I waved as everyone hopped into the van and left.
"That was fun."
I felt Simon start kissing my neck.
"What are you doing?"
"We haven't made love here yet."
I laughed and pushed him off.
"I'm tired. I haven't slept today."
Ghost sighed but followed me to the room.
Bzzt... Bzzt...Bzzt...
"Who's texting you at this hour?" I asked.
"I don't know. I'll check it tomorrow."
He pulled me into his arms and took off his mask.
I stared at him and he stared down at me.
"What is it?"
"Nothing."
"I love you." He said and I smiled.
"I love you too."
"So you want to get pregnant, huh?"
I laughed.
"Maybe."
"You don't want to wait for Kiara to grow older?"
I shrugged.
"You pick."
"We should both pick."
"I say we just fuck and see what happens." I smiled and he nodded.
"Okay."
I sat on my couch and wiped the tears from my eyes.
It's been three months since we moved in together and everything is awful.
Ghost has been secretive with his phone and steps away to take phone calls.
He stays up late texting or he'll stay awake all night.
I told all this to Konig and he showed me a video of Ghost talking on the phone.
He was talking with Kat.
You can't hear much on the video but Konig said they were making plans to meet up and that Ghost was planning on eating more than Kat's homemade pasta that night.
"Get out." I demanded.
"But YN! Don't you see!" Koing begged.
"I said get out. I need to be alone. Besides, Ghost will be home soon."
"Are you sure you don't want me to be here with you?"
"I'm sure."
Koing sighed but left.
I burst into tears and screamed.
How could he do this to me!?
Is she the one that got away!?
He'd cheat on me!?
I wanted to throw crap around and make a mess of the place.
Make the house look how I felt.
But no.
I got up, took a shower and started on dinner.
I heard the door open and Ghost walked into the kitchen with a sleeping Kiara in his arms.
"Hey! I made your favorite!"
"Thanks, but eat without me. I have to go somewhere tonight. I'll be eating dinner there."
He passed me the sleeping bundle and walked towards the stairs.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay? Maybe just a bite?" I followed him.
"Not today. Save me a plate for tomorrow."
"But-"
"I have to get ready. I'll see you when I get back."
"I want a baby! I want to make it now!"
He stopped walking and turned to look at me.
"Maybe later." And with that he kept walking up the stairs.
He's never turned down sex before.
I looked down at Kiara.
She opened her little eyes and smiled at me.
I hiccup and a tear slipped down my cheek and landed on her face.
She seemed taken aback and reached for my face.
I walked into her room and sat her on my lap as I sat on the rocking chair after closing the door.
