"What the bloody hell just happened?" Rebekah was the first one to speak. "How did she do that!?"

"I doubt it was Alexandra's doing," muttered Klaus, totally bewildered. "She was heavily injured, she couldn't do anything in that state." He pulled the girl's Stele out of his pocket and showed it to his sister. "Especially when I'm the one who holds the only thing that could actually heal her."

"Then, how do you explain it?" The blonde raised her voice, in nervousness.

"The light that nearly blinded us, was rather powerful," noted the hybrid. "I believe that another Shadowhunter is behind this. Someone strong."

"Her family perhaps?" Suggested Rebekah.

"And did not show up to beat the hell out of me?" He raised his eyebrow. "Highly doubtful, sister. I may be stronger now but if a Bloodwood decided to teach me a lesson for kidnapping Alexandra, I would only be recognized by my bloody teeth."

"Isn't it a little dangerous to proceed with the Purity Trial while she's unconscious?"

Sister Dolores turned her head towards her fellow Iron Sister's direction. "The Trial must be done at any cost, Sister Magdalena. We must know if Alexandra Bloodwood's blood is tainted with demonic impurities, otherwise, she cannot enter the Citadel and we cannot provide her with our assistance." Magdalena sighed deeply, concern written all over her face - the older Iron Sister noticed that. She drew nearer her and lowered her voice, "Look... I know you're worried about her due to the bond you used to share with her before you became one of us. Your brother made his choice to become her Godfather before joining the Silent Brothers and naturally, you got attached to Alexandra. But now, you're an Iron Sister, and it's your duty to follow the protocol."

Magdalena nodded her head, knowing that the elder beside her was quite right.

"Get her in the water," ordered the younger Iron Sister, her heart tightening at the view of her brother's goddaughter in such a state.

Two of the Iron Sisters proceeded to put the unconscious Nephilim inside the sacred pool before stepping out.

"Ignis Aurum Probat," echoed Magdalena's voice and the water around Alexandra immediately shone white, spreading relief to her heart. [Fire Tests Gold.]

But suddenly, there was a roar that scared the Sisters, who all took a step back after they noticed the water turning red and the Nephilim sitting up on its surface with a loud gasp - her eyes red as blood and gold anomalies dancing within them.

"What is happening to her!?" Screamed Magdalena at Dolores.

The elder gulped. "Her Father's warning us about his presence inside her."

The Bloodwood heir's eyes rolled back and she fell back to the water, once again unconscious - the water around her shone white before dimming completely and returning to its own natural colour.

"Take her out!" Demanded the brown-haired woman in utter concern and the Sisters obeyed instantly before setting their eyes up to Dolores.

"What are we going to do?" Asked Sister Cleophas, eyeing between Magdalena and Dolores.

The white-haired woman met Magdalena's pleading gaze and was relieved that her response wouldn't be negative.

But before having a chance to utter any words, Alexandra opened her eyes and let out a small groan.

"Maddy..." She smiled tiredly at the view of her godfather's sister before her eyelids dropped again.

"Sister...?" Implored Magdalena, who stood beside the unconscious Nephilim with tears in her eyes. "Please..."

"Alexandra Bloodwood is deemed clear of all demonic impurities," announced Dolores, making Zachariah's sister gasp in relief.

"But how?" Doubted Cleophas and lowered her voice, "She's the Dark Archangel's offspring, Dolores, and we're just going to allow her to enter the Citadel?"

"The water does not lie," Magdalena spoke for their elder. "You saw it yourself; there was no sign of any demonic impurities in her."

"She is right, Sister Cleophas," stated Sister Dolores. "No matter whose blood runs into her veins, Alexandra Bloodwood has been deemed clear of any demonic impurities and that allows her to enter the Citadel."

Cleophas pursed her lips, evidently not liking the elder's response.

"Let's take her inside," suggested Magdalena. "She needs a dry attire and rest."

Dolores nodded and the Sisters obeyed instantly.

Turning her head ahead, the elder did not miss the way Cleophas was looking at the faint beauty...

𝐒ᴀʟᴠᴀᴛᴏʀᴇ 𝐁ᴏᴀʀᴅɪɴɢ 𝐇ᴏᴜsᴇ.

Damon was holding a sleeping Rose in his arms as they both lay naked on his bed.

He didn't expect himself to seek comfort in Rose for his only concern after he killed his best bud, was Alexandra's feelings about his action.

He didn't care about anyone else's opinion about him, only hers.

He didn't bother when all Elena was trying to do while his brother and love interest were gone, was to turn him into another Stefan Salvatore minus the Ripper part.

He didn't bother when Alaric kept scolding him about everything that he did, plus being in love with his niece.

He didn't bother when Andie told him to contact her only when Alexandra returned, so she could express her gratitude for saving her life.

But, he did return home enraged and full of different emotions that needed to be liberated somehow and surprisingly he didn't wish to kill anyone.

And then, he called Rose and told her to come over for another drink since they had a really good time together lately.

The undead beauty did show up and according to our raven-haired vamp, she looked hot.

They didn't drink a lot but a lot of truths were revealed, which brought them even closer than they already were.

The night ended with him and Rose ripping each other's clothes off and falling asleep after a very pleasurable experience together...

He heard someone knocking on the door downstairs and he rolled his eyes at the interruption of the memory.

He carefully released the woman beside him from his embrace and she turned to her side, still sleeping as he quickly put some clothes on and went to answer the door.

It was Elena.

"I'll accept written apologies only," he crossed his arms.

The girl's face remained serious for some seconds until a naughty smirk was etched on it.

"Are you two having fights now?" She joked. "I thought you were head over heels for the Bass Player, not Elena 'Doe Eyes' Gilbert."

"Katherine," he slightly hit his head against the door a couple of times. "Wonderful. What do you want?"

"I'm just a girl looking for a partner in crime," she told him, smugly, and once he turned around to leave, she continued, "Feel like hitting the road? Getting the hell out of dodge?"

Before he could respond, footsteps were heard coming closer and closer until Rose appeared, causing the younger vampires to raise their eyebrows but for different reasons.

"It's not nice to leave a girl naked, so early in the morning," she said with a shy smile as she finished up buttoning up one of Damon's shirts. When her eyes landed on Katherine, her smile disappeared. "Katerina."

"Rosemarie," mumbled the doppelgänger, saucily. "You two were busy last night, I see. Great, the more the merrier!"

The oldest immortal creature frowned and glanced at the youngest. "What is she talking about?"

"You both have impeccable timing," humoured the Salvatore descendant. "I was told I need to take a beat and Rosebud is a great company."

"Is that a yes?" Katherine walked closer to him, with a satisfied grin. "I'll drive."

"Okay, can someone please tell me what is happening?" Rose's annoyed tone drew their attention. "For example; where are we going?"

"Away from here," replied the Pierce woman. "That's all I'm going to give you for right now. But believe me..." She dangled Elena's freshly stolen necklace in front of them. "it's good."

𝐀ᴅᴀᴍᴀɴᴛ 𝐂ɪᴛᴀᴅᴇʟ.

The beautiful chirping of birds reached her ears and made Alexandra open her eyes with a soft yet rather tired groan.

She let her gaze wander around the literally empty room she was in but didn't find anything known to her.

She sat up on the comfy bed and looked down at her current ᴀᴛᴛɪʀᴇ, which urged her brows to snap together.

What on Earth was happening?

Where was Klaus? Rebekah? Stefan?

She couldn't ignore the peaceful aura that surrounded her and that made her curiosity and anxiety grow.

She noticed a mirror across the room and hopped off the bed, wishing to take a better look at herself.

When her feet touched the ground, she realized that she was wearing flat shoes.

She couldn't even remember when was the last time she wore flat shoes.

Except, of course, her time in the In-between with Elijah.

Only the memories from it, brought a shy beam to her face as she walked towards the mirror.

She gaped at the sight of her...

She looked so pure, so innocent that made her wonder; was she still like that or she'd terribly changed after Daniel's death...?

The door of the room opened and the Nephilim whirled around to see Sister Magdalena enter with a relieved expression on her facial features.

"Maddy," breathed Alexandra and ran to her, happy to know that she hadn't dreamt of her but actually seen her. "I thought I saw you in a dream."

"Don't forget; it's Sister Magdalena now," reminded the Iron Sister and broke away from her. "And no, you didn't see me in a dream. It was real."

"So, I'm in the Citadel?" The Bloodwood heir's surprise was written all over her face and posture. "How...? What happened? Did you bring me here? Actually, no- How am I inside the Citadel!?"

"We performed a Purity Trial while you were unconscious," explained Magdalena. "And yes, I brought you here with the help of some of the Sisters. We were informed you might be in danger."

The Shadowhunter's eyes bugged out. "A Purity Trial!? But how- I'm the-" She lowered her voice, "I have the Devil's blood in me. I'm basically his daughter, how did I pass the Trial?"

The Iron Sister led her towards the bed and motioned for her to sit beside her. "Apparently, it did not matter. You may be his offspring by blood and he may be the Father of Demons, but that doesn't mean that you have been tainted by demonic impurities."

"But I was drinking Demon Blood-"

"Exactly, you were!" Disrupted her, the superior Shadowhunter. "You're no longer taking it. And as much as I hate to say this... I think you should start drinking it again."

Her eyebrows snapped together.

"Why for?"

"At your Trial, your... Father... decided to give us a message by showing us his presence within you, even if you can't sense it," said Magdalena and Alexandra felt her eyes watering. "Either that or he simply wished to warn us to reinforce your strength - physical and mental - in order to protect you from something big that's coming in your direction."

The half-Cretan's mind went straight to Esther and realized that her bond with her... father, was a lot more stronger than she imagined...

She tilted her head at her godfather's sister and asked something entirely different but still important.

"You said you were informed that I might be in danger..." The Iron Sister nodded her head in agreement. "Who informed you?"

Sister Magdalena smiled.

"You'll be amazed by my answer."

𝐊ʟᴀᴜs' 𝐓ʀᴜᴄᴋ.

Klaus kicked Stefan's foot and got seated on one of his brothers' coffins, waiting for him to wake up from his temporary death.

The Salvatore male opened his eyes after a moment and sat up rapidly at the view of the hybrid.

"Just give me a chance to explain myself, okay?"

"No need," the Original smiled wickedly. "I'm not mad, I'm just curious. Rebekah seems to think you're holding onto something. A piece of your old life. The thing is, she's got flawless instincts, borderline supernatural. So, I thought, I would check it out. See for myself what it is you've been hiding."

He got to his feet and moved to open the back of the truck they were in as the younger vampire stood up as well.

The latter put his hand as a shield against the sudden onslaught of light before quickly adapting to it. He froze when he recognized the view before him.

Klaus met his shocked eyes.

"Welcome back to Mystic Falls, Stefan."

Alexandra was sobbing when she finished reading the Fire Message.

"M-Maeve? My four-year-old d-daughter!? She's responsible for this?"

"Mr. Russo did not like it when your brothers could not do anything to locate you," said Magdalena with pursed lips. "So, he went seeking assistance from the Headmistress of Alicante Institute and she declined almost immediately. He found her behaviour suspicious and did his best to trick her with your Runes, to be honest. He found your daughter and she told him her worries."

"What of Charles?" Breathed the Nephilim.

She gave her a sad look. "The poor boy got sick when his sister shared her worries with him too. He's really attached to you and Maeve's suspicions drove him into a psychosomatic situation. He's fine, I assure you!" She quickly said before the woman before her could scream. "I made sure the both of them are being watched by very reliable sources of mine. Also, I wished to keep an eye on the Inquisitor. I find her behaviour suspicious too. Something's not right."

"So, what about now?"

They locked eyes.

"We're going to proceed with the reinforcement of your powers."

Damon along with Rose and Katherine were on the road, the doppelgänger driving the duo crazy with her murmur.

"Are you hungry?" She asked them. "Let's stop for a bite. A truck stop." She turned to Damon and raised her eyebrows pointedly. "Or a trucker."

"Oh, stop being cute," worded the male vampire, in annoyance.

"It's not possible."

Rosemarie rolled her eyes from the backseat, wishing to snap Katherine's neck painfully.

"I could try and throw a punch in your pretty face, Katerina," she suggested in humour, meeting Damon's smirking expression through the review mirror. "Then, we shall see if you remain to be cute."

"Rose, such a flirt you are," the Petrova heir rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, defeated.

"We've been driving around aimlessly for hours," the Salvatore firstborn looked at his former lover. "Where are we going?"

"Far enough away so that you can't go running back," she replied without looking back at him.

"Not to worry. Mystic Falls and I are on a bit of a break."

"You and Mystic Falls or you and Alexandra?" She mischievously queried and leaned over to him, seductively, not noticing Rose's fist ball up and her chin clenched. "I heard you killed her Uncle."

"Actually, it's Elena," answered Damon, perceiving her inching closer to him. "We're having a bit of difference of opinion on how I should behave. Hotness will probably forgive me since I already apologized to her."

"Ooh. Let me guess..." She chose to not comment upon Alexandra and started caressing his neck. "Elena wants you to be the hero, and you don't like playing pretend."

"Something like that," he whispered and slightly closed his eyes when the doppelgänger's lips were inches away from his.

"Her loss," Katherine whispered back and captured his lips.

Rose upon witnessing the scene unfold, had to withdraw her saddened eyes from them, feeling her heart tighten for an unknown reason.

Damon opened his eyes and spotted the unhappy beauty through the review mirror and didn't like seeing her like that.

Out of nowhere, he harshly pushed the Pierce female off of him and she grunted in discomfort, gaining the elder vampire's attention.

"What are you doing?" Asked Katherine, obviously irritated by his gesture.

"I thought I'd give it a shot," mused the male and turned to face her. "Truth is, you just don't do it for me anymore."

He smirked upon watching her defeated and angry expression but he was more pleased when he saw Rose half-smiling after this.

The corner of his own lips curved upwards without his permission in the view of her smiling.

Stefan woke up with a groan and got startled by finding Rebekah standing there, near the open back door of the truck.

"Oh, he lives," she smiled wickedly.

"What happened?" He asked.

"You took a beating," sighed the Original and crossed her arms. "My brother's been breaking your neck all afternoon. Quite the temper."

"Why did he bring us back to Mystic Falls?" He continued his pretence.

"You can stop playing dumb now," suggested Rebekah. "It didn't take him long to figure out what you've been hiding."

"I'm not hiding anything," he stood up. "I've done everything Klaus has asked me to."

"No, you just failed to mention that the doppelgänger's still alive, and also you failed to protect Alexandra."

He now realized that she wasn't there.

"Where is she?" He enquired from the blonde. "What have you done with her!? She didn't do anything!"

"Oh, I believe she did," she admitted. "She's very clever that one and I must give it to her. But I decided to not tell Nik, for he would try and kill one more of Elijah's lovers and I don't want that with her. Not when I know what she means and will mean to him."

"Where is she!?"

"I've no idea where she is! Some fellow Shadowhunter of hers must have taken her away through some magical white light. Nik got quite frustrated, actually..."

"Where is Klaus now?"

"With any luck, ripping that cow's bloody head off," she smiled in satisfaction. "And by that, I meant your ex, Elena... not my future sister-in-law."

Stefan vamp-sped at her and they both flew out of the truck and onto the ground.

"Where is she!?" He exclaimed, referring to Elena.

"I told you I don't bloody know!" Rebekah tried to get him off of her but didn't try too hard.

"Not Alexa! Elena!"

He shouldn't have said that.

"You still care about her, don't you?" Dark veins made their appearance underneath her eyes and her fangs followed next. "Now, I'm mad."

She used her own strength and speed and pushed him against the truck before punching him and then acquiring a crowbar. She put its hook behind his neck and pulled him to her.

"Even as your ex-girlfriend, that doppelbitch tends to have a special place in your heart," she hissed in his ear. "I would've been beyond jealous if my soulmate wasn't waiting for me just around the corner... " She drove the crowbar through his stomach, causing him to yell in pain. "Consider yourself a lucky man."

Damon stopped the car and got out without saying a word, Rose repeated his action silently but Katherine of course had to ask, "Why are we stopping?"

"I thought we might want to stretch our legs," said the male version of immortality. "Take a break from the sexual tension. I'm tired of driving." He held the keys out for her to take. "It's your turn."

"Fine."

She walked towards him and went to take the keys, only for Damon to throw them away unexpectedly.

"Hey!" Exclaimed Katherine at a loss. "I..."

"We're not going anywhere until you spill your guts," the Salvatore heir told her sternly.

The Petrova doppelgänger glanced at Rose before releasing a scoff. "Fine." She pulled Elena's necklace out of her pocket and showed it to them. "Do you recognize this, hmm?" When they nodded, she continued, "A little birdy told me that Klaus wants to get his hands on it."

"What's Klaus' business with Elena's necklace?" Rosemarie raised a question.

"Does it matter? He wants it, and I have it," sassed Katherine. "It's leverage, Rosie. Always stay one step ahead of your enemy."

"She'll keep that in mind," added Damon and locked eyes with the eldest immortal.

"But more importantly, when I stole the necklace from Bonnie, I found out something else..." Informed the doppelgänger and started walking towards the car boot. "Something better."

"Oh, yeah?" Worded the raven-haired vampire. "What's that?"

"Are you willing to do whatever it takes to stop Klaus?" Asked him, Katherine, her hand above the boot. "No turning back?"

"I'm not turning back."

"Good. Because this isn't going to win you any points at home."

She opened the boot when the two other creatures of the night joined her. They were surprised to see Jeremy lying in it, unconscious

"Elena's baby brother?" Rosemarie raised her eyebrows at her.

Damon rolled his eyes.

"Really?"

Rebekah entered the gym with Tyler in her grip.

"Get off of me!"

"Hush now," the Original ignored him and joined her brother and the rest of the frightened gang.

"Tyler, no!" Yelled Elena once she spotted her boyfriend but could not do anything due to the hybrid being quite near.

"I'd like you all to meet my sister, Rebekah," Klaus introduced her to them. "Word of warning... She can be quite mean."

"Don't be an ass," she narrowed her eyes at him and threw the werewolf into her brother's arms.

"Leave him alone!" Cried the Gilbert heir when out of the blue, the doors thrust open and Mason entered, furious.

"Tyler, what the hell have you been doing? I've been calling you for..." He trailed off, once he spotted the two Originals. "What is going on here?"

"Ah, perfect!" Laughed Klaus at the sight of the older Lockwood. "Another werewolf for my army." He hybrid-sped towards him. "I'm going to make this very simple..." He wrapped his arm around the dirty-blond werewolf's neck, motioning for his sister to do the same with the other Lockwood wolf. "Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually."

He bit into his wrist and forced Mason to drink his blood before hybrid-speeding towards Tyler and doing the same to him.

"No!" Cried Elena once again, not daring to get any closer to the female Original.

The male Mikaelson heir turned to look at the Bennett witch as he wound his arm around Mason's neck once again. "I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler and Mason's sake... You better hurry. Rebekah, love!"

He twisted the first Lockwood's head before his sister did the same with the nephew.

"NOO!" Wailed the Gilbert girl and kneeled down beside her boyfriend. "Tyler, no..."

She caressed his hair as Matt and Bonnie were glancing between the two dead Lockwoods in shock.

Klaus was smiling in utter wickedness.

𝐎ɴ 𝐓ʜᴇ 𝐑ᴏᴀᴅ...

Damon laid the still-unconscious Jeremy on a picnic table near the car before he, Rose and Katherine sat down.

"We're listening," he urged his ex to speak.

"What if I told you there was a way to kill Klaus?" She offered. "And not dagger-dead. Dead, dead."

"I'd say you were desperate and lying," he mocked. "Or drunk."

"Or both," smirked Rose and met his ice-blue eyes.

Katherine rolled her eyes and addressed the male, "Do you remember my friend Pearl?"

"Vividly."

"Centuries ago, she told me about a vampire who knew how to kill Klaus. Then, she wouldn't tell me any more."

"Well, why not?"

"Because it was her leverage," replied the doppelgänger. "She knew it was valuable information, and... wouldn't share it with me."

"Well, this is all great..." He mumbled ironically while the short-haired female sighed. "Because she's a God knows where along with that petite, sharp-tongued daughter of hers, thanks to Hotness." The Pierce heir went to comment but his angry glare prevented her from doing so. "Don't you dare say anything about her..."

Katherine raised her hands in surrender. "I know they're gone and I have no interest in finding them. I'm just trying to say that there might be someone, who is now dead, of course, that might've sneakily found out what Pearl and Anna knew before they bailed and before he died."

"Well, who would that be?" Rosemarie folded her arms.

"John Gilbert..." Realized Damon, only to be rewarded by a wink from Katherine.

"Don't let anybody ever tell you, that you're just a pretty face."

"Who's John Gilbert?" The eldest vampire diverted the subject, evidently irritated by the other woman's behaviour. "And how are we going to speak to him?"

"Elena's biological Father and Jeremy's Uncle," retorted the Salvatore man to her first query.

"Wow... But he's dead..." She looked at Katherine. "Isn't he?"

"Which brings us right back around to-"

"To me," they all turned to see Jeremy awake. "Back around to me."

𝐀ᴅᴀᴍᴀɴᴛ 𝐂ɪᴛᴀᴅᴇʟ.

The Sisters had laid on the ground inside the Citadel, the cold marble making her bare upper body shiver.

She was wearing a fighting outfit according to the Sisters but to her, it seemed like two pieces of white sheet that veiled her breasts and legs.

Sister Dolores kneeled down beside her and held her Stele right above Alexandra's 𝐀ɴɢᴇʟɪᴄ 𝐑ᴜɴᴇ.

"Are you ready for this?"

A tear ran down the Nephilim's cheek.

"Is there anyone who's actually ready to face the Devil?"

The elder sighed and stroked her wet cheek. "You need not to be feared. Devil or not, you're the only one he wishes to protect on this Earth."

The Bloodwood beauty took a deep breath and met Magdalena's eyes while Dolores activated the poor girl's rune, and after a minute, every single rune on her body appeared and shone red as blood.

"Sisters if you please," the white-haired woman addressed Cleophas and Magdalena, who instantly came towards them and took hold of Alexandra's extended arms. She looked down at her, "Now, this might sting."

She used her Stele and started drawing on top of the girl's Angelic Rune, Lucifer's birthmark, the one Alexandra had drawn with her fingers back at the Silent City.

The heavenly creature immediately grabbed Cleophas and Magdalena's arms tightly, the pain unbearable against her skin for she'd never experienced something similar before.

"Do not hold your screams, sweet girl," Cleophas sensed her holding back.

When she shook her head, the two Sisters held her down as she arched her back in agony, her lips now besmeared with blood under the torment of her teeth.

"Alexandra, let it out!" Magdalena instructed, hating to see her in such a painful condition. "Let it out, I said!"

The entire castle began to shake as the Nephilim released the strongest and most piercing wail of agony her lungs could endure, her whole being writhing in agony.

𝐎ɴ 𝐓ʜᴇ 𝐑ᴏᴀᴅ...

"This isn't going to work," argued Jeremy when his phone vibrated in Katherine's hand and she picked it up to check who was texting him. She read Bonnie's message without uttering out loud.

From: Bonnie.

Where are U?

"I think that your witchy girlfriend's worried that you've run away with your ghostly Uncle."

"Stop with the teeny family drama," reprimanded Damon before looking at Elena's brother. "Focus."

The boy did as told and after some time, his obnoxious uncle appeared by his side but only Jeremy could see and hear him.

"I'm not helping them," he told his nephew.

The teenager sighed. "They're just trying to help, John." The immortal trio shared a look, still surprised that they couldn't see John. "They're looking for a way to stop Klaus."

"And you trust three vampires to kill one of the strongest creatures on this Earth!?" Snapped John. "Do you remember how many times Katherine fooled me to do her dirty work?"

"Anything?" Rose spoke.

"What's he saying?" Asked Damon.

"Well, he doesn't want to help you," told them, Jeremy.

"Shocker," the raven-haired vampire rolled his eyes.

"I got this," whispered Rosemarie and walked up to the Gilbert boy, calmly. "Listen, buddy, I don't know you very well and I have nothing towards you, but I want Klaus dead, so-" She pushed his head against the table roughly, which caused everyone's eyes to widen and Jeremy yelled in pain.

"Ow! What the hell?!"

"Jeremy! Are you okay?" The obnoxious uncle stood by his nephew's side, furious.

The eldest female grabbed the boy's neck, squeezing ever so slightly whenever needed. "Look John or whatever your name is, I know you're here and you can watch and hear everything, but I swear if you don't help us kill Klaus, I'm going to feed on your nephew until his very last breath!"

Damon was staring at Rose in utter fascination, something in his core telling him that he would be busy tonight as well.

The uncle unable to save his nephew, obeyed. "They're looking for Mikael!"

"Mikael!" Coughed the younger Gilbert and Rosemarie let go of him.

Katherine perked up. "Mikael. Is that his name?"

"Who's Mikael?" Queried Damon in alarm.

"The vampire who hunts vampires," John told Jeremy. "You don't want to wake him, Jeremy. He will kill all of you! He's worse than Klaus."

"What's he saying?" Pressed Rose while the Petrova doppelgänger beside her continued, "Hello!"

"He's a vampire and a Hunter, and you guys would be idiots to wake him," he glanced up at his uncle, "What do you mean, wake him?"

John pursed his lips and didn't give an answer.

"Girls, I think it's time to go find the keys," the Salvatore male announced and went to do what he'd just said.

"Mm-hmm," they both hummed in unison and shared an annoyed look.

𝐀ᴅᴀᴍᴀɴᴛ 𝐂ɪᴛᴀᴅᴇʟ.

Every Sister in the room could easily understand that she had taken vocal lessons when she was young.

The poor girl was still screeching her lungs out in neverending agony, spreading a multitude of emotions to the women who were watching her in such a dreadful state.

"How long has it been?" Sister Cleophas questioned while observing the Nephilim.

"Almost three hours," responded Sister Dolores without turning to look at her.

"I didn't expect it to be so painful for her," conceded Magdalena, with tears in her eyes. "The Dark Archangel has been within her since the moment she was born, why isn't her body accepting her increased powers?"

"Nicholas had her baptized, don't you remember?" Reminded the elder. "It may have been a secret that Alexandra was saved by the Dark Archangel's blood, which also rendered her his offspring, but Nicholas did not know about it back then. He insisted on a baptism and that's why her body's reacting the way it is." She looked up at the ceiling, pretending to be the sky. "It's like the Father and the Son are fighting for dominance."

A few seconds passed and Magdalena furrowed her eyebrows in bewilderment.

"Isn't it awfully quiet?"

The three Iron Sisters turned around to find the Bloodwood lady sitting up on the ground and hugging her legs while her face was hidden in her arms.

"Is she...?" She went to check on her, only to be stopped by Cleophas.

"What are you doing? Let me go to her!"

"You're emotionally charged, Sister! You should not go near her in your condition! Let me go instead."

Dolores put her hand on her shoulder. "She's right, Magdalena. You'll have time to take care of her after her... ordeal."

Magdalena reluctantly agreed and stepped back while Cleophas walked up to Alexandra.

"Alexandra?" She received no response from her. "Alexandra, darling? Are you okay?"

The half-Cretan lifted her head at a very low pace and once Cleophas was able to face her properly, she gasped in fear.

The Shadowhunter's eyes were the same colour they were this morning, only much brighter, blood running down from them uncontrollably.

"You..." Alexandra spoke and the three Sisters knew that it was not her speaking. "Traitor... How dare you stand before me!?"

She stood up and raised her hand in Cleophas' direction, causing the Iron Sister to fall to her knees in agonizing pain.

A wind beyond imagination began shaking everything inside the Citadel, multiple claps of thunder echoing outside of it.

"Oh, my God!" Exclaimed Dolores, taking Magdalena's hand and taking several steps back. "Raziel save us!"

"I don't wish to disrespect you or our Angel, Sister," whispered the brown-haired Iron Sister. "but I fear that Lucifer Morningstar is way more powerful than him."

"And now the Morningstar himself is possessing your little girl," she whispered back and then Cleophas' yell was heard.

The Archangel within Alexandra's body flicked the female's wrist and the fallen Sister directly got asphyxiated. "You were welcomed into this Temple of Pureness and your only aim was to gain information about my daughter's Fate and then deliver them straight back to that varlet of a Prince of Hell, Azazel! And although you were perfectly aware of what he has done to her, you still selected to obey him instead of taking Alexandra's side on the matter and protecting her as your duty as an Iron Sister was and remains to be!" The Dark Archangel pressed Alexandra's fingers together and blood began pouring out of Cleophas' eyes. "I shall see you in Hell." He snapped her fingers and the Iron Sister was nothing more than trillions of spots of blood all around the Citadel.

The two remaining Sisters were unable to react in any way. Not only they couldn't react at the revelation of their fellow Sister's true intentions, but they couldn't even move as the Morningstar turned towards them but laid eyes solely on Magdalena.

"I do thank you for ensuring my daughter's safety," he let a wicked grin form on the Bloodwood beauty's lips. "If you by any chance end up in Hell, I shall make certain that you will not be burned in Hellfire."

The metaphysical red colour in Alexandra's eyes dimmed as they rolled back to her head and the Nephilim fell unconscious, the weather changes ceased abruptly as the half-Cretan gasped awake - her father's birthmark glowing red.

"Well, the verdict's in," Klaus carried a half-dead Elena into the classroom where Rebekah had brought the two Lockwoods, who were now both awake and in transition. "The Original Witch says the doppelgänger should be dead."

Tyler's eyes widened when they spotted his girlfriend like that but he couldn't move. "Elena! Wha- what did you do to her!?"

The blonde perked up at the news and got up, ignoring the lovestruck werewolf and smiling happily at the view of the doppelgänger's half-dead state. "Does that mean we can kill her?"

"No, I'm fairly certain it means the opposite," her brother smiled back and placed the girl down, only to cause Rebekah's smile to drop.

"What?!" She frowned and put her arms around Tyler when he went to check on his girlfriend.

"No, let go of me!" He exclaimed and struggled in her arms. "What did you do to her!?"

"I had my Ripper have a taste of your loving girlfriend before compelling him to go after his own," smirked the Original and gazed at his sister. "Call it a hunch..." He held a test tube with blood in it, in front of Mason, who hadn't uttered a single word since he woke up. "Elena's blood. Drink it."

"No!" Shouted the younger Lockwood. "Mason, don't!"

"If he doesn't feed, he'll die anyway, mate, as well as you," he relished in the view of the older wolf craving the blood he was holding. "Consider this an experiment." Mason looked up to him, afraid. "It's okay."

The older Lockwood was struggling but he eventually accepted the doppelgänger's blood and gulped it down.

"There we go," whispered Klaus, with a proud beam. "Good lad."

"Tyler..." Whispered Elena from the ground and Rebekah finally released Tyler after a nod from her brother.

Suddenly, Mason started coughing uncontrollably, earning everyone's attention. He fell to the floor, screaming in pain, letting out all sorts of painful sounds before clutching his head and screaming louder until his transition was finally completed.

Klaus waited impatiently until his first hybrid ever, raised his head with his hybrid features appearing all together; gold eyes with veins underneath them and vampire fangs.

"Well, that's a good sign," smirked the male Original and glanced at Tyler as he rose to his feet. "Your turn, lover boy."

Elena was brought to the hospital by Klaus and miraculously he let Tyler stay with her, not bothering to hide that he had compelled a nurse to collect her blood.

"So, the doppelgänger isn't the problem, her blood is the solution," said Rebekah while sitting on the car's bonnet.

"Seems so," agreed Klaus and looked up to her.

"How did you know?"

"Well, you know how much the Original Witch hated me. Do you honestly think I would do anything other than the opposite of what she says?"

Rebekah smiled mockingly. "A thousand years in the grave and she's still screwing with you."

"Well, it makes sense if you think about it from her perspective," he acknowledged. "It was her fail-safe in case I ever broke the hybrid curse. The doppelgänger had to die in order for me to become a hybrid, but if she was dead-"

"Then, you couldn't use her blood to sire yourself a new species," finished the blonde for him.

"Leaving me alone for all time," continued Klaus, not realizing his error.

"Is that what this is about?" Asked Rebekah, stunned and slightly hurt. "Your obsession with hybrids? You just don't want to be alone?"

Klaus' sea-blue eyes seemed to brim with tears but his attitude quickly made them disappear. "What I want is to take my girl, take my hybrids the hell out of this one-pony town." He turned his back to her for a moment, to swallow the lump in his throat before facing her again.

But she didn't let him speak.

"And what of your soulmate?" Her words surprised him. "Haven't you thought about that at all?" When he didn't answer, Rebekah's eyes were the ones that watered up now as realization dawned on her. "No, Nik... Don't tell me-"

"What?"

"Alexandra..."

"Alexandra is not my soulmate, Rebekah!" He raised his voice and this time, he didn't stop his tears from falling. "I thought she was until Elijah appeared and destroyed everything!"

The female Original jumped off the car and walked up to him. "It wasn't Elijah's fault that Alexandra was his soulmate and not yours, Nik. None of us could choose that."

"I found her first!" He hissed. "I-"

"It doesn't bloody matter that you were the one who found her first!" She raised her own voice, so she could be heard by him. "She's meant to be united with our brother and you with someone else! Why, can't you accept that?"

"Because-"

"Because what? Because you're in love with her and you're selfish enough to accept that she doesn't return your feelings!?"

Klaus gaped at her harsh yet truthful words but didn't voice anything.

Rebekah on the other hand, needed to let out some of her thoughts to him and she couldn't feel bad for feeling even a bit relieved.

"I'm gonna get the truck, you go get Elena," she told her brother, who nodded without facing her retreating figure.

He then heard a specific sound of footsteps and his face was quickly adorned by an immediate smirk. "Well, look who finally decided to show up to the party."

He turned around and his smirk disappeared when he noticed all that blood besmeared on Alexandra's barely-standing silhouette.

"What the hell happened to you!?"

The hybrid caught her before she could collapse.

"Don't ask."
