Mira's POV
I'm at the grill with Bonnie. "I can't believe he is nearly 3 months old already" she states.
"I know right, it feel like only yesterday I found out I was pregnant. But now he's here and I love him so much" I state.
"He has us all wrapped around his little finger" she states giggling.
"He sure does" Jeremy states as he joins us. Just then Liz appears in her sheriff uniform. We all wish her a good morning as Grayson babbles happily as Jeremy takes him from Bonnie.
"Morning you three" Liz says. "Mira, may I have a word?" she asks. I nod my head and left Grayson with the other two.
"What's up?" I ask her.
"Have you heard from Tyler recently?" she asks me.
"Not spoken to him in a few days, why?" I ask her.
"He ran away from home last night" she tells me
"What?" I exclaim shocked.
"So you had no idea he was thinking about leaving?" she asks.
"No, I know it's been hard since his dad died. Things seemed better with his uncle here, then his uncle left. Could he of gone to see Mason?" I suggest.
"Doubtful, Mason Lockwood is missing" she tells me. "A few days ago, a friend of his arrived in town. He never returned to Florida like his text said" she states. I frown in confusion. "Let me know if you here from him, ok. His mum is very worried" she tells me.
"I will and I hope you find him" I tell her. She nods and left. I go back to the others and take Grayson.
"What was that about?" Jeremy asks me curious.
"Tyler ran away from home last night, but I can't understand why he'd do such a thing" I state.
"Ah incoming" Jeremy says and I see Luka heading our way.
"You want to tell me what the hell happened yesterday?" Luka asks Bonnie. As Grayson starts to fuss. It's nearly time for his next feed, but I should check his diaper also.
"Sorry?" Bonnie asks confused.
"Don't play dumb. You both were here and..." Luka trials off.
"And?" Jeremy asks.
"And that's all I remember. One minute I'm playing pool and the next I'm waking up in a bathroom stall" Luka states.
"Had you been drinking?" I ask him.
"No" he says.
"Sorry, Luka, but everything seemed normal yesterday. I mean, I brought you a coffee and we played pool" Bonnie states.
"See, I think you're lying" Luka sneers. Jeremy gets up and shoves Luka away from Bonnie.
"And I think you need to back off" Jeremy tells him. Luka looks at us and left.
"What was that about?" I demand.
"I'll tell you later" Jeremy assures me.
"You had better" I tell him. "I have to go check Grayson's diaper and fed him. You two have fun" I tell them. I grab the nappy bag and headed to the bathroom. I check his diaper and it's soaked. So I changed it for a fresh one, cleaning him first. I then take out a blanket and cover us. I feed and burp him.
Before leaving the bathroom. I see Jenna with Elijah, Ric, Andie and Damon. Odd. I head over curious. "No, you know what? We should continue this. Let's have a dinner party" Andie suggests as I draw in earshot.
"Ooh, my girl. Full of good ideas. I'll be happy to host. Say tonight. Maybe?" Damon asks and I frown. He is up to something.
"It's good for me. Jenna?" Andie asks.
"Yeah, I'm free" Jenna says.
"It'd be a pleasure" Elijah says with a smile.
"May I join?" I ask as I join them. Jenna smiles taking a sleepy Grayson from me.
"Of course you can" she says with a smile.
"There'll be alcohol" Damon states.
"So, it's Matt's night off. He'll mind Grayson, unless you don't want me there for some reason Damon" I say.
"I'd be delighted if you joined us Mira" Elijah states.
"Excellent" I say with a smile and take Grayson back. "I'll tell Matt and see you all tonight" I tell them. Before going off in search of Matt.
(Time skip)
So Matt was more then happy to look after Grayson while I came to the dinner party. I arrived before Elijah and Damon reluctantly let me in. I went to the kitchen to help Jenna and Andie with the food. "See you've been practicing" Jenna states.
"I'm a mum now, I have to be able to cook for my son" I state. She smiles and we hear the door open again. She goes to investigate and turns out it's Elijah. We soon all sit down to enjoy dinner and I notice John has joined us, yeah.
"I hate to break it to you, Damon, but according to Elijah, your family is so not a founder of this town" Jenna states.
"Hmm, do tell" Damon says intrigued.
"Well, as I mentioned to Jenna earlier, a faction of settlers migrated from Salem after the witch trials in the 1690s. Over the next hundred years they developed this community where they could feel safe from persecution" Elijah explains.
"Because they were witches?" I ask and he nods his head.
"Yeah, but there's no tangible proof there were witches in Salem" Andie states.
"Andie's a journalist. Big on facts" Damon tells us.
"Well, the lore says that there was this wave of anti-witch hysteria. It broke out in the neighboring settlement, so these witches were rounded up. They were tied to stakes in a field together and, uh, burned. Some say you could hear the screams from miles around us. They were consumed by the fire" Elijah explains.
"I wouldn't repeat this to the Historical Society" Jenna tells him and I nod my head in agreement.
"It's starting to sound a little like a ghost story to me" John states and I roll my eyes.
"So, why do you want to know the location of these alleged massacres?" Damon asks Elijah.
"You know...a healthy historian's curiosity, of course" Elijah states.
"Of course" Damon says.
"I must say I am surprised to see you here Mira" John says.
"I invited myself, like you did apparently" I drawl.
"Where's Grayson?" he asks.
"Safe with his father" I state. "Can you pass the mashed potatoes?" I ask Ric and he does so. Dinner continues uneventful. As we finished the main course my phone rings. I see it's Matt and head to the kitchen before answering it. I hear Grayson crying. "What's wrong?" I ask Matt concerned.
"I don't know what he wants, I've changed him, fed him, gave him a dummy. But still he cries" he states.
"Have you tried burping him?" I ask.
"One sec" he says and I hear him put the phone down. Not long after Grayson stopped crying. "You were right" he states.
"I know I was" I state. "Do you need me to come back?" I ask him.
"No, I got it. Besides it's nearly time to put him to bed" he tells me.
"Ok, I should be back soon anyway. We just have dessert left" I tell him. "Call if you have trouble getting him to sleep" I state. He agrees and we said goodbye. Jenna and John appear with the dishes. "Let me help, Jenna you should check on dessert" I state and she nods her head. John and I get started on the dishes.
"Dessert will be a little longer, I'll go tell Andie" Jenna states and left the room.
"Any idea what Damon is up to John?" I ask. He nods and turns on blender.
"Plans on killing Elijah" he whispers. "Though he'll die himself" he says with a smirk. I sigh and roll my eyes.
"Elijah has done nothing but kept his word, you all should give him a chance" I state. I turn the blender off. "Nice talk John" I say and left for the dining room.
"Everything ok with Grayson?" Ric asks me.
"Yeah, he's fine. Just had wind" I state. As Jenna goes to check on dessert again. As John joins, Elijah, Andie and I at the table.
"So...I know this is a social thing, but I...I would really love to ask you some more questions about the work that you're doing here" Andie tells Elijah.
"I'd love to answer" Elijah tells her.
"Great, that's so great" Andie says smiling. As Ric and Damon enter the room. Damon sits down and glares across the table at John. Guess he figured out John was going to let him die trying to kill Elijah. "Ric, would you do me a favor and grab the notebook out of my bag?" she asks. Ric headed over to her bag.
"Elijah, did John tell you he's Elena and Mira's uncle-slash-father?" Damon asks.
"Yes, I'm well aware of that" Elijah states.
"Of course, they both hate him, so there's absolutely no need to keep him on the endangered species list" Damon tells him.
"I don't hate John, I just don't trust him currently" I correct him.
"No Ric, it's in the front pocket. On the...you know what? Excuse me, guys. Sorry" Andie says and left the table. To go help Ric find her notebook.
"What I'd like to know, Elijah, is how do you intend on killing Klaus?" John asks.
"Gentlemen, my lady there's a few things we should probably get clear right now. I allow you men to live solely to keep an eye on Elena and Mira. I allow them to remain in their house living their lives with their friends as they does as a courtesy. If you become a liability, I'll take them both away from you and you'll never see them again" Elijah states.
"I won't leave my son" I snap giving him a pointed look. As Andie sits down with her notebook.
"Okay. My first question is when you got here to Mystic" she starts to say as Ric comes up behind Elijah. He suddenly stabs the dagger through his heart through the back of his chair. Elijah screams and dies. Ric pulls the dagger out and places it on the table.
"Now, get rid of him before Jenna comes back with dessert" Ric tells Damon. Who agrees and took Elijah away.
"You know, I just lost my appetite" I state standing up. "Tell Jenna I left" I tell Andie before leaving the house. I get in my car and drive to Matt's. When I arrive I enter the house.
"You're early" Matt states as he appears.
"Didn't feel like dessert, Grayson asleep?" I ask. He nods his head. "We both should get ready for bed, if you still want to go hiking tomorrow with Grayson" I state. Matt agrees and we go to our separate rooms. I got ready for bed and called it a night.
