————————

(Second Person POV)

You fell onto the couch, feeling tired and worn out. Work had been tough lately, and you finally had a day off to relax. With nobody else at home, you grabbed the remote and started watching your favorite show, "Good Girls," on Netflix. The exciting story and interesting characters helped you forget about your own problems. You got really into it, eager to see what would happen next.

As the episodes played, you found comfort in the show's familiar and funny moments. It took your mind off the things that had been bothering you. The characters on the screen felt like friends, giving you a break from your own life.

But as the day turned into evening, you couldn't help but worry about your son Jisung. He had been out with his friends for a while, and you wondered when he would come back home. So, you paused the show and called him on the phone, tapping your fingers nervously.

"Dad...?" Jisung answered, sounding surprised and a little amused.

"Where are you? It's so late!?? When are you coming home?" you asked with sass in your voice.

"Dad, it's like 9 pm... chill out," Jisung chuckled. "I'm hanging out with my friends, but don't worry, I'll be home soon. One of them paid for my Uber."

"You better be... So, last week on your birthday, what was the gift you wanted? Please tell me because I feel bad for not giving you any gifts, you know that," M/n said, a hint of regret in his voice.

"I'll tell you when I get home, but don't get mad, okay? Bye~" Jisung replied.

"Byee"

You ended the call with a confused face.

"'But don't get mad?' Hmm, why would he say that?" you murmured to yourself, trying to make sense of Jisung's words.

A few minutes passed, and you found yourself drifting off to sleep. The thought of how Jisung would enter the house didn't even cross your mind as you dozed off, completely unaware. Fortunately, Jisung had his own set of keys.

Suddenly, you felt a gentle tap on your shoulder, causing you to jolt awake as if startled from a nightmare.

"AHH!" you sat up.

"It's me," Jisung chuckled.

(Third Person POV)

"Sooo, I'll tell you what I want for my birthday, even though it's already over, but since you wanted to give me a gift, sooo..." Jisung began.

"Yes, what is it...? I'm waiting..." M/n responded.

"I want Dad to come visit here-"

"WHAT? Xiaojun? What, why???" M/n exclaimed.

"Can he come?—" Jisung started to ask but was interrupted.

"No! He can't. He's probably busy," M/n interjected.

"No, he's not. I talked to him," Jisung replied.

In yet another episode of Jisung pleading to see his other dad, M/n couldn't help but feel irritated every time this request came up.

"Well, I just don't want to, then," M/n stated firmly.

"Why not?" Jisung questioned, a hint of desperation in his voice.

"Because shit happened, Jisung. I thought you already knew?" M/n replied, rolling their eyes.

"Well, I-I'll tell him not to interact with you, pleaaaaseee," Jisung begged, hoping to change M/n's mind.

"Hell. No," M/n insisted, their voice firm.

"Fine!!! I'll just go to his place," Jisung replied, frustration evident in his tone.

"No! It's my only day off, and no one will take you there,"

"Well, he can just pick me up?" Jisung suggested.

"I said no. Absolutely not,"

"Please? It's for my birthday. I promise I don't have any ulterior motives... I just miss him. You understand, right? Please, Dad," Jisung pleaded.

"Fuck- fine... Just... ugh. I'll only talk to you tomorrow, and only in this house," M/n relented, feeling exhausted. He was so  fed up with Jisung, but he couldn't resist his request any longer and agreed to it.

"That's kinda mean," Jisung expressed, a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"That's what you said, hm?" M/n replied, not budging.

"Maybe just a little 'hi' and then done?" Jisung suggested, trying to find a compromise.

M/n rolled his eyes and walked away, heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth and get ready for bed. As he lay down, thoughts raced through his mind about what would happen if Xiaojun came over the next day. M/n didn't particularly like the request, finding it rather awkward, but he wanted to make Jisung happy. However, the prospect of the encounter filled M/n with unease.

"Fuck," M/n thought to himself, feeling uncertain about the situation.

The next day arrived, and M/n had NO desire to get out of bed. He had a plan in mind to stay in his room all day until Xiaojun left—the person he weren't exactly thrilled to see.

M/n sat up, his gaze fixed on nothing as he zoned out. He had woken up pretty late, realizing it was already 11:39 am. Curiosity hit, M/n decided to check on Jisung, only to find him awake and busy cooking breakfast.

"Since when do you wake up before me?" M/n asked, reaching for a tea sachet.

"I always do sometimes," Jisung replied with a smirk.

M/n couldn't help but ask, "Is he coming?"

Jisung burst into laughter. "Why would you ask that?" he said between laughs.

"So I can prepare myself and lock myself in the room, obviously..." M/n responded in a sassy tone, chuckling a little.

"I know you miss him," Jisung teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

M/n scoffed, "Bull."

Jisung chuckled. "Yeah, right..."

"Jisung, I swear to God, if you tease me again with this shit..." M/n warned, their tone laced with annoyance.

Jisung burst into uncontrollable laughter, finding M/n's reaction amusing.

M/n decided it was time to take a bath. He grabbed his clothes and towel, disappearing into the bathroom. After a few minutes, he emerged, dressed as if he was about to go out. As M/n entered the living room, Jisung had a confused expression, trying to make sense of their appearance.

"Why are you dressed like that?" Jisung asked, lowering the volume of the TV.

"I'm going out."

"What!? Who's going to cook us dinner?" Jisung's eyes widened in surprise.

"You? I thought you were learning?"

"Yeah, but no one beats your incredible cooking," Jisung teased with a playful smile.

"Jisung, will you stop fooling around? Can't you just order something?"

"Okay! But I want you to be here too. It's your day off, and I miss you too... not just him. Please, just be with me," Jisung pleaded.

"Lord help me, alright... Should I only cook for you?" M/n teased, a smile tugging at their lips.

Jisung tilted his head, furrowing his eyebrows. "Dad!"

"I'm kidding!" M/n chuckled.

Next thing you know, M/n was lying on his bed, engrossed in watching Scream 6. He wanted to appear unbothered about Xiaojun's visit, but deep down, it was really getting to him. M/n made an effort to keep himself entertained and distracted, doing his best to avoid dwelling on it. The intense movie served as a temporary escape, temporarily drawing his attention away from the thoughts thats stuck on his mind.

(Second person POV)

You heard Jisung walk towards the door as a knock echoed through the house. You assumed it was Xiaojun because who else would come...? Oh, right, maybe your 'close friend' neighbor, Yangyang.

You didn't really feel like retreating to your room, but your stomach grumbled loudly. It had been so long since you last ate, and now you were faced with a dilemma. What were you going to do?

"Shit. Okay... you got this," you muttered to yourself, mustering up some courage.

With one thing on your mind—food—you stepped out, determined. You kept your gaze fixed straight ahead and NEVER look sideways. All you had to do was focus on reaching the kitchen without any unnecessary distractions.

"Hey," Xiaojun approached.

"Holy fucking Christ, he did not just say that," you whispered under your breath.

"Hi," you replied with an awkward smile.

"How are you doing? It's been so long, hm?" Xiaojun asked.

"Me and Jisung are fine. You don't really have to worry," you replied, trying to keep the conversation going.

"I'm not. I know that. I just miss you and our son," Xiaojun said, catching you off guard.

"This bitch did not just... AHHHH," you thought to yourself, internally screaming. You could see Jisung's evil DAMN smile at the back, clearly enjoying the awkwardness.

"O-oh... Well... Have you eaten? I-uhhh cooked something," you said, stumbling over your words.

"Yeah, I missed your meals," Xiaojun chuckled.

"So... How's everything at your place?" you asked, attempting to turn the conversation to a more casual tone, though secretly, you wished it would end soon.

(third person POV)

"All good. Felt lonely recently, you know..." Xiaojun replied, and M/n simply nodded.

"Okay, you guys have fun. I'm just gonna head to my room," M/n said, walking away with snacks in hand.

"Is he always pissed at me?" Xiaojun asked Jisung.

"I mean... yeah," Jisung replied honestly.

Meanwhile, in his room, M/n felt the need to talk to a friend for the rest of the day. He called Yangyang and his friend quickly agreed to come.

(Second person POV)

Just patiently waiting for Yangyang, you heard a knock on the door of your room. You quickly stood up and opened it, only to find Xiaojun standing there.

"...Yes?" M/n asked, a hint of sass in their voice.

"Have you not heard me?" Xiaojun asked.

"What... do you mean—" M/n started to talk, but Xiaojun interrupted them.

"I said I missed you. I miss you. Come on, M/n..." Xiaojun pleaded, holding both of M/n's hands.

"Xiaojun... it's been almost 9 months since we were together. Can't we move past that?" M/n replied, slowly letting go of Xiaojun's hand.

"I'm trying! I... I can't... I really need you. You and Jisung, imagine how much I miss him too," Xiaojun's eyes started to well up with tears.

"Well, Jisung does visit you... but what about me?" M/n asked.

"Something's missing whenever I'm not around you two," Xiaojun said.

They looked at each other, and M/n felt guilty about what Xiaojun was feeling. But that didn't change the fact of what Xiaojun had done to them.

The tension in the room was something... Xiaojun unexpectedly leaned in and planted a quick kiss on M/n's lips. M/n's initial reaction was to resist, but his body betrayed him, and he found himself kissing back.

Just as the atmosphere began to heat up, the door suddenly opened, revealing Yangyang standing there. He blinked a few times, clearly caught off guard. Before attempting to make a quick exit, he spoke up.

"Oh... my bad."

M/n and Xiaojun immediately distanced themselves from each other, the awkwardness filling the air. The situation had become embarrassing and uncomfortable.

"Okay... uh, you should go now," M/n told Xiaojun, trying to break the tension.

With Xiaojun gone, things started to return to normal. Yangyang entered M/n's room, apologizing for the awkward scene he had just witnessed.

While Xiaojun left with a disappointed expression on his face, he made his way to Jisung's room.

"Hey, who was that guy?" Xiaojun asked, curious about the unexpected visitor.

"Oh, that's Dad's 'close friend,' Mr. Yangyang," Jisung replied nonchalantly.

Xiaojun scoffed. "Close friend, huh?"

"What? Are you jealous or something?" Jisung teased, grinning widely.

"No, no. I really don't care," Xiaojun rolled his eyes, trying to brush off any hint of jealousy.

Well, that was quite an embarrassing moment for M/n. Just the thought of being in that situation made him cringe. A few minutes later, as Jisung went to get a drink, he asked M/n a surprising question.

"Could Dad stay the night?"

"What!? Is his visit not enough?" M/n replied with an annoyed expression.

"But it's really lateee and like dark, and dangerous outside,"

"Fine. He can sleep on the couch," M/n replied nonchalantly.

"Why not on your bed?" Jisung asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You! Do you want to be grounded? Are you doing this on purpose?" M/n snapped, looking Jisung straight in the eye.

Jisung couldn't help but giggle, finding amusement in M/n's stern expression.
