Cassidy raised her middle finger when Usopp threw a wet rag in her face. They were both cleaning Kaya's family's boats again and they could swear it wasn't fun at all.

"I'm going to sink you next to this ship, big-nosed," Cassidy warned his friend, who raised both hands in a sign of peace with a mocking smile.

"Love and peace, dear Cassie," the brunette laughed, concentrating on cleaning the deck of the ship.

Cassidy wiped the remaining water from her face and tied her hair into a messy bun, returning to her work.

"Psst, Cassie," Usopp called again.

The afore mentioned snorted, turning around to look at her best friend.

"Tomorrow is Kaya's birthday, do you already know what you will give her?" asked the great Captain Usopp with a smile.

"She's practically rich, Soppi," he rolled his eyes.
"What do you give to rich people, huh? Clearly not jewelry," she leaned her body on the ship's railing.

Usopp scratched his chin thoughtfully.

"I know!" she snapped her fingers, throwing the wet rag to his shoulder.

"It will be the perfect gift!" he smiled.

Cassidy tilted her head, confused and intrigued at the same time. "What? Come on, tell me, don't leave me wondering, Soppi," she complained.

"Cover me until mid-afternoon! I promise not to take long!" Usopp kissed his friend's forehead quickly and walked away from him jumping with happiness.

"Wait, Usopp! I can not today. . ." she interrupted herself when she noticed the distance of her friend.
"Damn, he's already gone," she snorted, resuming her work.

She was used to Usopp sneaking out of work most afternoons and covering for him. The brunette always found a good excuse to leave, although they didn't work with Cassidy, she knew perfectly well that he was sneaking out to see Kaya and tell her about her wonderful adventures as a pirate.
Oh the love.

Cassidy furrowed her eyebrows as she kept her gaze fixed on the object in front of her, trying to find its shape or perhaps know what it was.

"And this is supposed to be. . .?" the brunette spoke, still with her gaze fixed on the object.

"That's great, Cassie. And here I thought you were the smarter of the two," Usopp denied, receiving a strong blow on the shoulder from his friend.

"I'm the smarter of the two," she corrected, crossing her arms.
"But I don't see the point in that. Why would you give her a. . . whatever that is?" she asked, even more confused.

"To tell you the great adventure behind how I got it," he winked, followed by a perfect smile that showed his radiant teeth.

Cassidy's heart softened and a pout graced her lips.
"Aww, you're so cute, Soppi," he mocked in a honeyed voice, patting Usopp's blushing cheeks.

"Enough, stop. It's not cute, shut up," the sniper complained, receiving a laugh from Cassidy.

"Usopp has a girlfriend and they kiss a lot, mua mua mua," she hummed, simulating kissing noises just as she joined her fingers as a sign of two kissing mouths, making Usopp laugh.

"Enough!"

Cassidy continued with her great mockery, while Usopp tried to silence her by placing his hands around her mouth.
Cassidy gave him a large lick on the palm of his hand, causing Usopp's lips to curl into a noticeable grimace of displeasure.

"That's disgusting, Cassie!" Usopp was disgusted.

"Kaya and Usopp are going to kiss! They are going to kiss and of course they are going to get married!" the brunette hummed, maintaining her mocking smile.
"Oh oh! "I ask to be the godmother at the wedding," she applauded, really excited.

Usopp denied with a smile.
"No one is getting married, silly," he stopped her.

"Buu, how boring you are, Soppi."

━♡

Usopp put his arms around Cassidy's shoulders, who was leaning against the head of the ship that they had to clean that afternoon. They were both chatting about Kaya, well of course, she was the only thing Usopp talked about.

Both friends stopped their conversation just when a young man with brown hair inspected the ship with admiration and caution, delicately touching each part of it slowly.

"What a beauty, right?" Usopp spoke, separating himself from his friend to lean both elbows on the ship's railing.

"Did you speak?" the brunette murmured in astonishment, making Cassidy laugh.

"Mmm, no," Cassidy denied, peering over the head of the ship.

"Yo, this way," Usopp warned, waving his hand repeatedly.
"Hey," he greeted.

"This ship is impressive," the young man in the straw hat complimented, approaching both friends.

"Yep," Usopp said, cleaning up the remains of bird poop on the deck.

"Tell me a little about her," the brunette asked towards both of them.

Cassidy waved her hands at Usopp.

"Drum roll please," she simulated drums, banging her head.
"Trumpets," he asked and Cassidy instantly obeyed.

The boy with the hat watched them with a curious and amused expression.

"Caravel class, top-of-the-line. Ninety-six feet of pure luxury," Usopp recounted.
"Whipstaff rudder, full galley. Canon decks fore and aft," he kissed the tips of her fingers, blowing a kiss into the air.

"And is she fast?" He spoke really amazed.

"The fastest" Usopp replied.
"There's nothing in the East Sea that beats this baby."

He patted the ship's railing and let out a soft sigh.
Cassidy rolled her eyes.

"She's not the fastest, but she has her advantages."
She winked at the brunette, who gave her a friendly smile.

"It's perfect," he said.

"You're absolutely right," Usopp agreed, continuing with the cleaning.

Cassidy crossed her arms behind her head, feeling the sun's rays hit her face, when a third voice became present.

"There you were," an orange-haired woman intervened, appearing at the scene with a green-haired man.

"Hey!"

The brunette jumped down, raising both arms with enthusiasm.
"I found her. I found our boat."

They both stopped their walk, observing the ship with curiosity.

"And they are going to sell it to us," he pointed to the duo of friends with his thumb.

Immediately all eyes turned to them and Cassidy smiled mockingly.

"You guys got confused," Cassidy spoke to them, leaning her elbow on the railing.

Usopp quickly got off the ship and spoke with some nervousness.

"Wait. . . what?"

"Yes. The ship, we'll take it" the boy responded with a broad smile.

"Actually, it's not for sale," Usopp said, somewhat embarrassed.

"And in reality. . . We are not sellers," Cassidy completed, positioning herself next to Usopp.

"Do they even work here?" The woman with orange strands raised an eyebrow.

"I mean, of course it is," Usopp nodded firmly.
"I am the technical leader in charge of encrustacean and aviary waste removal."

"Encru. . . what?" the brunette spoke, confused.

"We remove barnacles and clean up bird poop," Cassidy spoke, shrugging her shoulders with a little smile.

"They are of no use to us."

"Let's see, let's see, let's see. Of course we serve them," the dark-haired man stopped them.

"It turns out that the owner of this ship is our great childhood friend," Usopp communicated.

"Is your friend the owner of this ship?" he orange-haired girl asked, raising both eyebrows.

"Not just this one. She owns everything you see," he smiled widely and Cassidy elbowed him, giving him a mocking look.

"Umh, she's. . . seriously rich."

The boy in the hat looked at them clearly amazed.

"We can reach an agreement with her," Cassidy suggested.

Usopp nodded with a smile, one that rubbed off on the brunette next to them.

"Well, going to say hello doesn't hurt," the young woman in blue clothes accepted.

Cassidy smiled, crossing her arms again.
