I quietly and slowly crawled through the air vents.
I'm gonna die. They're gonna hear me, shoot and ima die.
Crawl crawl crawl.
That's all you can do.
Crawl.
I made it to the exit and kicked out the vent, hopping out and landing on the grass.
I made it!
I sprinted towards the tree line and smiled.
"AGH!"
I fell to the floor and coughed.
Blood splattered the grass and I place a hand on my stomach.
I've been shot.
At least the bullet is all the way out.
I got up and ran again, trying to ignore the pain.
As I ran, I placed the USB in a protective container and swallowed it.
I could lose it if I put it in my pocket, but I'll know where it is if I have it in my stomach.
"UGH!"
I fell again, this time my shoulder was bleeding.
"Ugh, fuck... FUCK!" I shouted as I was shot again before I could fully stand up.
"Stay down, Lieutenant." The four men walked toward me with pointed guns.
I huffed and sat up with my back to them, wondering how far I'd get to reach for my gun before they riddled my body with bullets.
"Hand over the USB."
I put my hands up and glanced to the side.
I could hear rushing water and I wondered if I could make it to the river.
Probably not, my shoulder and calf are bleeding like shit.
"I won't repeat myself, hand it over." Ghost came closer.
Close enough for me to kick his gun up and out of his hands.
"AGH! I grunted as he jumped on me and stabbed me in the side of my stomach. "FUCK!"
Ghost twisted the knife and ripped off my cloth mask.
"YN?"
I coughed up blood and slipped on some mud, sliding and rolling all the way down to the rushing water.
BONK!
I slammed into a rock and fell unconscious.
I think it was only for a few seconds because I woke up under water.
Shit.
I swam up and gasped for air, coughing up water and nasty tasting blood.
I tried to swim but it was almost impossible to control where I was going when I kept slamming into rocks, getting dragged under and pulled by the current, plus, my arm and leg had been shot.
I looked up before I went under and then came back up.
Stars.
I see the stars.
I always wanted to die looking at the stars.
I heard someone call my name, but it was far.
I stopped fighting and felt the tears.
How will they keep the sanctuary going if I can't make it out and provide for them?
I went under again.

Suddenly a hand broke through the water and grabbed my suit.
I was pulled up and I gasped for air, but I got a mouthful of water.
I was suddenly being yanked through the waves and I felt weak.
I am weak.
I couldn't keep my eyes open.
I couldn't.
They were to heavy.
