A few hours after the berg landed, Thèrèse didn't spare any of them a single look — not even Teresa or her father. Only focused on Minho, Sonya and Aris. Throughout the ride, Thèrèse wants to hold Teresa's hands so badly, as she was the only one who understood her. But realising she had lost Bea forever, she felt as if she just makes the biggest, wrong decision ever. That's because she is.

The drivers of the bergs landed the berg in some sort of a big center of rooftop, on top of a large building. Ava Paige was the first to step out, Carter and Janson next, "Alright, move them into their rooms and cells! Now! Load them in!" Carter yelled in order as Thèrèse watched silently besides him. Observing every kid that were taken in the building.

The building was one of the enormous one she'd ever seen, it was bigger than the one she used to stay in the Scorch. This one, is bigger, more shiny? She guess, it's all new like it's just finished made. They were surrounded by walls, this piqued Thèrèse interested as she walked across the center. The kids were shoving in the door; in the God knows what on the other side of the door.

"What's beyond those walls?" Thèrèse asked, who's the nearest her. Teresa followed her gaze, seeing the same gigantic walls surrounded the building.

"Beef-witted people." Carter answers as he got inside the door. Thèrèse gulps, looking at Teresa who only shrugged. Inside, was a lot more bigger than they could imagine.

Thèrèse' green eyes lit up, in awe at the sight of how big the building was. Teresa pulled Thèrèse in, pointing at the direction of where the scientists were doing their jobs. "Girls! Get back here!" Carter scolded. Thèrèse and Teresa chuckles softly at eachother before running off to where the adults are.

Noticing there's no teenagers left, Thèrèse asks, "Sir, where did the teenagers go? Where did you take them?" Carter shrugs, "Oh, nothing to worry about, dear. I'm sure the doctors will kept them safe and warm." Carter answers, his tone not rather convincing.

Thèrèse gave a look at Teresa, she knew her father's intention. There's no way he will take care of them in the 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦 way. That's not very Carter style. Now, Thèrèse is even more worried about the kids.

"Well, where are we going now?" Thèrèse questions. "Hush, kid! Just follow us and stopped asking questions!" Janson said, feeling irritated as they entered an elevator that was see-through. Chancellor Ava Paige, takes her position infront as two men are behind her. Thèrèse and Teresa were lastly at the very last back. Thèrèse noticed how they could see everything from above to the bottom. She nudged Teresa, pointing at the direction of the entire building, where they can see everything. Teresa looks in ger direction, wondering what's gotten into her to get this excited.

As the elevator continued moving downwards, Thèrèse have the chance to calculate how many floors they have. However, the height of the building shocked Thèrèse. It was 1,483 feet! Thèrèse laughs in awe. Counting the levels, starting with the rooftop levels..

She couldn't count. The floor was too many so she decided to asked her father, "Sir, how many levels are there?" Carter cursed something under his mouth as him and Janson rolled their eyes. "88-storey, kid."

Thèrèse face twisted into awe, trying to calculate between her fingers that got Teresa laughs quietly as Janson scolded them to stay quiet. They reached level-five of the building. As Chancellor Ava Paige got out, following by Carter and Janson. Thèrèse noticed a lot of nurses, doctors and scientists walks faster, pacing back and forth the corners as if they were in rushed.

"What's going on?" Teresa asked. "For this moment, it's not your problems to worry. For now, we're going to take care of you first, everyone. I will get Odette and Charles to show you your rooms."

"Separated?" Teresa asked, sounding a little disappointed.

"You will be roommates. This way, it will be a lot easier for you to work and communicate as a 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮." Hearing this, the girls low-five eachother, quietly laughs.

They turned to corners, not realising Janson has gone off somewhere, "Chancellor? Where did Janson go?" Thèrèse asks, not that she's interested, she's just curious. "Probably off somewhere, he had works to do. And so is Carter Jewels." Ava said, rather loudly and sarcastically, letting Carter knows that he needs to went off to work too.

Carter eyes widened in embarrassment, Before Thèrèse could even say a proper goodbye, her father ran off in the opposite direction. Now, it's only the three women — Ava, Thèrèse and Teresa.

Teresa noticed the discomfort on Thèrèse face, she quickly touched her arms as comforts, "Don't worry, you'll talk to him sooner." She smiled as Thèrèse nodded.

Soon enough, they came to a stop, infront of a door. Chancellor Ava Paige knocked the door twice, rather harshly. Against the door is a label, a name label — Odette Valentine.

The door opened as soon as possible, revealing a dark haired woman, around her 30s, wearing a tight green sage coat with a black jeans. "Oh, greetings, Chancellor. Is there anything I can help you?" Odette politely asks.

"Showed these girls the room I told you to prepared." Ava said, sternly. Odette nodded, Ava turned around meeting the two girls, "Now, girls. I want you with your best behaviour. I want you girls to fit in. Make friends, anything. Do you works, I want you to have some self-discipline. Remember, this is the real world. Remember your goals! Find the cure and save the world." Ava finished her reminder.

Thèrèse and Teresa stared at her with focused, locking Ava's words in their minds. Nodding, "Yes, Ma'am."

Odette cleared her throat, Ava swirled around as Thèrèse and Teresa looks over. "Uh, Should I get Charles too?" Odette asks, in which Ava nodded. "Yes, please get him. You still remember right the instructions that I told you?" Ava said, her voice dropped low.

Odette gulps before nodding. Ava sighs, turning around. "Alright girls, I will leave you under the care of Odette and Charles. May them take you to your rooms." She said, before setting off somewhere.

Leaving the girls with Odette, alone. "Alright girls! Come on! Come along!" Odette ushered as she walks past them, across the halls. Thèrèse and Teresa widened their eyes at how could Odette walks so fast. She had that 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 walk.

"Uh, Odette! Wait for us!" Teresa yelled, as they finally side by side. Odette groans, stopping at one of the doors in the hallway. Knocking the door quickly. Yep, she too had that 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 knock.

Charles opened the door calmly. Thèrèse raised her eyebrows at him. Charles a redhead, with a mustache. He wore a suit as glasses places on his face. He is nearly around his 30s too."Yes, Odette? Is this the girls we meant to show?" He said, his British accent showing.

"Yes, Now come along!" Odette grumbled, now Thèrèse, Teresa and Charles followed her. "I'm going to teach you all the instructions and rules while you work here," Odette informed as they got into an elevator, the same see through but not the same elevator.

Thèrèse and Teresa nodded, "Yes Ma'am." Odette placed her hand on her chest as she turned around, "Oh please girls, just call me Odette." Thèrèse and Teresa nodded awkwardly. The elevator was going up until they reached level eight. How many level this building has is Thèrèse questions.

From the moment she stepped out, Thèrèse knew that that level was only meant for workers only. "The two of you are the youngest to ever worked here. Only level seven, eight and nine are the levels of rooms or you can say the places where you rest and sleep. Other than that, the whole building is for works, for different Scientists fields. And of course, we have works and mission to solved."

Thèrèse and Teresa nodded all along as they walked through the rooms of the hallways, "We also have cafeteria, libraries, and other things you may explore by yourself." Odette explained as Charles leads the way.

Eventually, they come across this one room. The room that was the end of the hallway, the very back of the hallway. Thèrèse pouted, maybe this isn't too bad after all, maybe if Teresa will be by her side. Unlocking the door, Odette opened it for the girls to steps inside. The room was huge and comfortable. It has two bunk beds, and a big window that you can see the first thing you walked into the room. Besides the bed, are two big desks. Thèrèse hummed exploring more of the room.

There was a bookshelf placed besides the closet, decoration filled in a box besides the door. Odette noticed Teresa was staring at it, "And if you want to make your room more comfortable, you can decorates it using those.. things. Alright, there you go roomies! Bye! See you at cafeteria on breakfast soon!" She said, closing the door.

Leaving Thèrèse alone with Teresa. "Now what?" Teresa asked. "Now we clean ourselves." Thèrèse answers simply, trying to keep the conversation short. Walking over the closet, Thèrèse grabbed a warm, neutral coloured cardigan and a black boot-cut jeans. She grabbed the hangers and laid it on her bed.

"Why are you pretending I'm not here?" Teresa asks suddenly. "What'd you say?" Thèrèse said, paying no attention. "You're acting as if I wasn't here, Thèrèse." Thèrèse rolled her eyes as respond. "Look, Teresa, I'm very tired. And I'm really miserable. Alright? I just wanted to take a shower and a nice nap. Then, we can have breakfast. I think you should too, Teresa." She elaborated, grabbing a large baby blue towel that was in a box inside their closet.

Teresa dropped into the sheets, huffing. "Where'd you wanna sleep? Top or bottom?" Thèrèse asks, heading towards the bathroom. "Top." Teresa replies simply. Thèrèse hummed, getting into the shower.

Teresa stared at the spot where Thèrèse just stood, before snapping out of her thoughts. Just noticing, their room actually have a window seat, surrounded by another bookshelf from either sides of them.

Teresa sat, staring at the sunset, many thoughts swirling in her mind. And one of them is Thèrèse.
