes met light-green ones instantly and Damon leaned down to kiss her but a certain someone ceased his action.

"Well, well, well..."

Their heads snapped in the direction of the known voice and they found a smirking Alexandra leaning against the wall with her arms crossed around herself. "It appears that I'm here earlier and not later as I thought."

The male vampire cleared his throat and beckoned her to come closer. "Finally, you're here. Come, we need your help."

"And what, pray tell, am I doing here at this hour in the night?" Questioned the half-mundane and walked into the cellar further, holding her ᴡɪᴛᴄʜʟɪɢʜᴛ out to light her way inside the cellar.

"What are you holding?" Wondered Rosemarie with her brows knitted together, not sure if she was seeing a tiny torch in the Shadowhunter's hand or something else.

"This is my Witchlight," responded the half-Cretan. "It glows only in the hands of Shadowhunters. It reminds us that it will bring us light, even among the darkest shadows of this world... and others." [1].

"You don't say," mumbled Damon, impressed. "Now, come on, I need you to get into this cave, here."

"What is this cave?" Frowned the Bloodwood lady. "I've never seen it before."

"No one has," said the short-haired brunette.

"Yeah, because it was sealed with a brick wall for years and years and years, and no one knew of its existence," explained the male immortal.

"And why, don't you go in by yourself?" The youngest person of the three addressed the Salvatore firstborn before feigning surprise. "Oh! Don't tell me you're scared?"

"Haha, very funny," he rolled his eyes when he heard Rose snorting from behind. "No, Hotness. I need someone non-vampire to get in the cave, and other than your Uncle, who's still pretty pissed with me, you're the only one I trust."

"Oh, thank you," joked Alexandra before turning serious. "Alright, first things first... How did you learn about this cave? Do we at least know what's in there?"

"Long story short," Damon wounded his arm around her shoulders, his smirk evident. "John Gilbert became useful for once in his life and learned quite the things on the Other Side. Apparently, there is a way to kill an Original... permanently."

Alexandra's breath hitched upon hearing that and thankfully his phone rang with continuous notifications and he didn't notice her heart skipping a beat... or two.

But Rose did.

"It's Blondie," informed the male. "I have seven missed calls from her, something must've happened with Lexi and Stefan. I'm going out for a minute and I'll be right back, alright? You go in."

He walked off and the two women were now alone.

Thank the Angel, this place has no signal.

"You have to tell him, sometime," the undead female said quietly. "That way he won't want to kill the Originals."

"I know," sighed the Nephilim and took a deep breath. "But I also know that learning the truth will break him. I've already hurt his feelings by denying his love, I can't even imagine how he will react if he learns that I'm destined to be with a man he despises."

"And that the signs of your Bond with him have already started to show," added Rose, lowering her tone more and more. "Do you want me to start making some more innuendos about you and Elijah?"

"Some more?" Whispered the half-mundane, in shock.

"Yeah," hummed the older woman, with pursed lips. "John Gilbert made the start when he guided him here."

"Oh, God," groaned the Bloodwood heir. "I've always hated that man."

"So, do you want me to? It's no trouble," offered the undead female.

"Thank you, Rosemarie. But I think I'll need something different than mere implications, that will only anger him. Let alone, he will start thinking that you are trying to distract his attention from me, so he could pay more attention to you." She looked at her, pointedly. "Specifically now that he knows how you feel about him."

Rose smirked. "I thought I was pretty good at hiding it."

"No one can hide his affections for someone easily, Rosemarie," beamed Alexandra and bit her lower lip. "Not even me."
