The flames fade away, you stand up barely able to stand as the burst of strength from before has faded. Kage smiles and places his hand on his face. Your friends begin to stumble towards you and surround you and face themselves at Kage...
Ren: Y/N! Are you alright?
You: My body is on fire... Does that answer your question?
Futaba: Having you back is all that matters... We need to retreat and come back when we are at 100%!
You: That's not going to happen.
Ryuji: What do you mean..!? Most of us are already one foot in the grave with these injuries... My brain is mush.
Morgana: Your brain was already mush before coming here Ryuji!
Ryuji: Shut it you silly cat!
Ann: Then what do you want us to do? Take on Kage like this?!
Yusuke: None of us are capable of fighting in our current state, and neither are you Y/N!
You: I know. But even if I wanted to leave I can't.
Makoto: What?!
You: If I leave now I will just fade away... I don't have a body anymore. I am just a corporeal essence. We are connected and he has the keys to the body. This is do or die for me and me alone.
Ren: But-
You: You guys said it yourselves... You're in no shape in fighting him. I'm not doing so hot either. But I have to do this myself. So please, trust me and leave.
Makoto: But we just got you back! What if you don't win!?
You: Then I will make sure he won't either. I'll stop him no matter what...
Makoto: No I can't leave-
You stop her dead in her words as you pull her into a kiss. She lets down her guard and kisses back and embraces you. You break away and turn away from her, smiling at yourself. Your friends stare a little embarrassed and don't know what to say or do...
You: Trust me. I'll handle this...
Ren: Alright. Come on guys... This place is becoming unstable the longer it stays and we won't make it if we don't hurry up!
Morgana: Alright! Everyone hop on! I'll drive us down the slope!
Everyone starts running and dragging Makoto with them. She reaches out towards you and with tears in her eyes, she begs for you to come with but you drown everything out as you watch as Kage is laughing to himself as this was all happening. Left bare, you are shirtless with only your pants and boots. Your hair is a mess and your face shows signs of exhaustion...
Kage: Are you done with your whole reunion..?
You: Yes. Now it's time to finish this... Once and for all...
Kage: I have my Persona... You have nothing but the skin on your back.
You: I have my friend's faith and trust in me. That is more than enough to beat you. I won't be backing down and I won't lose either.
Kage: *Laughs* You remind me of the time I thought the same... But the world is just as cruel and you must be ruthless if you want to make your mark in the world. That is why I want to destroy this pitiful place and cause endless chaos!
You: I can't believe I shared a body with someone like you.
Kage: You know... I used to think everything was all sunshine and rainbows... But after knowing that everyone was fake... Everyone was just a tool to be used. I had no more reservations about hiding behind a mask to satisfy everyone. Everyone and everything will satisfy me!
You: What are you saying..?
Kage: The memories of my life have made you confused.
You:..!
Kage: Growing up... Before the whole incident, I used my status and power to bring everyone down to their knees! Everyone feared me. The people I called "friends" just wanted to use me so I would give them money. Girls threw themselves at me for money! I hated it... Despised being treated like some bug that people can mock and use!
You: Kage...
Kage: NO! NO MORE! I REFUSE! I won't make the same mistakes again...! And I didn't...! So I let girls flaunt me and gave them what they wanted and they gave me what I wanted. And then I tossed them aside.. Ruining their images and status so that they would feel the same shame as I did! Those stupid bitches didn't know the dirt and shit I brought to them! *Laughs wildly* I used every one I could... Until that day... I was trapped by some stupid gang all because I put them down... They had enough and decided to teach me a lesson. They hit me until I could barely stand. I hated it! I hated them! I wanted the pain to stop! I didn't want any of it! And just like that... You appeared in my life... The Shadow Persona... Kage. Using your power I fought back... Putting all of them in the hospital, making sure they regret ever crossing me! But the power was too much and I fell unconscious and that is when I was brought to Japan.
You: So everything wasn't as it was...
Kage: Your memories were just rewritten to satisfy your stupid childish thoughts and feelings. That is when they came and decided to make me stronger.
You: Who?
Kage: That Dark Knight. Him and his boss. They were able to reach me in my state. I spoke with them and in return, they would make me stronger, able to retain control with this power. The power of a Persona. I agreed and so they used you to carry out their dirty work. Training my body and training my Persona to become stronger and making their enemies go away. However... I realized that I was just going to be a tool for them all the same... So...! I hid my true intentions!
You: What are you talking about!?
Kage: You know our destiny was more than just this! With all of this power and my awakening! I will become stronger than both of them! I will wipe them out and take over everything! I will rule this country and this world! With this power, I will destroy all those who stand in my way!
You: Then you were the one killing me this whole time.
Kage: After you started to stray from your goal. They decided to give you a special "Disease" that without taking a special "Medicine" you would die a painful death.
You: The medicine...you...
Kage: They made me a disease within you that was slowly eating you up from the inside. And the medicine that they gave you was just a suppressant of your own Persona.
You: That means..!
Kage: That is right... You have been feeding me power this entire time. Every time you took those pills. I was getting stronger and coming back better than before. Until the day I would take over and retain my power once more! Until you met that bitch in the lab coat!
You: T..Takemi!?
Kage: She didn't know why the pills were designed that way but she reduced the strength while treating me! So I needed to act as fast as I could to make you lose control. And the moment you did, I would be able to take over. Didn't it feel odd that you would feel joy in killing? Wasn't it odd that whenever you took those pills in this place you would feel like a different person? It was all me..! And once I dispose of you, I will have them give me the cure to the poison that is in the body still.
You: T..there is already a cure?!
Kage: Of course there is! Why would they risk someone as important to their plans as me? You're a stubborn fool who doesn't know anything! And now that I have fully awakened my Persona I can show them that I am the lord of this world!
You: So it was you... Everything... All the pain I felt... Why I couldn't fully be myself... You stopped me every chance you could from showing my emotions!
Kage: Are you surprised..? However, you're friends are right... This place once stand for much longer so I think I should just finish you here and move on.
You: Not if I take you down first!
Kage: Are you sure if that is possible? If I die you die. That is the end of the story. No matter what happens you will lose.
You: Did you think I didn't know about our connection this whole time... It was just a matter of time before I just realized what I needed to finally do.
Kage: Wait...! Don't you even! Don't do it!
You: It's time I stop worrying about myself and take matters into my own hands...!
Reaching deep within yourself, you grab the cord that connects your life to Kage. The cord that kept you alive and able to still be alive in the real world. You grasp it tightly and rip the connection straight out of your chest and shatter it in your fist. Kage stares as his hold over you is broken...
Kage: You idiot!!
You: All I did was make sure you had no more hold over me.
Kage: You just signed your death! You can never get out of here!
You: No... I just gave myself my freedom... From this curse. From this hell. I am more determined to stop you than ever before Kage...
Kage: You...! Fuck you!!! I'll show you those who defy me and my power! PERSONA!!!!!!!!
Kage has a black shadowy mask that appears on his face that he quickly rips off which causes a massive burst of purple flames to surround his body. His Persona now evolved, takes shape and form. Standing tall behind him the giant humanoid shadow shrinks down and overlaps itself with him. The shadowy flames around him burn into him and soon his clothes start to change and begins to wear the same outfit as you once did using your Persona. Kage's eyes darken and a golden sheen pierces through them as he stares at you with immense hatred. You stand there unfazed and watch him grow stronger. The fear within your heart has been replaced with determination and courage.
Kage: Witness the power! Of the Consuming Shadow! All will be basked in my shadow and fall beneath it!
Kage reaches into the shadows and pulls forth a familiar black shadowy blade and grasps it. Drawing the blade, he grips it tightly and begins to approach you.
Kage: You have nothing... I will finish your miserable life!
You: That is where you are wrong Kage... No.... Y/N L/N.
Kage:...!
You: The truth is right in front of us. And I will make sure we both see that truth...
Kage: The truth..? The truth is that you are not a human being. You are nothing but a useless and worthless empty husk that has no right to live in this world! Your emotions, your thoughts, your dreams! All of it! Lies and fakery!
You: That was true at the time. But you misrepresent what that means to me. What my friends and those I care about mean to me.
Kage: Your entire life is nothing but a shadow of mine! Posing as me! Your relationships aren't anything!
You: That is why...
You feel a piercing sting that hits your chest. A warm fire begins to light within you. Grasping the determination of your life. You close your eyes and take a deep breath and feel your lungs expand. Taking in all of the wishes of your friends and those you love once again. The aura around you starts to calm and swirl around you. Kage notices this and stops in his tracks as the sudden turn of your presence catches him off guard.
You: I will carry their hopes and dreams along with me... I will tell them once again my dreams and ideals... I will laugh with them once again and this time let it be my own choice. I won't run away from my problems. I will tackle anything that stands in my way! When I do I will tell them that I want them to be by my side... So that I can have her... Makoto... Stay by my side and tell her...
The power within you begins to manifest. The single image of Makoto fuels every thought and motion. Stirring the aura around you. Your right-hand starts to burn hot and you begin to raise it in front of you and the palm facing toward you. You strain a little as you try to close the fist to grab ahold of this power. But you struggle with some conflict within you. Facing forward you have to admit your problems and remove them from your heart. Be true to yourself and move forward!
You: That is why I will tell her...
Your fingers twitch as you slowly begin to start closing your fist. Your eyes open and you feel your determination sparking. Feeling the sparks you push forward and accept the feelings once more...
You: I'll tell her... THAT I LOVE HER!!!!!
You clench and close your right fist in front of you. The moment you do there is a bright white flash and spark. Then a big eruption of sliver blue flames consumes you. A giant pillar of flames reaches and soars into the sky, a blinding beacon of light overtakes the tower. The power of determination and courage fuels the flames. The sliver blue flames wrap around you and soon they burn into your skin, shifting and molding over. The flames take shape and form as your attire has completely changed. A platinum-shining color washes over you, revealing your form. Standing tall, you are fitted in a set of armor, a sliver gauntlet encases your arm and your shoulder with a piece that extends to your chest plate. The design of the armor is lightweight with a refined elegant detail of your features. The lightly armored pants to the black boots still show off your personality. The chest piece still covers over a black vest-like tight shirt with a white overcoat that hangs low to your feet. The collar of the coat extends past your jaw with a sliver black lining going down the outline of the coat. The sleeves stop at the wrists where you have black fingerless gloves that fit nicely and tight. Sliver white streaks have overwritten the black color of your hair. You open your eyes and stare at Kage who has witnessed your transformation. That is when an overwhelming presence speaks...
???: I am thou...Thou art I...
Kage: N..No... That is impossible..! You're not even human..!! You can't manifest a Persona!!
???: The soul of the restless... The strength of the courageous... I am justice and justice is I... I am the Platnum Avenger...
You: I am the embodiment of justice... And with justice, I shall wield the power of my soul.
Kage: This can't be... A... Persona... A Shadow... Becoming a human!?
Behind you, a giant figure hovers tall and proud. A dragon of Platnum skin, its wings sprout wide and strong. The sliver blue eyes pierce through the intense stare as the sliver blue flames surround both of you. Opening your eyes, the sliver blue sheen sparkles to life, and a hazy effect leaks out to the side of your eyes...
You: I summon you... Bahamut! My justice. My Persona...
