"Is Woosun almost ready? I wanna see what that girl looks like." Niki asks.
"He should be done." I say, getting up off the couch.
"Are you ready?" I ask from downstairs.
"Yes hyung!" Woosun yells.
I hear his door open, then see him come down the stairs.
"Okay, let's go." I say, grabbing my keys.
We quickly get in the car and start heading towards the skating rink.
"Is that mean lady gonna be there again hyung?" Woosun asks.
"Most likely. I think her brother's on the team."
I see Woosun nod in my mirror.
"If she says something to you again, me and Sunoo hyung will take care of it." Niki says, smiling to Woosun.
We quickly make it to the rink since there was surprisingly no traffic today.
We get out of my car and start walking up to the doors.
"If she tries anything, just know i'm not gonna hold back." Niki whispers.
I roll my eyes, and open the door for the two.
We walk inside, and as expected, that girl Yujin was talking to Sunghoon again.
"Oh, Jake!" Niki exclaims, waving to Jake who was talking to Heeseung.
"Oh, hey guys!" Jake says. waving back.
He says something to Heeseung, then runs over to us.
I look back over to Sunghoon, and he was already looking at me.
I smile a wave, so he waves back.
Yujin glances over at me with a sour look on her face, then quickly changes when Sunghoon says something to her.
Sunghoon says something, then she pouts before walking away.
Woosun runs up to him, so we follow.
"You guys are a bit early." Sunghoon says.
"Yeah, there was no traffic thankfully." I say, messing with my hands.
We just stare at each other for a second, not really knowing what to say.
"Um, let's go get started." He says, walking Woosun into the other rink.
"Why was that so awkward?" Niki asks snorting.
"Shut the fuck up, I didn't know what to say." I say.
"Hyung, that's a bad word." Woosun says.
"Oh yeah, sorry."
"Oh yeah, was that the girl you were telling us about?" Jake asks.
"Yeah." I say.
We walk into the other rink and find a place to sit.
"I saw the way she looked at you. The fuck is her problem?.." Niki says.
"I think it's because Sunghoon sided with me. And she heard him ask me out again." I say.
"Oh, so she's just jealous?" Jake asks.
"I guess so.."
Sunghoon and Woosun started their practice.
Me, Niki, and Jake just talked about random stuff the whole time.
It seemed like their practice went by quickly, because I looked up and Sunghoon was skating towards us.
"Hey um, do you guys wanna skate with us? We finished alot earlier than I thought we would and Woosun wanted me to ask." Sunghoon asks.
"Hell yeah!" Niki exclaims, getting up from where he was sitting.
"Sure!" Jake says, getting up with Niki.
They all look at me, waiting for an answer.
"Uh, I don't know how to skate.." I admit.
"I can teach you." Sunghoon says.
"Oh uh, okay!" I say.
We all give Sunghoon our our shoe sizes, and he goes to get us some skates.
He comes back a few minutes later with three pairs of skates and hands them to us.
"Do you guys need help putting them on?" Sunghoon asks.
"No but thanks. Heeseung taught me already." Jake says, taking off his shoes and putting on the skates.
"I got it." Niki says, putting on the skates.
I had already put the skates on, there was just one thing...
"Uh, I don't know how to tie them.." I say, feeling embarrassed.
I'm the only one here that doesn't know what they're doing.
"Here, I'll help you." Sunghoon says.
He kneels down infront of me and starts to tie the skates.
I could feel my cheeks heating up already.
Geez, what is wrong with me?..
I look over to Jake and Niki, who now had their skates tied and we're waiting for us.
They were both trying to hold in their laughter.
I flip them off, but quickly stop when I see Sunghoon stand up.
"Done." He says.
Jake and Niki stand up on their skates, and step over to the rink.
I try to stand up, but quickly lose balance and fall back into the bench.
Sunghoon holds out his hand for me, and I hesitantly take it.
He slowly helps me off the bench and helps me over to the rink.
I was beyond flustered at this point.
He stepped into the rink and held out his other hand for me.
I grabbed it, and he brought me onto the ice.
Jake and Niki were skating around with Woosun already, while I was over here shaking like crazy, holding on to Sunghoon's hands for dear life.
I almost slip, causing me to grip onto Sunghoon tighter.
"It's okay, I got you." He says. "Here, hold on to my arm."
I do as he says, and grip on to his sleeve.
He starts to skate slowly, dragging me along with him. I tighten my grip, afraid that i'll fall and embarrass myself even more.
"Let's try this again." He says.
He gets infront of me again, and grabs both of my hands.
"Ill skate backwards and pull you. You move your feet like you're skating." He says.
"O-Okay." I say.
He started to skate backwards, so I did what he said and moved my feet.
"See? Youre doing better already." He says smiling.
I could feel my cheeks flushing.
"Wanna try letting go now?" He asks.
"Sure.." I say, regretting my words.
He slowly lets go, so now I was moving on my own.
"You got it, just try and stay balanced." He says.
I skate a bit, but then suddenly I slip, falling backwards.
Before I could hit the ground, Sunghoon quickly caught me by my waist.
"Are you okay?" He asks, looking down at me.
"O-Oh, yeah.." I say.
He helps me up, making sure I keep my balance.
"Do you wanna stop?"
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Uhh, like...six." He says.
"Then I think I should take Woosun home. Our moms gonna kill me if he's home late."
"Ahh okay." He says.
"Woosun! We have to go home now!" I say.
The three of them look over to us and Woosun pouts a bit.
"Aw, okay hyung." He says.
Niki snorts, then looks away.
The fuck is he snorting at?
Jake wiggles his eyebrows at me, then skates over with Niki and Woosun.
"Cute." He says.
What?
Then, it hits me. Sunghoon's arm was still around my waist.
Instead of saying something, I try to skate a bit away. That plan quickly failed and made it worse, because I ended up slipping again.
He again, cause me by my waist and pulled me closer.
He skates while holding on to me to the part of the rink where you can get out, and helps me out.
"Do you need help untying the laces?" Sunghoon asks.
"I think i can get it." I say.
I lift up the skate and attempt to untie it, but of course I couldn't get the knot undone.
Sunghoon chuckles, then kneels down to help me u tie the laces.
This is so embarrassing.
"Hey, don't be embarrassed. I'm happy to help you." He says chuckling.
Jesus, can this guy read minds or something?
"I- I'm not embarrassed." I say.
"Then why is your face red?" He asks teasingly.
I roll my eyes, not wanting to look at him.
He stands back up, then sits next to me and takes his skates off.
"So, about that ice cream thing. Are you both free tomorrow?" Sunghoon asks.
"Yeah, we are." I say, putting on my shoes.
"Then I'll pick you both up."
"Hm, okay." I say.
Sunghoon quickly slips on his shoes and walks with me to the others.
"Heeseungs waiting for me outside. Bye guys!" Jake says, waving to us as he hurries outside.
"Well then, I'll see you guys tomorrow." Sunghoon says, patting Woosun on the head.
"Bye Mr. Park!" Woosun exclaims.
"Bye Woosun. You be good." Sunghoon says.
As we walk out, I see Sunghoon wave to us, so I wave back, then we exit the building.
Once we got in my car, Niki burst out laughing.
"What." I say.
"Did you not notice how he was holding you?" Niki asks.
"Well yeah, I did." I say, rolling my eyes.
"Maybe we should've just left you two there. Looked like you two were on a date." Niki jokes.
"He was just helping me! You know I can't skate to save my life." I say.
"Yeah yeah. That was totally on purpose." Niki laughs.
I'm SO close to just kicking Niki out of my car and making him walk home..
