Olive prepared for the trip to Mexico at Scott's house. She packed her stuff into a duffel bag while Liam stood at the counter, whining about why he couldn't come. Isaac handed her a box of protein bars and she looked at him with furrowed brows.

"We might get hungry," He shrugged, earning an eye roll from Olive as she shoved them into the bag.

"I don't understand why I can't just go! I'm a part of the pack too, aren't I?" Liam looked between the two wolves and Olive huffed, opening her mouth to explain it to him again before a voice coming down the stairs interrupted her.

"Because it's a full moon and I don't feel like driving all the way down to Mexico just to have you rip my throat out," Stiles enters the room with Malia following behind him.

"You can lock me up, right? Chain me down in the backseat or something," Liam looks between the four of them and Olive shook her head.

"You tore through the chains at the lakehouse, remember? I had to literally chase you through the woods," Olive rose an eyebrow and Stiles nodded to her.

"Yeah, we would have to freeze you in carbonite to get you down there," Stiles rose an eyebrow and Liam shrugged.

"Okay, where do we get... carbonite?" Liam looked between Stiles and Olive. Stiles hung his head, screwing his eyes shut as he let out a sigh.

"Seriously? You haven't seen it either?" Stiles narrowed his eyes at Liam before turning to Olive, who also had a confused look on her face. "Oh my god! We are having a movie night or something when we get back and I am forcing all of you to watch Star Wars!"

Stiles flung his arms in the air frustratedly as he turned to leave, the rest of the older teens following in tow. Isaac shot Liam an apologetic look before bringing up the rear of the group. Liam shook his head, running after them.

"Wait!" He shouted, stepping in front of Stiles. "What if you put me in the trunk?"

"Liam," Olive sighed, moving in front of him. "You've been a werewolf all of five minutes, you don't have to do this."

"I know I don't, but I want to," He kept eye contact, his tone of his voice suddenly serious. "There has to be bigger chains, a bigger trunk- something! There has to be."

Stiles furrowed his eyebrows, thinking for a moment before turning to Liam.

"Maybe there is."

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

The group pulls into a garage and files out of the Jeep just as Braeden pulls up in a van. Olive turns to Stiles with an impressed look on her face and Stiles furrows his eyebrows.

"How did you get a prison transport van?" He narrows his eyes and Braeden shrugs.

"I'm a U.S Marshall," She says as if it were obvious and Stiles tilts his head.

"Yeah I just thought that was a cover-" He stops himself, turning to the entrance of the garage as Derek's car pulls in. Derek steps out with Peter following behind him, earning an eye roll from Stiles.

"Are we really bringing him?" Derek asks, gesturing to Liam. Stiles raises an eyebrow at him.

"Are we really bringing him?" Stiles repeats, gesturing to Peter. who scoffs.

"We're bringing everyone we can," Peter gives Stiles a snarky smile before turning to the rest of the group. "And considering Scott and Kira were taken the night before a full moon, we should probably get going. A werewolf can't steal a True Alpha's power, but maybe a Nagual Jaguar with the power of Tezcatlipoca behind her can. So if everyone is sufficiently freaked out, I say we get going."

"We can't," Stiles shakes his head, gaining the attention of Peter. "Not without Allison and  Lydia."

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

After an hour and a half of waiting, everyone is getting tense. The girls still haven't shown up yet and they're starting to lose daylight. Olive sighs as she watches Stiles pace back and forth next to the Jeep, leaning her head against the door.

"What are they even doing at the school anyways?" Derek appeared next to her, folding his arms across his chest.

"We have the sword, but we needed something with a stronger scent. They went to get a jacket out of Kira's locker," Olive turned just as Stiles tripped over a crack in the pavement, earning a snicker from Isaac, who is sitting inside the Jeep watching from the open window.

"Idiot," He mumbled under his breath and Derek looks down at him with a raised eyebrow.

"They should've been back by now," Olive furrows her brows, turning to the rest of the group.

"I got nothing," Stiles shakes his head as he shoves his phone back in his pocket.

"If they have a car they can catch up to us," Braeden looks between the group and gestures to the cars, but Stiles immediately shuts her down.

"No, what if something happened? What if they're in trouble?" Stiles narrows his eyes at Braeden, who shrugs.

"Fine, you stay, you find them, we're gonna go on without you," Peter turns around, tossing his arms in the air as he moves to get into the car.

"I could call Mason," Liam pipes up, already reaching for his phone. "He has a study group at the school, maybe he could look for them."

"Alright, fine," Stiles sighs frustratedly, gesturing for Liam to pull out his phone before turning to get into the Jeep, Malia following in tow.

"You're with me," Derek says just as Olive is about to join them. She turns to him with a puzzled look and he just nods to the van.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

The team is off, all three of their vehicles in pursuit of the border between California and Mexico. Derek and Olive are sat in the back of the transport van across from Liam, who is cuffed to the bench. Liam rattles the cuffs against the bench, looking over at the two with an optimistic look on his face.

"I brought something to help you," Derek says, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a familiar-looking disk. Olive tilts her head, looking over at Derek. "This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful supernatural talisman, we use it to teach betas how to control themselves on a full moon."

Olive stares down at the triskelion with a skeptical look on her face. She felt Derek staring at her and as she turned to meet his gaze, he looked at her expectantly. She widens her eyes at him and he nods over to Liam, pressing his mouth into a hard line. Olive rolls her eyes, turning to Liam.

"Yes," She nods, looking between the two. "It is very powerful."

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

The drive progressed and Olive looked through the gate at Peter's car, watching it with an uneasy look on her face.

"What's wrong?" Derek spoke up, looking from Liam over to her. She just sighed, shaking her head.

"Nothing, it's fine," She glanced back at the van before turning her attention to Liam, who was taking deep breaths and focusing on not turning.

"Do I need to kill Isaac?" He rose an eyebrow, looking over at her and she laughed lightly, shaking her head.

"No, he didn't do anything," She looked back over at Derek, who narrowed his eyes.

"Yet," He deadpanned, causing her to laugh. "I'll be watching."

"I'm sure you will be," She nodded, earning a chuckle from Derek. He just shook his head, smiling at her as he wrapped his arm around her and squeezed her tightly. "He'll be okay. So will you."

"I know," She nodded against his shoulder. "Eventually."

They sat there for a moment, seemingly waiting for Liam to get out of control, but so far the worst he'd done is break a sweat.

The moon rose as the van drove further to their destination, and with its rising, Liam grew more agitated. He gripped the triskelion tightly with clawed fingers as his chest heaved. The two wolves hoped the cuffs would be enough to hold him, but their hopes were dwindling.

"Whatever you're gonna teach me," Liam growled as the cuffs clanged against the rails of the seat. "I think you better start."

Derek and Olive exchanged a glance as Liam's eyes began to glow yellow. He breathes heavier, trying his hardest to fight off the effects of the moon, but he was losing his grip on himself.

"Liam, are you with me?" Derek said slowly. Liam nodded, raising his head up to meet his gaze. "We have a mantra that we use, you repeat it, like meditation. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you."

"Okay, okay, okay!" Liam strained, rattling the cuffs again. "What are the words?"

"Okay look at the triskelion, see the symbol? Each spiral means something," Derek starts, and Olive looks at him with a small smile on her face, remembering the day at the old warehouse when he was teaching her the very same thing.

"Alpha, beta, omega," She nods, earning Liam's attention. "It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to the other."

"All you have to do is say the three words and with each one, you tell yourself you're getting calmer. More in control," Derek continues, watching Liam as he struggles to hang on. "Go ahead."

"Alpha, beta-" Liam starts, speaking quickly but Derek interrupts him.

"Slower."

"Alpha... Beta... Omega," Liam starts, groaning as he clatters the cuffs again. "Alpha... Beta... Omega."

"Good, say it again. Remember every time you say the words, you're getting calmer," Derek speaks slowly, trying his best to not agitate him more.

"Alpha... Beta..." Liam's voice becomes distorted as his eyes begin to glow and his fangs grow from his mouth.

"Derek it's not working," Olive looks over at him with wide eyes as Derek pushes her away from Liam, ready to take the brunt of his attack.

"Liam, say it again," Derek starts, but Liam rises out of his seat and growls in his face, shaking the van. Braeden struggles to keep control of the wheel as Liam tries to break free from his cuffs.

"Derek!" Breaden yells from the front, looking back as she slows the speed of the van.

"Keep going!" He responds as Liam breaks free from the cuffs on his hands and lunges for Derek.

"I don't think alpha beta omega is resonating with him," Olive strains as she tries to help Derek keep him from breaking the footholds.

"Do you know any other mantras?" Derek turns to her and she furrows her eyebrows, thinking for a moment.

"Actually, yeah," She nods, inching closer to him. "Liam, what three things cannot long be hidden?"

Liam turns to her, stopping for a minute before shaking his head, turning back to Derek, and trying to break free.

"Liam, look at me! What three things cannot long be hidden?" She raises her voice, trying to get the young wolf's attention, but he is dead set on breaking out. "What three things?"

Liam turns to her, watching as she nods slowly. He struggles a bit, his wolf form still trying to take over.

"Sun, the moon, the truth," He pants, his eyes fading from yellow back to their normal color and Olive gets a relieved look on her face.

"That's it, say it again," She kept her voice calm and focused, trying her best to keep him in control.

"The sun, the moon, the truth," Liam repeats, calming down as Derek removes Liam's hands from his neck, allowing him to sit back on the bench.

"Derek?" Braeden turns around, looking through the grate and back at the wolves.

"We're okay," Derek nods, as Liam repeats the mantra, and his features fade back to normal. Olive sighs, hanging her head and resting it on Derek's shoulder. Derek removes his hands from Liam, patting Olive on the arm before sitting back and waiting for their arrival.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

"I can't believe that worked," Olive let out a deep breath as she rested her head against the back of the van.

"Yeah, for a minute there I thought I was gonna tear the two of you apart," Liam chuckled as the van pulled to a stop and Olive deadpanned.

"Yeah, that would've made for an awkward ride home, so thanks," She nodded, earning a chuckle from Derek.

"Think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglesia?" Derek rose an eyebrow and Liam rose an eyebrow back at him, bringing his hand forward and unsheathing his claws. The two wolves look down at his hand, mildly impressed.

"We might actually be able to do this," Olive looked between the two boys as a smile crept onto her face. Derek mimicked her expression before moving to open the doors of the van.

The doors flung open, and much to their surprise, a berserker was waiting on the other side of it. Derek's eyes went wide as the creature pulled him from the doorway and threw him to the ground. Olive shouted for Braeden as she moved to go after him.

"No!" Braeden shouted, grabbing her gun and turning back to her. "Get Liam out, I'll handle it."

"No-"

"Olive," Braeden looked at her with a stern face, her tone serious. "Do it."

Olive's eyes filled with tears as she quickly rummaged for the keys to Liam's chains. She fumbled around, her hands shaking vigorously as she tried to unlock them. All she could hear were the blows landing to Derek and his screams of agony. Olive shook her head, trying to focus on the task at hand, but she was losing it.

"Olly," Liam said slowly, trying to gain her attention. She shook her head, letting out something between a frustrated groan and a sob. Liam reached down, putting his hand on top of hers. "Olly."

She looked up at him, fear taking over her expression as tears streamed down her face. Liam took the keys, placing them in the lock and turning it, freeing his feet. Olive stared at him with wide eyes as he left the van and held out his hand. She took it, uneasy breaths leaving her as she stepped out of it, staring at the sight in front of her with wide eyes.

Everyone gathered around as Derek fell to the ground, Braeden by his side in an instant. Stiles and Malia exited the Jeep, freezing in their places when they saw what had happened. Peter slid to a halt, not knowing how to process what he was looking at. Isaac followed him out of the car and took in his surroundings, his eyes landed on Derek and his heart sank to his stomach, he turned to Olive, who was frozen in her spot next to the van.

"Derek," Olive's voice was barely audible. Her feet were thinking on their own as she started for him. She made it a few paces before she collapsed to the ground. Isaac caught her, holding her close as she clung to his arm.

"How bad is it?" Peter asked, stepping toward his nephew.

"I'm fine, I'm fine!" Derek held out his hand, shaking his head. Peter stopped, staring at him, seemingly in shock. "Just get to Scott."

No one moved. They watched Derek carefully, unsure of their next move.

"Just find him. We'll be right behind you," Derek continued, pleading for them to go, pleading for them to not watch him die, but they were statues. "Go!"

Peter looked nervously at the teens before running off into the church. Stiles was the next to follow, Malia and Liam close behind. Isaac looked down at Olive and then back a Derek.

"She's not going anywhere," Isaac shook his head, looking at the state of her. She was shell-shocked. She was just staring ahead, a wide-eyed, far-off look on her face as she watched Derek writhe.

"Isaac," Derek pleaded. Not her. She didn't need to see this. "Take her."

"Derek," Isaac shook his head, gesturing down at Olive.

"I can't," Olive spoke up, looking up at Isaac and then over at Derek again. "I won't leave you."

She mustered the strength, rising to her feet and going over to him. She knelt beside him, staring at his wound as she put her hand on top of his.

"I'm not leaving you," She shook her head, looking him in the eyes. "Isaac go. Help them."

Isaac thought for a minute, looking between the entrance to the church and the scene before him. He turned to Olive who just nodded. He took a deep breath before starting toward the entrance, following the group into the depths of the church.

Olive stared in the direction he'd left in for a moment, thinking that maybe if she'd kept her eyes trained on the church it would pause the events around her, freezing her in time forever.

"Olly," Derek's voice broke her from her trance. She looked down at him, her eyes watering as she took in his state. "Olly, please go."

"I'm not leaving, I can't leave you like this," She shook her head, as he groaned, writhing from the agony. She squeezed his hand and her veins ran black as she absorbed his pain, straining as she did.

"Not- not too much," Derek breathed out, resting his head on the rock behind him. Olive frowned as she stared at him before furrowing her eyebrows. She looked off into the distance before turning to Braeden with wide eyes, attempting to not alert Derek. Braeden got the message, pulling a gun out of her belt loop and handing it to Derek.

"Stay with me, you're gonna be okay," She nodded looking around to make sure they were still in the clear.

"It's a mortal wound, I'm feeling pretty mortal right now," Derek looked between them, chuckling a bit. "Lydia was right."

"I'm not gonna let you die," Olive shook her head, determination taking over her. The growl from the distance came again, this time a lot closer. Close enough for all of them to hear it.

"You might just have to focus on saving yourself," Derek looked over at her and she shook her head.

"Stay here, I'll check it out," Braeden grabbed her shotgun, cocking it as she approached the direction of the noise. Olive watched her anxiously as she disappeared into the distance.

"What do you hear?" Derek asked, his breath getting heavier. Olive looked down at him, smiling slightly before opening her mouth to respond, but Derek stopped her. "Don't sugarcoat it. Tell me."

"Two sets of footsteps, one of them is Kate, I think," Olive watched the direction Braeden left in, trying to focus on the sound. "Braeden's firing. Cars just pulled in."

"Cars?" Derek questioned, looking at her with furrowed brows and she nodded, inhaling deeply.

"It's Argent," She looked at him wide-eyed, and Derek sighed. "They're coming!"

"You need to help them," Derek said, his voice noticeably weaker.

"No, no I can't-"

"Please-" He started, shaking his head as he's interrupted by a cough, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.

"Derek?" Olive said wearily, placing a hand on his shoulder and shaking him lightly.

"Still here," His voice was quiet, he was fading fast. Olive watched as the gunfire spilled into the area, Kate and the berserker following. She looked between them and Derek, unsure of what to do.

"Derek," She started, searching for something to say. He turned his head to look at her, giving her a smile before his head lolled to the side and his eyes lost their focus. Her eyes went wide, as she leaned down to see if he was breathing. Nothing.

"Derek?" She questioned, growing more frantic by the second. She shook him, trying to get him to wake up, but no response. "No, no, no, no, come on!"

She screamed frustratedly, trying to hold back the sob in her throat as she attempted to wake him. She tried everything she could think of but nothing happened. He just lay there, lifeless and bloody. Olive let out a strangled sob, punching the rock he was laying against. Pieces clattered behind her as she gripped onto him, sobbing into his stiff shoulder.

She felt a hand on her back, turning to see Braeden, who was trying to hold back her own tears. Olive looked up at her as the gunfire ceased. She looked at her with a puzzled face, turning to see the Calaveras approaching the van.

"This is her fault," Olive said in realization, looking off in the direction Kate had run off in. "She did this."

"I know, I know, but you can't just-" Braeden started before Olive jumped over the rock, unsheathing her claws and making her way for the van.

"Yes, I can," She shouted back as Kate appeared from around the van. Olive growled at her, now fully transformed, as she lunged for Kate. The gunfire resumed, trying to help her, but it only ended with Olive getting caught in the crossfire.

"Stop! Stop firing!" Argent screamed from behind a building, but the Calaveras were persistent

Olive growled as a bullet grazed her arm, lunging at Kate and slashing her in the chest. She fell back, stumbling before regaining her balance.

"You are a feisty one," Kate taunted her, approaching her slowly. "You were his first, weren't you?"

"Don't talk about him," Olive shook her head, anger bubbling up from her stomach and spreading through her entire body.

"Look, I'm sorry, really, but I needed to figure out how to control it. He wasn't going to teach me now, so I had to make some... adjustments, you can see it, right?" Kate folded her arms across her chest as she inched closer to Olive.

"Do you know what I see, Kate?" Olive rose an eyebrow, letting out an angry chuckle as she stepped closer. "I see a lonely, selfish bitch who doesn't care who she hurts as long she gets what she wants."

"Ouch," Kate placed a hand over her heart, feigning offense. "Someone's angry."

"I'm a little more than angry," Olive took another step forward, now less than a foot away from Kate. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a second. When she opened them again, they glowed a bright purple. "I'm furious."

Kate seemed taken aback by the change in her eye color and Olive used that as her opportunity to grab her by her hair and flip her to the ground. She growled at her, slashing into her repeatedly. She was so clouded by her emotions that she didn't even hear the gunfire anymore, she didn't see anything but red. She was only pulled out of her rage when she felt something knock into her, tossing her off of Kate and causing her to roll off to the side. She looked up, ready to attack whatever it was, until she saw a black wolf standing over Kate. The wolf's eyes glowed a familiar blue, and Olive widened her own as she crawled backward.

"No way," She breathed out as she watched Derek transform in front of her.

"You were dead," Kate looked up at him, pushing herself back with all the strength she could muster.

"No, I was evolving," Derek smirked, glancing over at Olive, who broke out into a grin, before looking back down at Kate. "Something you'll never do."

Derek moved over to a berserker, grabbing it by the skull and shattering it to pieces. Kate watched dumbfoundedly as her soldier disintegrated into the ground right in front of her. She gathered her strength, backing away as fast as she could and running in the opposite direction. Olive watched, moving to follow her.

"Don't," Derek's voice stopped her. She turned to him with furrowed eyebrows and he nodded over to Argent, who shot her. Kate sent him a puzzled look and took off, but Argent was quick to follow. "Let him handle it."

Olive stood up, nodding as she smiled, her eyes welling up again as she ran up to Derek, tossing her arms around him. He didn't hesitate to respond, squeezing her tightly and lifting her off the ground.

"I thought you were gone for good," Olive whispered, earning a sigh from Derek.

"It's okay, I'm here now," Derek reassured her as he set her down. She smiled at him, before pulling a wry face. Derek rose an eyebrow at her, and she just started laughing.

"You're naked," She said through laughter, causing Derek to shake his head, letting out a scoff. "You're totally naked."

"Yeah, yeah, you were too," He shoved her shoulder lightly as he turns to see Braeden standing behind the rock where he was before. He made his way over to her, grabbing her face and kissing her. Olive smiled at them before moving to help Parrish clean up their stuff.

The sun rose over the church as Olive helped Derek and Braeden pack the car. Argent spoke faintly to the rest of the pack in the background and Olive looked back at him with a sad smile.

"He'll be back, I'm sure," Derek put a hand on her shoulder and she just sighed.

"I don't know," She frowned slightly, looking back up at him. "First he's leaving and now you're going on this little extended vacation?"

"I have something that might cheer you up," Derek rose an eyebrow, rummaging in his pocket and pulling out a keyring. Olive furrowed her eyebrows as he handed it to her.

"The keys to the loft?" She fiddled with them in her hands and then looked up at him with narrow eyes. "How long are gonna be gone for?"

"Just keep the place clean for me while I'm away," Derek nodded, taking a deep breath and Olive's face fell. She took a step back from him before glancing at the rest of the pack.

"You're not coming back, are you?" She kept her voice quiet, not really wanting to know the answer to her question. Derek placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her to look up at him.

"No," Derek shook his head, and before Olive could protest he put his hand up to stop her. "Whether you believe it or not, you don't need me anymore. You proved that to me when you handled Liam back in the van. I can't teach you anything else, hell, you've started teaching me a few things. You're gonna be okay, I meant it when I said that. You're one of the strongest people I know."

"I'll always need you," She gives him a sad smile and his face softens as he pulls her in for a hug.

"You've always been more than just my beta, Olly. You're my family," He says as he rests his chin on her head. "If you need anything, I will be there. Just call."

"Okay," She whispers as they pull away, looking up at him with teary eyes. "Don't change your number."

Derek chuckles and shakes his head, looking down at her. "Be safe."

"You too," She nods as she turns to go, but she stops, turning back to him. "I love you, Derek."

"I love you too, Olly," He gives her a tight-lipped grin, his own eyes pricking with tears as she walks away from him and over to the rest of the pack.

Olive took a deep breath, walking up to Isaac, who is staring at her with a puzzled look on his face. She just shook her head, leaning into him. He wrapped an arm around her as the rest of the pack gathered around them. The Calaveras and Argent gathered their ranks and drove off, leaving only one more goodbye to be said. Braeden got into the front seat of the car and Derek came around to the trunk, looking back at the teens and smiling at them, giving them a nod. Olive gave him a tight-lipped grin, fighting off her tears as he got into the driver's seat of the car and drove off.

"What was that about, we're gonna see him later, right?" Isaac looked down at her with a raised eyebrow and Olive sighed, looking around at the rest of the group.

"No," She shook her head, wiping her hands on her pant legs. "He's not coming back."

"Then Stiles said Scott and Kira went to Mexico, which is why they missed the game. So we went down to Mexico to drive them back from Mexico and that's why we all missed practice," Liam explained, gesturing about as he looked between Coach and the four teens standing next to him. Coach looked dumbfoundedly between the five kids and then over at Scott.

"You took Kira on a date to Mexico?" He blinked at him a few times as Scott stammered slightly.

"It was our first real date," Scott smiled a little bit as Coach took a deep breath.

"In Mexico?"

"They wanted to do something special," Stiles piped up, patting Scott on the shoulder.

"Okay, I believe you," Coach nodded, looking between the five kids and Olive furrowed her eyebrows.

"Really?" She looked over at him and Coach shook his head.

"Absolutely not," Coach sneered at the kids in front of them and then glanced at the back of the room, a far-off look in his eyes. "I've had experiences south of the border that would knock the genitals off of you."

Olive squinted her eyes, trying to get the mental image out of her head.

"Still, let me be clear to you idiots," Coach directed his attention to the older teens and they all perked up. "This kid is the best talent I've seen in years. So, he's your responsibility now. You're all gonna stick together, you're gonna look out for each other, and you're gonna have each other's backs. You got it?"

Scott looks over at Liam with a smile on his face, nodding at Coach's words.

"We got it."

"So what now?" Isaac plopped down on the couch of the loft with a bowl of popcorn in his lap as Olive brought in drinks for them. "With Peter in Eichen and the Calaveras after Kate, there's nothing for us to chase anymore, whatever are we to do?"

"Do you want your old room back?" Olive looked over at him and he raised his eyebrows, blinking at her a few times.

"What?"

"I was thinking about it, and since Argent is gone and Allison is staying with Lydia, you don't have a place to go. This loft is huge and I'm not expecting Derek back anytime soon, so why don't you move in?" Olive reached over to grab a piece of popcorn out of the bowl and Isaac just stared at her slack-jawed.

"I was gonna stay with Scott," He says, still unsure that she really just asked him that.

"Or you can do that," She shrugged, smiling a bit at his demeanor.

"No, no," Isaac shook his head, taking a minute to compose himself. "I would love that, but what happened to taking things slow and friends first again and-"

"Isaac," She stopped him, placing a hand on his knee. "If I learned anything from Mexico it's that life is way too short to hold grudges. I don't want to be friends anymore."

"What?' He asked, half paying attention to what she was saying and half very aware of her hand on his knee. She laughed lightly, using her other hand to grab his face.

"I don't want to be friends anymore," She said it slower this time, and the realization set in. Isaac grinned, closing the gap between them and kissing her softly. She reciprocated instantly, smiling into it. They pulled away after a minute and rested their foreheads together.

"So are we gonna have separate rooms or..." Isaac trailed off, earning a laugh from Olive, who shoved him lightly and settled into the couch. Isaac smiled over at her, putting his arm around her as she browsed the movies to watch. "Seriously, what's the plan?"

"We'll figure it out," She looked over at him, smiling as she leans her head on his shoulder. "We always do."
