Author's Note: Though this is technically a sequel to Blood-Bound, Blood-Touched, Blood-Ties, and Blood-Power it CAN be read as a standalone! Enjoy this little Anakin-Obi-Wan-centric vampire chaos! :D

Also, this is for the Obikin 2023 bingo. :)

~ Amina Gila

In one universe, after being bitten by Echo, Anakin falls to the vampire side instead of joining Sidious. After Order 66, when on a mission with Obi-Wan, an injured Anakin is forced to confront his desire to turn his former master.

He's throbbing in more places than he cares to count. The explosion was – it was bad. They'd walked into a trap, and Anakin had reacted only fast enough to tackle Obi-Wan out of the way when everything blew up. Literally, unfortunately. So much for a successful mission against the nearby Imperial base. They came on foot to stay out of sight, and they have no way of getting back to Ahsoka safely right now.

Anakin had walked away from... everything, along with all of his boys to keep them safe, right before the Republic fell. Most of the Jedi were lost when the Empire formed, but Obi-Wan survived. He came to find Anakin where he was hiding on Naboo, and now –

"Anakin," Obi-Wan is saying, and Anakin feels the grip on his shoulder, warm and grounding. "Anakin!"

Really. As if an explosion or much of anything can kill him. Anakin shifts a little, hissing faintly at the pain flaring through him. If Obi-Wan was a vampire too, he wouldn't have reason to be so worried. Wouldn't have nearly gotten them both killed. If –

He's close, and Anakin's hunger is burning at an all-time high right now. He hasn't been this hungry, this drawn to blood, since Echo first bit and turned him on Kamino. Echo had been there then, as had the rest of his squad, and they helped Anakin through his turn. It... was hard, especially when his arm regrew, but it was worth it. He's been able to save so many, and after the Empire formed, it's – it helped.

Obi-Wan is the only Jedi who knows about it to Anakin's knowledge, except Ahsoka, of course. Anakin told him, and Obi Wan had already figured some of it out by then. Obi-Wan hadn't been very fond of it, and he didn't want to be turned. Anakin hadn't pressured, no matter how desperately he wishes he could have the same familiarity and closeness with his former master that he and the boys have.

If one of the boys were here, he'd already be feeding on them, because they do it all the time. They bite him, too, sometimes before battle, since Anakin's blood gives them a power boost which makes them even stronger.

Wait, is Obi-Wan talking? Anakin genuinely has no idea. He thinks so, but all his brain can think of right now is staring at him, feeling the alluring sound of his heartbeat and the promise of food. Obi-Wan is his master, and he always brings the promise of safety. Of comfort, and –

Okay, he feels a little bit bad about wanting to feed on Obi-Wan so badly, but he does. The pull to Force-sensitives is stronger than normal people, especially those who are already family.

His master awkwardly offers his arm, and Anakin blinks at it, somewhat confused. Is that meant as an offer for him to feed? His brain is working too sluggishly to think about it, and the hunger inside him is burning, so he stops thinking altogether. He catches Obi-Wan's hand, tugging him closer into his arms, pressing his face to Obi-Wan's neck. Obi-Wan yelps and Anakin would have laughed if he had the presence of mind to – his amusement flares into the Force, anyway.

Anakin hovers just a moment longer, clinging to him, before he gives into the pull and bites down. His grip around Obi-Wan's waist tightens a little, and the rest of the world melts away.

He's wanted this from the moment he saw Obi-Wan again, from the moment he turned Rex and felt the blind, ceaseless devotion to his brothers. Trying to take care of them is... terrifying sometimes, but it's what it is, and he could never regret taking that role.

"This isn't quite what I had in mind," Obi-Wan gripes, shifting a little, but he reaches to touch Anakin's back. He doesn't hold him the way most in the coven do when they feed on each other, but he's still getting used to it, too. First time for everything?

Echo was the first to bite Anakin, and it freaked him out until Hunter explained what was happening. Crosshair was second, and that was a little weird, though Anakin certainly hadn't minded.

Anakin makes a sound of comprehension, though he does not, in fact, think he understood that point. He can't respond verbally when he's feeding, and he's not about to stop, either. He's wanted this for... a long time.

He doesn't fully realize what Obi-Wan's semi-freaked out annoyance is about until he feels the shift in their bond. He felt it when Rex turned Ahsoka instead of killing her in Order 66, felt the way the depth of their bond shifted, warping into something more.

The same is happening to Obi-Wan now, too – morphing it and linking them together forever.

Anakin can't find it in himself to regret it, even if Obi-Wan hadn't wanted to be turned because they knew – Vampires live longer than humans. He didn't want to accept that Obi-Wan would die long before him or any of them.

He feels better now, though he's not ready to pull back yet.

Obi-Wan's arms are wrapped around him loosely, though firmly, and Anakin snuggles closer, nuzzling his face against his master's neck.

"I did not agree to be turned," Obi-Wan gripes.

"Sorry," Anakin tells him sheepishly, though he doesn't really regret it. He wanted Obi-Wan to be one of them so badly, and in the heat of the moment, he hadn't been able to exercise the necessary caution to prevent it. "Are you... okay?" It's a bit of a silly question, but he's worried. His master hadn't wanted it, but it... happened anyway.

His master huffs, though he doesn't make any effort to shove him away. "How does the turn work?" he queries.

Oh. Yeah. Obi-Wan found the whole concept somewhat... weird or gross, which Anakin somewhat understands, though he grew up on Tatooine. There's not much of anything he's bothered by. "You'll have to bite someone," Anakin tells him, a bit teasingly. He knows Obi-Wan is upset, and he should probably take that a little more seriously, but he feels far more blissed out than anything else.

For all the time he's spent with Ahsoka, with Rex and all their brothers, Anakin has... taken the role of their sire. Technically, Crosshair was the first turned, and he turned Hunter who turned Echo who turned Anakin or thereabouts, but Anakin's role as a General and Jedi, and perhaps his Force-sensitivity, gave him a higher ranking. Anakin has never felt protected while feeding the way he does now. Idly, he wonders if the same is true about his brothers when they feed on him.

"The only person within walking range, aside from the now-dead troopers in that base, is you," Obi-Wan reminds.

Anakin shrugs. "I don't mind." What? Yes, he was hurt, but he's fine now, or he will be soon, and the boys feed on him all the time. It gives them a temporary Force-sensitivity boost, though Hunter and Kix somehow retained sensitivity after feeding on Anakin. Feeding is relaxing, and it always feels right to be giving someone something.

Even if that's his blood, apparently.

"I'm not certain I like this," Obi-Wan grumbles. He nudges Anakin off him, gently pushing him back enough to sit down properly. Anakin curls up next to him, resting his head on his master's shoulder. He wants more, to just stay here and not worry about anything else. It's soothing to be with Obi-Wan; it's not something they did before, not like this.

"I do," Anakin says, voice muffled a bit. He has a very, very long list of reasons for why he thinks so. Obi-Wan has a perpetual attraction for trouble.

He's always getting hurt or getting in trouble, and Anakin is long used to worrying about him, though it'd be easier if he didn't have to. He'd be one of them, and Obi-Wan won't have to... Vampires are faster, stronger, and they have so many advantages over being human. (Is Anakin human at all anymore? He has no idea. Some of the shinies almost literally worship him though.)

"I know."

There's a faint shift in Obi-Wan's presence, too. It's weird to feel him changing like this.

Ahsoka hadn't consented to her transformation either. Rex jumped her so he didn't have to hurt her when Order 66 was given out. She'd left before the vampire thing came into being, and she didn't even know about it before it happened. She hadn't been happy, not at all, but Anakin still felt the way her presence was shifting, morphing into something soft and gentle, but with the same fierce devotion they all feel towards one another. Those are all qualities Ahsoka has already had, so it hadn't changed her very much.

Obi-Wan though? Everything about him is... different. His master was always loyal to the Jedi first and foremost, and it's... strange for him to feel that way about people, instead. Nor does Anakin have any idea what it'll mean for the bonds in their coven. Bonds are unique to individuals, though for the most part, they're siblings. Anakin is their sire and leader and protector, but he's still their brother.

And Obi-Wan has never been very personally close with any of them, unlike Anakin and Ahsoka. Anakin doesn't really know what it'll mean for them.

"We need to get out of here before stormtroopers start showing up," Anakin points out, a little reluctantly. He doesn't really want to move right now. He's mildly surprised Obi-Wan hasn't pushed him off yet either, because while Anakin might have hugged him on occasion when he was much younger, it was never a moment he was able to linger in, either. What he does want is to keep feeding, but there's no need to make Obi-Wan more... feral than he's going to be shortly.

"I sent a message ahead to Ahsoka. She'll have to pick us up."

It's probably going to be a while, though. The more the minutes drag by, the more he can sense his new-found vampire bond with Obi-Wan strengthening.

"This... connection," Obi-Wan speaks up finally, "Doesn't it mean you're my..." He trails off, as though searching for the word.

"Sire?" Anakin finishes. His former master never seemed overly interested in learning about vampires. He just thought they were disgusting.

"Yes."

"I don't know," he admits. He can't imagine feeling that kind of protectiveness towards Obi-Wan that he does towards all his fledglings. Not that he isn't protective of his once master, but it's not the same because it's Obi-Wan who always took care of him. Aside from the million times Anakin rescued him.

That's not what he's starting to feel, though. It's more of a... safe, protected feeling, the same way he did when he was briefly feeding on him.

He can see as much as sense Obi-Wan's agitation starting to grow as the transformation keeps progressing. He pulls away from Anakin, standing and pacing back and forth, likely trying to fight off the growing hunger.

"You're going to have to feed eventually," Anakin says again, finally, because he knows how unimaginably stubborn Obi-Wan can be if he wants to be, "It will make the transformation easier if you do not keep waiting." None of the boys are really stubborn about it, but Ahsoka had been at first. It made it unnecessarily unpleasant for her.

"I'm not biting you," he protests, grumpily.

"Come on, Master. It's not that bad." And he's trying very hard not to laugh, which he feels a little bad about. But mostly, he just feels bad that he doesn't feel bad at all, because he wanted Obi-Wan to be part of their coven for so long. Probably, that's why it happened even though he didn't have any intentions of actually turning him when he did bite him.

"You're asking me to drink your blood," he huffs, "Have you thought of the ludicrousness of your... request?"

"We're not human anymore," Anakin defends, but if he weren't so used to it, it does sound ridiculous. It never bothered him, though. It was weird, but it came with so many other things, and mostly, it came with family. Something he always wanted, and never thought of truly getting.

He could almost swear the annoyed huff that escapes Obi-Wan as he finishes pacing around him again sounds just slightly more like a snarl.

Well.

His transformation is definitely progressing now.

"Unless there's someone else you'd prefer to bite, because we may want to deal with it before Ahsoka shows up." He just... doubts Obi-Wan would much want to do it with anyone else around until he's comfortable with it, even if Anakin doesn't really get why.

Obi-Wan finally moves closer, sitting on the ground beside him again. Anakin just... waits, because really, when he does this is up to him and pushing him when he's already uncomfortable about it won't help anyway. He already knows Anakin's perfectly eager for it.

Anakin doesn't know why he expected anything else, when it's his left arm Obi-Wan finally reaches for. Of course, it's unlikely that he'd ever initiate touch that's so intimate the way bites are normally done. It's not really who Obi-Wan is, even if Anakin can't deny his immediate swell of disappointment, because that is... a part of being bitten that he admittedly always looks forward to.

Ahsoka can't bite anyone normally or be bitten because of her lekku, and she's so disappointed about it. He has no idea how Obi-Wan could willingly choose to deny himself that, but it is his choice, even if Anakin's not the happiest by it.

He's always wanted a deeper connection with him, but it wouldn't be fair to demand more than his former master wants to give.

Obi-Wan lingers a moment longer before, pushing his sleeve up and leaning down, biting. Pain momentarily spikes through Anakin's arm, but it's nothing, even if he can tell it's far messier than normal because his fangs aren't fully developed yet.

He can't quite imagine what Obi-Wan's going to look like when he does have fangs.

Anakin tries to resist the very irresistible urge to cuddle closer when Obi-Wan starts feeding. It gives him that same safe protected home feeling he had earlier when he was the one feeding, and he doesn't want it to end.

Though now that Obi-Wan's actually started, Anakin gets the feeling he doesn't really want to stop. Because he's not stopping.

To be fair, Anakin's been told many times that his blood is, by far, the most tempting.

Something about Force-sensitivity or something. He doesn't fully understand the origins of the vampire thing, but well... it gave him this family, and nothing matters more than that.

Anakin can't fully resist the temptation anymore, so he leans forwards, lightly resting his head on Obi-Wan's shoulder. It's a while longer before Obi-Wan lets go of his arm, though not long enough that he's feeling any side-effects of blood loss. He leans closer as soon as his arm is free, winding his arms Obi-Wan and holding onto him. He returns the hug a little tighter than Anakin expected.

Their vampire bond is distinctly stronger now, enough that Anakin can sort of make sense of Obi-Wan's placement in their hierarchy. Anakin's technically his sire, but in some ways Obi-Wan still half feels like his, though it's not actually affecting anyone else linked to them, probably because Obi-Wan's not really close to them.

"There's something wrong with your blood," Obi-Wan grumbles finally.

What in the –

Anakin lets out a surprised laugh. "What does that mean?"

"I should not be feeling the Force this strongly. Unless it's because of these vampire abilities."

He outright cracks up at that. "Yeah. The boys get sensitivity when they feed on me."

"Does it stay?" he asks, warily.

"Not usually. I may have... accidentally made a few Force-sensitive, though."

"You accidentally made someone Force-sensitive," Obi-Wan repeats, "Why am I not surprised?"

"There's two of them who kept it," Anakin tells him cheerfully. Before Order 66 was given out, before Obi-Wan joined up with the coven, Anakin wouldn't have told him. It wasn't something they talked about. "Hunter and Kix."

"Kix is Force-sensitive now?" Obi-Wan asks dubiously. "Why am I not surprised about that, either?"

"You can predict us too well?" Anakin volunteers, smothering a laugh.

"Unfortunately," Obi-Wan agrees.

He can't help wondering, for a moment, if that unyielding protectiveness Anakin always feels of his fledglings is what Obi-Wan's feeling towards him now. He – he wants it to be, because he doesn't want the protected feeling he's getting right now to end.

Which predictably has to be the very moment he hears the sound of an approaching speeder. Ahsoka must be almost here.

***

Ahsoka and Artoo arrive with the ship sometime later. They board and settle into the back while Ahsoka flies out. She's smirking, and Anakin can sense the way her presence is curling with amusement. "What am I supposed to call you?" she asks snippily after setting up through the atmosphere, "Obi-Wan? Master? Dad-brother-uncle? Is that a Dathcle?"

Anakin bursts out laughing. Obi-Wan is struggling to maintain a grumpy face, and not quite managing it. "Dathcle?"

She shrugs flippantly, struggling to keep from grinning like an idiot. "Dad, brother, and uncle smushed into one."

Obi-Wan pinches the bridge of his nose. "Is that what our bond says now?"

Ahsoka snorts. "Yep!"

Anakin is laughing hard enough that he's practically wheezing, trying to form a coherent sentence, but he's laughing too hard.

"I am not calling you 'sister'," Obi-Wan informs her flatly.

"Nope! It's Dausteice!"

Obi-Wan looks visibly disgusted, and Anakin bursts out laughing all over again. "That's not a word."

"Would you rather ask Tech to concoct something?" she sasses, "Or Artooie to look something up?" Ahsoka hasn't even met Tech yet, but the Bad Batch is close with the 501st, and she's heard a lot about them.

Speaking of Artoo, even the droid is laughing at them, and Anakin pats his dome.

"No, thank you," Obi-Wan gripes, "I can imagine enough. Perhaps we should remain with first names."

Ahsoka shrugs, settling back in her seat, giggling. "That works, too. I just thought we should go for something a little fancier. Would you prefer Grandfather?"

Anakin wishes Obi-Wan could see the aghast look on his own face. "I am barely old enough to be your uncle."

"You're thirty-eight," Anakin reminds, "She's seventeen. So, technically –" Okay, he's definitely spending too much time with Tech. "– you're old enough to be her father. Even if the age difference is close."

Obi-Wan gives Anakin his best betrayed look. "I am not that old."

"I'm twenty-three," Anakin deadpans, "And I have far more than one child." Biologically, all he has are Luke and Leia, but he has his coven, and they're so much like his children.

"That is entirely different," Obi-Wan gripes.

Ahsoka pokes her head around her seat, glancing at Anakin, still grinning, and they mutually crack up the moment they look at each other.

Obi-Wan eyes them suspiciously. "Did you plan this?"

"No!" they yell the same moment, laughing harder. Probably, it doesn't sound like the truth, but it is.

"I find that difficult to believe," he grumbles.

"Why would I plan to have Anakin blow himself up to bite you?" Ahsoka asks.

Obi-Wan settles back in his seat, crossing his arms.

Ahsoka hops off her seat, stepping over to Anakin's and climbing into his lap. They were often physically affectionate with each other throughout the war, but it became even more true now that they're vampires. (Maybe, they could convince Obi-Wan to learn to appreciate it just as much.) Anakin wraps his arms around Ahsoka, and she twists sideways, dropping her head against his shoulder.

Anakin doesn't bother to stop the instinctive desire to purr, and neither does Ahsoka. It's just what they do now.

Obi-Wan stares almost incredulously at them. "Did you just purr?" he demands.

"What?" Anakin asks, innocently, "We do it all the time." Well, he has no problem with it, even if some of the boys find it weird still.

"You can do it too now," Ahsoka chirps, smirking, "Wanna join us?" As though there's room for him in the cuddle pile.

It's totally worth seeing the Force help me look on Obi-Wan's face. "Absolutely not," he replies, flatly.

"Why not?" Ahsoka pouts, and Anakin laughs again. Probably, he will eventually, though Obi-Wan is new to all of this. It'll take him time to settle in.

"Don't pressure him," Anakin interjects, finally deciding to intervene on Obi-Wan's behalf.

Probably? He'll do it in time, and whenever they're finally able to track down Cody... he'll be glad to know. They lost him when Order 66 was given out. Rex got lucky, as did the rest of the 501st. When Rex turned Ahsoka, their loyalty to her overruled everything else.

They will find him though. Eventually.

Anakin's not going to stop looking, until his entire coven is back together.
